[Music] [Music] good morning guys what's going on today we are spots accurate today's the first day reopening then we got crazy weather going on right now it's like 50 degrees in this sprinkling and it's kind of chilly and the wind supposed to pick up at today goes out to get a little rougher but right now not too bad we got some Brian Bates in this we got for bait I'm talking like this big you know using a bait like that you're gonna catch something really big yeah yeah we got four giant real after it 130s big rods never done any kind of fishing like this before so I'm super stoked wish us luck where'd you go babe all right so we just dropped the anchor Jim we're in what like 130 feet of water here he'll drop down the Savini we're trying to get some bait here think you got a little matter to little maggots check those babies out Oh all right Pilsen it's too small time drop back down need a big ones I've never caught these before some people that's all they want to do all that your honor Allen come on pubic what the cool max okay I've seen him a lot of pictures and videos of owner right certainly not party Aveda getting them bit so fast we can afford to be really selective [Music] the depth control the Dethklok slide rubber band is a stopper so that's our second beat going out we have one blue fish out and that we just put out a second baked which is the mackerel [Music] so now if we hook one we just ditch the inker right you only come back for it later no that's the reason for that ball they anchor like floating some guys just recently it was on my buddy's boat they had a charter so they put five bucks on the deck and he said if he biked the head off you'd have to fight a whole thing up to the foot yep but as you were reeling it in yeah well Tyler if L had Jezreel didn't the line to check her seaweed literally had brought two in we're just sitting in the back of the boat and we're real third one and to the rods that were writing is the boat the two rods that were right next to the boat went off one popped off like and now we have one fish on we don't know what it is yet though what are you leaning towards - well we gotta fill thing needs to shark entire thickness let's he does a real big run [Music] we don't have a little line now right no actually swivel 25 feet down below better get a look at it here lower oh I see it no it's a tuna it's a tuna it's a little tuna I got I got a first look at it and it is a hundred percent of hooking up smaller bluefin what they say is a short [Music] [Music] look full brookster Wow the hook just pulled but it was too small to keep anyway so we were just gonna let it go so technically that was the best release we could have done with it didn't find it for very long that was pretty crazy nice release leader so that captain's a catch my brace bloopers lupin hook made for a nice release that one they have to be 73 inches to be able to keep them and he'll just guess that it was probably around 55 so we had to release many ways but yeah 73 is the commercial minimum and below that's rec we got at the same time Winston the light onto your reel but did you see how that was caught as they're bringing to check the baits here's where they both hooked up and then the pink flute which we're both mackerel actually both the macro by Ian and then the bluefish was still out there they were just they were about to bring the blue fishes to check the bait to make sure it didn't have seaweed on it great both of them popped off we had a double on it that was it that was a seventy four and a half inch we ended up getting off of the anchor to chase that fence down and that we just picked up the entry again so what they'll do is we have the boat tied off to the anchor and they'll have a ball on the anchor so that way when you do hook up a fish like that fish was smaller and it didn't run a lot but a giant one they said we'll take half a spool three-quarters of a spool and Lake is that so you just unhook your anchor line and leave it floating and then you come back to it later on because time is of the essence when you hook a big one so now we're getting ready to put our rods back out we've been watching whales come up all day all around the boat and they haven't gotten very close and one just came up right next to the side of the boat and we thought it was gonna come back up again somewhere close but I haven't seen it yet but it blew a bunch of bubbles and they blow a bunch of bubbles to like chase up the bait right I think what did I blow the bubbles for around the baby yeah to disorient the bait so that then they compete and that's what they did was blow a bunch of bubbles by the boat but it hasn't came back up again [Music] bubbles [Music] that's behind your print for a humpback whale if they take pictures of the flutes and you can identify that was like all white was like a black perfectly black out the mouth is whatever here coming right at it they're right here he's going [Music] we're just living it up out here sausages burgers clams oysters [Music] [Music] so you just swam around the line yeah he was so cute most people don't say that about a shark seen that one you wrapped up in a wine we caught a 60-inch Baker like that we last heard this job holding regular boat you can't even know he saw that what's cool [Music] [Music] [Music] and now [Music] baby's got tutors long you know we got tutors running let's go barbers Andre let's go six fish no way oh no it's it it didn't have a long tail for beagle [Music] thousands of clothes it's the last truck I expected to hook up here these rods just heavy-duty rods barely anything and just get them right in well I lock down the drag there at the end I mean so that's over 50 pounds of drag and that was a very big one they get up to 12 13 14 so or is it they're normally not over here kind of surprise me to get one in here the cold water you got now Dave I guess there was a lot of a middle back then he looked cool bruh yeah he also looked like Mako you get boarded a board out there develop a what's that mark on his head Oh [Music] [Music] [Music] yeah really just hanging out keeps checking out in saloon they comes and goes under the boat and things giant there comes now huh yep I'm not afraid of anything those things launch themselves out of the locker yeah somehow let's go yeah pretty wild never seen a mola before you guys are good I've seen I've seen them jump at the pier but I've never seen them up close and personal off on a boat you don't have them down for you do I think we do but not common like you guys do won't you see that jump out there maybe is it asking us for food guys wrong my peanut butter and jelly oh yeah Ziva takes a peanut butter and jelly the green balloon way back there what do you can feel about two now we got two of them right under the boat got MacGregor they are show-offs aren't they yeah really bad scars but the other one has a little bit of all right perky so what did you think of the first bluefin experience opener winding down our second day we are reeling in the last rods we didn't have much action say we did pitch that one blue shark but we had a hood up on the last two days I first want to give a giant shout out to Carl for inviting Victor and I on this New England trip we have a lot of days left we're gonna have a lot of fun too oh yeah and then I wanted to give a huge thank you to captain Tyler and Phil for taking us out and literally teaching us so much and I got to really my first bluefin which was absolutely awesome not too real enough porbeagle shark which I had never even heard of before which was really cool a blue shark a blue shark we got to see sunfish which we've never seen up close and personal humpback whales which I had never seen before never seen alright just something as simple as seeing a lobster boat just setting traps right next to the boat everything is just new to us I've learned literally so much and huge thank you to them also for answering I probably asked questions and I learned a ton so that was really awesome alright guys and all of Tyler stuff which is the captain of this boat his information can be found in the description box below his facebook Instagram his website extremely knowledgeable guy great harpoon between the fishermen great rod and reel tuna fisherman been doing it since 1985 and literally answered any question we had I think that's it you know we didn't catch the commercial limit fish which we were after because we're on a commercial vessel we got the recreational fish that's tuna fishing you know a lot of people watch a show like wicked tuna and they think they come out here and they get a fish every time but that's not the case you know you might have two weeks where you don't get a bite and then you triple hook up the next day and you might catch a thousand-pound fish and that's the exciting thing about this fishery is you could be hooking a 75 pound fish while you're hooking that thousand pound monster and is a world-class fishery and people literally come here from all around the world to fish absolutely awesome experience I will probably never forget this learn the ton saw so many different things got to reel in my first bluefin tuna absolutely awesome thank you guys so much for watching I hope you enjoyed we have a lot more videos coming out so make sure you check those out and I will also have Victor's videos linked from this trip down below as always thank you guys so much for watching and I will see you in the next video [Music]
