Githyanki Inquisitor Honor Mode Mechanic - Baldur's Gate 3

okay we are here with another uh honor mode legendary action boss fight I don't know what we're calling this uh we're fighting this guy here uh chi Waz we're fighting the GTH yanki Inquisitor all right um now I have heard that he can be an like an honor mode run Ender like he can just just destroy you he was already kind of a tough fight uh in just normal tactician mode now he's got legendary resistance this is the first time I've seen legendary resistance on one of these bosses uh so in regular DND uh legendary resistance is just like three times you can just be like nope I succeeded the saving throw this one it's plus 10 so it's technically not as good but it may as well be the same CU you get a plus 10 to a saving throw like also all his stats are good like he's GNA succeed that saving throw um and with the way the game works it probably will only use one if it succeeds and he's got this Parry that all the G I think most of the gith Yan here have that where they can just boom reduce damage by 10 it's very good uh then this is the new thing well I guess that's also a new thing but this is the new thing that scares me uh twice per round uh Inquisitor wargas can spend a legendary action to summon a mind claw of Tarth after he or his allies are struck while the claw strikes W wargas May mind steel link with a Target not already affected by this condition I'm pretty sure mind steel link is the thing he does where he attaches to everybody and then he gets like I think plus one AC and maybe plus one attack rolls I don't know um but he can do that like to everybody after doing this so the mine claw of Tarth are the things that he summons um it's just a big psionic blade lasts for 10 turns I don't know how much damage they do um but I do know that these things are going to have 30 health and resistance to basically everything I don't know if they have anything they're weak against but they they're not super difficult to kill but they're also not like easy to kill and you can just summon them twice a turn whenever he or his allies are struck not even like oh when you kill somebody it's just you hit someone and he can summon it then mind steel link is one of his other abilities uh yeah receives a minus two penalty on its armor class and is vulnerable to psychic damage uh condition ends when it damages TR yeah so um with that in mind with how overpowered he is uh just how hard this fight normally goes I have a backup plan sort of um and my backup plan is this is the Rune powder barrel uh which I mean everybody's like oh you got to save it for this that I'm like I I usually just don't use it most runs so like yeah I'll just use it here um yeah that that's I'm just going to use it here I need to actually switch those around um now I did as you can tell by this if you know where equipment is I did go into Act 2 a little bit get some stuff um mostly to level up to level seven before killing Grim um I remember the last time I did a video on this fight I was at level seven so I know I can get to level seven but I also didn't go into act two so I don't know I might have missed something maybe a patch note or maybe just honor mode in general gives less XP I don't know um we're going to change up the equipment here a little bit but first we're going to level up cuz once you get some radiating orbs going she's going to get reverberation Stacks going and that's going to cause them to get knocked down probably um and then once they are knocked down because of her Barbarian subass um she will uh where is it uh tiger heart will let her use Tiger's blood lust which makes people bleed and then she has this aspect of the Wolverine when she attacks a bleeding or poison Target I also MIM them for one turn so if I can knock them down and MIM them they cannot get up because MIM lowers their movement speed to zero and getting up takes half their movement speed so if you can MIM them and knock them prone uh they're they're just stun locked basically now I would normally talk to him start combat that way but I genuinely don't think we'll survive from what I've heard about this fight with him uh depending on how this goes you know maybe next time I do this I'll be a little bit less overly cautious uh for right now uh I'm going to be super cautious and maybe and have the hands throw like Alchemist fire or something to get things going with that uh that's not what I wanted I wanted to throw him sharp as ever will uh enlarge I call her Carl enlarge LEL again and then lelle uh yeah just uh I was going to have her throw him into there okay whatever uh lelle let's just uh let's let's let's get in here okay with me so uh first thing I'm going to do which probably should have done just a little bit ago is yeah let's let's give everybody bless okay and blade Ward yep um battle favors The Fearless yeah yeah let's let's see making my move I was going to do fear but maybe I should have Shadow heart do that since she actually has let's see what can do here let's go into a rage and let's see let's see how these M claws do all right where did it oh it's right there okay okay need to stay focused yeah let's let's let's Hast it via potion because I don't want to lose concentration oh that hastened the claw too I I do not like that all right but now she gets two more attacks let's okay so now he has four radiating orbs on him he's maimed okay okay I didn't see any reverberation got to move this is my um out let's start off with L going and then let's topple this guy that that is unfortunate okay and then will can you hit both of them I don't know what his odds are um and nothing command oh oh 80% % chance easy that doesn't affect allies right okay beautiful beautiful okay and then we'll just rub salt in the wound there a little bit okay so now is when I get a little bit worried but all my guys are going top of the order we got two people you are feared so if you know [ __ ] hits the fan I should be able to just blow him up yeah what do these things have uh okay so they are resistant to everything and then they're immune to poison and psychic ethereal effected en inum can't be shov thrown or used as an improvised weapon and then they get opportunity attack okay so I I may as well I think because he's got that mind steel link yeah now he has one extra AC and an extra dfor psychic damage for everybody he's connected to yeah yeah so we all right so we can distract this thing over here okay um let's have Shadow heart yeah just you know nuke them down nuke is a strong word for that um and then she can heal up will a little bit the only one who took any real damage on the mo and she can get opportunity attack I don't care now if she can okay and Su another thing he is maimed these are not stacking reverberation are they I don't see any reverberation okay there's four reverberation right there okay this is my time all right uh see probably cuz that one's real yeah cuz it's too close uh we can that yep and then you know I don't even think I I I think I really over uh estimated this actually if I just do this you know what you know what let's just nuke him down or nuke him up I guess death's gr all right so if Starion comes over here and just smack this why is Shadow heart is she okay it looked like she was getting affected by the shriek and I was very confused keep guessing all right uh let's try to stun her or just straight up kill her that works too for my purposes um and then we can shoot him yeah this really isn't that bad like I I heard it was a run Ender and all this other stuff this isn't too bad these things better go away now if they don't go away when he dies then yeah it's going to be annoying cleanup but even then I don't think this is going to be too bad impressive resistance file I also don't know how much damage these things deal I I saw them de like yeah they've been missing a lot all right um let's have her get down here so we can get everybody with it re up that bless and then is she she's not concentrating on anything right now she's person she can try oh yeah he's dead did he already use his legendary resistance maybe maybe the reverberation he used legendary resistance or something on I don't know uh anyway we're going to have will try to clean up these guys got 15 uh yeah I mean I already used the stuff that's just go and that leaves just the swords and The Inquisitor am that was really overhyped to me online and now I feel silly for how much for how much prep I put into it granted you know it's it's as easy as because I put a lot of prep into it but I feel like even without the prep it wouldn't have been as insanely dead as it was you know as I was led to believe and yeah um yeah so that was that fight I really over prepped and uh you know hyped up that fight a little bit more in my head than I guess I should have uh yeah that was chaai w war gz uh you get another GTH Yan great sword if you haven't already got one yet that one's actually really good uh yeah you get some stuff anyway uh that's it for this one uh sorry I kind of dragged out at the beginning I really thought those swords and him doing stuff I thought it was going to be a lot harder uh but he was kind of kind of a disappointment if I'm not if I'm being honest little little upsetting on how easy that was uh but I will see you guys in the next one next one we're going to be doing Grim uh I would have done Grim in this one in the same video but I really wanted to try and hit level seven I didn't want to lose the wars Lord's Radiance
