this building and if you're sick and body i want you to call upon the name of jesus that's it church he can heal you right where you are you're never too far from him but he can't heal you yes that faith connect with your works or with your praise and i want you to begin to say god i've come to worship you i've come to praise you i've come to give you everything that i am come on that's it and then i looked over here [Music] and i saw brother sean on the other leg with a broken leg or something and i thought two things first thing i thought was broken legs are catching somewhere it's contagious or something that's the first thing second thing was if they can come down here and dance and worship god somebody else needs to come on down and give god a little glory don't you let the devil talk you out of it don't you let your condition talk you out of it don't you let your circumstances talk you out of it hey you want to dance you want to shout you out to praise him till the possible the cost is 67 and it is due by september the 12th then friday september the 24th there is a golf tournament this is also for our seed money project it is at falls village golf club and you glad today that the lord brought me into the church when i was just a little boy i learned about the power of the name of jesus i'm glad tonight that i'm in a one god jesus name apostolic church where i still believe that something happens [Music] something can happen when you call on that name i've been in some desperate situations where other things didn't work i didn't work the things that are on this earth didn't work but when i called on that next i don't know what you need in this house tonight you may need a healing a miracle why don't you just try calling all that something happens when i call your name something happens when i call your name something happens when i call your name something happens when i call your day something happens when i call your friends [Music] of all it's not like a rock concert but but but that shows a fundamental flaw in how people look at worship and praise because we didn't copy rock concerts rock concerts copied worship [Applause] [Music] gods of this world that cannot heal that cannot deliver that cannot break chains they have eyes but they cannot see they have ears but they cannot hear they have mouths but they cannot speak but when you call on the name of jesus [Music] we bring our praise to him he's worthy of praise [Music] i need somebody to get loose in the holy ghost right now don't sit back and spectate don't sit back and watch don't spit back and wait for something to happen come on here [Music] [Applause] [Music] i need somebody to lift your voice in this house [Music] i need somebody to give god glory god that's the incense he's interested in and so what we're doing what you're seeing in this demonstration of praise and worship is this is our incense not physical incense that you burn with candle and flame but an incense that comes from our heart from our spirit that god was always looking for oh thank you jesus so we're glad that you are here if you're visiting with us online we have a lot of need workers to help us we appreciate your burden for that and this week several of us myself and others included are going to be headed to pigeon forge tennessee to the annual wpf summit conference there's going to be big decisions made there's going to be worship and people glorifying god be in prayer for that that god would just have his way this conference touches people all around the world it ministers to people who are not here physically but they are impacted by this church and by others that are coming together decisions are going to be made god has a big church media team i want you to put up those pictures that i sent to you sister lucy can i came to me a while back she said i'm going to be going home to africa to kenya to my people and and pray for me and she said i think god's going to do something in my village when she got there she started and helped start with the church that bishop negota aston had founded a new church in her village this is their first sunday service a jesus name holy ghost filled church god bless you sister lucy for your burden we love you we appreciate you hey god's got a big church [Music] and that church is connected right here to fpc and tdb she just jumps right in into a place she doesn't know all that well and just helps her sister out we're thankful for her and her husband we're glad that they can be with us brother parks this morning did such a wonderful job preaching amen i want to act like i believe i want there to be a performance in my life and i'm not going to wait for it to happen as i'm going it's going to happen praise god it's going to happen along the way it's going to happen in a service it's going to happen at an altar call it's going to happen in a prayer room it's going to happen as you serve god faithfully and you put action with your faith he walked in the holy ghost and i know he's got something from god tonight we're glad they could be with us here this sunday and we're going to be praying for them as they continue to evangelize and preach this gospel but the parks come let's give the lord a hand clap for praise bringing them to us take your liberty tonight and preach to us come on all across the amen god is already doing such a great work and i'm just believing that we're going to top it off right here with the word of god and your response to the word of god that that the lord has placed on my heart to deliver to you this evening if you have your bibles turn with me to colossians chapter colossians chapter 2 as you're turning in your bibles to colossians chapter 2 i want to take this time to honor this church every saint of god for the kindness you have shown myself and my wife while we've been here it's been a tremendous time met so many great people developed so many new relationships and i'm thankful to be a part of the church amen i'm thankful to be a part of the church i give honor to your pastor pastor ursian and his family what a tremendous family people of god doing a great work of god i honor them look up to them some of the best they're just simply some of the best amen i honor brother galindo and his family and i honor bishop godair though he's not here today i give him honor and double honor for the man of god that he is amen colossians chapter 2 verse number 6 the bible says as ye have therefore received christ jesus the lord so walking in him rooted and built up into him and established in the faith as ye have been taught abounding there and with thanksgiving beware beware least any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit after the traditions of men and after the rudiments of the world and not after christ for in him dwelleth all the fullness of the godhead bodily in him dwelleth all the fullness of the godhead bodily amen for the next few moments i want to preach to you from this subject he came himself he came himself would you set your bibles down one more time would you lift your hands all across the house would you ask the lord to speak to us tonight to strengthen us to help us god we need you today let your presence let your power let your spirit saturate us lord we need more of you tonight jesus oh god we need you to have your way in this house we need you to move we need you to touch hearts touch minds let your spirit flow in this house god oh come on let's give him praise now all across the house come on put your hands together open up your mouth and give god great praise thank you jesus we magnify you we glorify you [Music] amen i have one objective here tonight and that is to glorify jesus how many of you are going to help me do that tonight amen if you're going to help me do that put your hands together one more time as you're seated in the house of the lord on august 28 2005 the day before hurricane katrina was set to make landfall on the gulf coast the national weather service sent out an alert notifying those residents in the area that most of the gulf coast would be uninhabitable for weeks or perhaps even longer the mayor of new orleans at the time ordered that the city be evacuated and he opened up the superdome as a shelter but the thousands of people who who sought shelter and refuge there found little to no food water or medical care hurricane katrina made landfall and caused unbelievable destruction upon the gulf coast americans across the country were shocked by the images they saw in katrina's immediate aftermath people stood on roofs waving their arms and pleading for help as the flood waters inundated their communities desperate folks in the superdome appeared in heartbreaking interviews begging for aid in their time of need making matters worse 30 of the residents of new orleans were poor creating the impression that the government was insensitive and neglectful of those less fortunate while all of this was going on on the gulf coast the president of the united states remained aloof from disaster day after day president george w bush continued a long planned vacation on his 1600 acre prairie chapel ranch in crawford texas his staff did not want to burden him with a detailed information about the situation taking place along the gulf coast when katrina made landfall president bush had been on holiday at his ranch for 27 days according to tabulations kept by news outlets and as the hurricane uh grew into a catastrophe and as the nation watched the coverage in horror president bush's aides decided that they needed to inform the president about it and start terms and so one of his aides decided uh to put together a video showing scenes from the hurricane ravaged communities and he showed it to the president at this point president bush decided that he should cut his vacation short and he should return home two days early to preside over the federal response from washington he flew back to washington on august 31st after 29 days at his ranch and on the way back he had air force one fly over part of the devastated area of the gulf coast and he glimpsed at the wreckage from the plane white house officials allowed news photographers to take photos of president bush looking out of a window of air force one but the pr stunt backfired as many americans began to see the photo as it circulated around and it became to them evidence that president bush was was too far and unt and un uncaring and detached from the situation that was taking place on the land president bush later on decided and he told a few people that were interviewing him that it was a huge mistake allowing them to take the photos of him because it made it seem like he did not care and he wasn't too concerned about the people that were damaged by this hurricane and this caused people to look at him in a way that wasn't very good in the sense of him being the president of the united states and the reason being was because in their misery in their hurt and their brokenness in the ravaged communities the nation's leader didn't come himself president bush's approval rating began to decline because of his handling of katrina and the gulf coast but in strike contrast to this story one of the moments in president bush's terms that that that most would say is just his most popular and most approved among americans took place on september 14 2001. the day points to one of the most riveting and important points in his presidency illustrating uh the personal qualities that he is most proud of pride in making decisions from the god an overwhelming trust in his instincts and a certain strength and how he conducts himself during a crisis on september 11 2001 the day of the horrendous terrorist attacks in new york and washington president bush seemed a bit off balance and and more than a bit unclear on how he should respond to this situation and it was understandable nobody knew what to expect there were all kinds of rumors on that first day of the crisis and many of them were credible but by september 14th president bush rioted himself and realized that he now had a mission for his presidency a fight against what he called evil doers in a global war on terror the president flew down to new york and he stood at ground zero where the twin towers were still smoldering and the firefighters were still rushing in and out working as he conducted his tour around the site suddenly president bush climbed upon the top of some rebel he put his arm around an elderly firefighter he took a bullhorn in his hand and in this moment he began to tell the firefighters and the first responders that the country's prayers and thoughts were with him and at that moment someone in the crowd shouted out that they could not hear the president and at this moment president bush responded to that individual i can hear you he declared the rest of the world hears you and the people who knock down these buildings will hear from all of us soon the crowd react with long prolonged uh loud chants of usa and it was this moment president bush's presidency that endeared the nation to him because in the rubble in the her in the brokenness and pain the nation's leader came himself today many secular and liberal writers have written a number of terrible and horrific articles against christianity and god because they claim that god committed spiritual child abuse when he sent his son instead of coming himself but you and i know the truth tonight that he did not send another but he in fact came himself aren't you glad tonight that you serve a god that came himself up in the midst of the muck and the mire of your life he did not send another but he came himself up to pick you up put you on your feet place you on solid ground oh yeah he loved you and i enough that he did not send someone else but that he came himself the apostle paul would settle this in his first letter to timothy when he would write and he would say in first timothy 3 16 and without controversy great is the mystery of godliness god was manifest in the flesh god was justified in the spirit god was seen of angels god was preached unto the gentiles god was believed on into the world and god was received up into glory paul said it is without controversy meaning it was in agreement with everyone in the new testament church that god did not sense someone else but that he truly came himself [Applause] we also read in the account of the gospel according to john that he would say infer in john chapter 1 verse 1 through 5 and verse 14 in the beginning was the word and the word was with god and the word was god the same was in the beginning with god all things were made by him and without him was not anything made that was made in him was life and the life was the light of men and the light shined in darkness and the darkness comprehended it not and verse 14 says and the word the word that was god was made flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld his glory as of the only begotten of the father full of grace and full of truth i've come tonight to stand and boldly declare against the slander against the doubt against the unbeliever that he truly came himself and his name is jesus do you want to shout that name right now if you know that he's the mighty god in christ you ought to shout the name jesus give him praise all across the house jesus who was god manifest in the flesh who was the word made flesh would say to the jews that were seeking to kill him in john chapter 5 verse 39 he would tell him search the scriptures for in them you think you have eternal life and they are they which testify of me what jesus was telling the jews was to look at the old testament scriptures to look at their bible why because the word of god testified that he truly is god in the flesh so let's look at them tonight the prophet isaiah would prophesy of the birth of jesus christ and he would say in isaiah 9 and 6 for unto us a child is born everybody shout a child unto us a son is given everybody shout a son and the government shall be upon his shoulder and his name shall be called wonderful counselor the mighty god everybody shout the mighty god the everlasting father shout the everlasting father and the prince of peace what isaiah was trying to grasp and put into this one scripture was that the terms child and son were referring to the manifestation of the mighty god and the everlasting father can i just say it again that he truly uh he truly came himself born in a manger in bethlehem i was a son but that son was the mighty god [Applause] isaiah isaiah would also prophesy about the birth of christ in isaiah 7 and 4 that they would call him emmanuel and in matthew chapter 1 verse 23 the bible tells us that emmanuel means god with us meaning he came himself god with you in your mess god with you in your mess and mistakes and sins and shortcomings god with you in your trials and your tribulations he didn't leave you hopeless he didn't leave you helpless but he came himself to be with you as you're walking through the valley of the shadow of death i will fear no evil for thou art with me [Applause] isaiah would also describe the messiah to come in isaiah 11 1 and 10 and also recorded in revelations 22 16 as both a branch out of jesse was the father of david and as the root of jesse today we understand that the root comes before the branch and the normal process of growth so how is it possible for him to be both the branch out of jesse and the root of jesse it is then that you understand that according to the flesh he was a descendant he was a branch of jesse and david he was born in the lineage when he came to earth but according to the spirit he was their creator and source of life he was their root i don't know about you but it makes me happy it makes me joyful to know that he did not send jehovah jr that he did not send someone else but he cared enough about me to come see about me to come visit me himself and because and because we know that god came himself and because we know that jesus is god manifest in the flesh we can call on jesus for whatever we need anybody believe that in the house tonight our bible tells us we read it in our text this evening colossians 2 for in him dwelleth all the fullness of the godhead bodily that means that jesus is the embodiment that all that god is jesus is the father manifest in the flesh the spirit of jesus is the holy ghost it's like the old song says it's all in him it's all in him the fullness of the godhead is all in him you know what that means when you call on jesus you're calling on jehovah jireh my provider when you call on jesus you're calling on jehovah shalom my peace when you call on jesus you're calling on jehovah rafa my healer when you call on jesus you're calling on jehovah niecy my banner when you call on jesus you're calling on el shaddai god almighty because it's all in hell [Applause] i wish right now somebody would call on that name until you feel that peace i call on that name until you feel that healing come on it's all in him you could speak the name of jesus and healing come over your body you could speak the name of jesus and leave with peace you can speak the name of jesus and your body can be healed you can speak the name of jesus and you can be delivered come on come on speak that name come on declare that name over your circumstance declare that name over your trial declare that name over your sickness [Applause] come on come on you feel him resting in the house did somebody call me uh did somebody call the healer did somebody call the waymaker [Applause] brother urshan when i was studying doing putting this message together i was sitting in my office and i got to this point when i started declaring the name of jesus and that in him has everything we need and as i was in my office it's a small little really a closet and as i was writing down those notes i was declaring who he was all of the sudden i felt a sweet presence i settled in that room and tears began to flow down my eyes it was like when i began to declare who he was he all of a sudden stopped and said did somebody call me does somebody need me you want to try it right now he's the way when there seem to be no way he's my help when i'm helpless out [Applause] he's my strength when i'm weary come on you ought to declare who he is you ought to declare what he's done for you [Applause] [Applause] come on i feel somebody getting that breakthrough right now i i feel somebody that's calling on that name and you understand the power that's in that name and you're feeling that presence that can wash every sin away that can heal any disease and sickness [Applause] amen you may be seated matthew matthew 28 19 it proves that it's all in jesus the bible says in matthew 28 19 go ye therefore and teach all nations baptizing them in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy ghost now we must understand the context of this scripture because many take it out of context jesus has already resurrected and he is giving his disciples the great commission to go and baptize but at this point no one is being baptized except unto john's baptism which we know john was the forerunner and spoke of one greater that was coming after him so jesus was taking this time to teach his disciples how to baptize once the promise is poured out which happened in acts chapter 2. once the promise is poured out we begin to see those men that he taught in matthew 28 19 baptize people but every time we see them baptize someone it is in the name of jesus acts chapter 2 peter preached baptism in jesus name and the other 11 disciples the bible says in verse 14 stood with him meaning they were in agreement with him in acts 8 and 12 philip preached in samaria and baptized them in the name of jesus christ in acts 19 paul re-baptizes those in ephesus who were baptized unto john's baptism and verse 5 it says he baptized them in the name of the lord jesus each time we see them baptizing it is in the name of jesus so those who baptize the father son and the spirit must say that they are wrong or that the disciples of the lord jesus christ are wrong and in complete rebellion to what the lord taught them we know that the disciples had revelation of what jesus was actually teaching them in matthew 28 19. they knew that the father was jesus manifest in the flesh they knew that jesus was the name of the son they knew that the holy ghost was the spirit of jesus they understood clearly that it is all in him i'm so glad that i have the revelation of the mighty god in christ we must not be ashamed of the gospel of jesus christ for it is the power of god unto salvation i need some unashamed jesus people to lift up their voice and shout [Applause] the disciples the disciples were standing in agreement with paul paul would write in second corinthians to the church at corinth in chapter 1 and verse 20 he would say for all the promises of god are in him yea and in him amen unto the glory of god by us meaning that jesus is every promise come to completion the promise of salvation came to completion in jesus that is why peter said in acts 4 and 12 neither is there salvation in any other for there is none other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved that's why we baptize in jesus name because there's only one god and he came himself and his name is jesus [Applause] and when you get the revelation of jesus when you get the revelation of jesus you don't shout like you used to shout you read the story of bartimaeus the bible says that bartimaeus was blind he sat by the highway side begging of alms being blind we know that he relied only upon what he could hear and the bible says that jesus was coming through jericho and he was now exiting and he would have passed them by and there was a great number of people that were crying out and the bible tells us that bartimaeus heard them and they were crying out jesus of nazareth but bartimaeus he began to cry out but bartimaeus didn't cry out what everybody else cried out the bible says when bartimaeus cried out he cried out thou son of david have mercy on me bartimaeus had revelation all those other people they knew where jesus was from he was from nazareth but bartimaeus knew who he was he came through the lineage of david he was the messiah that had all power in heaven and earth and bartimaeus understood if i can just shout loud enough he might stop if i could just shout loud enough i can get my answer i want to tell you be careful about the people to tell you keep quiet be careful about the people that tell you stop praising god they don't have the revelation but when you have the revelation there is everything i need i'll shout i'll dance i'll lift up i'll do whatever i've got to do because i know who we are oh come on you ought to do it right now uh you want to praise with revelation you ought to worship with revelation [Applause] come on come on come on come on don't let those that don't have a revelation stop you but if you know who he is and you know what he can do for you you ought to lift up some prey [Applause] come on come on [Applause] i feel the miracle working power in the house because jesus is here i feel peace in the house because jesus is here i feel breakthrough power in the house because jesus is at that name every knee has got to bow come on your depression has to bow at the name of jesus your sickness has to bow at the name of jesus that torment has to bow at the name of jesus [Applause] i've just come to remind somebody tonight that he came himself he loved you and i enough not to send another but to come himself the story of john the baptist it's so touching because it shows what jesus will do for a person that's struggling john the baptist had revelation as just a fetus in his mother's womb that's hard to believe until you read the bible where it says that he was also filled with the holy ghost from his mother's womb he had revelation and this is why i believe that mary and elizabeth they came to meet each other and as they got close in proximity the bible says that john in the womb of elizabeth left as mary got closer it's because i believe he knew that the messiah was close by hey but life would happen and it happens to you and i and the next time we see john he's sitting in a prison and he's struggling he's sitting in prison and he's doubting who jesus is the bible says that he calls some messengers over and he says i want you to go ask jesus something i want you to go ask him is this he that should come is this the one or do i need to look for another and the bible says that jesus don't even answer those disciples of john but he just he takes them with him and the bible says that he begins to perform miracles do great and mighty works and this is what jesus said in luke 7 22 then jesus answering them said unto them go your way and tell john what things he have seen and heard he said i want you to tell him that the blind see the lame walker the lepers are cleansed the death here the dead are raised and the poor have the gospel preached unto them here's what's so amazing here's what's so amazing jesus was reminding john who he is because the prophet isaiah would prophesy and he would say in isaiah 35 4 6 say unto them that i have a fearful heart be strong fear not behold your god will come with vengeance even god with a recompense he will come and save you listen then the eyes of the blind shall be open the ears of the death shall be unstopped then the lame shall leap as a heart and the tongue of the dumb shall sing isaiah was prophesying about what god would do when he came to earth and jesus's response to john was exactly what isaiah prophesied he said go tell john that the blind they see that the lame they're healed that the death they hear what jesus was telling john was you don't have to look for another i've truly cut myself out [Applause] god is speaking in this house to every situation in need and he's saying you don't have to look for another you don't have to look for another cure you don't have to look for another salvation he's truly come himself [Applause] oh come on i'm trying to get your faith to rise in the house you don't need another plan you need jesus you don't need medication you need chains [Applause] i'm done say standing musicians come here's what i'm trying to tell you tonight here's what i'm trying to tell you tonight jesus came himself and he is superior over every situation in your life [Applause] jesus had to teach his disciples about a superiority before they had received revelation he had to teach them about how powerful he was demonstrate who he was so that revelation would come to them matthew chapter 14 jesus sends his disciples on boat to the other side and jesus goes up into the mountain and the bible says that as those disciples were in that boat and they were going to the other side the bible says that the storm began to rage the winds begin to blow the waves begin to crash the bible says that those disciples were afraid and then jesus comes and he's walking on the water and we know how the story goes they see him be not be not afraid as i peter says if it's you let me come unto you peter gets out of the boat it starts walking but all of the sudden the winds and the waves they begin to overtake peter and peter he begins to sink and it is here that they receive the revelation of who jesus is peter gets on the boat jesus gets on the boat everything's calm everything's come and if you can't put this verse up there for me matthew chapter 14 verse 33 the bible says then they that were in the ship came and worshiped him saying of truth thou art the son of god [Music] revelation came to them in this moment here's why i believe that revelation came to them in this moment you go read it in the gospel of mark and it says that the disciples considered not the miracles of the loaves they had seen other miracles but they hadn't really thought about it considered it but the reason i believe this moment was moment of revelation for them was because this was the first time that they had seen him superior to every situation they were going through it was the water that was knocking the boat right and left it was the water that was swallowing peter but when they seen jesus the water was under his feet he came walking god with power he came walking superior over every situation bigger than any circumstance [Music] [Applause] put that verse up there for me again matthew 14 33 what does it say they did when they got revelation of who he was it says they worshiped him because when you have revelation of who he is you can't help but praise him you can't help but worship him because you know no matter what i go through i win i win i win i want somebody to come to this front and i want you to worship with revelation that i win i win come on come on come on shout that name worship that name praise that name come on you ought to join up with somebody you want to dance together because we're victorious [Music] you can get your breakthrough before you leave in the name of jesus christ you can get your healing up before you leave in the name of jesus [Music] i want you to worship with revelation uh i know who he is and we win we win when building without being baptized in jesus name but somebody needs to understand mountains [Music] we're seeing in mountains move chains are loosed and we break through right now in durham north carolina there's young men pulling guns out and they're shooting up people's houses shooting up people's cars in drive-bys on drugs in pornography those are mountains and people don't know how to move them i'm going to tell you how to move them what you're seeing right here right now this is how you move them you get those young men you get those young ladies you get them calling on the name of jesus you get a call in on the name of jesus speak that name of jesus you come off the drugs you come out of the promiscuity you come out of the gutter you come out of the crack house [Music] moments why don't you just lift your voice to heaven ask god to move into your circumstances say god i don't know everything but i know that you can work i know that if i speak your name if i begin to the cure [Music] for existential nothingness there's a world that's trying to fill the vacuum in them with pornography and alcohol parties marijuana you name it they're doing whatever they can to numb that ache in their heart and none of those things work they're they're temporary fixes that pick you up and drop you and the crash coming down is worse every time there is no one night stand that can compete with the presence of god you were made for the presence of god i was made for the presence of god we were made for fellowship with him and this [Music] this is the rest where with you may cause the weary to rest praise god the holy ghost is for you sir the holy ghost is for you ma'am it's a promise [Music] [Applause] thank you brother parks for preaching to us thank you for delivering the word of god to us [Music] god came himself he robed himself in flesh and he walked among men that we might have access to this joy right here and this isn't crazy folks this is how church is supposed to be i'll take it one step further church doesn't work unless it's like this [Music] [Applause] you're supposed to cry out you're supposed to pour your heart out you're not supposed to do it at a club or at a bar you're supposed to do it in the house of god [Applause] you jesus take the good spirit of the lord with you as you go if you want to know more about this holy ghost this worship
