Personally I always did like the theatrical style of Lucas dialogue. Would I say some of it in real life on my own whim? Probably not, but on the flip side, I wouldn’t want Anakin Skywalker to talk like I do either; which is a problem the Sequel Trilogy has. The Sequel Trilogy dialogue just feels too 2015 while there’s a timeless quality to the dialogue from the other 2 trilogies. The Mandalorian doesn’t feel dated at all although that’s partially due to the fact that there isn’t a lot of dialogue in The Mandalorian to begin with unless it advances the story. Some of Peli’s dialogue is out of place though

Rather, more deliberate than I thought. Knowing more about his intentions certainly helps appreciating his efforts. That doesn't mean it's better, though.
The OT dialogue was mostly fine. So it's absolutely possible to have the best of George's dialogue without also having the worst.
