today we give you praise we give you glory in jesus mighty name amen good morning everyone and good morning from around the world thank you for joining us this morning this is a global prayer service and there are some one or two things i'm going to be bringing to your notice i'll do this one right now immediately this is the act of intercession by kenneth hagin everyone should go and get this book and you need to start reading it immediately already two weeks has gone in january and you have to join the prayer movement that has started all over the place and this is one of the books you need to get but there are two other ones we'll be looking at today and i'll be talking to you about it very soon we are going to get because we just came back from the post-encounter retreat it's a fasting retreat um everybody was there i mean certain people were there some of our leaders we were all living in a convent in a retreat ground for this whole week and i will be initiating another fasting program starting tomorrow morning tomorrow morning not only here in abuja but all over the world wherever you have churches wherever you have families wherever you have cell groups wherever you have anything you need to leave this meeting and go to your whatever and start that and tomorrow to the end of the week and of course next sunday i'll be doing another prayer service here glory glory glory i need um two guys who will come and help me pastor will be you know and another person get mics one person on this end one person on this and we're going to get feedback for the next 30 minutes uh those who attended the post encounter what the experience was like what effect they had on you now you are helping us to help and let others so that they can queue into it immediately and of course if you have prayer requests and prayer needs write it make sure we get it on that table because in a couple of minutes you're going to be laying hands on all those prayer requests if you're fully but i saw you once or twice you know you know you guys in the corporate world so possibly what was that experience like let's start with you you know and then uh let's find out what is going on here then before we was the first you know experience like thank you so much how did you survive you know thank you so much sir um you know the first the post-encounter you know intensive fasting program was it was awesome for me prior to to that just before christmas i was down with some illness and when i came out of that pastor told me because i'd slimmed down a lot that period so he told me you have done your fasting you don't need to join the january fasting but when the fasting started i felt i needed to join so i joined i joined the fasting and then we went for the post encounter it was it was awesome these two books we reviewed them during the fasting program this one is fasting the key to releasing god's power in your life by direct prince and then of course we also review this one fasting and prayer the atomic power of god it was explosive apart from the fact that fasting helps us deal with certain issues in our lives it releases god's power you know as we were going through it one of the things that occurred to me was that this thing is here in plain sight in the scriptures and we struggle with things look at people struggling with things like addictions things like smoking alcohol all other addictions that people have just fasting for three days can destroy those things so we rediscovered the power of fasting what it can do for an individual what it can do for a society a community a group what you can do even for a nation or to the scriptures so for me it was an awesome and personally personally my life my life was changed he was changing that meeting because this this kind of services we have very little we can do so i'm also authorizing our media department to upload some of those sections some small small sections so that other people can go to the youtube and facebook can benefit i'm authorizing that not everything but yeah you know like some of those reviews and some other testimonies of people because people had testimonies and we couldn't finish um yes um yes what was the experience like for you thank you pastor um first i want to say i'm deeply grateful for that meeting and also grateful that you allowed a zoom session so i just followed the session while i was in the office one of the greatest things that happened to me this week is the amount of light it was so powerful that even in my job the level of assimilation the way i could assume i never knew fasting had that impact it went beyond just not eating not so the light that i was receiving was so much that i forgot that there was anything about hunger or anything about fasting i just i just knew that something was happening so when we were reviewing some of the books and you were you were insisting we followed item by item i really did not understand until the second day that they kicked in there was so much light in that meeting so much light and i'm grateful sir i'm grateful sir daniel chapter 9 verse 20 to 22. let's just see that is one of the things that happened where is that first the supernatural world comes and then your eyes will open while i was speaking the man was doing 21 days fast while i was speaking and praying and confessing my sins and the sins of my people israel presenting my supplication before the lord my god for the holy mountain of my god verse 21 yeah while i was speaking in prayer the man gabriel this is a gabriel whom i had seen in vision at the beginning being caused to fly swiftly touched me about the time of the evening oblation that's what fasting does it unlocks ministry of angels it unlocks your inner faculties will open up you start seeing things you know god said call upon me and i'll answer you and i will show you great and mighty things which thou knowest knows and so verse 22 look at what gabriel said to daniel and he informed me and talked with me and said oh daniel i am now comfort to give this skill an understanding that's one of the things that i gained from this that's one of the things that's one of the secrets for the level of depth of understanding and wisdom that our prayer fasting opens up your faculties if you want to know how danny got the level of wisdom he carried food is good but too much eating dolls understanding fleshly indulgences dulls the understanding it does okay yes pastor talk to us what about you i saw you there before you start taking all of your testimonies yeah thank you pastor um i was grateful for the one of last year but the one of this year was to another level um so when we were reviewing the books uh at the point a new system don't like the battle said that as it was ministering the spirit entered me i noticed the spirit of impossibility came into me now prior to that i got an information my mom was down she had an attack he was rushed to the hospital and she was discharged and then her elder brother and younger sister called me on phone and said something is wrong in your father's compound that your mom is not going to survive this month max february she will be gone and that's something needs to be done now you're from these some parts there's something that is done where people die it's traditional and fatty stuff just to decide to appease the the dead body and they said they have to do that on my mom because my father died it was not done my stepmom died it was he was not done if that's what is coming after your mom that your mom is not going to survive pastor i got angry in my spirit and it was what this fasting this program helped me to achieve i got angry in my spirit and i began to declare things in the realm of israel and say lord i'm in charge i'm the priest of this family nothing is going to happen to my mom pastor as i stand with you right now my mom is fine because i even call down phone i say mom look at what he said about you what do you think she said son thank you for carrying me along you know how i brought you guys up even if i would die in this sickness i'd rather die than go through that part but i know i'm not gonna die i said mom thank you when agreement you're not going to die so church as i speak with you my mom is fine everything is okay so fast what this fasting did for me is um i don't know how to describe i'm ready to you know because that atomic bomb that particularly was one administered to me most i saw the kind of revival what god did with men through fasting and so i've said to myself i said oh no now i know the secret i know the secret of my priesthood and pastor i'm ready i'm ready nothing can stop me nothing god gave me a word in isaiah chapter 60. he said look i've sent you to read the standard in that line age you are the first to be born again your defense of your daily pastor this is the reason this is the sad time salvation has come to your family settle free residence standard isaiah chapter 62 verse 10 and 11 that's what the word gave me he said read the standard pull it up put it down 60 verse that's what 11 that's 10 and 11 10 and 11. 62 sorry 62 62 verse 10 and 11. as i 62 verse 10 he says go through go through the gates prepare the way of the people cast up cast up the highway gather out the stones because i was told that things were buried in my last compound during my forefathers time that is what is speaking and all of that so god said look at use your mouth pastor has taught you this use your mouth and uproot whatever they said that have been planted in your family release angels let them go and pull them out so they cast out this crust up the highway gotta add the sun lift up the standard for the people that's the short word that god gave me i've said to you at verse 11 let me see what is there he said behold the lord are proclaimed unto the end of the world say he to the daughter of zion behold thy salvation has come behold his reward is with him and his work before him pastor i can't thank you enough you know my heart is full of gratitude full of gratitude to you thank you sir thank you thank you for the review i've read this book but during the review oh my my thank you sir thank you sir a book we're talking about fasting the atomic power of god prayer is powerful but it's just like a gun fasting is a bump prayer is a gun fasting is a bomb not just bombo it's nuclear bomb if you want to clear the enemy sweep him off [Music] maybe get the cobra everyone lift up one hand just pray in the spirit for one every everything broke down cancer was breaking down mental illness broke down people with all sorts of things barringers was breaking down uh uh uh uh what do you call stomach ulcers we're breaking down all kinds of things that's what fasting does it unlocks the powers of the age to come let me get a few feedback but before i even do that yes oh god that is what because i saw you there what happened with you you were in that whatever thank you sir thank you pastor honestly this meeting that we went for was an eye opener for me sir just like my brother pastor be said it really helped us to rediscover it really helped us to rediscover the secrets of christianity so my take home was on that big review on the atomic power so while you were pastor bender were doing the book review it was clearer to me that there are certain things sometimes we try to change only with prayer especially when it has to do with taking territories i've come to realize that there is no territory that cannot be taken what it requires is not just only prayer but prayer and fasting you know you read the scripture for us where jesus told the disciple that this kind go with not except to fasting and prayer so i found out that there is no kind of territory there is no kind of people no matter the people group that cannot be changed there is no kingdom there is no throne that cannot be taken for god because sometimes we fix 21 days prayer forgetting that prayer and fasting is what gets the job done i've come to realize something sir in fact i told myself after that prayer that the journey continues it's not just only for this last week event right now i've already called my leaders i told every one of them that this week we're starting our own the experience we had in fact when the scripture talked about the mount sinai experience sometimes when we read it it's as if it's not something that happened something that was real it's about that experience we had they really taught me something that there is no kind of god's presence that you cannot bring down once you introduce the fasting and i also spoke to my wife so you know you told us something before now sometimes i've come to realize not just only by prayers because the kind of boldness the possibility mindset things that we weren't believing god for we never knew that it could be possible but after that fasting and prayer that last night we left the place even in the night hours it was so clear to me that the journey has started and i really want to thank you sir because you ignited truly a secret in our hearts and i have made a covenant with god that this journey is going to be a lifestyle it's not just something we hit our own we're going to continue we're going to stay in it to get the results thank you sir by the anointing jesus breaks the youth by the holy ghost and power just as the prophet said this is the day of the lord god is moving in his car [Music] okay i saw someone like ocaro where did i see him yes please put a mic find him okay yes i saw him in the meeting so let them tell us what good morning sauger good morning sir thank you so much wow um there's certain encounters and meetings that cannot be explained to people it had to be experienced and this meeting was one of them we've fasted before we've read these books but this time around it was you know jesus said the word i speak to you they are life and their spirit uh beyond the the wonderful things about the reviews that happened one of the things that was so powerful for me was the tangible presence of god in that meeting because we had what wonderful worshipers so intermittently we go into this worship and the good of god fills the whole place and we'll be on our faces praying and worshiping god i began to see you know paul said you were inexcusable oh man i began to see that no pastor has any reason not to have a progressive work you have no reason not to have a big church uh you know in front of your location where you are posted you know so in that meeting i began to see what to do uh strategies to take to ensure that thousands come into the church this year and it's gonna happen the secret that we reviewed unto us the atomic power of fasting so we we we had i told my wife it's like you have a medicine in your shelf you never took it because we have these things in our chest all this while we didn't know okay so it was an eye opening for me and i made a promise to god i'm going to deploy this the power of the edges to come must be felt around me thank you so much sir wow you want this lesson yes please first hand here oh master thank you thank you thank you thank you i don't have words i don't have words to explain my experience this last week you know pastor john 1 14 came alive and the word was made flesh and dwelt among us he said and we beheld his glory it was so strong i mean the presence of god was so strong that just the way i'm touching my clothes right now you could practically feel it you could practice it was so strong a lot of people don't know that god can be touched that god can be seen that god can be felt he's a person like you a lot of people don't know that we live in this realm away from his realm and there is a way he said draw near to me and i would run at you there is a way to know this god you'll be hearing i'm talking about not by here say now experiential knowledge it will come you and him will meet go ahead sir and and you know i went with seven key prayer points and one of it was to behold jesus and that was accomplished and i was able to rediscover the the the importance of fasting properly i'm emphasizing that word properly it's not fasting when you're fasting you're you're talking anyhow you're watching tv no i was able to rediscover that that drew fasting properly and prayer and total obedience to god and repentance that you can accomplish anything you want to in this life and perhaps i can boldly say the next decade is secured and you know i i i went and i trusted god i said lord i want to hear from you i want to i want to behold your word for me for this season and exactly on the second day exactly 10 46 as we raise that incense of worship the word of god came and he said something to me is that i'm making you a man that fear me and a man that will express his kingdom in these last days he said disciple others and cause them to do the same thank you so much sir thank you thank you many of you have been in christianity you don't know how to hear from god you wonder when people are talking they are hearing you're wondering what it is i hope you're here people are getting personal messages from god direct you heard the other man those your ears will open up those eyes he said one of his goals i want to behold you he said that was accomplished it happened in your city now you didn't come now that's why we are letting those are when today oh lord my list your number and the head lagos i'm coming to your city that's end of january i'm coming i'm coming your pastor you're a general i say or whatever counsel whatever you're doing come and sit with us seven days you will be resurrected from death your ministry will come alive [Music] khanna men doing ministry khanna men cannot churches cannot christians it will end this importancy in modern day church will end this important prison will end if somebody is going to be have you given her my give her a mic good morning pastor good morning church you're welcome i said i wasn't going to talk i even told my husband but as i sat there the holy spirit said you just have to say something first of all i just want to thank you sir and i just want to thank god for attending the program because i work and then december and january is very hard to get a leave from work but you know i just sat in the office and i said let me just go and tell my boss immediately and when i went there he said what do you need a leaf or i said so it's personal he said okay you can apply just like that no problem and i thank god because i don't know something just broke when i got to the retreat i'll go the first day i'll go i'll go back i'll break the fast in the evening but the second day of the day lady jane said something she said they did a seven-day fast and i mean something broke and people start having children and i'm like i'm sitting here i've never done a three-day fast and i always break my fast maybe in the evening in the night and all that and i said to myself this is a human being like you and then when the book review was going on i was just seeing you know miracles the holy spirit is there talking to me those cold boys that used to disturb you at the back of your compound this is the power in your office you've been praying for people to change you've been praying that your office that people will change and then you've not been doing it the right way this is the right way you've been talking to them but you've not added fasting to it and it's not just fasting someone says something proper fasting fasting properly so when that thing came i told myself i mean food can wait there are results to be achieved and when i went back to the hotel that day i said i wasn't going to eat anything and as i'm talking to you to you today i decided i was going to do a seven day first i didn't even know i would have the strength to come to church but i'm standing here and i have the strength and i'm not eating food i decided i was i was going to stick to it the second day wasn't easy i felt like i was going to faint i came to the retreat center i was just seeing but i saw myself i'm seeing things i'm seeing this holy spirit is speaking to me telling me things that i should do you know before now i wasn't just you know but one of my prayers i want to hear you clearly god i want to start hearing you remove everything in my ear remove things that are making me not to hear you properly i want to hear you properly and it's beginning to happen i see the holy spirit telling me things and i'm writing it down thank you so much sir thank you thank you people don't know all this hunger hunger thing one day two days by the third day vanishes you are free you cannot go it's just a form of prison to hold us in the flesh [Music] yes let's let's let's you know yes yes [Music] good morning church good morning you're welcome um i want to thank you so much for organizing this retreat last year the retreat happened you know and i wasn't able to join but this year my leader kept telling me vivian you need to go you need to be there and because in december you know i got an instruction to claim my account i didn't have assuming do you think people are hearing her something has to happen okay i didn't have sorry i didn't have um money to go and then i also needed my younger sister to go you know but then i just said a short prayer and somehow god provided the fonts and went p like we've read that book before some time ago pastor knobs recommended it and we read it but when we got there the book really opened up to us we didn't understand what we were reading then he really opened up to us and then i had been praying i had been asking god i said take me back to the time when i really loved you to the time when i i was always yearning for you and it happened during this program the presence of god was everywhere it was so tangible it was so tangible my prayer life changed i started speaking in tongues that i have never spoken in before and it was amazing i was praying and i didn't want to stop i kept praying i kept praying and i could not even believe it that this was me praying for so long in tongues i'd not even understand but they were they were refreshing me you know and i just said thank you thank you sir thank you oh we're starting a prayer and fasting movement and you know for nigeria especially not in nigeria those of us who left there took a covenant for the next three years i don't mind saying this on public tv nothing nigeria is going to be transformed i will say it again the whole of northern nigeria will be transformed but we need a movement of christians all over all over in entering to cover and 24 hour prayer chain for the next three years and then this country will be transformed and god is now waiting for three years to start changing nigeria is going to be starting this year faith is going to change individuals it will change you first you see what is happening to people and then the thing will spread with you yeah yeah i saw hans yes yeah okay okay good morning good morning church um my own testimony started last year anyway because um pastor equipped us last year because you know what i we caught last year that is not um fascinating prayer is not just what you do on that january and stop so like um elijah st said um the engine met him eat for johnny's too far so that january we ate for johnny ahead we don't know when that corona is going to arrive in nigeria so pastor prepared us for what is going to happen in nigeria so a lot of challenges um happened to me in that last year so that i'm well equipped you know by the you know people who say because of fasting and breath people who see me say you you sleep you shrink and all that because i'm everywhere but before december before december all the prayers was answered because i was well equipped ahead so in this year again this january again i was busy soaking for the year ahead don't because we don't know what is going to come on earth so i'm busy soaking ahead thank you very much sir how many people can say all their prayer requests for 2020 was answered by december not many people can say that he said because he was part of the general fast of 2020 which prepared him and gave him control of the year and that's what he has gone again to do again okay yes i saw hans let me see yes yes let's pick the lady and then i'll come back to the to the men yes with all the corona all the lock down somebody still got all his prayer for 20 20 accomplished i'm glad it's not only me you're welcome good morning sir good morning everyone pastor i want to say big thank you to you for i don't have words enough um to say thank you for your leadership and for your covering i don't know what would have become of some of us thank you for yielding to the lord you know last year um we had this kind of background of you know the early the eighth and eighth and late 80s revival this fasting thing was introduced and but it wasn't with clear understanding we're just doing but i remembered sometime last year early january last year pmp he said that if you are able to take hold of three months of there was a prophetic war that if you're able to take hold of the next three months of the year the year is in your hands so myself and my friend were like okay if we take hold of three months the year is there but when we got back we started fasting of course we'll be fasting since i wrote down from that prayer and prophetic summit the things that i wanted to accomplish just like what we learned here and for those of you who are listening for home you don't need three months just control your january that's all you need your general seize it use it to set because 30 days is what you need to set up any new habits and in the spiritual realm the first fruit the gate of time is what you need to see january sees it and the rest of the year will lie see yes god held my dear so we set out early that january i wrote up the things that are supposed to do for the lord just like you taught us you know like what we learned during the um encounter retreat there is what god says to do that we know and there is you that is there to do it but the link between what god says to do and you is the power of the holy ghost so he said you will receive power after the holy ghost is come upon you and you'll be my weaknesses so there is like the scripture says that the flesh profited nothing that is a spirit that gives life so there is no way somebody will be able to accomplish is good to write things but the power to accomplish it is what we are talking about so when we went for that fasting of course i don't have big body and all that so people were telling me everything is disappearing i was looking very often i didn't care really i didn't care because i've always can slam people fast better listen to her so i didn't listen because you said if you're already on the ground there is no need i mean for me i used to say that food is i don't food is not very good as people look at it so we went for that retreat i wrote down things sir i want to thank you 2020 it was one of my best years so far the things i wrote down it was in that meeting you were talking about because you've taught us here when you came about the several mandate of the warrior princess but i've not been able to implement it it's once in a while i got that people we pray and i kept asking myself as we are entering the next decade you were listing down things that were to be done so i was asking myself which how are we going to drive this assignment and i remember that i was asking one of the days and thank you sir because most of the times when i come with questions i get answers from you whether he's in the church or in my dream one way or the other you'll come bringing the same word the same way that i had it so you said when i remembered you in in the new year leaders um platform you wrote that one of the places to get it done is in the place of prayer and raising other people not just you praying but raising other people to pray so i wrote down the things that i'm going to start um after that fasting that i'm going to start a group people don't are not always available physically we've been doing it like once in a while but i decided to now create a group on online and we started on whatsapp so we started like five persons and by the time we're in the year we're almost 80 persons and prayers was going on every single day there were times i would pray like four times five days five times in a day and i walk and the amazing thing is that everyone on that group have experienced unusual grace unusual fire it's been awesome and then through that same prayer group we launched a project in a community not far from here on the airport road for 10 to 18 years to mentor the girls and then all that that program is still ongoing and then the same last year i started a fellowship in my department in my office and i kept praying about it and when i look back i was supposed to send you a private message to say thank you sir when i look back those things were not something i struggle with and my responsibility my office was like 10 times more than it used to be but all these things because of the muzzle of prayer and fasting not just as individuals but a corporate prayer and fasting i saw that these things were not and i entered the year not even like thinking about my personal self sir as i think of something the things are coming to the tiniest of things the things are coming to my head to everything they are coming everything not everybody can say why you are thinking about something or just desiring it god is already doing it this is this is awesome this is awesome the same year that was a terrible year for many people you can see how people controlled 2020 fasting and prayer that's what you're going to do to this year and the remaining days of the last days so you work in the ministry and you are still able to do all this god need to do a little review yes praise the lord i thank god my life for 2020 and just 2021 since i was born i never see a miracle that i see in 2021 the miracle is that the last two weeks i was asleep in the night by two o'clock i see jesus appear on me and as jesus appeared on me jesus asked me a question he asked me what am i always calling church alone without coming with my family now i'll tell you your marriage yes sir i'm a man so you used to come to church alone without your family yes sir i leave that they are dead at home so because i'm at home yes sir because of transportation okay because of transportation yes sir so i told you though that because of transport that's why i know fee come with my family jesus told me that i should go i told my pastor she brought a vehicle to me it to you but i didn't have defeat to believe god for the city god spoke he said ask me for this city i will give it to you and in that city there are a lot of generous military generals navy air force and their children are into drugs there's an hospital there that they they keep some of them because of the drug addiction and recently one of them came to our church and that he loved dominion city he wants to be there because of the presence of god and all that and he took me to his house and the mother was down with a demonic event and other but i didn't know what to do because all this was i discovered i've been doing ministry in the flesh and one thing i don't like in my life is this issue of fasting i believe in prayer i believe in sacrifice i believe the issue of fasting i don't like it whenever we are too fast i fast from six to three or six to six and i break my fast sometimes i will say okay i will propose in my heart that okay i'm going to fast for three days maybe the first day by 12 i'm off and i forget about it but something happened this year i've been so determined when you announce this retreat i told i called all my brethren i told them that we are going on a fast and we started that very same day the first was announced and in our church in our chapter there we started praying every evening from 6 to 7 30 to last week so for me i told myself i'm not going to eat i'm going all the way and god has so much helped me and as we as i speak but since we started this first last week till now i have not eaten even when i was in the retreat i was giving food to i said no i'm fasting food so up till now even when i came back home yesterday my wife prepared asked me what are you going to i said i'm not going to eat but when i entered the kitchen i saw i perceived the aroma of what were coming i just heard myself the only thing i just told myself i said jesus help me holy spirit help me and he has helped me i didn't eat and i've proposed in my other i will not eat i i never believed that i could achieve this but why the review was going on during the retreat that aspect that they say in praying and fasting you gain spiritual authority with god and through that god enabled me i gained spiritual authority with god over the city i passed on so i asked him lord i'm ready all the way all the way i'm ready i'm ready i'm ready so i asked myself deliver the city to me because the technology to of taking city has been delivered to us through the prayer through a principle of praying and fasting thank you so much because god has been talking to me about my priesthood about my you say that everything you need is inside of you but i've been asking how how when you read the scripture how jesus was anointed with the holy ghost but nothing happened until he went too fast and when he came out of the fasting the power of god was unleashed and that is the experience god is passing me through now thank you sir thank you i'm so much grateful this was not how they fasted in acts of the apostles they will go too fast and they will carry a gallon of water but by the time you you do this six to six you come back load with a bar and the journey you know is like nothing happened and then last year pastor gave me some very prophetic words that you know i came i replayed it and replayed it things about betting people from all over the world prayer revolution he said and church is not a boundary so when i go back and every day i i i cut off that place where the prophetic word was so it was in my ear all over and over again so i didn't know how it was going to happen but something happened covey started saying that's okay god prophetic word has given kovid has happened so we have ended the matter but something happened one day we came pastor started online and we came and the holy ghost said to me he said covey this is happening has pastor stopped and i said how can i'm not pastor i don't have he said what is your phone doing and pastor i talked about prayer revolution that's how i opened up my phone i started prayer cells before you knew it 250 intercessors before you knew it we were praying you know and that prayer that fasting did something to me so every month i would do three days water first two times in a month three days whatever stood so the fact i i just it was amazing all of a sudden people send me thirteen upon the land of my people shall come upon tons and breasts ye open all the house of joy in the joyous city fourteen because the policies shall be forsaken the multitude of the city shall be was laughing as i was dropping another person called me they said my heart has blocked the passenger my heart said i said that heart needs to change by the ending of the day he was jumping off you somebody is praying lord i want to partake in the fellowship of your suffering that i may be made conformable unto his death god's highest calling and will for every believer is not for you to be an apostle for you to be a pastor for you to be an evangelist that's part of the call of god for people like me now i'm called into ministry that's not for you to be a marketplace person for you to be wealthy for you to be deeds for you to be like no no those things are the god's highest calling for every believer is romans 8 29. there are other things that he wants you to do but god's highest calling is romans 8 29 can we read it together one to go for whom he did for you he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his son that he might be the firstborn among many people god's highest calling for you highest will for you is so that you'll be conformed to the image of christ you become like jesus you become like him you become now an express image of him this can not be realized while you live a canner life and work as men men live in the outer court of christianity this should become your highest desire not to get money not to break through in business those other ones should be the jarrah that come after that i might be like you that i might be a reflection of you and to get you there some of what paul was praying for there will have to happen that i might be conformed unto his death there is a dying to self required in unveiling christ's glory in a man i love how john the baptist will say that i might decrease under he might increase fasting helps you accomplish that god's highest desire highest purpose for you is so that you be like jesus and this is what the world is waiting for now the manifestation of the sons of god so go back to that philippians 3 verse 10. so that's what drives men when you have that vision when you have that goal when you have that desire when that is the burning portion of your life then you start crying out like this man that i might know him because the scripture said is as we behold his image in a mirror we are transformed onto the same image from glory to glory to be like him the way we are transformed into his image is by beholding him we have to see him as he is when he returns the second time for us all those that see him will be transfigured to be like him that's how the resurrection and the rapture will come but now while we are living for him on earth those that behold him are made like him we all with an open face second corinthians 3 verse 18 beholding us in a glass the glory of the lord are changed into the same image from glory to glory even as by the spirit of god i had somebody's testimony this morning when he was going for the first among the seven things he wanted jesus that i might see you as you are and i might become like you it doesn't necessarily mean jesus appearing to you no beholding him as in a mirror the word of god will open up it will come alive the mirror of the scripture will be weakened and it can show you things that shouldn't be help you get rid of it and then show you what you are meant to be one of the things that happened in that place of that retreat is that god people started confessing their thing all sorts of things openly you needed to hear what was going on open because the glory came it excreted people people were on their faces and it's not human beings telling them to go on their faces philippians 3 verse 10 that i may know him the power of his resurrection and then i will be willing to share his sufferings for others for others that are lost for others that are so that they can also come to know christ being made conformable unto his death let's share those three principles there are three principles in that chapter three that we need to let's read reading from the book you know i'm so sad that you don't have the book in your hand because that's not how we do it this year you must have books there are strategic books and every month we will give you two new ones every month you must have them spectators in christianity is over you must have them you must do group studies you must team up with others those if you have the book fasting is a way that god himself has appointed for his people to humble themselves before him yes put up that psalm 35 verse verse 13. a lot of people have problems with pride problem with a goal problem with all sorts of things inside them one of the way scriptural way to break down the soul and this ego issue and a lot of other issues of the so bitterness all kinds of junk and humble your soul is faster as for me when they were sick my clothing was sacred i humbled my soul with fast ladies and gentlemen so when you read when you read ii chronicles chapter 7 from verse 14 if my people who are caught by my name shall humble themselves what the scripture is that trump is talking about there is fasting then you come also with humility if you want to change society chain nation fasting humble yourself seek my face pray and then turn from the wicked ways fasting will not walk if you there is no repentance fasting will know why you go ahead living in sin and misbehaving because there are people now listening to us and and these some of the problems we are having in nigeria and a lot of they say nigeria is a praying nation what type of prayer prayer that is not producing change in you will not change anything prayer must change you first you have you just you just do genuinely fast you are chasing somebody's wife you're degenerating fast you are still stealing you do genuinely you are still a corrupt politician you do genuinely you are still oppressing the poor no the fashion will not produce anything fasting goes along with repentance and humility and it's not just repentance telling god's soul it is turning away for your wicked ways so you see now if fasting is done right it produces a righteous people oh holy people for god people that are broken people that are humble fasting brings personal revival and then he can unlock revival in the society and in the church how can i church first and still be cannon how can a church fast and still be divisive they have not understood the principles i can men of god fast and they are still hateful they have not understood what fascinates [Music] if you want to unlock the power of heaven first in your own soul and then out there your circumstances or in the society or in the church will come to god with humility i humbled my soul with the faster put it up psalm 35 13 you let go break down all the junks that are your inside those things that have hindered his glory from flowing through you [Music] you see this small book and this one the atomic power of god this too small book can start a revolution you like find it i don't care where you find it find it all running into dominance will help you if you will not follow the examples we are setting for you we're setting right just examples for you we're not just telling you we're doing it if you'll not follow the examples of jesus and his disciples because we're not creating our own examples it's their footsteps that we're working in if your christianity will not include obeying christ it is useless he said when you go make disciples of our nation teaching them to obey all the things i have taught you all things whatsoever i've commanded you that's christianity that is authentic so this year your christian life must change that's the starting point before we want to come fasting i want to break through move to another level in my business you know all these things we do in nigeria at the end of the day the country is getting worse churches are getting vaccinated and they are fasting what type of fast is that there is an acceptable fast my friend if fasting is done right it will heal families heal marriages it will unite families it will spark a revival in your home because you will change that your madam will change your children will change you do it like the church will change [Music] the secrets of acts of apostle will be unlocked so the starting point is not the external work what the holy spirit will do through you under the beginning is what the holy spirit would do in you the beginning is the transformative work that this does this unlocks in the life of a person who engages in it my god himself has appointed for his people to humble themselves before him jesus himself practiced fasting and taught his disciples to do the same the new testament church followed the example of their master when jesus spoke about fasting he did not say if you fast but when you fast okay let's leave that and go to page 28 so that we can get the mechanism the mechanics the dynamics uh the technology of fasting when it comes to personal change personal transformation let's get to it there are three major principles involved yes okay so now we want to deal with the mechanics of fasting by seeing how fasting changes the inner personality the first thing we need to see with absolute clarity from the scripture is this the power that makes the christian life possible is the holy spirit everybody write that one down because there are three keys you're going to write down the first one you need to see is that the power that makes christianity possible is the holy spirit i'm going to say it differently the power that makes the christian life possible is the holy spirit and then of course if you also want to talk about ministry the power that also makes the christian ministry or service possible is the holy spirit whether it is living the life or doing the works of christ the holy spirit so that's why there is the inner walk of the holy spirit and there is also the spiritual pawn which comes upon you for service he now walking or the holy spirit in the believer is what we are discussing now so you want to live holy you're weak you want to be a better person you are not able what you need to discover is that inner power that makes man conquer the weaknesses of their flesh and their fallen nature there are some of us we have we want to do this we have a lot of good things in our heart we end up failing you want to control your anger so you keep walking in the flesh walking in that canary and your life is you leave it in a realm of defeat no this is the year now it's going to end can i hear an amen it's time to move into victoria's life there is a secret to that yes go ahead man no other power can enable us to live the kind of life that god requires of us as christians it cannot be done in our own will or in our own strength it can only be done in dependence on the holy spirit therefore the key to successful christian living is knowing how to release the power of the holy spirit in our lives everybody write it down the key to successful christian life christian living is knowing how to unlock or release the power of the holy spirit in our lives in our own lives first and the reason for failures and defeats in christian life is inability to walk in the spirit put up galatians 5 16. let everybody see this i said then walk in the spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh so you see people that are dominated by lost by their cannon nature by these sinful desires there is a problem there is a spirit-led life there is a spirit-filled life there is a spirit empowered living that they don't know so they live fleshly controlled life cannot driven life and that's where the defeat is they are controlled by sinful desires but their heart yearns for a holy life yearn for a higher life they even believe us that i've given up thinking that holy living is not possible that victorious life is not possible who told you that's why you read your bible you read the life of christians they look it look like they're in another world for you now it's time for that gap to be bridged yes go ahead sir because we don't have time we need to move fast jesus made this clear to his disciples after the resurrection before he ever released them to go into ministry of their own in acts 1 verse 8 he said but you will receive power when the holy spirit comes on you and you will be my witnesses in jerusalem and in all judea and samaria and to the ends of the earth that is acts 1 verse 8 he said in effect in order to do what i've called you have charged you to do you are going to need power greater than your own that power will come from the holy spirit don't go and begin to minister until that power of the holy spirit has come to you okay so see when it comes to ministry again or christian life at christian ministry you want to help people you want to help the sick or maybe things are happening in your family you had people's testimonies today your mother this is happening your mother your brother you want to help them you can't in the flesh so this is what jesus said to do what jesus has asked us to do we need the power of the holy spirit he said in john chapter 2 40 verse 12 the works that i do you shall do and greater works than this because i go to my father jesus said we can do greater works to even do the one he did you have to have the power he had the power that made him do it was the power of the holy spirit where he was 15 no miracle 16 no miracle 18 20 25 no miracle you wouldn't see where he healed anybody you will see where he set one mad person free you will see where he cast out one devil 28 nothing 29 19 29 and a half nothing when he clocked out he went john baptized him then he got filled with the holy spirit but he now went for 40 days fast it was when he came out of that fasting miracles broke out everywhere that's what people are discovering there is no difference his disciples did the same thing miracles broke out everywhere his disciples did 10 days fast after he ascended he told them to tarry the world history in jerusalem nobody went home they stayed there in john max for 10 days carry until he says stay there until [Music] and what they were doing there is implementing the book of joel chapter 2. and if you get that jewel said confess solomon assembly declare a fast blow the trumpet inside look at what jewel said to do sanctify a fast call for a solomon something that's what they were doing at the upper room and then the promise of jewel is that afterwards i'll pour out my spirit upon off after what should be the question he said afterwards after what after you have made this condition you blow the trumpet inside that simply means teach it teach this thing that's why we are blowing the trumpet here now we are sounding the alarm for you and teaching you then he says sanctifier first call for a selling assembly jesus told them to stay there and they did they followed the book of jewel until they got to verse 28 and i will pour out my spirit upon all flesh and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy and that's what happened to them fire fell on everybody go and ask those when they retreat this is not just one or two everybody everybody children children came in contact with the tangibility of the holy spirit the tangibility of the glory of god fire fell upon everybody ten days so we are challenging you seven days this week you know another week this week and don't just go sit at home where you'll be facing temptation with fried rice i'm fried no no join some people somewhere it could be your family together it could be a cell group it could be fine if there is nobody to join start one group there that's where you are that's what we are saying you can start an online group safe so to live the life you need the power of the holy spirit to do the works you need the power of the holy spirit romans chapter 8 verse from verse 12 and 13 yes write the scriptures i'm calling i have called galatians 5 16 and 17 i'm calling romans 8 12 and 30. yes therefore brethren we adapt us not to the flesh to live after the flesh for if you live after the flesh you shall die but if you through the spirit do modify the deeds of the body you shall live so the body the appetite the loss of the can be controlled it can be modified you know what modification is see what they do to bodies they bring to mutual they inject all kinds of chemicals into the body and then that helps to freeze that body so it can't decay it can't petrify all this decay that has been going on in you some people are getting rotten even though they are answering christians character moral failures we need to inoculate you with holy spirit power inner power to you motiva and modify means to put to death put to death the loss of the flesh you modify the deeds of the body you shall live and how do you do if through the spirit you modify the needs of the body yes go ahead compare this with the words of paul in ephesians where he is speaking primarily about the power in prayer ephesians 3 verse 20 yes go ahead now unto him that is god who is able to do immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine according to his power that is as walk within us so there is power at work within us and is able to do more than we can ask or think or imagine yes go ahead paul says what god can do far exceeds the highest that we could ever think or imagine but it depends on his power at work in us the extent of what god can do through us does not depend on our thinking or imagining it depends on his supernatural power being released in us and through us okay so we've seen that the power of the holy spirit is the driving force for christian living for effective christian life we've seen that and we've seen that it's also the enabling power or force behind effective ministry now we now see principle number two why many people don't have that power operating in them yes go ahead okay seeing this we can now move to the next key fact of scripture the old canon nature opposes the holy spirit the very essence and character of the old nature is such that it does not yield to the holy spirit it is in opposition to the holy spirit in the new testament this cannon nature what we are by nature before we are transformed by the new birth is called the flesh this time does not say so now before we go you see now that there is another power nullifying the power of the spirit in the believer the power of the holy spirit is like aerodynamic power like what makes an aircraft fly but it's another power that that power must overcome is gravity gravity is one that can crash that plane and for many christian that gravitational pull of the flesh is the the cannon nature the falling nature what we inherited from adam is keeping them here it's not enabling them to fly enabling them to live a higher life he's keeping them bound keeping them did you we didn't hear testimonies of addictions in this service you need to hear what happened in the retreat people addicted to all sorts of things were broken it's even a guy that sent me his own his own is immorality and pornography he said he broke on the third day third day we have people eat cases of cigarettes cases of also we break addiction breaks from around the third day of fasting try it this see now this is the first miracle of a fasted life it's not even before we start talking about what god will do is you the the man changing to become who god has called you to be so the second key here is that there is a counter power that opposes the work of the holy spirit in the believer of course let's see it immediately galatians 5 16-17 yes possible galatians 5 16-17 this i said then walk in the spirit and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh for the flesh lusted against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh and these are contrary the one to the other so that you cannot do the things that you would yeah when you really think in gems like there is flesh lusted against the spirit spirit against the flesh these are contrary to each other give me a niv read for the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the spirit and the spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature they are in conflict with each other so that you do not do what you want that's why people set goals they want to be better persons they are not able to do it they have good plan they fail if people can back up new year resolution with new year fasting life will be better and like we said fasting properly these things are contrary okay look at this translation read possible the sinful nature wants to do evil which is just the opposite of what the spirit wants and the spirit gives us desires that are opposite of what the sinful nature desires these two forces are constantly fighting each other these two forces are constantly fighting each other so you are not free to carry out your good intention you see why people have good intentions they fail yeah the flesh messes them up read a little more on that principle page yeah go ahead 30 page 30 was trying to explain what the flesh is yes the flesh this time does not simply mean the physical body it is the entire nature that we inherited by descent from our first father adam who was a rebel in other words looking somewhere in every one of us there is a rebel that is the canal nature you see locking somewhere in every one of us is a rebel we inherited from our first parent that rebelled against god and that thing is there you know what god wants but you still go ahead and do the one you want and do things that break his heart and do things that harm even you there the thing is how many you stop now stop that cigarette smoke stop that drug stop that womanizing so people are imprisoned to the cannon nature the cannon nature is a nature of rebellion against god i think we need to read it romans chapter 8 verse 7 yes when we call these scriptures write them down yes romans chapter 8 verse 7 yes for the sinful nature is always hostile to god he never did obey god's laws and it never will he's always always hostile to god he never did obey god's laws and he would never win no give me another translation king james because the khana mind is enmity against god for it is not subject to the law of god neither indeed can be the cannon nature is inanemity is enemy of god as long as you are living in that realm you see your state is an enmity against god it is not subject to the law of god neither indeed can it cannot it's a nature of said it's a nature of rebellion and they can't so this is the war we find ourselves how do you subdue it is the question now if your child your greatest desire is to please him and this yielding to the cannon nation is what gives back to what is called the fruits the loss of the flesh the works of the flesh there are many galatians chapter 5 verse 19 listed them 19 21 read them pastor ben now the works of the flesh are manifest which are this adultery fornication uncleanness lasciviousness idolatry witchcraft hatred variants emulations rot strife seditions heresies verse 21 endings murders drunkenness revelings and such like of which i i tell you before and as i have told you in time past that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom these are the things that send people to hell these are the things that keep people if rapture because they will make it those that do paul say i warned you i'm warning you about it that those that do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of god so this cannon to keep people bound in the flesh living in this realm please nlt read it again 19 to 21 give me that translation when you followed the desires of your sinful nature the results are very clear sexual immorality impurity lustful pleasures idolatry sorcery hostility some people call it quarry water yes quarreling jealousy outbursts of anger they can control the anger quarreling jealousy hostility yes selfish ambition some people are so selfish yes dissension decisions you can't get them to agree with others go continue envy drunkenness wild practice some people are born again they say go to parties they go to clubs see drink they say they come to church they go to such places yes go ahead and other things like this and the other ones the list continues yes let me tell you again as i have as i have before that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the kingdom of god do you see [Music] anybody living that kind of life will not inherit the kingdom of god and so you see that the flesh is not just the body bodily appetites are included but a lot of them are the soul look at look at anger loss jealousy is it the body is in your soul the fallen nature in the soul yes let's go ahead uh you were reading you know when i'm pitched at one that is very clear yes that is very clear and important the carnal nature is in opposition to the spirit of god if we yield to the cannon nature we are opposing the spirit of god but if we are going to yield to the holy spirit we must deal with the cannon nature because as long as the cannon nature controls and operates through us what we do will be in opposition to the holy spirit not just the holy spirit to the word of god too you know yes this applies not only to our physical desires but it also applies to what the bible calls the khana mine which is the way the old kana unregenerates nature thinks go down to where he said these are strong words yes okay this okay okay read that the kind of mind is enmity against god romans itself yes okay in roman x 7 the bible said the khanam mind is in enmity against god for it is not subject to the law of god neither indeed can be go ahead these are strong words paul is using he says the flesh opposes the holy spirit he says the fleshly mind is in enmity against god it is not neutrality there is no suggestion that somehow the cannon nature and the cannon mind can be persuaded to do the will of god it is impossible the kind of mind by the very nature is enmity against god okay um we now go to the third principle that's page 33 okay because we have to close yeah now yes okay um if we are going to come into the subject if we are going to come into subjection to the holy spirit and if the holy spirit is to operate through us with freedom then the cannon nature must be brought into subjection to the holy spirit we must okay first corinthians chapter 9 25-27 first of all read 27 let everybody see it first verse 27 but i keep my body up and bring it into subjection less that by any means when i have preached to others i myself should be a cast away energy [Music] this what paul said this is how he lives so usually you find interest you need to what they call it mortifying the deeds of the body want to find the body they bring the falling nature under control and fasting aids you in that process not just fascinating fascinating prayer jesus was talking about these words okay he said pray that he enter not into temptation for the flesh is weak but the spirit is willing he was telling his disciples prayer empowers you not to be controlled by the flesh yes yes first corinthians 9 27 i discipline my body like an outlet training need to do what issued otherwise i fear that after preaching to others i myself will be disqualified so let's look at verse 25 26 people who train for sports who want to win world championship in any type of sport discipline their body you see people who are into singing doing you know want to be world class in their music industry there are some things they don't eat some stay away from oily food because of their voice there is there are things that tamper with your voice whatever your your fear is you know what it is that go against it people in sports know how they have to exercise how to discipline the body the body wants to sleep they have to get up to exercise they put their body through certain discipline and this is the same thing look at how some are boxes some are doing heavy weight lifting it's the same thing if you want to be spiritual you have to have this fleshly nature under control you can't leave it wise to be doing whatever it likes it will make you cannot you will be useful and at the end of the day you'll be disqualified yes read from verse 25. all athletes are disciplined in their training and they do it to win a prize that we fade away but we do it for an eternal prize so i run with purpose in every step i am not just shadow boxing yes 27 i discipline my body like an athlete training need to do what it should otherwise i fear that after preaching to others i myself might be disqualified so fasting doesn't only help you to humble your soul first it helps you to discipline your body fasting is training in the act of temperance temperance is the key to all the other fruit of the spirit temperance is self-control is the fruit of the spirit is self-discipline he's getting control over your appetite over your or your body and fasting is training his cultivation of temperance is cultivation of self-control self-discipline and then that particular gift or of fruit or virtue helps you to cultivate all the other godly virtues because now it's food you're getting under control but you get it under control you get sexual appetite under control you get the egg under control you get all that is greed under control you get all these things that make people that are not able to be useful in the hand of god they get it under control there are four levels of spiritual growth when you start fasting and the first three days to four days the hood of food breaks you won't be hungry again you won't even feel tired again when you start first two days your body will be fighting home you will look like if i don't eat now i'll die third day it leaves you alone he'll even even weakness you won't feel you get to around fifth day appetite for sex and other goals you move further the ego and whatever you know the one for money a sexy possession materialism breaks you move further the last break is the one for ego pride it breaks you become broken you become you will see yourself and as you go you'll be seeing things in you that you didn't know you didn't know how bad they were because the light of his glory comes you see how undisciplined that your body is that one you don't need to go for within the first 24 hours to third thought of us you see how you will be behaving like a pampered baby just three days all the food you've been eating all your life just that you don't for three days your body will be behaving like he wants to die girl no somebody's eating granola pasty will look like you have not eaten it before you hear fried planted so that was that's why we take people on a retreat where they don't hear at all jesus left and went to the wilderness after the first three days the hold of food breaks after the first four or five days the hold of sex breaks you move further it is greed this accessible so you cannot have money and money is nothing you're a giver many of what are bowed and held by possession held by canality fashion then the last to break is pride in the soul you notice that jesus was tested on these three principle advices when he said that first [Music] you will meet the battles with them then you break through then the glory of god god becomes tangible the glory of god will rest upon you you will not know god and that level you we didn't even after you break the three days something will break oh this the bible will open up even the same book i'm reviewing here now you are just listening to me now when you start reading on that fasted it will open things with the word of god will be jumping out then the holy spirit will start ministering to you you start hearing him clear your inner faculties will come alive you see that this flesh has been ringing you has held you captive personally little my time is up so here is paul's onwards his own account of how he struggled with his cannon nature and how he gained victory over it paul describes this truth in terms of an athlete going into training for victory in athletics everyone who competes no go down paul realized okay paul realized that he had to bring his carnal nature into subjection if he was going to succeed in his divine calling this leaves every one of us with a question what is the master [Music] which is the servant in israel that's the question which is the master in your life and which is a servant which one the cannon nature or the spirit of god which is running your life yes is the body the master and the spirit just the slave or the spirit the master and the body the servant i will tell you this your body makes a wonderful servant but a terrible master okay so to tilt the battle to tilt the battle and give the holy spirit the preeminence faster fasted life you subdue the flesh there's a lot other things we're going to look at later in the year when we get to discipleship from month of uh uh february on this issue of ruling deflation so so fast fasting that's one of the first thing that fasting does for you it first helps you get your own life in order get your flesh under control get your soul humble get you into a broken state and be become a strong christian every christian and then it can now do all the other wonderful things because it's then that the holy spirit can flow through you and the power of god can be made available to you this is where we're going to end today because time you know have you learned something today how many of you want to move to another level to your christian life and you see now when the flesh is broken when this the hardened candle is broken then the glory can be revealed through the man the power of god can flow through you to change your world [Music] i want to say this to pastors and christians all over this country and all over the world there is a way to fast to produce a new society a new church a brand new to unlock revival in the church and the great awakening in the society that type of prayer i'm fasting must first deal with our own self deal with the flesh deal with the wickedness and the saints in our lives so fasting goes with repentance goes with humility and goes with self-humbling self-abusement and allowing god to walk in the man not just fasting to obtain our needs of course that's part of it everyone bother your hands and talk to the lord pray like paul that i might know him the power of his resurrection give me the grace to get involved in this fast this week give me that empowerment of the spirit give me that discipline like paul to get involved and like i always say if you stumble get up and continue give me that grace i want to join others around the world i want to join believers around the world give me that enablement lord [Music] help me not only to do it alone but to start raising other people into a lifestyle of prayer i'm fasting help me strengthen me now to become that person i will spread the fire of revival this fire of prayer the fire of fasting the fire of discipleship obedience to god's word everywhere i go that's the covenant that's what commitment you need to live with here first to become the person you need to stop practicing to to help spread it to other christians and other people that are not even safe you bring them to salvation you start grooming them [Music] um can i get these prayer requests on the chapters that are starting on monday that whole monday they structure to do a 24-hour change by the next day another chapter not just chapter regions we regeneralize the ministry for instance i can't give you some of them offered but for abuja and the northern region our day is friday so that friday starting from you know 12 a.m or is it pm 12 a.m to 12 p.m in the night there will be chain prayers so we are going to structure how that will happen there are people who will pray who have time or to pray in the morning you have certain hours you know that will be done so that structure is what one of the things we're going to work out this this the whole of this week before friday we're going to give you that whole structure and then every one of us will have a specific day an hour or set of hours within that 24 hours when you pray amen amen now you heard what pastor was saying and he said it on air that the whole northern nigeria would be transformed that it was actually a prophecy that came and it wasn't just from pastor and the key to it is this thing this fasting and prayer and so we as a ministry took up a commitment to drive that because prophecies don't just happen
