The opportunities for imminent death doing this are pretty much everywhere. Everywhere.
If you think this is good check out the documentary TT: Closer to the Edge. Its one of my favorite documentaries and I'm not even a big moto fan.
Here's the full movie on YouTube https://youtu.be/ZKxhARxZKP8
This gave me an adrenaline rush and Iโm watching it on my phone on the toilet
Guy Martin is insane. top bloke too.
Dr John Hinds did a 45 minute conference I guess you'd call it on the complications of treating someone as a first responder at an event like this. They actually have paramedics on motorcycles to get to the casualty ASAP. Dr John Hinds died while responding to an accident in 2015 (not at the IOMTT). I have no medical qualifications but still found the full 45 minute video super interesting and informative.
Guy and the rest of the lads are proper stand up fellas. They aren't playing around. They respect each other and the roads they race on.
The most dangerous sporting event on the planet. Not even kidding.
I've been 150mph on a motorcycle, at night across the Mojave Desert (yes, on the freeway many years ago) cranking Satriani's "Surfing With The Alien" on headphones inside the helmet.
Major rush.
If youโre on your phone. Put it in landscape mode and pretend youโre taking the turns.
I've gone pretty fast before (in a car, mind you), and after about a minute of of pushing it to the limit your adrenaline becomes almost intolerable. For these guys to keep this up for 20 minutes is mind-boggling. Nerves of steel.
