all right let's make some glass uh we're going to be adding some glass on those windows we're going to cut those out and we're going to extract some textures from uh from the game so we can actually use it in G in uh for what we do first get this name and search for its own on the RPF Explorer right click extract export XML export it somewhere in your hard drive where you know you're going to be accessing it double click materials save all textures save it in the same folder I think that's all there is uh yeah that's it three textures that's that's that's all we need right here so this is going to be the diffuse this is going to be spec and this is going to be the bump let's rename them because it's a bit confusing so this is spec no this is the diffuse next one is going to be bump and the dirty look in one is going to be the spec so we now have uh the images we need to create glass you do not need the exml just delete it and and uh those the are the three images that you need then go to your blender I hope you already have sols installed if you if if that's the case actually let's import the building first because we need to place the building in s and then uh remove one of the windows uh I already have the name of it is going to be sc121 uncore [Music] re01 so take that name SE for it on RPF Explorer this is what we want export XML you may want to put in the save folder uh with the other stuff and then double click go to materials save all textures and put it in the folder with the others 35 and do it again 26 all right now in blender import codw Walker XML go to where your stuff is where the uh the building is three remaining okay so on this area make sure you activate the viewport shading and it still looks if it still looks weird go to file external data and find mixing files uh if that's if you you have like a pink or magenta areas in here just select the folder where you selected your stuff where you exported the textures and find missing files and you should see exactly what I'm looking at same thing all right so for this example we're going to be cutting this window out and we're going to be uh we're going to be adding our our own thing so right now you're in object mode enter select D object right here like that or click it in the 3D View and press tab on the keyboard or edit mode then select face in here select mode or press number three on the key keyboard and select uh select that those two triangles in here I'm not going to be replacing every s single one of them I'm just showing you how to create a frame and put glass on this particular window so with those two triangles selected press delete on the keyboard and select pH and now we have a a gap in here from this uh existing geometry we're going to be creating a frame that will be visible from inside not from outside of course you can extend it on the outside if you want but this is about having a little bit of a uh window that's that looks like a window from the inside so position yourself in a way where you can select the is going to be eight triangles two for the top two for the right side two for the bottom and two for the left side you can tell you have selected everything which says here uh it says here faces eight if you do not see that information click on that on this button here this menu and make sure you have the extra statistics and text info on that way you will know exactly how many triangles you select faces uh but that's selected make sure you're in normal modes is it normal no it's it's supposed to be local not even local that's rude so we're going to be doing something else because for you is going to be hard to to follow along so we're going to go edit and Edge mode or number two and select those four edges right here like that okay it still doesn't give me what I want whatever and position yourself in a way where you can see uh how you're going to be extruding so make sure you're in local and press e like elephant and move it outward a little bit let's say 0.05 so you created the Su extra geometry now position yourself in a where where you can see uh where you can tell that it's actually moving on the on the z-axis perfectly something like that now go to face select and select the four faces that you just ex extracted and press p on the keyboard and what is it separate uh select selection on the object go to uh where is it on this you know what it uh go to Center Mass if you have if you don't have my toolbar go to my Discord download it it's a free it's a free toolbar the pi file just install it I don't want to dig to the menus right here and click on with those four faces selected click on uh origin to Center Mass then you should see your your stuff in here let's rename this window frame to make sure that you rename the right file click the eye if it disappears when you selected that means you reame the right file the right geometry and select it and move it upward where it says scene selection so we need actually hold on let me do it again so hold shift click the window window frame uh name hold shift and move it upward where it says s scene collection so we now have we can now hide this whole this whole thing minus the the geometry we're going to be working with so on the SC1 _ 2101 hold shift click the eye and we have the the the frame for the window and expand expand the menu go all the way to the to the modifiers and remove every single one make sure you do not have the Rees selected you have the window frame selected and access this area where you see the wrench and remove every single modifier then expand it again click on the Shader one of the shaders in here go to this area you rece see the material and click on on the minus all the way you remove all the all the materials like so so we now can start a uh texturing our uh frame with whatever texture we want I think we will have to weld those because if I have to re move actually no number three hold on yeah we have to W because as you can see it separates itself so with the window frame selected press a and the 3D view to select all the faces then click on the wrench where it says modifier add modifier and search for weld click on the modifier and where it says distance adds extra two extra zeros so now you have 0.00001 M which is going to be 1 mm make sure you're not in edit mode go to object mode and apply just confirm it so now if you go back to edit mode and select the face if you move it up and down you'll see they well press contrl Z to undo your changes and you should have the face orientation on because that will tell you exactly where where the texture is going to be placed and be visible if it's not on just turn it on so the outside for you it should be red and the inside it should be blue uh you can kind of sit it in here too I don't need to seal that accentuated I know exactly which way the normals are facing on this case um yes let's uh convert it through actually let's model model everything first then create the uh geometry for the glass and the geometry for the frame and then we will convert it to a drawable and spining game we are uh how deep on this one 13 minutes so I'm going to be starting a new video uh see you on the next one
