Gordon Mote sings "Power in the Blood" on Country's Family Reunion

gordon moats over here yes he he's at the PM yes yes I thought that was I thought that was Portal Wagner back y'all never heard I'm sure everybody's in dears garden if port Porter recorded a lot of great gospel songs had a lot of big gospel Christian music what would he say if he was here right now you know I've won a couple of Grammys for gospel singing with the Blackwood brothers and song called city on the hill and another song called house to go and I love gospel music you know the black woods when they when they sang a song if it ain't gospel it's going to be because they sang the hell out of it [Laughter] [Applause] I heard him say that myself one time but Porter loved gospel music he would always talk about how his mom taught him so many of the songs and he would say and I would sang on the tractor lots of them great songs in one time I was singing pretending I was at the Ryman Auditorium hanging with the gospel group and this show boy come up and said you ought to get back to you work you'll never be a singer and you know he was right I never was much of a singer but I dress good a lot of great talent in this room and a great artist and I am so proud to be a part of this but before we go any further this band over here dirt les Mike David John Gardner incredible what what the folks they you artists know this but what the folks out there watching us don't understand is they they will talk through these intros and they'll talk through the form but they never get to rehearse it with the artist what you hear and what you see is the very first time they've done it which is kind of like church playing and singing as we used to do on and somebody said a while ago that Wednesday night was kind of the time that you could cut loose at our church I went to a church of God we kind of cut loose all the time it was always Wednesday night Sunday morning Sunday night matter of fact the best exercise plan known to man was going to our church because they just run all the time but one of the I'm so grateful as I'm sure all of us are to our parents for for having us in church and and living out the example of a relationship with Christ and how important teaching is how important that would be in our lives and I'm grateful for that legacy I'm grateful that mom and dad had us in church all the time so that we could learn these great old hymns of our faith and we're gonna do one right now power in the blood you read each other [Music] would you be free from your burden of sing there's power in the blood power in the blood would you beautiful a winner there's wonderful power in the blood there is power [Music] in the blood [Music] [Applause] [Music] would you do service for Jesus your king there's power in the blood power in the blood Mooji lifting his praises to say there's wonderful power [Music] there is in the blood blade [Music] in the precious [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] and [Music] [Applause] [Music] baby great singing out there these clips are great but to see where country legacy lives in full episodes go to country road TV
