what's up guys welcome back to iron brothers i'm david i'm daniel and uh we've got an awesome comparison for you today between talking about concealed carry here between the glock 43x and the glock 19 gen 5. i love it guys before we get started real quick if you want to support us go to ironapparel.com pick up our brand new shirt god family country we just dropped this a couple weeks ago sold out almost immediately we've got more on the way um danny and i we own a t-shirt business that's how we basically you know that's our primary this is just a side project if you want to support us without having to go to patreon or any of these other crazy things we literally own a business that we owned before we started this youtube channel where we make fantastic products god family country so that's that we'd love to have your support okay we have for you today the glock 43 x versus the glock 19. focusing primarily on concealed carry that's part of the discussion i guess this is just a direct little view of comparison talk about everything that comes up yes yeah um so real quick i guess i i brought my 43 just to show the comparison between the 43 and the 43 this was made and sold like two years before this became available i think that was intentional because they sold a ton of these because it was the first single stack nine mil block and then they were like oh here's this one that's better um in my opinion between the two hands down this one takes the cake so this won't really be a part of the review gonna put that away but just wanted to share that with you if you're looking at the 43 versus the 43x i would absolutely recommend the 43x okay so then comparing the 19 to the 43x which one should you go with um i will start ultimately with reliability yeah they're both made by glock the 19 has been around a lot longer there's going to be a lot more testing a lot more just length of you know yeah and it's a proven track record it's a full-size block so i would say probably you're going to have more reliability in the long run probably nearly identical if either of them gets an edge yeah it's going to be the full size regular you know people use it for duty people use it for all sorts of things i feel like just with the sheer size with this being smaller i don't know it's snappier maybe there's more parts where that would happen with it they're probably going to be identical it's a glock you're good to go yeah you're good yes basically if you've made it this far and you're defi deciding between these two congratulations you're going to win a category of reliability concealability that's going to be a long time this yeah basically in my opinion this is the i mean this is the champion in terms of concealability it's smaller it's lighter it's thinner um it's shorter it's in every metric it is more concealable than the 19. there's no there's nothing about the 19 there's no situation where the 19 would be more concealable than this that being said just to black and white that really simple you're absolutely correct it's it's more conceivable the the caveat is the next category we're going to talk about which is accuracy okay so yeah i 100 percent agree edge goes so 3x edge goes to this this is prior to this being made the 19 is probably the most common concealed carry weapon in the country it probably still is because there are a lot of dudes who are comfortable conceal carrying a glock 19 and they basically you know are like that is what made this such a popular weapon that's why it became like the number one most selling weapon in the country is because it was the first full duty-sized weapon that could also be concealed very comfortable it a massive beretta m9 yeah yeah so when it comes to concealability and i'm staying on this topic a little bit longer for me i'm a bigger dude i already kind of have you know less of a fun time conceal appendix carrying anything just because i'm fat dude like that's it and that's i mean that is what it is i'm kind of a shorter stouter dude um i've got less room around my waist to be concealed carriage and that's something that i should fix but odds are probably some of you are in the same most of us especially most of us with kovid yeah um so and weight wise i don't like i wear a lot of athletic shorts i'm not out there in jeans with a leather belt on every day i wear a lot more you know shorts and things like that um and so because of that i don't want something extremely heavy i feel more comfortable and that's that's that's the one situation where the 43 sometimes when i'm wearing things that i want to be able to be move a little bit more or be outside whatever i'll take it that's shorter gun um yeah but that's the reason that i went with the 43x so basically i own both i started with a 19 and then i got a 43x so i think that's going to kind of sum up a lot in this video is and i'll get to that at the end but if you can only pick one um i think you kind of know where i'm going with that but yeah concealability especially for fat dudes this thing wins because you can still if you're like me you're kind of a shorter stouter dude but you don't have ginormous hands this thing is super comfortable super controllable i get a perfect grip on it every single time it's awesome versus i think bigger taller dudes that are more athletic that have bigger hands are way more comfortable with the 19 than the smaller 43x it's too small for their hands so they're almost i mean it's damn near they're super similar which is so weird because the dimensions are so different it's the 43x is a phenomenal concealed carry gun the caveats come in size and weight and accuracy and all those tactical considerations accuracy because that's our next point so the accuracy is 100 percent the edge goes to the 19 uh it's science the longer barrel you have the more accurate the barrel is um and that's a big consideration for me and that's why i carry not this exact gun this was my first glock purchase and now i carry a shadow systems mr920 which is effectively the exact same as this but it's a much more accurate handgun than a sub compact these concealed carry guns are considered sub compacts and they have a much shorter barrel they're quite a bit snappier and guys always get them for their girlfriends because they're like oh it's tiny it's cute doesn't it feel good in your hands and then they go to shoot it and they're like jesus and they never shoot again because it [ __ ] recoils like crazy uh i will say for for me this is more comf it's just as comfortable to shoot at this as this um it's the 43x yes yes the 43 not so much because it's so much shorter it's making a second appearance in the video it's so much shorter that like my pinky's hanging off i don't know if you can see that yeah so like when it recoils it's like wow there's nothing to hold on to down here and it it recoils a lot because you've got a lot of unburnt powder that's just flying out of the barrel the shorter um you get and the shorter um frame you get the more unpleasant of a time you are going to have which is why something like the 17 is like yes people think it's more accurate you also get a longer burn time in the barrel with your powder so it's got more velocity it's deadlier there's a lot of advantages there slide the good thing about the slide i would say i mean they're basically the same [Music] the 43x all of them come with front serrations that's probably the only differentiator as you'll notice here his is a gen 5 on the gen 5 glocks they did the front serrations and the front beveling so it goes into a holster more easily which for concealed carry or something like that that's a consideration for me that's a good thing um this one's a gen 4 and as you can see it doesn't have the front serrations and it doesn't have the beveling on the slide so depending on the generation of glock that you get that could be a consideration this one will always which have the frustration increasing some people say is like not really a jailbreaker for me it is i really really like that's true i do too i've got a number of blocks that don't have them so i'm like ah it's not important whatever but i like that internally i'm sick of stopping by why would you not i they are nice i love manipulating my gun and making sure it's clear and yeah that's that's just a phenomenal tool doing press checks you know well and when you're running so here's an actual consideration for front serrations if you're running an optic doing the whole hand over thing is not as ideal as it once was so getting the frustrations gets a lot better or slapping the hell out of your optic but if you have a crappy optic you might not want to do that so that's true yeah trigger they're i mean they should be identical they're blocked they suck [Music] they're okay they're pretty good i mean they're good they're good enough for everybody you know so yeah not much to say there i don't think there's an edge to anybody parts availability the 19 is gonna take the cake there this is newer there's starting to be a lot of holsters for this a lot of lights however there's the glock 19 is the most common platform it's the most common pistol yeah ever in the world so yeah nothing is going to be to glock 19 in terms of parts availability one pro and one con for each um let's see you want to do that yeah so for the 19 and in relation to concealability uh that's the easiest way to do this in my opinion the pro 2 in relation to considerability for the glock 19 in my opinion is it's still concealable enough and it's extremely accurate and tried and true i know that i'm going to be able to hit shots out to 25 meters 100 effectively with the barrel length that i'm rocking onto 19. um the con it's heavier it's more uncomfortable especially if you're running an optic and a light and all of that stuff those are all considerations so it being a full-sized gun is a obvious con in terms of concealability for the 43 x basically reverse the two um my accuracy is not going to be as good i am not going to feel super confident taking a 25 meter headshot on an active shooter with a sub compact this is more you know really close and personal three to seven meters which is 95 of encounters so yeah this is gonna probably take the cake for that this is fine um and the con or uh sorry the pro being very small very sleek very lightweight and um as far as sub compacts go i really like how long the frame is and that i can actually get that really good purchase this is hands down the best subcompact yeah i've ever held springfield hellcat is a close second yeah close second but if you're in the realm of glock great subcompact yeah i would say yeah the pro for this i mean he he hit the nail on the head pro for this is it's ultra concealable the con not as much velocity probably i mean definitely not as much accuracy not as many accessories out there for it it can pretty much i mean this is not a duty gun like this is a conceal gun so i wouldn't be able to use this i wouldn't be able to use this for duty but i would be able to use it for concealability whereas this i would be able to use for duty and i would be able to use it for concealed not as it doesn't do concealability as well as this does but it does do both whereas this does one really well but not the other and i think that's basically going to be you know if we had to make a recommendation yeah my the way that i would sum this up is i would say you should get both or you should get a 43x and then you should get a full size either 17 or 19x or 45 yes duty gun i think you should spend the money and get a perfect concealed carry gun with the shield arms magazine the 15 round magazine which i didn't really cover much on this but we've got a little extra time shield arms basically identify so from the factory this comes with only a 10 round magazine and that that's another huge information for soap compacts versus full size from the factory if you only want to spend 500 bucks or whatever and only want to get one glock get the 19. because from the factory this is going to come with three 15 round magazines standard um it gives you the compat the capacity it can be used in duty situations it can be used in concealed carry situations this is like the do it all glock and so if you could only pick one i would say get to 19 for sure but my true recommendation would be spend the money to get both and if you get both spend the money to get the shield arms magazine so they they identified that basically the standard glock magazine that came with this that only holds 10 rounds there's a lot of wasted space in the design of that so they made this entirely of steel without like the inner aluminum and outer plastic housing of the glock magazines and using all of that room more efficiently they were able to fit 15 rounds double stacked in here so that's the only way that they both really even compare is if you are rocking these mags which are like day near 40 bucks a piece so they're really expensive um so the only way that this can really even begin to compete with the 19 is if you upgrade all the bags which is expensive as it is so i mean for a concealed gun how many bags do you really need like maybe two max probably just one but yeah i'd rock the tier one concealed carry appendix carry holster that's the little side car so too so that's an extra 60 bucks i would say designed for concealed carry only this cannot be beat the 43x with a 15 round shield in the real arms max you want to talk about other brands i think it can be i i don't i don't think for a sub compact with i think you've got the reliability the durability i'm going to do a video on that eventually i i would wager like someone show me a better concealed carry package all things considered than this i think this is the champion fair enough and a lot of people share down in the comments that's going to cause so much drama hellcat was a good one i i'm sure there's probably some contestants but telling you guys share down in the comments i know that everybody's going to have an opinion about that that's my opinion you know that's why i carry it i'm like i want to have the best what's the best i couldn't find anything better than this with this it's 15 right it's it's all of the good stuff that this has for concealed carry that the glock 19 became so popular for having for concealed carry with freaking 15 you know round capacity in a tiny little lightweight there are very much few subcompacts that the springfield hellcat is like the one in the thing you know well the hellcat has the little extender which basically brings the purchase to the same size as this but then it brings three x with the stack mag so that's true that being said the 15 round mag capacity is a very unique thing to a very few groups of some of sub compact nine mils and yeah that's definitely yeah i would say the exact same thing if you're getting concealed you can't beat 43x and if you're watching this video you're probably gotta go glock anyway yeah and you should go glock yeah especially for full size guns i'm not much of a subcompact guy i'm not big well danny can comfortably carry the glock 19. not super comfortably it gets uncomfortable at times but i'm fine with risking that and dealing with the uncomfortability for the sake of being able to touch out further and also being able to interchange between having my gun as my conceal and then throwing it on my warbill yeah i wanted a jack-of-all-trades gun and that is what my shadow systems ever 920 is or a glock 19. this is i mean perfect there's a lot to be said about that like yeah everybody's not made of money i mean that's why we're selling t-shirts they're expensive and i will tell you for both of us our first handgun purchase was the glock 19. this was my first gun and that was his first gun um and that was for a reason i think if you could only have one gun ever in life period ar shotgun remington 700 all of the categories considered this is the only gun that i would if i had to sell all my other ones or get rid of all my other ones and i could only keep one this is the one that i would i was completely made of money and i'm going to be concealing i would buy this and then any number of options of a full-size duty gun duty gun or like a war or whatever the one that you carry in a holster on your side on a battle belt or whatever it may be yeah to me they're two separate entities because i'm such a gun person and i'm willing to spend a lot of money on this i eventually i'm gonna cut this for an optic i'm gonna just completely you know pimp out and freaking make my [ __ ] [ __ ] for both of them weapon light optic on both of them is it a 507k that yes for sub compact yeah on both of them i think the holosun beats out the the rmr yeah basically because i can change the battery without working and they've got the and it's cheaper there's a lot of advantages about that anyway guys i think that pretty much wraps up the video i mean we've said it a few times if you could only buy one champion i think the undisputed champion if you want the best concealed carry and then you're okay if you're just made of freaking money and you're okay buying two separate handguns which yeah get off get get off buy all the guns get all of them get the 43 for pocket carry get the 43x for regular appendix concealed carry get this to keep on the nightstand get the 19x or the 45 to put on your duty belt or 17. yeah shoot do we still have time the other consideration was magazine compatibility with this yes any magazine that you come across on the on the battlefield wherever is more than likely going to fit in this whereas these magazines are super uncommon and you basically have to bring your own if it's a glock mag it's probably a 17 or a 19 yes and i don't feed both it'll take all of them yeah like i said if you could i mean hands down the 19 that's that's why it's the most popular gun in the world that's it stay sharp
