[Music] now it's quicker turn your neighbor and say this will be good okay that's all you need to say just that that's okay now my wife and I got married 21 years ago at two rivers Baptist Church in Nashville Tennessee it was such a big big old church we used to call it Six Flags Over Jesus it was a very traditional Church high church music and a few words have heard Mary have a lamb at that church at that time you would have probably heard it for the offertory and it would have sounded a little like this [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] now if you were to go to a much smaller church may it be a Baptist Methodist Church whatever whatever it might be my brother and I second many many churches that were so small when they built it back in the old days they didn't even have indoor facilities outhouse imagine trying to get two blind children in and out of an outhouse our parents were good parents if you were to go to one of those churches where two or three are gathered only two three never lucky if you had someone who knew how to play piano and if you did chances are it would have sounded a little like this [Music] [Music] [Applause] if you're North Carolina in the long ago and I did that some guy in the back students it was six I mentioned to some of you that I grew from the Church of God now then we're Church of God Cleveland I didn't know there was a difference until I got older I just August the Church of God were the only ones they thought I thought a trip to the Holy Land was a treat to Cleveland Cleveland Tennessee that's a traveling and if Hubert's who have heard wearing a little lamb at our church the little eight hadn't played the piano would have played a little like this [Music] you know it's it's no wonder I'm so crazy because until I was about 16 and I didn't know that every song didn't have to have one of two different introductions [Music] - geez [Music] [Music] jeez [Applause] stop being me when I was going through college I first well I got my degree at Belmont University that's where I met my wife in Nashville Tennessee we've lived there since I went to Belmont 1991 met her I married a 92 we've been there but before Belmont I went to Jacksonville State University my parents were still very proud of me I cram four years of school into five well Tempe my wife now she I mean my kids are intelligent and they get it from her she graduated magna I graduated thank the law and but I went to Jacksonville State University as a vocal major and we every year as a choir but staying at st. Michael's Episcopal Church now the anticip will send the Catholics handle their music in much the same way and we're you know you've heard the old adage for three or four Catholics are gathered together there's usually a fifth just even real we gotta t we got any Catholics or former Catholics in the building if we got any we do that's awesome good tell me I said hey Presbyterian I'm not allowed to talk to her if you were to go to the Catholic or an Episcopal Church in your very mm this is exactly the way it might sound [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] I have got myself in trouble with every denomination Steve Mills I can offend we growing up in Alabama and Sunday mornings we were intrigued because we had a television station out of Birmingham that around 8 o'clock we would get to hear the bishop just for me of the yo-yoing Church of God now I will tell you right now and this is this is from the book of second opinions but I believe that most of us white folks are going to be asked to step aside when we get to heaven when they start getting out the choir books because the black folks know how to get done and so hopefully I can learn a little bit of that black gospel when I get to heaven but I need your help on a dry and demonstrate mary had a little lamb as it might be done in those churches but I need your help because it's the question-and-answer thing so I'll say that's it bear and you know yeah let's see how this works this could be good I sent me this may be one of the white tiger [Applause] [Applause] I wish I can hear it from where I'm at I'm a little Mayo [Music] [Applause] are good sports all right there's one final one and you have any Church of Christ here tonight just ask did I hear somebody say get it Jim you're here and you're getting to see it you're gonna hear a piano tonight [Applause] it's almost like sentence all right so here's here's the variable in church criteria that was easy [Applause] [Music] that's Oh [Applause] amazing Oh [Music] see one way Jesus [Music] my savior [Applause] [Applause] [Applause] [Music] [Music] is yes casteau that's it [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause]
