Full day of shooting The Chosen

so I'm not a hundred percent sure what this room that I stumbled into is but I feel like there's a magic lamp in here and if I find it I'll get three wishes I was just joking but I actually found one hey everyone it's me Felix and we are back again on the set of the chosen bringing you all the cool things happening behind the scenes we have an incredible day planned so many cool things so let's go [Music] so like every morning I like to head down to set before everything gets started and catch a rehearsal and catch the crew setting up there's just all kinds of great magical things that happen first thing in the morning so I'm on the lower lot again and this is all new today we are working on a scene where Eden will be making wine action we've gone for local Albertsons and made friends with the store manager in the produce department grapes and got the grapes for us in 48 hours we've added stronger flavors that were strawberries come from [Music] and picture wrap miss Lara so one of the things I keep talking about on set is just how quickly things flip this was just the courtyard in front of zebedee z-- house in front of Matthews house and now it's totally different everything looks completely different we got these beautiful double doors they're gonna open up to another scene you go to bed and overnight it's like the next day everything is a hundred percent different [Music] so here we have Willie hard at work Willie tell the people what it is you do I'm first team runner so I make sure that first team is from their trailer Center set trailer and you give us a tour of just any of that or any of these open that you can say Hill era yeah this is the king-sized bed it can also be made into a fool we've got some luxurious pillows here it's very sleepable this very seriously you just hold your copy like this you can kind of have a couple oh we're gonna get this st. get this thing water works guys met real water look at that and then the day I took the day off is extra night of the day right now it's just a regular toilet we're trying to get some today's some of the actors basketball [Music] what is it you're doing hey Eugene and dime so they don't look hot off the press Brandi this is called Fuller's earth movie dirt would it show up on my arm how easily did this wash off at the end of the day so this will be on my hand at the dress of the day until I wash Megan do you be able to tell if I wash my hands or not so randomly on set I would catch these with some spices and herbs and something that's super good followed my nose and ended up finding this place [Music] this is what we call as a walnut dust it's made from walnuts obviously and it's got a very long lasting burn effect place this in take a little surefire [Music] so no that will burn for quite a while I mean it this creates a large amount of smoke John how's the day going it's a little toasty today very much more standard Texas fare but quite well we have one big scene to do this morning we've almost made it through I think we have like one shot after lunch but lunch always rejuvenates so the day will continue what does it you have here I have a eyepatch and some snipe medicine for our illustrious director Dallas so while shooting on set and capturing things on set is a very important part of behind-the-scenes and equally if not more important part is editing all that footage together so I want to show you where BTS is set up show you our headquarters and give you a little tour of that space still have yet to utilize this pool the interns have used it but I have not I plan to remedy that before before we wrap so here we have two of the four members of BTS hard at work what year is it Sam how emails to do so on the side of the chosen we've got animal and Stanley so tell me tell me what you got there so this is pickle juice it's good for replenishing a lot of things during dehydration thumbs up so I think last vlog I had some but it was very watered down it was like the water of the cucumbers okay so now yep okay I had opened my big mouth and talked about how last time I just drank a watered down version of this and now When in Rome we're not in Rome where the Jerusalem mine in Jerusalem [Music] they're rehearsing a pretty big scene right now I'm gonna see if I can find way around and get up on top you get a better angle [Music] my name is Reba Martinez and the first four episodes I played beggar follower of Jesus Father in the Shabbat dinner this next four I mean I've now played a carrier of water and of course now a young person my name is Robert nadir from Detroit Michigan area what we did today is one shot all day I was a civilian soldier obviously and keeping the peace of the society so awesome day a lot of fun this is very exciting for me a little bucket list of mine and just to be part of a team in this type of environment the post we're really believers in what this team is doing I'm the chosen it's a win-win so I'm really excited for this to come out I'm Chris Tracy and I'm the boom operator on the chosen and this is a boom it has the microphone and I hold the microphone over the actors hips without casting shadows without hitting the actors in the head because people can get hit in the heads we usually don't let anybody else ever hold it except a trained professional this guy show me what's away [Music] [Laughter] [Music] so I've been on set for about five weeks now we've had about 22 days of production the days have been long the weather has been hot and despite the sheer exhaustion of it all just seeing the passion of the cast and crew and the impact that the show is having on a regular basis makes it all worth it and I still get chills every time they call for quiet on set and they call action I probably heard it about a thousand times now but it's still every time puts a smile on my face [Music] hey it's Dallas and the creator of the chosen and yes Season one of the chosen is
