[Music] for those of you new to these battle reports we play grimdark future which is a simple fast playing fan made rule set inspired by warhammer 40k the rules and army lists are totally free and there's links in the video description below in one corner my freshly ebay rescued and speed painted chaos space marines representing the havoc brothers today got three units of 10 models each missile launchers and plasma rifles and grouped with them is a lord of war for each one the intent there being that it confers the blessing of war bonus to the whole unit plus one to melee attacks also three apcs to get them wherever they need to go on the battlefield more rapid deployment that way out to the objective markers one havoc dragon this is an aircraft first time we've ever used one in our battle reports on the channel so i'm curious to see how that works in play a demon champion upgraded with psychic 3 ready to buff debuff and wreak havoc and i love this model i don't know something about it just a wonderful sculpt then there's this double-sized unit of talon raptors and they're actually taken from the disciples list so they have frenzy two extra attacks each and them also grouped with the lord of war who's been given the right kind of upgrade so that he can also ambush so that unit of 11 models is probably gonna be ambushing lastly two havoc fiends just pause a moment on them lots of implements of destruction get too close they carve you up good so those are the filthy heretics and now let's go and take a look at the golden host here are my custodies models start out with two heavy battle tanks these look different but functionally for the game they're identical i'm just proxying one which also happened to be a 3d print transport 11 so they will be used much like the apc's on the havoc side to get units out to those objective markers quickly and start the scrums over them that need to happen got another 3d printed proxy a walker aka the tower of power mostly just a living rock to camp an objective and keep it claimed unit of three jet bikers which are surprisingly fragile one wound apiece though they do have regeneration and they've been upgraded with fusion missiles and this is a great sister mechanically from the list but i'm representing it with this vexilla model just so it sort of matches aesthetically and each one of those is grouped with a unit of three destroyers so that's four models total in the unit and i have two of those units the intent there is to get the plus one in melee rolls thanks to the great sister or the vexilla model by the way whenever i post pictures people ask about the marble bases i modeled them 3d printed them and then painted them with a tutorial from games workshop i'll put a card on the screen and this unit of five guard grouped with a captain so this is a unit of six models and i'm hoping that with the rending on their swords i match them up smartly against the right enemy unit those are the custodian brothers let's get to the table hey everyone bill here welcome back hopefully this gimbal is working right i got sea bass over and we're gonna play some grim dark future tonight we have for you four thousand how does this thing work we have a four thousand point game between custodian brothers and havoc brothers premiere of my new havoc brothers army they're almost done being painted but this is about half of them sea bass is finishing his deployment right now and basically what we've got is i've got two heavy battle tanks that are both loaded up uh over here i've got my rainbow guard bundled with a captain and then two units of destroyers each bundled with a sister but they're being just represented by these vexilla models he has got these three units of havoc brothers which are all being deployed in apcs and then this unit of talon raptors which is being deployed in ambush so there's not a lot on the board right now but there's gonna be soon and this is gonna be a hard hard-hitting game the mission we're playing is as follows you'll see there's objectives two on each side so if you control the ones that are on your side at the end of a round you get a point for each if you control the one in the middle of the board which is directly in the middle you get two points and if you control either of those the other guys you get three points and that's it no cards not checking at the end of the game or checking at the end of each round okay so that the idea there is to promote unloading and not waiting on ambush and having a dynamic game so we'll see if that works so deployment is done looks like you've got ah you have an aircraft i think that's the first time we've ever used an aircraft on the channel and behind there what you got behind there what's up i have yes the champion and then demon champion psychic three yep okay got an apc which is loaded up another one there another one there and a mauler fiend uh excuse me what is that the havoc theme havoc fiend and one over here and a havoc feed here as well nice and i have very simply two heavy battle tanks a unit of bikers and a heavy walker right here so i think we're ready let's roll off and see who's gonna go first in the first round four and a three i get to choose if i want to go first you know what i don't want to activate first i want you to activate first all right here we go top around one one other clarification the way we're playing the markers tonight is at the end of the round if you're within three inches of a marker's center then you have claimed it for that turn but that doesn't mean anything going forward to get the point next round you still have to be at that marker that's different than written in the core rules i have slid my apc up and i'm going to hit your big boy over there two twin assault rifles two hits saving on twos both save havoc missiles hitting on a three it does one hit that becomes blast three saving on threes because of a farmer piercing okay two of them get through can it regenerate does the aegis hold up one regenerates one wound all right he's down to 17. anything else on him nope that's it all right it's done my turn these three bikes are moving up something less than nine inches and leaving enough room for that heavy battle tank to go through but then firing all three of their fusion weapons at that apc hitting on threes that's two hits ap four no saves deadly six each that's 12 wounds you need to take a dangerous terrain test for each model that's inside first i'm using there ten that first you do ten dice one for each of the ten soldiers then we'll do the six for the lord of war any ones one one okay killed one and uh okay your lord of war is okay and we killed one oh hold on before you remove it you gotta place them so actually that's a good question just occurred to me because all those models aren't identical we really should have rolled not ten dice but you know individually for each model but i'll just let you pick which which of the ten you wanna you know i assume an assault rifle yeah yeah okay go ahead so that's also first blood for me so i get a point i forgot to mention earlier we had agreed whoever kills the first unit gets a victory point and if you manage to kill the other guy's leader you get a victory point in sea bass's case it's that demon back there that i need to slay and in his case it is this captain bundled over here with the rainbow guard that he's got to take out okay he's working on moving six inches that way and it looks like my task is set he's going to wrap up around and eventually go get that marker but he's got time so he's only moving to six inches so that he can still fire presumably upon my bike got eight assault rifles [Music] saving on twos one failure regen it does all right good so far plasma rifle plasma rifle one hit ap two saving on force and it does i'll be doing the a t version for missile launcher and hit number three saving on a five it does not regeneration oh wait that's three wounds right deadly three deadly okay so you have two more dice yep there you go trying to regen oh man two of them do but one does not all three of those went on one of these but one was enough so i'm gonna say this one is dead and i believe you have the lord of war still to shoot one okay seven out of two it does all right one casualty i am not down to half or less so i don't have to take a moral test and that is it for them my turn this heavy battle tank just moved up nine inches and is about to unload its panoply of weapons upon a target rich environment let's take a look at its list real quick that is everything we have to get through folks taste the rainbow that one's for you jay all right i need to think how i'm going to split fire here we're going to put a heavy fusion rifle and hunter missiles into that one actually wait a sec wait a second hmm can you come and take a look do you think that you that that black tank has cover from this gold tank move the walker out of the way no cover it's so close because from from the front corner of my model there's not but like more than half my model is kind of hidden let's just roll on a one through three it goes my way okay it's a five all right so you would get cover do i still want to fire then ah no i don't think so that's gotta be within 24. so let's instead focus on these two units over here fusion rifle and hunter missiles into that everything else into the tank that changes things i didn't realize that this dude had regen i will change my targeting selection and i'm going to put everything into it everything here we go uh first up we have the heavy fusion rifle hitting on a three it does ap four round six deadly six we're halfway there hunter missiles hits ap three five nope deadly three three more wounds to get through [Music] we just said it so regen so that's nine so far do your nine regens let's see where we're at okay so really you've only lost four wounds twin minigun getting on threes can you rejoin them okay you can wow okay storm rifle both hit no armor piercing finally two twin laser cannons i'll roll them all at once wow this is pathetic all right say that's ap4 okay six oh deadly three three regen one does two more wounds so what's he down to he lost six right half okay that's half so let's do a morale check all right pinned i'll take that pinned him halfway down and pin you sir are done still underperformed but it's okay your turn remove that apc up nine inches now we're looking at cover again um let's roll for it on a one through three it goes your way okay so i would get cover if you shoot twin assault rifles sitting on fours because of cover a two and it does flamethrower six dice saving on twos i'll do havoc muscle force nope nope okay back to the custodians this walker hopped up a little bit now he's going to claim this at the end of the round also can see over there uh should be less than 24. he check heavy minigun hitting on three three failures regen more wounds okay so he's down to three and now i have the storm rifle two hits no armor piercing now he was already pinned so he automatically he's still pinned you don't get double pinned all right um back to you three inches from the marker does include vertical and it so happens that it's just about six inches from the tank to there so he's going to unload he's going to get at least one model underneath it and clean it then he's going to start firing upon this thing and he's going to pick which model is going to carefully place his infantry so that the bigger hitters can see it because some of them will be behind this tank so we'll get that set up havoc brothers assault rifle but four is because of cover okay two misses eighteen good good saving on a five it does not that's deadly three regen those got two regens and one wound all right it's down to the 16. and then just the uh the lord no all right they're done they're gonna have that at the end of this turn unless i well no they are because i have nothing else they can get there back to me the only thing i haven't activated is this battle tank here it is too loaded down not to fire so i'm not going to move with the double i have to decide where is it going to move it's nine inches and then what's it going to fire at i moved it nine inches forward and here's my thinking this is the tank that has a single unit in it that's the one that has two units in it i am thinking that this guy plus whatever's in there to unload should be enough to eventually whittle this away so i am going to unload everything into it most of those models over half of the unit i'm sorry half of the unit or more is in that terrain piece so it will be shooting into cover twin minigun hitting on fours because you're in cover one wound one dies storm rifle hitting on force heavy fusion rifle sixes oh my god one of those dudes just took six wounds to the face this gimbal is really slow okay robbed the moment of the drama okay uh hunter missiles misses twin laser cannons two hits ap4 nope two more die killed three of them all of that and i killed three of them he's done back to you run this dragon flew up to here and firing everything down at this tank let's have it force saving on threes oh two won't get through regeneration no regen two more wounds still you because i have no more units left to activate this turn uh i'm just gonna do it i'm gonna unpin him okay we'll activate on pin very good and i have oh this guy over here hiding out yep forget about him while seabass researches his psychic powers and learns what the hell they do let's get some glamour shots here oh yeah oh yeah all this if you're new to the channel all this terrain can be made with tutorials that i've posted in the past so just check my backlog your demon champion flew up here and he's just out of range he's 19 inches away from here so my great sister that's in there cannot use the anti-psychic and if it's okay i'm just going to call it a vexilar for the rest of the game but functionally that's what it is from the list anyway you're going to attempt to cast i'm attempting to cast warp passage on the fiend warp passage on need a six that's a five plus three which is an eight succeed so you can move him six inches right now so that's it for you while you're finishing that up let's take a look i've got one point two points you've got one point uh you don't have that one yet but you've got this one which is worth two so you gained three and i gained two because i had first blood that puts us at a tie three to three let's high three to three we're going to clear the activated tokens and go to the top of round two [Music] my concern is these have one wound a piece they're relatively easy to kill so before that happens i might as well get my money's worth he'll survive an alpha strike from that dude they won't so they're gonna move up something less than nine inches and then they're both gonna fire their plasma fusion things into him all right uh you're a gentleman thank you just outside of charge range all right so they're just beyond charge range here we go we're hitting on threes oh that's two hits ap four each taking on six [Music] no good no good but it's got regen so that's 12 regeneration rolls to make my son 10 damage oh man i'm so glad i did that all right uh quick morale check please yep failed ah yeah pinned pinned the emperor protects and i got my money's worth from them frankly i don't care if they die now all right it's your turn sea bass is being high maintenance again finicky with his models there moving six inches including three inches vertical you get as many as you can with the line of sight of these bikers to presumably shoot them down uh saving on twos oh my god okay regeneration two of them get through so your puny assault rifles kill both the remaining freakin and here is the story over here this guy is going to move well actually wait a sec if i move i'm going to lose this marker i want to keep that marker so i need to make sure and i have that ambush unit yes this well but they can't come into the beginning of the next turn anyway so he's still three inches from the center of that marker now we're gonna split fire this only has two wounds to get through it's pinned but i'd like to just kill it off however this did not go well last turn i want to get that three points i want to get his marker and need to whittle them down to get them ready the two twin legs can laser cannons will go into the unit that's up on the catwalks everything else is going over there let's do the twin laser cannons first hitting on fours because you're in cover okay so they didn't matter all right now let me do them over there first up twin minigun four at ap1 need threes got em all uh storm rifle one hit no armor piercing twos that's a two it's good and then we have the hunter missiles the miss and the heavy fusion rifle that's a hit ap four okay okay deadly six but it goes on to one model so kills one of them that's all of the heavy battle tanks 935 points for that okay well it's your turn [Music] disembarking you won't be able to charge because you're limited to six inches but i can unload six and shoot that unit has been unloaded and they're firing are you doing everything into this tank everything very good what's first assault rifles okay right over here if you would getting on threes got four hits saving on twos no armor piercing wow two failures regeneration one regen one damage we'll take it down to 11. next is pleasant rifle regeneration does not is this the launcher version nope lords uh assault rifles yes one hit ap nothing save all right my turn uh the aircraft has to shoot after his move um i'm waiting for him to get out of the way so i'm biding my time this tank is doing okay so i'm not gonna do anything with it let's just let's kill some time this walker is going to shoot again at that fiend sitting on threes armor piercing one four failures regeneration one regen three wounds done killed him yep yeah three one's on all right good job mr walker well done sir you've earned your beer right so these cowards ran at the double up here not shooting as a result this unit has disembarked and they're charging on the disembark into this thing even though it's pinned we might as well solve the problem now i would like to stack these two behind here however you are required to maximize base contact if possible and it is possible for me here so first we're going to do the vexilla five dice due to furious on the charge hitting on force and now the custodian destroyers with their axes these have poison so i'm looking for natural sixes three natural sixes all of those with no armor piercing okay one gets through regen it does all right oh well awesome right so good point you can punch back uh your pinned so you're hitting on only natural sixes one ep two saved cutters two ap four of course all right those do not save regeneration does not does not so two wounds go on to those those dudes have three wounds a piece stop hitting on sixes no all right you caused more wounds than that so i need to take a morale test and uh the sister has fearless it's a four that's good all right i'm required to move back by one inch now it is your turn this ap just unloaded everything into here forgot to hit record but did a wound got him down to 11. heavy battle tank eight inches up maintaining an inch away from those dudes and he's going to split some fire between this unit and that apc the laser cannon twin laser cannons go to the apc everything else goes into that unit here's four dice for the twin laser cannons hitting on threes three hits at ap four one save deadly three so that's two of them get through that's six wounds does that kill it yep all right it's dead and nothing's inside all right and everything else is going into this infantry here twin minigun twin minigun any entrees one dead storm rifle two hits no armor piercing both good yep hunter missiles hits a good deadly three doesn't matter kills one soldier heavy fusion rifle missed no all right well this tank is done this apc are you moving it before you shoot [Music] ah interesting so you're preventing my guys from disembarking and rushing over there to contest the objective this turn around nicely done sir all right and now you're unloading everything from it into the tank again very good let's have it two assault rifles two attacks each i'm repair saying nothing saving on two is good plane thrower [Music] last three ap one uh two failures regeneration won't neither of them do two more damage puts it down to nine which is half which means we have to take a morale check do you have any more weapons no that's it okay no more weapons got fearless just don't roll a one it's three okay all right that apc is done it's my turn okay rainbow guard and the captain have disembarked within six inches and charged and now he is moving his units his models up to three inches to maximize base contact to the extent possible while he's doing that i'm gonna go ahead and roll the captain's axe that says poison we're hitting on threes so these burst into two more uh but there is no armor piercing all right um twos okay all good all right no problem now we have the rainbow guard swords three dice each and these have rending so i'm looking for natural sixes okay four wrens so those you need to save on a natural six and then i've got natural stickers [Music] oh my god went through these are you said no ap yes no ap uh one go okay three three wounds total and are you striking back definitely am okay but uh no you haven't fought in melee yet i have not yeah okay well it's this scrum around the corner i've hit i've only done three wounds i don't have fear neither does he and he's about to strike back oh and i have shield wall which means minus one to hit when attacking this model so okay yes wow this is not my night regeneration too dead all right and the lord's energy weapon for attacks getting on force [Music] okay save it on five and it does okay i did two wounds you did three so you gotta do more i'll check a one oh failed inmate in uh melee now you are let's see what size are you at you still have more than half so you're only pinned you're not routed which means you cannot get that marker at least with that can you is that tank within three inches from the center yeah i don't think so no all right okay not so bad uh i have to back up by one inch this demon came out from behind the noctilith crown to come over and claim the marker now he's trying to figure out that really is his final placement because the problem is he cannot see this unit down here so he's trying to use psychic powers but actually from anywhere over there it's like these steps sort of block you the demon came out from behind the noctilith crown and now has good sight here you've got a blockade this is good you've done well here keeping me from charging i was not aggressive enough at first darn it and uh they are within i'm going to use his psychic ability try to uh called cursed sludge five up it will take effect four plus three seven and there is a vexilla in here to try the anti-psychic but the rules actually don't say but i think it assumes it's psychic one for countering which means the only way to beat you is with a natural six which is always a success actually wait i don't know if that's true for this is another one i'll have to put on the forums i don't know if a natural six is always a success on a countering a psychic it doesn't matter whatever okay we'll move on so what'd you do negative six for movement right so he gets negative six moving the little guys the little ones negative six on their next move yep okay gotcha yeah so it says curse sludge target enemy unit within 18 moves negative six next turn and charges and charges got it next turn yeah okay only next turn i have now unloaded this unit from the heavy battle tank and so they are within range of that marker now which is nice i might as well have them charge somebody right yeah because i can still do it and be within three inches of the center of that marker so i think i will charge i'm going to take another run at this tire unit of marines again so there's the scrum first vexilla five dice because of furious hitting on threes that's three dice three hits no armor piercing [Music] good all good now the destroyers and their axes with poison one armor piercing uh nope saved four attacks sixes one ap three number five and it does all right interesting i did more wounds you you're already pinned so what does pins say pinned units automatically fail morale tests so they have failed with and they are at half or less of their starting size which means they're routed all right that was enough i have just this second had an epiphany about the intention of the rules in this game the way it was designed uh because it seems like i was sort of ineffective there at first but then oh man where i really met you gotta sequence your oh man what a cool mechanic i i'm really just starting now to get it all right i'm going to move this unit by up to three inches and then it'll be your turn [Music] only thing you have left is this aircraft and per the a recent thread on the forums about how aircraft work it has to move in a straight line so it can't change its facing it's the only model in the entire game that cares about its facing aircraft so it's going to have to keep moving this way 18 to 36. all right you're going off the board you're going to replace yep all right while you do that let's survey what we've got i earned one point uh two points and three more points so i got a total of five this term you got two two that puts the total at eight points to custodians five points to you okay let's go to the top of round three at the top of round three i will be going first because i finished activating first last round he's dropping in his talon raptors now they have frenzy so that's going to be four dice apiece that's 40 dice and they're hitting on twos because they're bundled with a lord of war who gives them blessing of war so that's plus one forty dice hitting on twos plus the hero oh boy so the question is do i use this thing as a shield to protect them knowing that they're caught in sludge this turn and can only charge up to six inches or hmm that's tricky what do i do because i get to go first so i could have this thing wheel out of their charge range and then the problem is solved but are they within range they are extremely close but yes they are within range and then with my three-inch pylon everything would be in in combat so um i need to think about this i've decided i'm gonna since these guys are limited to six inches anyway they're gonna try and finish this dude off we're gonna charge in first up we have five dice on the vexilar they have fours that's two hits no armor piercing saved destroyers looking for natural sixes because of poison all right so those are misses uh there's a poison and there's a poison no armor piercing on all of those oh all right three beans get through can you regen three wounds let's see people look at this one look at this into my house into my house and you have a lot to strike backwards i cannot believe that i can't like two claws two attacks each hitting on the force nope yep putters two attacks each hit on force ap4 saving on a six it does not uh any any deadly no okay regen it does and then stop stop [Music] saving on threes they do all right do you have fear yes i do not have fear so how many wounds did i call one you didn't cause any nope roll a d3 because of fear to see how many you actually caused ah so we each caused one wound so that means it's a tie and no one takes a morale test i'm going to counsel you basements you're thinking he's got one left you might as well give it a shot and charge with him because he's going out anyway right yep but if you do that then i get to go next and i can move this tank out of charge range think about that you don't want to waste their charge right that's why you put them there so i mean he's if he's going to do anything he can do it later in the term so don't do that charge me i will i'll take advantage of it all right there you go we'll take your advice good man while he takes his sweet time doing this let's just look over here i am really committed to this side of the board which is unfortunate because look at all those models and i really don't need them there we have two more rounds i think i can i might be able to rush 12 and go over and contest this one in the last round we'll see how that goes all right getting ready for a charge over here okay nice tray for this one okay lord of war four dice but five because of furious he himself does not have frenzy there's not but these are hitting on twos okay okay armor piercing three ap three saving on fives three of them get through can i regenerate them regenerate one two wounds all right he's down to sixteen what else you got all right and then here we go talon raptors and their chain swords 40 dice let's have it on twos saving on twos four of them got through regeneration one regen three wounds get through he's down to eighteen that's eighteen wounds in male uh four wounds in melee the battle tank has no melee weapons so and does not have fear which means you won the melee so a morale test just don't need a one that's good all right uh you back them up by one inch i if you don't want to bother just leave them there okay my turn this heavy battle tank will wheel out something less than nine inches and then it's going to unload everything up into that demon everything everything's within range i'm shooting into cover because it's in that terrain piece so here we go ready to dance the spears let's do it okay first up the mini gun eight dice sitting on fours one damage take it storm rifle two hits no armor piercing one ghost there okay heavy fusion rifle that's a hit ap four all right so on sixes nope deadly six gone okay i should have split fire but i had to get the job done so this demon has been blown up and that is a general kill so that is the point for moi i just realized i did a really stupid thing and now you have that objective marker what was i thinking oh no and he even could he could have seen that from there darn it okay you live and learn [Music] i'm going to this gimbal is fun up down up down left right whoops 18 18 and i'm firing into the group down there this group yep okay dice hitting on fours uh ep one ap one saving on threes two get through regeneration one regen one wound gets through so you killed one he had one dice one hit left on him you will be remembered brother oh wait we'll put him over here considering how useless the heavy battle tanks have been against your infantry i think i'm gonna move this one at the double and just get it in the garage and contest the objective wait check that i think for the first time ever i'm going to embark these units before i do that then we'll wheel him over there yeah now here's the thing i need to stay put with that unit because i want to claim the marker and block off the apc and all that good stuff but here's where the micro comes in that first this unit is going to charge here and maintain coherency which is two inches between models so i'm going to try and wrap around as much as i can so that this thing's 18 inches is going to be a long trek later on to try and get to contest that marker to the point that i think it'll be impossible i'm going to get my tape measure in check okay with all of that said i right now i can't get between the tanks with this guy i would like to be able to wrap around as much as possible so we're gonna wait for now and i think we'll go ahead and burn some time having this guy gimbal fire up there into cover but firing upon them nonetheless walker hitting on fours because you're in cover two hits no armor pier uh one armor piercing threes and threes all right killed two of them and then we also have the storm rifle both miss okay kill two now it's your turn while sea bass is thinking just to reiterate so right now this is blocked off this tank cannot wrap around and that's why i've waited on those activations i'm waiting as long as i can unfortunately he's still got one two three more activation so he's gonna out sequence me i'm gonna have to be the one to move first over here at some point that's okay i think i have an idea what i'm to do it just i might not be able to charge but no biggie so see best you know what you're doing next charging uh hitting with natural sixes only yep okay claws hitting on sixes regeneration does not one wound okay next is the cutters nope and then stomp on nope okay one wound i will punch back first up the vexila four dice because we're not the ones charging okay that's got no armor piercing got it two that's good and then destroyers no sixes okay i will do a morale check it's a two oh oh that's close all right past so he's done back to me now i'm on the other side of the table so i would love to be able to charge that apc but if i do i just can't wrap around enough and ensure that i keep this marker i've got to keep it right now because of these two we measured and we know that apc cannot contest so i'm just going to move them so that they are spread out as possible making a conga line that the tank has to go around maintaining my two inch coherence and then i'll actually shoot because these guys do have shooting weapons so we'll go ahead and give that a try and here we go the vexila's flamethrower hitting on fours there's four of them no armor piercing one one one gets through and then we've got uh these are basically assault rifles the axe rifles on the destroyers those all hit no armor piercing good there's one wound down to five um that is it your turn fantastic cutting this way do you stop cheating the tank cheeky son of a now you have to go around very good thinking i i did not see that coming so see how i can adjust to this still worth the three points i got this is going to be three points that's good it was the right thing rainbow guard is going to embark onto this transport and that will be the end of their activation back to you everything that can see is firing over to here yep from this unit shifting them around so one or this one because i can't deliberately break coherency so it's gonna go on this one plasma rifle ooh plasma mist and the last is the uh missile launchers hp okay uh one attack three good uh last three saving on twos all saved there's wonderful micro tactics here that apc is blocking me off the model is not big enough to fit through this gap right here between the tank and the tank the container barrel tank and the combat tank so he wants to play cute i'll play cute too we're just gonna move this up and do my own little block there now it doesn't matter what you do to those units over there and i think we will then fire some weapons i'm not taking any chances that tank has to go down dude all twin laser cannons and the heavy fusion rifle are going into hit everything else is going into this infantry up here first laser cannons oh man i'm glad i did that alright so that's two hits ap four sixes nope okay that's six damage all right so the fusion rifle was wasted that's okay twin minigun up into that infantry uh four is because you're in cover three all good storm rifle getting on force one hit no armor piercing [Music] good hunter missiles miss heavy battle tank activated so he did end up moving them back he's going to have that marker at the end of this turn now he's thinking about i guess some micro positioning and then presumably he'll fire down at the tank so your intent is you've built a screen so i can't possibly contest that objective got it okay no armor piercing no restriction both saved uh plasma rifle regen it does not that's a wound last is the uh 18. okay on three nope no all right all right not much that's it right then that's the bottom of round three let's see what we've got i scored one two three four you scored one two three four five six which puts the total at 13 points custodians 11 for havoc brothers i don't like it so this tank over here was a stupid move on my part okay it's okay go to the top of round four and i would get to go first so the question is do i move nine inches and then be able to fire everything because they got some juicy they got taste the rainbow but then you could move into defensive posture right now if i rush i could get all the way under there and challenge the objective and i know you're not going to have it this turn so maybe that's what i should do let me think yep play the mission not the blood sport so he pulled on into this garage it's actually the reason i designed this terrain so it would fit a land raider perfectly all right so he's in there he is under that marker so the marker is now going to be contested at the end of this round your turn [Music] he's working on a way to soften up this unit some more before he charges with these guys he's counting on a white because if he wipes them he can move back by up to three inches and get back within range of this when he charges he'll be out of range but if he can wipe them then he'll fall back three and that's a big gambit man because that's that's a three-point swing right there you don't have that at the end of this round yep this flyer has to move at least 18 inches so it can't help you here so you're talking about making this thing fly for now and at least trying to soften them up yup okay either use the dragon or the fiend to soften that up because the yeah also has quite a big hit well you should do both right you should do both before these guys and the one in danger is the theme this guy's not in danger you should use the fiend first if you don't charge me i'm gonna charge you you gotta assume on fours all hit no armor piercing all saved and then we've got four hits no armor piercing one wound can it regen this is the toughest fiend i've ever seen okay you did more wounds more hell morals good so before they had a chance to fall down and block me and everything i unloaded the rainbow guard they moved three inches over and three inches up at the worst and they are charging and we're fighting up on the catwalks first up captain no poisons but two hits maybe no armor piercing two good and now the swords and these have rending one rend nope okay oh hang on a sec yeah they're no armor piercing okay so i got one wound and two twos all good okay one guy goes down one wound on the charge okay another brother goes down neither of us has fear one wound each there is no more i'll check it's your turn saving on twos all good is the launcher hc [Music] for the record you should have fired that missile launcher first and you should have done it with an at that way you would have had a better chance of taking this guy out he had two wounds on him yep then you could have wound spill over the way you just did it get a risk of overkill and waste all right okay are they done yes my turn the walker is gonna just keep camping this objective for now we're gonna have this guy fire the only thing he can see which is them in cover heavy minigun hitting on fours one wound and the this and just moving them away to be bait now they can't charge them but if i do that on your next activation you can build yourself a nice screen for this objective so what i have to do right now is slide this tank back in here let's see if i can do it and have enough so i've slid back nine inches kept it in the same shape and i'm three and an eighth of an inch away ugh all right well play the mission so i'm gonna move them a little more contest the objective and not fire any weapons it is your turn beautiful swarmed in same as before 40 dice hitting on twos trying to regenerate these six wounds bam all right interesting um and now is the lord oh yes that was the time of the board lord of war hitting on threes wow ap three saving on fives one save four get through regenerate two regens two damage get through it's down to five it can't swing back it is at less than half it lost the melee does it route no it doesn't route okay um you would move them back an inch but whatever over there the vessel is out of range with its 12 inch weapon the other ones are firing up into here on fours because you're in cover one hit no armor piercing okay back to you unit up here not moving because you want to get that point and you're firing everything into the tank we measured everything's within range let's see if you can finally bring this bad boy down ap three saving on a five it saves okay still i took a wound so i need to do a morale check well is failed of course it is all right this unit's pinned so if we go to around five it will be useless oh my god also you get this marker i always forget about that mechanic nicely done i mean not you tag sea bass nicely done this unit hopped up the mountain just in case there's a turn five that's everybody that's the end of round four let's see you gained one point four points nothing here so you gained a total of four i gained one two three four myself 17 custodians to 15 havoc brothers now would you like to do the punch back you are gonna punch back sitting on twos hang on twos thanks to the blessing good all right saving on twos one gets through regeneration that does not that's enough to kill off this one oh man that explains some things the whole game eternal vigilant the hero and his unit get plus one to their melee rolls i haven't been doing that okay well that's okay that explains some things all right go ahead and you did more wounds so i'm going to do a more i'll check morale is passed because they're fearless okay that was a whole lot of nothing back up by one inch and it's your turn no i back up by one inch over here he's taking the talons and wheeled them around and charging from the back side just in case they don't do the job leaves room for that guy to charge in and finish it up so four wounds to get through but really all you got to do is win the melee because if you do automatically fail morale because pinned yeah plus right so you do one wound you win the melee i fail morale it's routed let's just skip it and we'll go there you sure yeah it could be the uh it's not gonna happen it's not gonna happen all right okay you get your three inch consolidate while i while you're doing that i am going to think about this unit in the center here the tank down there is going to unload and he's in the terrain now so no more cover he's firing straight up into the catwalks at that unit twin minigun hitting on threes two deaths good two are dead yep storm rifle two hits no armor piercing good hunter missiles miss the first twin laser cannon both hit ap4 nope okay deadly three each doesn't matter kills two soldiers the second twin laser cannon two hits ap4 okay uh so how many do you have left if a model with tuff joins a unit without it then it is removed last when the unit takes wounds so they gotta go on the other dudes first unfortunately so that's them that's all captain okay captain's all that's left and all i have left is a heavy fusion rifle which is deadly six so if this hits here we go here we go but i have to roll yeah you gotta roll see if you're pinned three you're good okay that's it for that tank it's your turn at this point here's the deal um i would have a point here you'd have a point up there you'd have three here i'd have three there so we're no for this turn and then in here it's contested and there is no way that your captain is gonna kill a tank and these three dudes which means that'll be contested and you've decided to call it so i will air air shake social distance handshake damn best game we've ever played yeah that was flowed and for our first one since yeah man before the pandemic yeah we haven't played in a long time i played with my wife a couple months ago that was a small game though so the big things were my eternal vigilance so i had some attacks that were not optimized and you forgot to attack with your tank one time your apc yeah i forgot a few things yeah it happens we're noobs but it's fine yeah so i all things considered equal uh this was an awesome game the delta was two points we ended up being 15 to 17 right so it would have been 19 would have been right yeah would have been 1917. so man what
