I really enjoyed that, very interesting story behind the weapon and its impact on manufacturing.
It seems like a bit of a work of genius honestly, a lot of impressive ideas went in to play here I think.
One thing that caught my eye was the side-vents for the small amount of gas leakage. I wonder if those are part of the original design, showing he knew it would be a concern or added later. As Ian mentions, it would be easy to not notice or be concerned with the leakage, putting vents in place would be impressively prescient on Hall's part.
I hope we see some more of these. I could listen to an hour or two just on this rifle probably.
edit: I read that some people would remove the breech and use it as a pistol, which sounds unwise but interesting. I wonder if that's true.
This gun is cool
Given the fact the chamber is loaded from the front, isn't that not a lack of obturation, but a cylinder gap? By that logic, you could technically call this whole thing a single shot turret revolver.
