picking up a character in grabble fantasy reink can feel a bit overwhelming in some cases yes most of them are actually quite simple but when you get down into the details and start looking at combo optimizations and how to get the most out of each character you'll see that a lot of them that seemingly would be very easy to play are actually a lot harder to execute optimally and so in today's video I will be ranking every single character in ramble fantasy reink from the easiest to the hardest to play I will be taking taking into account how easy they are to pick up and use but also how difficult they can be to master I will be ranking them in four different tiers easy medium hard and very hard and hopefully people don't get too upset about these placements with that being said hello everyone my name is dark hero and let's get started and the first character that we're going to be starting off with is going to be vain a character that is all about performing combo finishers to fill up his Beatdown gauge to deal more damage and a character that is able to sustain himself very easily as not only is he able to block attacks whenever he performs triangle attacks he's also able to heal off of those combo finishers and a lot of his skills provide him with some sustain and of course what vain is most known for he can put down a dome that is able to cover everyone and make the fights a whole lot easier as people can avoid mechanics this way frankly there isn't a lot to optimize with vain it mostly comes down to getting the right combos to get as many combo finishers as possible and from what I have tested it's actually best to go with just just a couple of light attacks into the combo finishers because you'll be hitting multiple times and thanks to his unique sigils you'll get his cool Downs back a lot faster and he also gains a passive damage reduction so he is just an easy mode character that will never fail you with not a lot to optimize and so I will be ranking vain as an easy tier character now the next character on the list is going to be Zetta as a character she's all about going up into the air doing her combo three times to then unleash the combo finisher to the as much much damage as possible and basically that is her entire game plan she of course also has to maintain the Arvest forari debuff on the enemy to try to deal as much damage as possible but thankfully she has a ranged projectile that can have up to three different stacks and each of them will apply the same debuff so she is able to consistently very easily apply it and while yes while you are in the air doing the aerial Loops you do need to watch out for the right timing to perform the combos it's actually a lot easier with Zeta compared to Gand the go or SE fre in my opinion Especially since one of her sigils actually does give her a bigger window for you to land those perfect timings and by doing this and being in the air you'll naturally be able to avoid a lot of BS the game throws at you and thankfully you are able to Dodge in the air so it's not that dangerous although you are lacking the ability to block while you are in the air on top of that you also have a paralysis which is going to make things a little bit easier for the entire party and again her basic play style is very straightforward and and there is nothing else to optimize with this character it's all about going up into the air and Performing those combo finishers whenever they are ready to deal as much damage as possible and so despite knowing that many people struggle with the perfect timing for some of these characters I'm still going to be ranking Zeta as an easy tier character now the next character is going to be charlot now charlot comes across as a very easy to pickup a use character not only does she have an invincibility skill she's also got the ability to apply a 50 50% damage cut to herself and the rest of the party and her entire gameplay concept is all about rushing the enemy making sure that she enters Noble stance and try to deal as much damage as possible however when you actually try to optimize charlot you notice that there are a lot of combo cancels that you need to do with her and very specific interactions that you can do to get just a little bit more damage with her like for example a lot of times to get the most damage output with charlot with her power strikes you'll want to actually keep on doing the these aerial cancels because you'll be maintaining Noble stance and you'll actually get more damage this way when I played charot in the demo she really felt like the best beginner character and in fact I would still go as far to say that she is the perfect character for anyone starting the game but again she has a lot more depth than people don't tend to see and being able to master charlot takes a lot more skill than most people seem to acknowledge and so I think that she ends up being a little bit underappreciated so you can think of this as charlot having a very low skill floor but also a very high skill ceiling and so I'm actually going to be ranking charlot as a medium tier difficulty character now the next character on the list is going to be Lancelot he is all about getting up close to the boss and relentlessly attacking him using his rapid strikes to deal as much damage as possible while at the same time utilizing his twin blade Den to not only Gap close but also to dodge any sort of incoming attacks as it provides lelot with invincibility frames on top of that lelot counts with turbulence which is a fantastic skill because not only can it be used to dodge out of attacks it also does a ton of damage and applies a ton of stun damage as well so it's just a very solid move and when you couple that with his ability to have Mirror Image he is just a very straightup character that deals a lot of damage and has a lot of safety tools and when you combine this with sigils like nimble Onslaught which will further extend your invincibility period while giving you several bonuses you just end up with a very safe character that is also very easy to control and certainly does not lack any damage and so I will be ranking glan salot as an easy character to learn now the next character on the list is going to be SE freed as a character SE freed is all about perfectly timing his attacks chain them together in a devastating combo all the while mixing it with a few lunges to Gap close onto the enemies and non-stop attack them thanks to his ability to gain powerful Buffs such as increasing his defense and attack as well as gaining Stout Heart by Landing these perfectly timed attacks he's able to act kind of like a Berserker character and when coupled with salvator and Mirage two very powerful utility skills that will grant a 70% defense bonus as well as debuff immunity and Rin to be able to recover HP SE freed is able to become a Powerhouse that also offers Aid to his team and so whenever you have this character on your party odds of you dying are going to decrease by a lot so ultimately when it comes to difficulty with SE freed it all comes down to execution of the perfectly timed attacks unlike Zeta SE fre doesn't get a Sigil that allows him to get a bigger window to nail those timings down and so sometimes you may find yourself failing those combos especially when the game's camera sort of gets in the way and you're not able to see too well and if you're someone that doesn't rely on the controller vibration to get the timings you may run into that issue sometimes but at his score SEC freed is a very simple and honest character and so for that reason I'm going to be ranking SEC freed as a medium difficulty character character in this game now the next character on the list is going to be Catalina her entire character concept is all about filling up the Aries gauge to be able to summon Aries to unleash more powerful and devastating Combos and also Empower her skills that being said Catalina has plenty of different routes on how to fill the Aries gauge and so being able to optimize how to best fill it as quickly as possible and also how to extend the Aries gauge once you actually enter into that state to perform more combos use as many skills as possible and to try to be as effective as you can with Catalina it actually takes a lot more skill than I initially thought she is a burst character by Nature since her damage is very much tied to the Aries gauge and her being able to fill it as quickly as possible and so if you're someone that doesn't do our combos properly you're going to find yourself lacking in damage but also all of your defensive tools that Catalina has are not going to be as effective because you won't have your Aries gauge up as often you might not be able to offer that party-wide invincibility or Stout heart to the team when they need it and the character can end up feeling somewhat handicapped of course this issue can be felt with other characters but I feel like it is more pronounced with Catalina compared to most which is why I will be ranking Catalina as a hard character to learn in gramble fantasy reeling now the next character on the list is going to be rakam one of the few ranged characters in this game that can deal pretty consistent damage from a distance but as I and many others have shown in the past his optimal damage is actually going to come from the aerial play style now this jumping shotgun play style requires being very up close to a monster and making sure that you time your jumps perfectly and while yes the damage output that you can get out of this thing is crazy and it is relatively easy to do it normally against large monsters since you'll be able to hit them very well it's just a very risky practice and I just don't know how practical this is going to be especially with us getting harder content in the future future now for this basic play style where you just try to fire off as many Bullseye blasts as you can use your skills to fill up your heat gauge even more and time your shots to make sure that you deal as much damage as possible all of that is actually quite easy because as rackam you'll be playing from range and you don't actually need to aim the character is very mobile especially when you're firing your gun since you can strafe and move while you are doing so and again outside of the shotgun play style there is not a lot to optimize with rackam there's nothing too complicated about it you just got to make sure that you dodge out of the way of collateral damage and honestly you'll just have a good time with rakum and so I'm going to be placing him as an easy tier character the next character is going to be the lord of the royal Knights peral at his base peral is a very simple character much like SE freed that is all about doing skills to make sure that he is able to channel his charged attack much faster when it comes to execution and game plan he is also one of the simplest characters in the game where the idea is that you want to remain as high HP as possible to be able to gain the benefit from his buff that also grants him supplementary damage that coupled with the flame wheel will allow him to deal millions of damage very easily now there are a couple of tricks that you can pull off with peral being able to cancel one of your skills by dodging and still retaining the charge to be able to use your schlot much more often and there's also a special Tech that you can pull off with the flame wheel where basically by you staying in place the game will somehow remove the damage C from that skill and because you will be dealing more damage I know it sounds dumb and it is a bug but even executing these bugs is very very simple and so you end up with a Powerhouse of a character whose only real trick that may take some skill to use is being able to Parry attacks with his own charged attack but other than that he is a very easy character to use and that is how I'm going to be ranking him in this video up next we have Naya a character that is capable of swapping between her two different stances to change uper Combos and by executing these combos well and swapping between stenes at the right moment you'll be able to generate more butterflies which will be able to boost the power and the effect of all of your skills nara's gameplay may seem a bit difficult to get used to at first especially due to her ping stance having a long charged attack that is also a parry and with you having to nail the timing of swapping between the two different stenes and also not having a proper indicator in the game of how many butterflies you have available at any moment she might might be a bit tricky to pick up and use at the same time however one thing that I learned thanks to one of my viewers is that you don't actually need to pay any attention to the perfect timing when swapping between stances you can keep on mashing the triangle or Y button and the game will do it for you and so that part of the problem ends up being solved on its own admittedly there is a lot of skill involved with knowing when to charge your charged attack to be able to perform a par with it it's certainly not as simple as some other characters especially since you won't be able to charge up that charged attack at a rapid Pace at all times that being said the skills that she has available to use are all very simple to execute and since she gains the ability to receive Stout heart while also gaining supplementary damage which effectively means that all of her attacks are going to become a lot stronger with satsuna and transient both hitting for 4 million damage and if need be she also has the ability to heal herself and receive a defense buff I think ultimately I will be ranking Naya as a medium difficulty character because there is quite a lot to take in with this character but at the same time it's also quite easy for you to execute her kit very well except for a couple of difficult things next up on the list we have oan a ranged character that can also fight up clothes that has two completely different play styles with you being able to use your sniper mode to aim at enemies and fire powerful charge shots or being able to throw grenades that will deal tons of damage being a ranged character oan counts with the advantage of being able to hit from a distance which will make it easier for him to avoid a lot of incoming damage that being said it should be noted that a lot of his attacks have a high commitment and getting out of sniper mode can put you in a bit of a tricky situation and so you do need to be ready to use your Dodge or preferably your block to get out of a sticky situation but ultimately the basic implay loop with this character is going to be easier than many others now of course if you have problems aiming with this character it might be more difficult for you but but with most of the bosses taking up a big portion of the screen and with the game's aim assist it should be not much of an issue additionally as it turns out oan actually deals more damage by simply spamming his grenades although you can't 100% rely on that play style as you will be restricted by the size of the Arena so it's not always going to work out that way as for his skills he does have a lot of utility that he can bring to the team being able to not only use paralysis wherever the enemy is since you can aim this and of course paralysis being the best crowd control in the entire game the ability to poison while at the same time lowering the enemy's defense on top of the ability to heal and gain Stout heart or being able to use surack this very powerful beam that can Pierce through enemies and hit them multiple times the damage output that you can get off this character with a very simple execution is tremendous and again because he is a ranged character you're going to find yourself in danger a lot less often and again there's not a low to master with oan and so I will be rank him as an easy character in gramble fantasy reing next on the list we have vaseraga one of the slowest but most powerful characters in the entire game capable of dishing out millions of damage with a single hit vag's gameplay is kind of similar to personal in a way you want to use your skills as shortcut to be able to Unleash Your powerful charged attack which is your most powerful tool that being said there is a play style for vaseraga where you actually give up on all of your skills and go with less is more and you just do combo canels to be able to do your powerful charged attacks much faster of course that play style is going to be more difficult as you won't have access to all of vaseraga powerful skills with Immortal pain being of course the most relevant one as it will grant vaseraga not only debuff immunity but it will also make sure that he just does not die it's a fantastic buff but you do need to be careful to not run out of your Stout heart which you do gain Stout heart naturally through your gameplay by using your triangle or by attacks and you're also able to gain extra attack and defense by filling up your gauge he's got some additional utility with Nether wart being able to take damage in place of your allies and if you combine that with Immortal pain you can make sure that everybody skips mechanics and nobody takes damage you've got umbrella eclips to be able to slow enemies down and provide some party-wide utility and you've also got violent Shadows to be able to heal yourself with this bull of damage as well as forgotten tals to gain enmity making the enemies more likely to attack you and gaining drain to be able to recover even more HP so ultimately you can play vaseraga as a tank character that just non-stop attacks but because he is so slow it can actually be difficult for you to pick up and learn him that being said once you do reach the end game and you start to add his own sigil which gives him cool down reduction you add the sigil quick cool down and Cascade on top and if you've seen my last build video on him you know that you can make sure that your Immortal pain has effectively zero cooldown so you become unable to die throughout the entirety of a quest and if that doesn't sound crazy I don't know what does and his execution is also very simple once again very similar to peral and so while I will grant that vaseraga isn't the easiest character at the start of the game where you don't have a lot of stuff he becomes one of the easiest once you have access to some powerful sigils and start to max out his masteries and so I will be ranking vaseraga as an easy character in gramble fantasy reing next on the list is going to be kostro now as a character cagliostro can either play as a support that can not only provide the best buff in the game through fantasmagoria that will boost critical hitro attack and defense and will stack with any other buff in the game or being able to heal an ally or even revive them with a single click of a button makes her a very potent support character and she can also complement that with being able to remove a buff from the enemy or being able to lower their attack by 20% that being said if you're trying to optimize cago she's actually a lot trickier than you might first expect now of course she can use Alexandria and mimik doll to be able to charge up or charge the attacks faster so she can use collaps more often to deal more damage to the opponents and also inflict them with defense down thanks to her own unique sigle but as it turns out to get the most damage output out of kagi Ostro you need to mix that ability to use a couple of your skills to charge collapse faster with her combo finishers that you can and should cancel every single step of the way to maximize her damage out output and doing this consistently actually takes a lot of skill and as a character KAG Ostro also doesn't have any defensive options with her only real way to deal with attacks being using mimik doll to get out of danger but of course if you use mimic doll you will then get out of range which means that you need to either use Pain Train or walk up to the enemies to be able to use your combo finishers so maintaining a good up time while dealing consistent damage with cagliostro is going to be difficult maybe I'm going a bit too far here here but I have seen great KAG Ostro players executing her very well and I'm nowhere near as good after all of this play time I find it hard to execute her combo cancels consistently and again her game plan does have a lot of variance so ultimately I will be ranking cagliostro as a hard character in gramble fantasy reink now the next character on the list is going to be faery fery can attack from a pretty far range thanks to her Whip and being able to summon her pets that will constantly deal damage and track the enemies allows her to have a very good up time on damage and being able to lower the enemy's attack and defense thanks to her own unique sigil is certainly going to make things easier for you now there are a couple of ways that you can go with fery as I showcased in my build video you could play her normally or you could go with the aerial fairy jumping play style instead which will actually be giving you more damage with the drawback that of course it is easier for you to get hit and so there is a little bit of a risk reward situation there that being said if when not taking into account that play style fair is the character that to get the most damage possible still needs to get up close to be able to use their onslot that can hit enemies multiple times in a cone and she's also got skills like umof as well as hin Ron to make sure that she can deal as much damage as possible while staying up close and also having some survivability as she gains invincibility and stout heart as well summoning her pets also isn't much of an issue since she has access to a couple of skills that will immediately put all three pets on the battlefield with strafe and perge Spirits especially the latter one being very powerful that you can also use to stun enemies that being said fery also has a lot of combo cancels that you can do you can cancel most of our skills to get the most damage output and when not performing the jumping play style getting those timings down for all of those consoles is the trick to being a good fairy player and because she has access to this little Resource Management that not all characters need to take into account I feel like she may not be the easiest character for someone to pick up a use and get the most out of her despite again she having plenty of range with her basic attacks at least there is quite a lot to master with fery despite her being a pretty decent beginner character so it is similar in that way to charlot although I would say that the skill floor is a little bit higher but the skill ceiling is also a little bit lower and so I will be ranking Ferry as a medium difficulty character the next character on the list is going to be Rosetta as a character she is all about using her plant placing them in the right spot to be within the enemy's range to be able to deal as much damage as possible while at the same time leveling up those plants to be able to provide Buffs to the party as Rosetta can increase their attack and defense and also provide regen passively by quite simply leveling up those plants plant management is a very important thing with Rosetta as you really want to make sure that you don't blow them up too soon or you don't use your skill to relocate them before the boss moves away or goes into bloodthirst and so her own unique mechanic is a resource management game that I believe is a little bit harder compared to most characters in the game and it can have a much greater difference in her damage output to not sleep on this character's damage even though Rosetta's output in the 60c damage test may not be the greatest she has a special interaction between Iron Maiden and spiral Rose where she is able to dish out tons of damage especially against enemies that you can hit multiple times and that interaction will actually boost the damage of on hit effects so if you have someone like oan thr Gren grenades he'll be able to deal a lot more damage and if you have a VIN or a vaseraga on your party you'll be able to greatly reduce their cooldowns provided that they use their own unique sigils Rosetta is a character with tons of potential that is very hard to master and because she has such a different play style there's really nothing like it in the game she is also quite difficult to pick up and use and managing all of those plans really takes some time to get used to and so I will be ranking Rosetta as a hard tolearn character in this game now the next character on the list is going to be Gand goza much like with vaseraga Gand goza is an extremely slow character that can unleash devastating damage through his charged attack by perfectly timing his basic attacks he is able to gain his meter called Eternal rage and whenever the Eternal rage meter is filled up his charged attacks will be able to deal tons of damage so the gameplay Loop for Gand goza is actually quite simple you want to use his skills to max out your Eternal rage to then be able to use your powerful charge the attacks however a problem that I find myself with Gand goza is that for one he doesn't have a lot of access to be able to max out his eternal rage he has a couple of skills that will be able to give him just a little bit one of them being a berry and the other one being a 25% attack boost to himself and the entire party and finally he has a skill that is also called Eternal rage that will instasly max out his meter that being said I feel like this isn't enough I wish more of vag's skills would be able to give him even more of his meter and he does get access to Stout heart and Gem through the use of lion stance but he doesn't have a reliable way to lower a HP nor does g go have a way to ensure that he can stay alive at 1 HP to make the most out of gemed which more likely than not you're not going to be using too well because of damage cap additionally his damage output is nothing too special because damage cap is so low he is not able to deal let's say 20 million damage with a single hit and so because it is so difficult for him to build up Eternal rage his DPS ends up being way lower compared to the rest of the cast and when you compare it to faga it's a night and day difference and because you need to nail those perfect timings with your basic attacks which also don't deal a lot of damage to be able to max out his eternal rage there's also some skill expression there that makes him a little bit more difficult to use and again his skills don't have a lot of utility he does gain Stout hearts and he can also heal himself and cleanse any debuffs so he is able to sustain himself decently enough but as it is currently you basically just end up with a character that is worse than vaseraga that is also harder to play than him and doesn't even have the Gap closing potential that vaseraga has and so ultimately despite being a very simple character because it has so many things going against him and again there is the perfect timing that you need to take into account I will be ranking Gand goza as a medium difficulty character now the next character on the list is going to be IO who I have been mispronouncing this entire time he's identity as a character is BAS basically the same as a black mage she wants to be able to stay in place and be able to charge up her star gaze use concentration to be able to charge up the stargaze faster and use Mystic Vortex to make her stargaze even more powerful and then she just wants to unleash hell upon the enemies as she deals tons of damage each time she attacks that being said her resource management of the stargaze making sure that you're gaining the Mystic Vortex orbs and that you able to get the highest level possible of targat available whenever you can to get the most damage output out of her is a little bit intensive and does require some work and understanding additionally again she just wants to stay in the same place and not move at all so understanding the fights too well knowing when it is a good time to put down the concentration and to charge up those star gazes is very very important and on top of that there is a lot of tech to be able to max out eo's damage output that also takes quite some time to understand and thankfully this is the character that I have seen the most advanced guides for for because she has so many Tech available to her and yes she is a ranged character so she does have ranged Advantage but there is a lot to learn and to master with this character and ultimately I do believe that IO might just be the hardest character in gr blue fantasy reing and so I will be ranking her as a very hard character to learn in this game now the next character is going to be the captain Gran or jeta we all understand how the basic gameplay Loop is it's all about doing combo finishers to be able to raise your Arts level and making sure that you stay at a high level at all times to be able to deal more damage with your skills or make them more efficient now the character's Combos and getting the most damage out of them isn't the simplest thing in the world but it's also not too complicated and with you being able to act as a tank with failen and substitute or as a support with revive Veil Panacea and Clarity or as a debuffer with stall armor break miserable mist and Rain of arrows or if you just want to go all out on damage with this character understand how to use and when to use these skills and with each art level does take some understanding so that you can get the most out of them and maintaining your Arts level high for a long period of time actually takes a lot more skill than you might expect so ultimately and ironically enough I will be ranking the captain as a medium difficulty character in this game now the next character is going to be Yara a character that is all about using flashy Combos and following them up with combo finishers that will provide you with invincibility and chaining them together to be able to attain that invincibility much faster Yara does actually have a lot going on for him as he does come with a Parry that gives him supplementary damage and so there is some skill involved in being able to maintain that up for as long as possible there is also some tech you can do with yod Dara where after you perform a Parry you dodge into an attack to extend your invincibility frames that you would receive from the Parry so mastering that attack is going to be key to being a good Yara player and getting the most out of him as supplementary damage is a very good source of extra damage output that being said all of his skills are very simple to use with empty Mist being just a skill that you unleash whenever you have a good downtime and flashing void being a skill that deals a ton of damage output and also granting you invincibility and also the ability to gain mirror image and even share that mirror image with the entire party provides Yara with a ton of defensive options that allow him to maintain damage up time without having to worry about anything there is some Resource Management with his marks although his sigil is going to make it a little bit easier giving you a 75% chance to not lose any of them but despite yod Dara having access to so much invulnerability mastering the character to know when to use each combo to be able to use the invincibility at the right time maintaining the uptime on the supplementary damage from the Perry and knowing when to delay a combo just to be able to have invincibility for the next attack does actually take a lot of skill and so I will be ranking Yara as a medium difficulty character in ramble fantasy reing and now the final character of the list is of course going to be ID now there is actually a ton to learn with I but it's way simpler to use them than you might expect being able to use his combo finishers to go into Dragon form as fast as possible and then unloading all of the dragon skills to then go into combo finishers and enter God Mite where you truly deal as much damage as possible is the basic gameplay Loop of it his skills are also quite simple to use with the only one that is a little bit more situational being Ragnarok form that you want to save for whenever you enter godm might and you're doing your big powerful finisher as it allows you to refill your godm might meter to be able to do a second finisher now the problem with it however is that you have to be very careful about when to press your triangle attack or your y button because that is when you start doing the combo finishers and if you are in God Mite you might accidentally use it at the wrong time the boss goes into overdrive or bloodthirst and pushes you away and becomes invulnerable and so you end up missing out on a l out of damage one very cool thing you can do with it is use one of her skills and before the skill actually comes off you cancel it by dodging and use your triangle attack and it will count as if you had done that skill but you won't waste the cooldown and you can perform the more powerful combo finisher using that to go into Dragon form a lot quicker is going to make sure that you deal the most damage possible and speaking of which his damage output is very much conditioned on the time that his transformation takes which can also lead to some problems as if you transform while a link attack is triggered by the time the transformation ends you won't have enough time to be able to press the button to go into the link attack so that will be wasted and the same thing goes for the SBI so you do need to be careful about how you manage those resources and knowing when to cancel your triangle attacks to not run into those bad situations that being said it does have access to especially with his signature sigil a lot of sustainability in both his dragon and his God might form as he gains Stout heart and thanks to the sigil he also gains drain and he's also got the advantage of whenever you are in Dragon form and the monster is far away from you or he flying around whatever the case may be you can simply use your triangle attacks to hit them with a barrage of long range distance attacks and so you can have a pretty decent up time on damage whereas many other characters would have a hard time doing so it is one of those characters that the more time you spend with him the more you start to understand that there are many things going against them there is a lot of PS that the game throws at you that you need to take into account when playing this character I would almost put him in a similar situation to IO or rosetta in that case and so ultimately I will be ranking it as a hard character in gramble fantasy realing and this is how I would rank every character from easy to hard in gramble fantasy realing having put over 300 hours into this game since release and having played each of them for quite some time of course I still have yet to make some guides on some of them they will be coming soon and so if you look forward to that please subscribe to the channel and click that glowing like button thank you so much for the support my name is dark hero and as always happy Hunting
