Genesis Chapters 23 & 24 Bible Study

Saints of the Most High God good day to you welcome and welcome back my name is Clarence I'm pastor of United body of Christ Church you're back with us with our Bible study wood today we'll be going over the lesson of chapter actually we'll do a chapter 23 of the book of Genesis and we'll also review chapter 22 I'm gonna take this opportunity to thank God thank our Father for allowing us to get back together we bless you God you're honorable you're holy and you are righteous father without you there is no us without your son there is no Bible study there is no coming together of the saints father your tender sweet mercies has not forsaken us I mean it is why we're here that this day the very fact that we were able to wake up this morning oh god we didn't wake up because we've been so righteous today before it was because that you laid us in a bed of rest and gave us peace as we slept and allowed us to be able to wake up and breathe your air our eyes operated as they were supposed to because of the blessings that you put upon our lives our hearts were found beating our legs were found giving us strength our bodies our limbs were all obedient unto the commandment of being able to stabilize us as we got up with our bearings to stay so we thank you God we thank you for your son Jesus Christ who was the head of the kingdom of God who was our kingdom who was our king who controls the Kingdom he is our high priest in heaven father we thank you Jesus we thank you for your sacrifice we thank you for receiving our prayers co-signing them and giving them to your father father we just give you things and all things that we do in Jesus name Amen and amen anyway again Saints welcome and welcome back to our Bible study once again we're going to do Genesis 23 and review 22 I don't know if we're going to get into Genesis 24 today with you know within this it's it's a long lesson very good very good Bible Genesis 24 while they'll not shut up and and give you the preliminaries real quick you know and then go right into it and maybe that'll create some time for us to get into Genesis 24 here as always if you don't have Bibles go to our website into the scriptures he turned them down we've come before you this day Oh God and we thank you for your word for it is holy we thank you for your word for it is bread we thank you for your word for it is nourishment to our Spirit of God we thank you for your word because it is Spirit Oh God and we pray that the spirit of your word will be taught with power and simplicity we pray ye in the name of your son Jesus the Christ the Messiah of God our royal king we pray in his name O God that this word that is taught today O God we're not only expand the kingdom of God but also edify our bodies our spirits O God as we begin to take control of our lives your Lord Lord we pray in the name of Jesus that the same spirit that will edify us according to your word O God will go forth in the electronics oh god that it goes through the internet that it will go through thee the cameras cellphones whoever may be watching these Bible studies learned that the power of your word will go forth and even expand the kingdom as far as Russia Siberia Oh God Turkey you know wherever that you would deem your word to go let it be father let it be obedient and let that power go forth and let it always glorify God father let us be caught glorifying God for the blessings of this place father everything that we asked you I believe it that it has been done we receive it in Jesus name Oh God bless this it is done amen and amen okay brothers and sisters let's get with it again this will review chapter 22 and go run into 23 - book of Genesis now last time that as we were going over 22 we found out that God tried Abraham a man to scriptures say that that he tested him or he tempt him that should say but it was a test a man and what he wanted to do he wanted to see if Abraham would be obedient okay so he asked Abraham he said I need you to rise up and I need you to go over to to the land of Moriah he says in our love he says what I need to do is I need you to - take your only beguiling to take your only son Isaac and I need you to offer him for a burnt offering now in any other parent I'd be like whoa whoa hold up you know but you know we're talking about the faith of Abraham you know and the obedience of them and he did just as the Lord requested he took his son took his servants they got him got the cattle together and they traveled to the land not the Lord that showed them that that's where he wanted things to take place that when they got there he told his servants he said hold down hold down the hold down the camels and Allah give me give me and my son an opportunity to go pray and worship the Lord he put some wood on the son's back he took the torture of flame whatever it was needed further for the burnt sacrifices and then he went off him and his son Isaac and Isaac says Isaac spec even access finally he says uh well yeah Isaac galaxy's father he says you know we're you know I like about that offer sacrifices to God he says he says where where is the sacrifice he said where's the lamb for the burnt offering and Abraham said you know God will provide the lamb and and sure enough he he laid his son down and he took a knife he's about to offer his son and right before he pierced his son with the knife voice cried out from heaven Abraham and then he called his name the second time Abraham and then it says late night is a late night thine hand upon the lad is it neither do thou anything upon him he said now I know that you reverence God I said fear of God but where he saying is now I know that you reverence God that you would sacrifice your only son and because of that you're going to be blessed and the Lord reaffirmed it that the Covenant he reaffirmed his covenant and he made he went as far as to swear by himself that these things will be fulfilled and and not only did he swear by itself but he went on and and fortified it with the promise as though swearing by itself wasn't enough he went on and promised it but he swore by himself because there's no greater than God you know so when people you know nowadays you know people jokingly say man I I swear by my mother you know swelling my father but you know they're back then give you swore by someone or something you know it had to be a value for that promise to be taken seriously God Himself swore by himself that it would be taken seriously and then we talked about this last week he didn't have to swear to Abraham because one of the things about Abraham is he he knew that God blessed him to have a kid when he was a hundred years old he knew that God blessed him his wife to have a child I believe she was 90 years old at and she had that child and her body wasn't supposed to be able to conceive anything a man so Abraham knew that if something had happened to his son you know that the Lord wanted him as a burnt offering no problem the kind of guy that sir he could make me a new one that's the faith the neighbor him so we said last week that as God as is swearing and using himself to lay the promise own we would have to assume that this would be for future readers if you will because Abraham already to die at his word that was already demonstrated by laying his son out to be used as an offering amen I think that that might pretty much cover yeah yeah yeah and he called the name of the place there where he was going to sacrifice his son he called a Jehovah Jireh mean meaning God my provider amen so we can uh we can wrap this up this they're actually 2022 ended with someone a via the blood line if you willed it it went on to say it went on to bring up Milka and if we remember Milka that was the niece of Abraham's brother who died his name was a hair on har a in Haran and Haran died and that was his niece Abraham's other brother Nahor too took his niece and and you know they they married nevertheless said that 22 in it concluded by letting you see the lineage of what and that's kind of relevant for the next chapter here and that's why I brought it up whoa it's gonna be relevant at least for chapter 24 that's why it's introducing it now if you will so notice that it came to pass let me see that that Milka and and Nahor they had kids look like they had about seven or eight kids there one of them was Beth Ewell and that bet you'll end up having a daughter named Rebecca so we'll stop right there and we'll go right into chapter 23 of the book of Genesis here and Sarah was hundred and seven and twenty years old when and then these were the years of the life of Sarah and Sarah died in quor'toth Arba the same as here Hebron in the land of Canaan in Abraham came in mourn for Sarah and to weep for her so Sarah was a hundred and twenty-seven years old when she when she died here and and at this time they had been there and they had been in the area we're talking over here about Mike Canaan they have been over here for some 62 years now I know you like wait a minute passed out you get sixty two years out of that okay go with me real quick to Genesis 17 and 17 real quick Genesis 17 and 17 well let's see here okay here we go Abraham Phillip on his face and laughed and said in his heart this is one the Lord is reaffirming the fact that he's gonna give Sarah a kid is going to come from Sarah's womb Abraham and since she'll a child be born unto him that is a hundred years old and she'll and she'll Sarah that is 90 years old bear so you figure Abraham was ten years older and then Sarah okay so if you go back to when they were first called if you go back to where they were first called here I think Abraham was at least I think Abraham was 75 years old when the Lord called them out of where they were out in their father's house here yeah you want to go to chapter 12 it says so Abraham departed verse 4 so it's so 12 and for Abraham departed as the Lord had spoken unto him and lot went the man Abraham was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran and Abraham took took Sarah his wife so Weber Hammond was 75 years old and we know that Sarah was ten years younger so she was 65 if you end up taking a hundred and twenty seven minus 65 you're gonna end up getting sixty-two years that they were in that area there and so said of course it says she died verse three and Abraham stood up from before his dead and spake unto the sons of Heth now remember Abraham is returning from where was I believed at that in verse 19 of 22 chapter 22 verse 19 so Abraham returned unto a young man and they rose up and went together to Beersheba and Abraham dwelt in Beersheba so when he got word that his wife died Abraham returned to her and it says that in verse 2 it was she died and the same as Hebron it says the neighbor ham came to mourn for Sarah and so he retired back from Beersheba to N and you know because he got word that she had passed nevertheless verse 3 Abraham stood up from before his dead that spake unto the sons of Heth now if you remember hat if you remember that comes from the bloodline of ham which was Noah's youngest son amen and he had a son named Canaan and Canaan had a son named het a man and you'll find out in Genesis 10 and 1 Haman begat Cainan and 10 and 15 painted canaan begot health ok so if you remember that's these are they these are are the descendants of a ham or the descendants of canaan if you will they man anyway let's go on with this it's at verse 4 so here's a Abraham talking to the children and basically he's talking to the council if you will of that land he's talking the community got together and he spoke to them and concerning the death of his wife and here's what he has to say he says I'm a stranger and they in his surger nor with you which is an outsider I'm a stranger in an outsider with you he said give me for a possession of a burying-place with you that I may bury my dad out of my sight so he's requesting of the town council if you will that that you know because he's not part of the community but that he's a stranger he is requesting if he can have a lot of land that he may bury his wife there because he's not he's not a resident there amen let me go on with this verse five and the children of Heth answered Abraham saying unto Him hear us my lord thou art a mighty Prince among us and the choice of our separators buried thy dead none of us shall withhold from the his soul preacher because thou madest bury the dead so this is what they're saying to him it's actually self-explanatory but here's what they're saying to him you know don't be foolish when you're talking about you know your stranger here we see the Spirit of the Lord on you and you are mighty it would do us honor if you would bury your dead here and you can whatever not only will we want you to bury your dead but will give you the choice lot of wherever you want to bury your dead none of us is going to turn you down for we understand that you are blessed of God we would be foolish to do so let me go on here verse 7 and Abraham stood up and bowed himself to the people of the land as I said I was like a town council if you would and and even to the children of Heth and he communed with them saying if it be your mind that I should bury my dead either out of my sight hear me and then treat for me to eat Efrain of the son of Zohar so he says easy so he got up and he responded to them he says well if y'all serious about what you're saying he says I've already seen something that apart a parcel of land that I'm interested in he says but when i'ma need you to do was talk to Aaron F prime which was a hittite he says he's he's the one that has something that I need so maybe if you can intercede for me if you can go talk to him see if he would be willing to you know allow me to purchase some land from him because he's the one that's in possession of the land that I'm actually seeking to have going on in verse 9 that he may give me the Cave of Machpelah which he hath which is at the end of the field for as much money as it is worth he shall give it to me for possession or burying-place from among you so what he's looking for is this a particular cave there that he thought would be ideal for the burial of his wife and an apron dwelt among the children of Heath so he was Ephraim was part of that come our health Hebron was part of that community and knee proned the hittite answered Abraham and the audience of the children or the congregation of the children of Heth even all that was with him in the gate of the city saying nay my lord hear me the field give ID and the cave that is therein I giveth thee in the presence of the sons of the people give IV bury thy dead so he said so he was there when word got back to him cuz he dwelt among the people and first of all the Hittites I was trying to do some research and I believe that the Hittites us as part of the children of Heth if you will but nevertheless when word gets got back to Aaron he was saying hey hey you know what please you know it's call it call it a gift this is the least that I can do to you and he went on to tell him what what what is associated with that he was like he says all that is therein he said give ID he says the cave that is there and giveth thee and the and and and and and the fact that was trees filled there was all that was associated with that particular land nevertheless Abraham didn't want to have a gift from them amen and you kind of look at it I liked it like remember earlier as we were teaching a Bible study that the kingdom of Sodom wanted to to give Abraham gifts and Abraham would not take it you know there was certain that Abraham would we see from which was of the Lord but then there was others trying to by favor from from Abraham it's one thing to have a gift is another thing for somebody it's wicked to be purchasing a mana or to give you favor or give you a gift because they want something in return from you later on down the road and that's what he was that's why he shut down the king of Sodom he wasn't don't take anything from him so that he can hold it against him I hold it over his head later and such as decays here if you know the UH you know at least what we know of heaven the children of Heth or Oriel or at least the Canaanites let me say that much at least the Canaanites in the area that Abraham is living in we know that they are from the children of ham which is wicked in a sense I mean that was even part of Sodom and Gomorrah so Abraham don't want to receive it for free okay so he won't actually pay the value of it so later on they don't be trying to hold it over his head you know that let's go on with this and Abraham bound themselves down before the people before the people of the land and he spake unto ape you know Ephraim I am the in the congregation of the people of the land saying but if thou will give it I pray thee hear me I will give the money for the field take it up me and I will bury my my debt my dog dead there Efrain answered Abraham saying not to him Lord hearkened unto me the land is worth four hundred shekels of silver what is it between when does it be Twix or between me and thee very therefore thy dead and Abraham harkened unto Aaron and Abraham way to Aaron the silver which he had named in the in the congregation of the sons of Heth four hundred shekels of silver current money for that full court money with the merchants so they came to an understanding about the land here and he still tried to just give it to him look Abraham is a man of integrity and that's going on here verse 17 and the field of Ephraim which was Machpelah which was before bent mam memory the fount of the field the cave which was there in and all the trees that were in the field that were and all of the borders roundabout was made sure or they were added to the deed of the and so this tells you all that came with the cave is that the the field of Ephraim which was in Machpelah which was before ma'am the field it says the cave which was therein and all the trees that were in the field so he falls so far that he got in with in that title deed all of that property was included and wasn't just a cave it was the trees and the land associated with it and to Abraham it was all given unto Abraham full possession of the presence of the children of Heth so there was witnesses to witness to deal it says before all that went into the gates of the city and says and after this Abraham bury Sarah's wife in the cave of the field of Machpelah before memory the same as Hebron in the land of Canaan so memory is is actually the same in Hebron and it's all in in land of Canaan there in verse 20 and the field and the cave that is therein was made sure or actually made a title deed of unto Abraham for possession of a burying-place by the sons of heat so they they certified it you know that it was a done deal so let's go in and knock out twenty-four under said twenty-four is gonna be a little extensive but we should be able to get to it and make sure I didn't miss anything in my notes that I wanted to share with you yeah okay we've covered ahead so 24 starts off by saying and Abraham was old and we'll stricken in age at this time he's already his wife is already gone remember she died when she was 127 years old and yet it says then the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things it says in Abraham said to his elder servants of his house that root over all the land or that route not to land but that root of all that he had put I pray thee thy hand out of my thigh and I will make thee swear by the Lord the God of heaven and the god of Earth that thou should not take a wife unto my unto the son of the daughters of Canaanites among whom I dwell so Abraham living over there in Canaan and the reason why he's in that area cuz remembered the Lord promised him that the time is going to come worth at that very land that he's that land will be an inheritance to the descendants of the children of Israel which they all come from Abraham and so uh nevertheless if you think about the land of Canaan then you're thinking about the Canaanites and then when you think about the Canaanites you think about the forefathers the father of the Canaanites was Canaan if you think about Canaan then you know Canaan was from his the father of Canaan was ham and hip you think about him did you see how him was him was a he was the one that stood over his father while his father was new you know he was perverted looking at his father in the manner that he did a man so you can see that within that bloodline that generation is corrupt if you will and so Abraham considered them to be pagans because they didn't worship the God that he worship not a lot of not a lot around they're there remember Abraham kept changing at when Abraham would end up going into other lands like Egypt over there to the land of Philistine with Abimelech and he would tell his wife that let them know that you're my sister reason being is because he feared he thought that the fear of the Lord was not in those places and that's kind of testimony to or witness against how the land was and how corrupted people were you know and how pagan istic they were and so uh you can see why abraham wouldn't want in and you know I see his land on his bed here you can see why ever ham wouldn't want his son but his son Isaac who is the heir of all things of Abraham he wouldn't want him his son mixing with the children of Canaan you know because they were pagan and and also you can kind of see as he's declaring this you can also see if you go with me real quick to uh I guess that kind of brings us then to this go with me real quick to Deuteronomy the seventh chapter Deuteronomy 7 chapter and we'll get back to where we were here you know you can see the concerns that Abraham have that's to me that's just the Spirit of the Lord moving watch this Deuteronomy 7 and 1 when the LORD thy God shoot excuse me when the Lord thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possess it in time of Canaan he says and has cast out many nations before thee the Hittites the girgashites the ahmadi the amorite the Canaanites the pair's their press the precise Prairie sites the Evite's the Juba sites seven nations greater and mightier than them and when they led when the LORD thy God shall deliver them before thee thou shalt smite them and utterly destroy them thou shall make no covenant with them nor show mercy unto them neither shalt thou make marriages with them thy daughter shall not give until his son nor his daughter shall take thou unto thy son so the Lord is saying that that land of K tonight once he bring the children of Israel into that land he's not going to dare that land is going to be occupied but the Lord is going to make war with those that are already living there because they need to be exterminated if you will and and those that that may remain during the extermination process he don't want them befriending the inhabitants of that land by a giving giving the children of Israel daughters to be married to to the to the canaanites and the of them over there because they are all pagans they worship other gods and then it is what it is so you can see Abraham the look Spirit of the Lord has already on him establishing that right now Abraham don't want Isaac going in that route amen so we can move on here verse 4 be thou his bub but thou shall go onto that into my country into my kindred and take a wife until the unto my son Isaac and the servant said unto him perhaps the woman will not be willing to follow me into the man must I knees bring thy son again until the land from whence thou camest and that is self-explanatory you know Abraham said I need you to go back to my homeland you know they came out of here on a heroin and out of the air of the land of calories and he said I need you to go back to my home my homeland my hometown go get a wife for my son from there because he can't be mingling with these folk over these heathens he gave me mingling with them and so his servant is the chief servant is like whoa yeah I hear what you said you know but what he want me to do is she don't want to come freely should I take your son back over there to get away for what and verse six and Abraham said unto Him beware that I'll break is not my son there there again is that the Lord God of heaven which took me from my father's house and from the land of my kindred and which spake unto me and that swear up to me send unto thy seed will I give this land he shall send His angels before thee and thou shalt take a wife unto my son from thence so this is the faith that Abraham god he was like no it's not going to have to come down to you taking my son back and and true Peto don't know all things do not allow my son to go back there more than anything I believe that God is gonna send an angel before you and he will select a wife for my son to have you follow the path of the Lord because I believe he's in this matter verse eight and if the woman will not be willing to follow thee then thou shalt be clear from this oath only bring not my son there there again he said then the servant put his hand under the thigh of Abraham his master is swearing to him concerned in the matter so I guess that was somewhat of the validation of the oath you know like a the promise there between them that he will put this and that's only mentioned one other time in the Bible and I believe if I remember right it was somewhere like the 47th chapter of the of the book of Genesis but that's the only other time that you ever see them regard that the pulling of the hand the thigh they're making a note that way so I don't think that was real relevant but you know that's going down to verse 10 and the server took ten camels of the camels of his master at the party it says for all the goods of his masters was what's in his hand and he arose and he went to Mesopotamia into the city of may arts and when it says it gives the goods of his masters those are the gifts of its master if you will and he made his camels to nail down without or outside the city when you see the word without it means outside made his camel to kneel down outside the city by the well of water at the time of the evening even the time that women go out to draw water it says that he said o Lord God of my master Abraham I pray thee send me good speed or or send me a blessed send me a sign this day and show kindness unto my master Abraham behold I stand here by the well of water and the daughters of men of the city come out here to draw water Hever says in verse 14 and let it come to pass that the dancer to whom I shall say let down thy pitcher and I pray thee that I may drink and she shall say drink and I will give thy camels drink also let the saying be she that has that thou has a pointer for thy servant Isaac it says and thereby shall I know that thou has show kindness until my master and let me stop right there handling his master's business then you can see the relationship that he had with his master because he could have been disgruntled could have been this grown up why I gotta go all the way back there trying to find her you know a wife for yo son man you know I what am I gonna get out of this you giving me gifts to give somebody else but the man was not like that you know he and it showed the kind of relationship that Abraham had with his servants because that that they loved him they loved him enough to to inquired to God that that that these things get fulfilled and and I wanted to talk about I want to kind of start right there for a minute about things in the workplace we don't see this kind of loyalty in our workplaces you know because it seems nowadays there's the love of money being the root of all evil not money itself but the love of it the pursuit of it and and things are based out of greed and disloyalty and so the employers seem not to something you know a lot of these institutions you know there's a lot of riffs but it's the loyalty is gone you know to where when and last time that you care for your boss's family you know that you cared enough and that you pray for your boss's family that things that your boss family would prosper when have you've done that that's pretty much what's going on here he's actually taking the opportunity to pray for you know for the well-being that that something as simple as the marriage of his boss's son that it would prosper that means a lot because you don't see that anymore nowadays you know most of us is praying that Lord get me away from that place because I know you never meant for me to be there anyway I need to be somewhere else where I can prosper and grow well the Lord might have you out of place where it's nothing but even with stuff because it's dark and he needs some light there huh so you might have to change the structure your prayer because even though you may not want a meteor you're probably where he wants you to be you know so that you can be a difference that you can make a difference there amen I don't know I just throwing that out here it's not something that I planned on saying it's the same but it you can see what's going on here and just that relationship let me go on with the lesson verse where we have verse 15 and it came to pass let me see yeah and it came to pass first 15 before that he had done speaking before he was even dumb praying it says that behold Rebecca came out who was born to Beth you remember what I told you the end of the end of 22 in Cana gave the genealogy and they talked about milk having kids when Nahor the brother of Abraham and they had a son named Beth you and Beth through and I'm having a daughter named Rebecca so here's of Rebecca right here Anna came to pass before he had done speaking I behold Rebecca came out who was born - Beth you son of Milcah the wife of Nahor Abraham's brother with her a pitcher upon her shoulder she had a pitcher on her way to get some water and the Denzil was very fair to look upon and remember fair means beautiful and she was a virgin neither had any man known her and she went down to the well to fill the pitcher and came up and says then the servant ran to meet her and said let me I pray thee drink a little water of thy picture and she said drink my Lord and she hasted and let down the pitcher upon her hand and gave him drink so she was concerned about his well-being when you see that it said that she hasted she showed you up and brought it down and get a man drink and she and when she had done when she was done giving him drinks she said I will draw water for thy Campbells also until they have done drinking this was the sign that he asked God to show him somebody that would not only be a concern for his well-being but that tenderheartedness would even be concerned that his animals may not have had nothing to drink I wouldn't want to be caretaker for them - goes on here in verse 20 because she hasted and emptied her pitcher into the trunk and ran again until the world to draw water and drew for all the camels and the man wandering that wandering and held his peace to wit whether the Lord had made this journey prosperous enough so the man was like man is this god this also this can't be God cuz this happened before he got done speaking before he finished speaking did the very thing it was like the Lord knew what he was about to ask and before he got done it was already in motion he can't help but be bedazzled and what he sees and just amazed at the power and the favor of God amen watch this and then you know remember this description that says I will bless them that bless you curse them that curse you and look the man's journey is being prosperous because he's doing what Abraham told him to do so the blessings is even upon his life let me go on here verse where we have verse verse 21 and a man 1 well verse 22 and it came to pass that as the cameras had done drinking that the man told took a golden earring of a half a shuck was waiting two bracelets for her hands of ten shekels weight of gold so bracelets for her hand and some earrings and said whose daughter outside our town whose Oh daddy Oh mommy who your daddy you know tell me I pray thee is there room and thy father's house for us to lodge there she said unto him I am the daughter that you the son of Milcah which she bear on to Nahor and she said more of unto him we have both straw and provision enough and room to lodged in so she was like yeah yeah my parents named I'm not gonna mind and if you you know we've got enough provision see before your camels that you guys to be comfortable a for short stay they went on to say here verse 26 and she bowed down excuse me the man bowed down his head and worshiped the Lord he was just overtaken and he said blessed be the Lord God of my master Abraham who was not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth who was not forsaken my master of mercies and truth goes on to say that I've been in the way of the Lord o me been in the path of the Lord let me to the house of my Master's brother and the damsel ran in tote and and so the damsel ran had told them of her of her mother's house these things and Rebekah had a brother his name was Laban and Laban ran out until the man into the well give me a moment to take a little sip here now Laban running out here you guys got to stay with us with Bible study because we're going to end up sin a little bit well with Laban here you interesting that he makes the case that there that she's going to be in good hands as he's stating his business she's going to be in good hands but a lot of this has to do with the trusting God because my wife I bless the Lord she's a stay-at-home mom we don't receive no public assistance you know we look at the church you know to step in and do this and that I work out I work outside of our ministry I got a job myself um but you know no matter what has come up with in society or within our lives personally that was financially heartening on us I've never ever pushed my wife on out there to do it I've always believed God that he can step in where my finances has stepped out whereas where my finances wasn't feasible enough to sustain us the Lord has always came in and and no matter how it looked he's always came in and blessed us to where my wife you know has always been able to be a stay-at-home mom and as I said we don't receive public assistance or anything we don't allow the government to finance the decision for my wife to be at home because that's no different than Abraham accepting something from the king of the king of Sodom you know they gonna hold it over your head so God has been on one according to the kingdom of God to take care of my wife and and and you know to bless our family take to allow my wife to stay home and bless our family I think it was you know for some reason I'm talking about this today but you know I think it's notable that at least traditionally the case that he said that the guy was making to to allow his his uh you know your daughter he's going to be there for you he's always bringing people around that means you no good because they're influenced influenced by his demonic you know activities certain jobs she's always trying to bring gifts to you like to like the devil is trying to marry you when when you are with God he's always trying to show you what would worldly gifts okay something that's going to appease your flesh and a lot of people end up falling for that they end up trying to incorporate those things that the enemy is offering with their relationship with God and eventually you are carried away off your own lust off those things that the enemy has has held you wet and he end up put at once he once he put these jobs money relationships whatever their own a fishing line if you will and he's willing you in with this and getting your eyes on that bait that's on that hook and the Lord is always telling you don't go don't go don't do it you know let you know let me let me brighten up your day you know let me give you rest through tonight let me give you peace in your life and all those things that God is giving you to substan your spiritual man meanwhile the enemy is trying to tempt your natural man and what he's trying to do is he's trying to bring you in captivity okay he's all that that bait he's rigged out that fishing rod if you will and he's bringing you into captivity based on those things that you desire that you didn't want away from God well you know for maybe God didn't want to see you with those things because he knew that that would draw you away from him nevertheless the enemy and his trickery get you these things and those things the end of the line once it comes back once you even those of you that have gone fishing and you reel that line back get ones that come back to the rod that fish is called a man if it's still on the hook it's caught and he's gone what is it whether the fish men do most of them don't put it back they put it into this cage or they put it into this case closed lid you know the captivity if you will and and that's what happens with us once we're drawn away of our lusts those things subdue was and and we're held in captivity and once we're held in captivity we're in over our head with those things that we lusted after and but the Lord doesn't stop pursuing you because you left him it's not like that what he's trying to do was get word you gotta want to get out you got to want me you got to want me to rescue you and and then all I want is you to come back and I don't want to look at what made you leave I just want to celebrate you looking forward to having a relationship to them and it's the same for you the Lord knows you in captivity and you may have been crying out to him because you've made a mistake he's will watch this he wants you to come out of there and he wants to send some money in there to get you out and just like he's sending Moses here to get out the children of Israel guess who guess who he's sent to get you out he said to some the Lord Jesus Christ to get you out of captivity that you're in let me read on here verse 6 he says wherefore say up to the children of Israel I am the Lord he says and and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians and I will rid you out of their bondage and I will redeem you with the stretched out arm and with the grin with great judgments and he said that because you're captain you're the one that has captured you which is the Egyptians not only am I going to brush you know bust you out of there he says but I'm also gonna rain down judgment for the one that has got you when they're in the first place and kept you in there he says I'm going to penalize the enemy for what he has done to you and guess what in this case the Lord Jesus Christ is the one that has come in to get you out and as he's getting you out he's going to punish the devil for what he has done to you the devil time will come there is an appointed time for the enemy to pay for what he has done to you amen and there and watch this now the children of Israel was caught on a world system while they were up on their Egypt ring you know Egypt being the devil if you will and listen this time here if you will and and and the children of Israel been in captivity of the enemy it is the same thing today we are under the system of the world or the devil system those that are still in this world and of this world you're under the devil system but those that I've been crying out to die because you believe that you've been in captivity God has sent the Lord Jesus Christ to release you now you're being held on your own based on your own understanding you have the right to come on out of there amen and that's you you now have the key because the Lord Jesus Christ is about to come release you you got to decide if you want to come on out of there and watch this just as he said Moses he had sent the Lord Jesus Christ to get you out of your out of your situation watch this here let me finish here man and there was amazing at least in verse 6 he's talking about the power in which he will release the children of Israel out of captivity how much power was released when he sent the Lord Jesus Christ to come release us all from captivity power he always shows out for us for his children God always shows out for you let me finish reading here he says and I would take you to me for people and I will be to you O God and you should know that I am the Lord your God which bringeth you out under the burdens of the Egyptians I'm the Lord your God which bringing you out from the burdens of the devil system or from the burdens of this world that you're in and I will bring you in until the land concerning that which I did swear to give you to Abraham to Isaac and the J to Jacob and I will give it to you for an a heritage I am the Lord and the Lord God is saying that I will give you a land that I swore to give you well which is you will abide with my son Lord you of the Bible my son Jesus Christ you will abide with me and I will be your father forever but no matter it's not about how you got to where you are it's about how you're going to get out from where you are and God I already gave the answer which is the Lord Jesus Christ and if you want to get out from under the world from the captivity that Egypt has you wonder right now this is what you have to do you need to embrace the father and embrace the son this is what you do this is how you get free you go to God you say this prayer with me but you got to believe this within your heart and you need to confess this with me amen this is what you say you say God I come to you just as I am you know my sins father I believe the Lord Jesus Christ is the only begotten child of God and I believe you said Jesus Christ down to earth and I believe Jesus was crucified I believe that he was killed that he was buried but I also believe that he was resurrected on the third day and soon after ascended up into heaven and now resides on your right hand side and now you say this you say Jesus I call on you forgive me of all my sins come into my life your life for my life my life for your life live in me and live through me from this day forward now praise God if you've said that if you confess that with your with your mouth and you believe that within your heart then you just been released from Egypt amen he had sent his son to kick the doors open and to bring you a pot in here and not only will he bring you on out of there but the devil has got to pay for what he has done to you and his time the appointed time for his destruction is coming but right now will we were concerned about you being in Egypt and if you may that confession in you're out amen now here's what is what's gonna happen cuz he needs to give you a change of clothes he needs to give you a new identity and a new name so you have to call a man of God and what this man and God is going to do is he's going to submerge you you call a man of God here bring you to his church where you come to your home and he'll baptize you in your tub if needs be and he'll submerge you down into that water and he'll pull you back up he's going to baptize you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ but watch this you got a call you got a call this man in Ghana and you got to let him know hey I just received the Lord Jesus Christ and praise God however I need to be baptized and I man and God will do it those of you that have already been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ but you back slid which means you walked away from God you
