good morning guys welcome back to the vlog my name is Ryan and welcome back to another beautiful day in Papua New Guinea we're heading out to a mountain airstrip right now that's about 2,000 feet long and about 6% slope tucked away in this beautiful valley so stay tuned to the end so you don't miss out alright let's go ahead and get started and get out of here alright first things first we're gonna do is just gonna do our free startup checklist making sure everything is where we want is checking all the fuses I'm just running my fingers across them and I can feel if they popped up alright our fuel is on we've already checked our caps and low motor our energy is gonna start coming up we're gonna wait till past 14% before we introduce our fuel or watch it and continue to see if our energy it used to go up our ITT's going up we're just watching the rate of that make sure it doesn't go past the yellow and into the red bus 682 and now it's dropped back down and let go of the starter mission off pump on standby generator alternator ox bus and put our prop board Oh is you bit today Yuni degrees out at least 80 degrees in here probably a hundred percent of humidity all my cameras are foggy over just a minute ago I can go ahead and check our controls rudders we're gonna do anything with the pause we're gonna go ahead and throw our weight in first things first as equipment we have zero seats that's why it's a hundred and two- our payload is already at five hundred and fifty-seven kgs fuels at 1,300 pounds which means that i can add on another 130 pounds of fuel or 130 kgs or 286 pounds of fuel our cargo and passengers right down here is thousand three so we're gonna go ahead and put that into our number here when i put in two thousand and we have 1300 pounds of fuel so our ending numbering here is sixty nine sixty and at sixty nine seventy there so it's within ten pounds so we're good okay let's go ahead and do our taxi call and start taxing to the runway taxi light is on right before you downer controls our systems and toss our switches and instruments we've already set up for 12,000 feet our altitude what we want our local Q and H which is our multimeter setting is one zero one four once we take off we'll switch it back to one zero one one I'm going to switch over here to our aux page it's going to tell us what our ala point right now is is six thousand nine hundred and sixty pounds Oh on our takeoff chart down here we go down to our weight it's gonna tell me to rotate at 62 and if I had to come back in for a landing at 73 oh my timer reference I'm gonna go ahead and set up as 73 for the ref I had to come back in and it's 62 or my rotate speed all right he said no traffic but I'm just checking real quick to make sure there is no traffic coming in and there is not ours flaps are set indicated and verified at 20 degrees our radar is already put in standby our switches as much immensely morning down adjust it what but our trap has already set up except for a right rudder trim and if we do need to abort or take off for any reason or for not at 50 knots by the first taxiway we're going to go ahead and report abort or reverse heavy braking flaps up cut off pull off and shut off if we're going on after takeoff we're going to pitch 485 consider you kill in a right-hand turn out towards the beach go ahead and feather at that point if EPL does not work 85 20 degrees 80 full flaps gotta pull off shut off make our mating calls do hit our emergency button crack our door close the ground a brace recognition landing at the pulse devoted on our taxi and SAR 27 degrees Celsius this morning here we come up to 30 degrees Celsius at sea level is 1590 on the torque we're gonna bring back an empty pounds or takeoff roll Oh 15 15 44 1590 Bank nishan condition flaps 20 fuel and harnesses I'm 40 contain 62 Smith alive there's 62 in rotate in our itv up to 740 that's not they're already gonna be our take off ITT as you can see we work really is an awesomely beautiful place they have some really really nice beaches here nice what you can kind of think of is just picture s nice white sandy beaches with some coconut palm trees hanging out over the water just a really awesome place all right above 85 knots I'm going to go ahead and put it to ten degrees of flaps so those pitches over or just gonna get a little bit of back pressure over 90 knots which 102 now we're going to go ahead and reduce - it is zero degrees of flaps her bypass back in normal ignition is off we'll get landing lights here shortly and trip for our best rate of climb which is gonna be 99 knots oh I usually set it at 100 just because 100 is the minimum airspeed in this aircraft that you can use the autopilot climb it out I'm gonna go ahead and write down my departure time oh we are departing in 842 in the morning our next reporting pouring is in 39 minutes so that's gonna be 21 after some 921 let's go ahead and bring our pup rpm back to 2,000 rpm RIT te is gonna be set at seven 24-hour lie mouth we have to understanding what 0 1 1 and we're just verifying our stamp I is also on 1 0 1 1 like I was just saying I just set up our autopilot on our heading mode for now because I'm not set up on my actual course yet so as I get closer I'll hit nav nav oops that's going to hit next and with the magenta line and then actually why of course that I want to apply it was just now leveled off and twelve thousand feet are airspeed has their indicator speed has increased through I need it to be and now go ahead and pull our car lever back here torque back to 1250 power level right here is what is going to adjust our top one on the top our top number or torque I'm going to bring that back to 1215 it's gonna be our cruising torque we're just gonna make sure my TT which is right below it is below 700 as you can see it is a really really nice morning and I think when a time I come back a lot of this stuff to my left is gonna be miss painting in it's gonna be gone and I think there's gonna be some weather maybe getting back into we lack on the next flight and then I have another flight after that make up some passengers and head back to grow I Sasha we back in a row commenting around Jin p.m. now it's 9:00 in the morning now so I think I think what my flights got to us saying is ahead around four and a half to four point nine hours of flight time I think you know so a fairly average sort of busy name right we are three three miles out now so let's go ahead and just bring up our four flight nap and show you what exactly what we have available I've got these charts I don't even know where they came from to be honest I think they're from the Australian government many many years ago what we did is we scanned them I put them all together and gia synced it and then put it into the four flight up so hopefully it's are they cool if you are on the United States you don't have charts and you want to have something geosync to where you can actually on top of the map we don't use this necessarily for navigation we use our GPS g1000 on the plane but this is a really really nice and referencing because it gives us so much more information to what we actually have on the g1000 so what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go ahead and put our airports on here so that I have my information or my strip chart so framel know we're just gonna click on the name open up the strip chart you can see it's 3,000 the meat and that's all that's the elevation sorry nothing right and then length is 620 meters which is about 2,000 feet the 6% slope SOI hand pattern we're gonna come in and from this direction and go over top of it we're gonna check on the airfield see how wet it is we're gonna check to see if there's any kids if I can see any dogs or anything like that and we can do the right hand pattern around and does that so we can land with up to a 7 on hill and with full weight in this on the second page it really doesn't say much but I do know that I'm gonna be landing a little bit right of center line on this specific airship because the left is very soft and I have got stuck there so I don't really feel like getting stuck again and pushing the airplane up with 30 or 40 people for sakes first is what I'm gonna do is we're gonna put in our our top and ascent so the airstrip elevation is in three thousand thirteen I have already put in I just bring it open right so I've already put in my four thousand feet right there and i40 planted around a thousand feet my vertical speed to market so it's recommended I go down right now and nine hundred and fifty feet per minute on the autopilot we're gonna hit RBS and scroll on down to around 800 feet first as our nose is going down it's gonna go ahead and take a little right rudder trip because we don't need as much of with our speed increases [Music] they'll speed its 2,000 where to go click it over to a thousand feet per minute otherwise it just seems right past your target and then you have to keep adjusting and just kind of sit there and also echo company okay so that's rather airplane right now he's adults what about me that little blue arc right there that you see is where pointing get you my desired altitude I just said at 4100 which is a thousand foot above circuit correction not above circuit it is circuit a thousand feet above the runway so I'm gonna go ahead he's fine descent now that were below him he's come climbing up to one seven thousand we had this hill Mountain right ahead of us we're gonna wiggle our way through there I'm gonna go ahead like I said for device lower my cent rate because that mountain is at the run need thousand something and I wanna be able to make sure I can get around it not happy to go way around it it looks like there's quads there they Greg where I was gonna go so never mind we're going to go around about it and ten-yard ascent rate at around 12 arena head terrain ahead as thank you Betty so I just turned off Betty by hitting our toes inhibit our terrain awareness system I'm going to go ahead and start on my checklist here go ahead and make sure my selectors are good I just checked my brakes or causes off we're going to turn that off anytime we go into a bush location because Bunny's gonna scream at us telling us that you know there's terrain and pull up and all this I think it's really really annoying so it's really I said we can actually turn her off just to the button and not have to go into all of our settings because you can do it that way to you and it's just a pain we're sending a Barbie rep which is gonna be our approach speed and in this aircraft we use a specific weight so we're just a couple minutes out we're at six thousand six hundred and forty pounds so the next closest number on our chart here is sixty six hundred feet or sixty six hundred pounds they're landing Smith can be 71 knots so I'm gonna go ahead and set up our B roughness 71 letting us know they work ten miles now we're gonna go ahead and put my landing lights on all right knee rep is set up [Music] it's an inlet are done would you need to go around it at the hill its power up 20 degrees its 473 right hand turnout and recenter torque is 740 we are gonna do the practice go around on this like as I haven't done a practice go around here and years and we have to do what every single month missed a carton it's always a good habit to get into even if you don't need to go around just to get into habit of it talking about especially if you're going into places like this get out of doing it because you can really mess up a turbine engine super quick if you're just kind of like a firewall or just push it too fast or not paying attention so we're gonna power it up bring it to the top of the green as close as we can 20 degrees for 73 right hand turnout at the hill with the trees on the left for 140 100 feet I am still pretty high cocky ups and harnesses are done SAR is done 20 degrees 171 I know 81 days anyone downwind right looks great 500 oh we're gonna be turning final that 3,600 feet and we have flaps to go 20 degrees while a boundary or beat the end of the runway about 140 feet high I said we won't 91 on this section and bounce it around a little bit with that whatnot we're gonna go to the next hill up there and then we're gonna go ahead and turn our base our descent rate that we are shooting for is 550 that's gonna give us our best glide look coming in there's not much of a base here that's why I'm coming a little closer before I turn my base and I'm just a rounded turn and that's it at one point a distance from the field we're gonna go ahead and turn our base walk our back slow down 8900 production 81 all right full flaps checklist complete turning final on 71 knots we're gonna go around at the hill powered up 20 degrees 473 a little bit going around as our 71 knots got three knots on the tail I'm honored to be permitted to sin rate and even though alright here's the hill we're gonna go around our up twenty degrees right-hand turn out pitch 473 preset works of forty kind of coordinated just a little bit more and bring her IQ feedback to 740 I'm just gonna go back up to starting final altitude of 3600 and around 81 knots alright there's a thirty six hundred feet right turning our base to final again which is pretty much nothing let's get power flaps up as we're not full flaps yet check our brakes 182 while they are altitude right full flaps checklist complete again 71 knots for final all right I'm just pitching for my air speed and power for my altitude speed up a little bit we're gonna just pull back a tiny bit also reducing a little bit of power till we get our speed they got anybody's my power back my son tiny bit there's our 71 knots barter fee per minute an ascent rate that's fine make up uncommitted right there is the hell we're now committed to land once that's complete and not in the tail 650 per minute at the center a back to five I had just a tiny bit right on center line and I'll city dogs right guys if you enjoyed that please give me a thumbs up for the algorithm of YouTube and if you enjoyed it consider subscribing because I put out videos every single week like this thank you for taking the time to watch this and have a great day guys alright shutdown we're just gonna get our fuel so I know what it's gonna be for takeoff we're at nine hundred and fifty pounds right Donnie oh down our hubs time off our blowers taxi landing strobes fuel pump aux bus generator alternator powers all the way back 38% in G we're going to go ahead and feather the prop and then up alright guys again have a great day
