assalam alaykum hi uh in this tutorial we will tell about River crosssection how we will transfer this uh uh river cross section to ha cross for further processing uh for this uh transferring and for this processing we will need two other softwares one is a HEC juras and second is a HEC Ras HEC juras is used in GIS as you will see in this menu last menu in which Ras geometry Ras mapping and other components are uh here this is a he churas uh which cor of engineer websites these are all available for free so uh this will download from dat website and hross is other software and that will also download from uh us arm core of engineer websites so in this video uh First We Take DM file and from dim file we will take Riv crass section by 10 command and uh after that we will use uh heas menu for River crosssection river banks River Direction and river flow and after dat this data will be transferred to heas uh from G and that will be exported so now we will start from dmire so add data uh projected as file now this is a DM file now go to AR toolbox 3D anist and from roster to 10 and this uh this is input traser so this is the uh data project srtm file and this is the uh G name 105 okay save and this is the Z tolerance if this value is lesser then the um the result will be clearly this is 10 command so by by 10 command we will take R crosssection you will clearly see uh in the D file that this is the r crosssection so 10 command is uh used for the uh G referencing to take Riv crosssection now go to your properties of 10 command and add uh face elevation with graduated color ramps select this one to more clearly show in the screen and this H side effect remoted so this is the required 10 file now go to 10 properties and remove the uh takech mark from elevation so apply and and okay now we will lastri and uh create stream Center Line okay now let's create stream Center Line here R symmetry create Bank Bank lens this is actually uh for shape piles to create shape pile and by that shape P we will uh draw the cross-section and Riv Banks Riv Center Line these all are the uh actually is the shape files L paths and cross cut lines cross-section cut lines okay start Ed start editing and go to create features and select R shape pile and uh by line you will specify the center line of for this is roughly so only for tutorial so this is the center line of R now after that uh Save Editor and save and uh stop editing now for banks so go to select Banks and buy L land we will draw the banks of river this is a small uh part of R cble okay so this is this is the Bank of r now save it and um stop editing now uh after this start editing and take uh cross cut lines crosssection lines uh shape pile flow paths so now take flow paths first and this is the uh flow Path High elevator from the river banks because when flood coming so the flow path is more than R Banks this is the flow Path stop editing and save edit now view names that is Center Line This is the r cabble reach one this is the reach one go to the banks and take uh this is the show this sign show the river and right and left bank so this is the Left Bank from Upstream so okay and other is a right Bank from Upstream side okay now go to start Ed uh editing and take the cross cut Lines by create features cross cut lines and draw the crosssection lines and so on by this crosssection lens uh the um HEC churas will take the elevation of different uh sections that right Bank elevation Left Bank elevation Center and uh All Points uh on the this crosssection lines elevation will take by heas and then will be transferred to heas for next processing thetri stream centrer line attribute topology so this create R topology this will actually uh take data from the uh DM file and 10 shape 10 file of this name file okay and this is the processor to take yes elevation okay and after that this will converted to 3D features now this is the r reach after date is a stationing at at different crosssection this take the stationing and B stations at the bank of rers and now go to H down stream reach length Okay elevation okay export R gometry export retry so this will export to uh uh this data will be exported and we will save in a folder and then this data will be transfer to the hross so now you will see this and this data will be save and any folder you will you can save it name file name then this is a file name in which this data will be stored this is almost uh done wait for some time no yes exported successfully and this is done close it and now this will also close it and go to hack cross and byass take geometric data and find and import geometry data from GS format so next where you save it that file so take it and this is the required file so take it and import it next next and this is automatically take T data and finish import data this is the required crosssection and across uh and this is the floow direction uh reach one reach one and this is the this is the elevation uh and uh stationing and red lines and other component Alo let go to crosssection and you will see the river crosssection at different Tre a different reduce distance
