it's finals time Brandon Graham hanging out with the legend lindsay Pastrana here in the booth and Lindsey we talked about it off the top this course is so good to the entire field I don't know how we're gonna pick this thing practice and I couldn't even tell you who's gonna win this one it's gonna be an amazing contest to watch yeah so many different features there you see that dragon we'll get to that in just a little bit 2018 was dominated by two women from this field we begin with Mariah Duran who won gold at X Games Sydney late last year came correct and she was on one Lyndsey because prior to that she won X Games gold at X Games Minneapolis right and so she has a chance to three-peat which would be the first time in like ten years right Melissa seamer did it so this is huge trying to join rare air there but she will be pushed Leticia Bufoni the only reason she didn't win three in a row last year was because of Leticia as you see highlights from X Games Sydney she took gold at X Games Norway yeah and the pony has been skating this course oh so well but some of the storylines to keep intact ten skaters from six different countries and five different Street gold medalists obviously we talked about Moriah Leticia but let Alexis alone certainly Pamela Rosa and Laura Nishimura her X Games debut winning in 2017 yeah this is just I'm just so excited I don't even have words I just I just want to sit here and watch a lot you need some words you get three runs each 45 seconds their best run counts the importance of the three run format though you cannot be understated here right and you know sometimes it's only two and that's just not enough and you think 45 seconds oh that's not very long but when you're out there skating it is and it's so nerve-wracking so many heavy hitters as we said one name to keep an eye on a very late addition when hwaseong there you see dropping in third out of China taking the place poor Julia Brookley who went down with a knee injury she had agitated a practice yesterday unable to go yeah and she all the way up till this morning in practice was when she made the decision so here's candy Jacobs dropping in this is her ninth X Games appearance her best finish came last year in Norway just missing the podium first trick you know she almost always is the first one to drop which is so nerve-racking yeah it's never easy to be the first one to drop in on the final oh by the way it's the inaugural event extinction and medals at stake no qualifier no elimination this is a straight final but again the event the 3-run format luckily she does have two more chances at this and she's definitely pulling it together and getting some tricks in there which is good that she didn't just throw the round completely away but she is gonna look turned her on the Candy's been a mainstay on the X Games stage really put it together in contest last year she won two World Cup events in 2018 in Spain and Russia and was really skating well this week in practice this seemed like a course that she was really enjoying so not quite what she was anticipating certainly not the way you want to start a run but as you said she'll get a couple more chances as we await that run one score here forty one point six six the bar officially set out here today a packed crowd on hand to watch this woman's final seventeen-year-old nanaka Fujisawa making her third x-games appearance a couple of top-ten finishes six in Minneapolis last summer night in Sydney yeah I've been really proud to see all these girls they just have such great composure and they really go out there they skate there best you know and they've just been pushing through there's so many contests now and so it's you know you're dealing with jetlag and not everybody it just as well as other people too that she was part of skate exchange back in November 2018 which was really neat done with the women's skateboarding Alliance in Tokyo Anna Lacey Baker Alexis and I worried were also involved with that the girls just loved it I think nanaka said it was the best weekend of her life nice boardslide on that a frame rail I was out there walking the course a little bit and that's actually seems like it's just about the highest real out there those big ollie down the stairs - and her run there a solid first run for Tanaka it's our inaugural X Games Shanghai 20 point three three on her first attempt and the crowds gonna get a little louder out here yeah our lone Chinese skateboarder in this field when Wei Zhang getting in just minutes ago 14 years young at a top-10 finish at the world skate London open just a week ago yeah I know I don't think she really practice an actual run because she was an alternate so she just kind of skating for fun and then the last minute she's thrown in here so we might see her look a little lost on the course but she's definitely got some tricks in her bag and hopefully she'll pull them out for us final 10 seconds for win way so if you look at that kickflip she just did that gap is so much bigger than you think it is three-point big space of rocks there and there's there's a few girls who are skating that feature today but you just don't even realize how big it is big ollie down there's that rock jump again so you see it's it's just it's so much wider than yeah it is a distance until you walk it you don't even realize I just want to stress how much bigger that is that so when hwaseong making her X Games debut it just 14 years old in her home country puts down her first run we're just getting started here in the women's final run number one more from Shanghai when we return at our new home here at x-games Shanghai Lindsay I hope you got a chance to walk around I know we've been hanging out at the venue a lot you got a chance to get to downtown proper yeah after this event I'm gonna go down there with a bunch of the girl skaters well we're in the midst of run one here in the skateboard Street women's final Haley Wilson just seventeen years young set to drop in on her first run and she's looked really good on this horse Lindsay on a frame rail word side down it's hard to tell but that's a down flat down round she just came off of a big finish in the Street League yep second place just behind Pamela Rosa we could go and talk to the momentum sometimes for a young lady that maybe doesn't have a lot of top ten or podium finishes under their belt what that can do to someone contest the contest it can give you a lot of confidence which is good I think that she's definitely showed so much progression in the last in the last year she just she's really gotten better at skating contest you know in the beginnings you could you could see her hand shaking and now she's like so you see she's got that grace on her wrist she fractured it while she was filming for the Nike SB video gizmo which just recently dropped which is an amazing video that she does have a part in seventy two point six six oh it wasn't perfect Lindsay but more than enough to put her in the first place yeah oh here's Alexis so story about Alexis here her signature shoe drops today with Converse and practice was only thirty minutes before the event and she only had two right shoes she had left her a left shoe at the at the hotel and it looks like somebody went and got it Wow not only that you were holding her hotel keloids yeah I was and I was running around trying to find someone I'm like someone's got to get it for someone's got to get her here so Alexis alone who's meant so much to not just women's skateboarding but skateboarding period so creative so progressive finally getting that prosciutto on converse and she's able to get it right before her first run here in the final Ollie over that rail gnarlie she has so much pop there's that big rock gap that I was talking about earlier and now watch her go up it it's insane I don't know where the pop so stylee for the 3-time Street gold medalist you gotta think she probably didn't have any practice because she probably didn't get her shoe toe and a preview of what's to come Lindsay as he said Alexis packing two right footed shoes let's head down to our own Jack met Ronnie the third Marar team for a report from the course Jackie yeah you're not gonna believe that story I mean the fact that Alexis shows up to right shoes I have the end of that story Lindsey so what happened was everyone's freaking out looking for the shoe doesn't have time to make it back to the hotel sure enough Manny Santiago points somebody out in the crowd so a Chinese fan is wearing her ProModel shoes it so happens to be the exact same size so luckily enough for her stars align and hopefully the stars align on her next run are you kidding me are you kidding me is right no that is some movie stuff right there Luke's out into the crowd someone got her shoe that just dropped in it's Versailles unreal Thank You Jade um for that report Wow outrageous Alexis so blown and oh by the way carried that to a 65 good enough for second place here early in the comp Jen Soto it's her third X Games appearance still trying to find that first podium has had success it's street league but yet to find it here on the X team stage does that change here today in Shanghai Jan of course very good friends with Mariah Duran they film a ton together see them pushing each other Jen's got one more trick get this off take another look just such good style these girls are bringing so much more style under the support about 50/50 flat up hanging on so Haley Wilson leading the way with that seventy two point six six Jen dabbing to the moon with a sixty one point six six good enough for third place there we see Leticia Bufoni she'll be dropping in just a little bit the skate spots here in China are undeniable so it's no surprise Leticia has been hitting the streets here in Shanghai a little different for me because I've been going straight skating every day after the practice normally I go to a contest and I only skate the course I don't do anything else but since we China and everything is perfect I gotta go straight skating because when you're just like hanging out at the hotel and skating practice and then going back to the hotel you keep thinking about the contest the whole time like you don't chill like you just like think about the counters think about a run and then going straight skating it's kind of like a getaway you know we're just a stone's throw away from Shanghai Disney Resort we're in the midst of run number one near the women's skateboard Street final it's hailey Wilson leading the way Lindsay you and I were able to get to Downtown Disney last night for dinner I know that was hard to be so close to the actual amusement park without actually going here Lorri Nishimura has a gold medal to her name she earned it in 2017 in just her second X Games appearance then she went second in mini last summer and third in Sydney what makes our worry now at 17 years old so dominant so young she has good focus and appears to not get too nervous now she's becoming the veteran as these bigger and not only a fetcher but I got visible especially in her native country of Japan the sponsorships are starting to roll in certainly with Street skating getting into the Olympics in 2020 along with all of her success here at X Games she's now up on Billboard's Tokyo flip side down the big 12 stair rail there goes right on the ledge just so controlled it doesn't look super happy with that right but she's got two more so each of the skaters getting three attempts counting the single best score the inaugural X Games Shanghai gold medal is what they're fighting for a 68 Ferrari good enough for second place so we turn our attention to Pamela Rosa you want to talk about consistency look no further than the 19 year old Brazilian she's got two golds two silvers and a bronze look so comfortable on this course all the podiums as we said but just a consistent performer Lindsey I'm just gonna run through her past few X Games fourth third fifth fourth first first second second yeah I mean if it's not top five there's something going on with her she wants to get back on the podium she hasn't won gold since 2016 in Austin slipping off that lip slide and that rail is so long I saw a few the girls skating it the other day it's so much longer than you think you come up so Pamela's first run in the books we take one more look who's crying on that Kiki rail waxing board slide better we don't want to get sticky on those so a little board maintenance after row number one she awaits the judges score Pamela's mom always around probably my favorite person to watch in the crowd across all disciplines at X Games it's nice to see you know the parents out there supporting it can be really helpful now some some people aren't fortunate enough to be able to have their parents come to all the events but right well Pamela's mom Claudette I mean she's been there Pamela's been competing here since she was you know 11 12 years old so it stands to reason that she would be here been there along the way jumping into third place there she's definitely got more for us excuse me Claudette there's a TC aspire Lavinia is Pamela's Leticia Bufoni 26 years old X Games medals in street one in multi-sport that's good for ten total of gold medal in Oslo last year for first gold in five years Lindsey yeah oh here's this peeve on that long rail hanging on to it that's the one I always hold my breath for practice [Music] with so much real estate with so much transition thought that this was a course that was really gonna cater to [Music] [Applause] just going to nary us over the dragon on her first run and even with time to spare gives a little claim what a run a lot of obstacle he's got Targaryen blood sorry that's the end of my Game of Thrones references I just have to knock that out in eighty four point three three four Bufoni giving her a comfortable lead and you see the golf clap from Nyjah Huston he approves so let's easy a Bufoni coming absolutely correct there we see our defending gold medalist Mariah Durant she actually was able to get to the course a little earlier than most along with Jen Soto they were able to get those clips for the gram check it out I'm Ryder and we're here at the x-games Shanghai course here with Jen Soto inspire people through skateboarding especially through social media and stuff have enough fun is so nice you can just pull it out and just film whatever Kozik done everybody sees it [Music] I guess this huge takes I like hype you up you wanna have somebody and I think when you're having fun like just getting shows guys yeah with the iPhone 10 are literally anyone can be escaped over it's not easy so cool to see those clips Moriah Duran now defending gold medals but she's gotta put it down with cheap after Leticia just set fire to this course she does Oh missing that kickflip on board she had that pretty consistent in practice so I think we'll see that in in another run yeah as you said another run and I know we keep harping on it but the reality is is sometimes with these contests they're not afforded this 3-run format you know if you're only a couple of attempts you don't always get that chance for redemption Mariah Durant can turn right around and go but I love that she's still having fun she's not letting it get her down then she pushing on three X Games medals are 6 X Games appearances add to that collection well you hold a 50 combo that long rail and avoiding the rocks is some wizardry from Mariah Durant on her first run these girls have a lot of them they like I said they came from Street League in England yep so they've been traveling for a long time and it's kind of hard to be away all the time don't adjust to the time zone or you get homesick or six no doubt run one in the books in its Leticia Bufoni and leading the way more from X Games Shanghai [Music] [Applause] twenty six point three million people call Shanghai China home and over these three days x-games gets to call it home as we bring you into the inaugural X Games Shanghai run one just finishing up here in the women's skateboard Street final it was Leticia Bufoni leading the way with that eighty four point three three Lindsay I know there's still ladies that left something on the course namely mariah duran of what could be but just speak to Leticia Bufoni and what that run meant for her and that chase for another exit medal well you can tell in practice that she practices her whole run where some of the girls just practice trick by trick so for her to get that under the books now and just it boosts her confidence and now she can go put down you know better right can you beat Jacobs [Music] the Dutch skater looked so good all week long on this course I thought we were going to see the best x-games performance from her does not start now run through the way she had hoped you go up that flat it's coming off that knowledge again she does have another run a lot of time this would be it for her that's devastating to come back stick a whole round oh there's that big kick clip yeah and at this point after essentially to throw aways she has to go for broke she can't and that's that's a hard that's a hard one to you like okay so it's my last run should I go for broke and you know throw all the biggest stuff or do you still want to get a decent score and do some safer stuff you kind of just I don't know I guess it depends on the skater and how you're feeling that day monica Fujisawa 17 years old she's sitting in ninth place trying to replace that twenty point three three she can only go up from here [Music] oh no she broke her left wrist recently that's why you see her there skating with that air cast it much like mariah duran a member of the AL skateboards [Music] there it is already a much cleaner run than when we saw it or first the test final 10 seconds big Avery [Music] Oh for a kickflip down that - well stay [Music] [Applause] and she stands up for anybody who hasn't skated 12 stairs before think about running and then jumping off of them to the bottom that is a terrific description that's exactly what she was doing right here there's a lot of good camaraderie between the girls too it's it's fun to see they all really support each other that's what it's all about you know you yeah we talked about the skate exchange obviously so many of them filming together we talk about it every year but they're pushing each other and they're pushing the progression of the sport and every year we see something new something different something innovative that's because they're all rallying together when Wei Zhong our lone Chinese athlete in the field just 14 years old and she like we said before she just found out about 10 minutes before the contest that she was in yes he was the only alternately abrooke LaRon fortunately unable to go through an injury to her knee and here's one way try and replace that 16 that shoe backside 180 down the stairs I don't sorry when way you can skate however you want untie the other shoe [Music] that was beautiful you can tell that she did practice a full run in practice because she didn't know she was in the contest so it didn't flow as well but she got a lot of good tricks in and that backside 180 is amazing focus here I mean that's textbook yeah I was told that this is the biggest set of stairs she's ever skated unreal again as you said only finding out she got in the contest about 10 minutes before as an alternate the youngest competitor in this field the lone Chinese skater here at Shanghai all of that pressure didn't have that first run she was looking for as you might imagine nerves certainly in play got less time on this course than anyone else in a 56.3 three jumping her up into eighth place a great showing for the Chinese skater more from Run 2 here in Shanghai when we return [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] enter the dragon here at X Games Shanghai we're in the midst of the skateboard Street women's final the look at that beauty of a course California ramp works continues to push the limits of what's possible with these course builds and they did just that here in 2019 at the inaugural X Games Shanghai we move on here and run number two hailey Wilson looked very good on her first attempt was holding court at in the top spot until the TC of a phony bumped her now she's sitting in that silver medal position what can she do to maybe jump up there and get back in the first she needs a sticker hole run and then I know she has tricks to step up her last run so she just needs to step it up but she did she had some Falls on her first run so even just for sticking a hole run makes a huge difference as we said a big week for her last weekend took 2nd place at the street league crow open in London a lot of travel but the magnitude of this event all the girls had to come here for this that he did not want to miss it final five seconds for hailey [Music] big spin front board to fake you that one it progresses me every time I see it I just good sight she holds on as we take another look bigs been front board to thinking's oh she didn't want to do the handles lightest of taps she didn't tap out though so she was trying to knock out that seventy two point six six from her first attempt it won't be enough to knock out a phony but was it enough to improve her score you see you're standing alongside 18 OOP and 80 for Haley Wilson so again keeping her in second place but just stacking those points and now she has opportunity to go and stick the entire run Alexis subloan three-time X Games gold medalist her borrowed from the crowd shoes on reel her new signature pro model on converse dropping today and if you missed the story she packed the wrong shoe or two right footed shoes and a man in the crowd had them on and they just so happened to fit her and it's a walk in the park for her right now Lindsay this is trademark Alexis of blown this gap is so big all yeah [Music] doesn't look too shaken by that but I know she is one to get super nervous spin on that board makes you get one more in [Music] we take another look at her second attempt she started off very properly hi this is I mean this is like up to her waist think about that I don't think I can even jump that just really enjoy watching you skate Laurie is sitting in bronze medal position with that 68 Alexis up loan on her second attempt awaits the judges score she's coming off her bronze medal performance at excuse me hapless last summer we say it every contest not just a podium threat she's a threat to witnessing outright everytime 81.6 six jumping so blown up in the second she looks like she wants to so a nice run for Alexis to blown and I think she'd even have met she left something out there so I'm excited to see what she's got on her final attempt here's Jenn Soto sitting in sixth place [Music] no stepping off the feeble a slip slide [Music] ten seconds left for the Jersey City data [Music] look attempt backups are gnarly you have the chance of hanging up your wheels on the way over and you can't see what you're doing she makes them look easy trying to dust off that 61 point six six and climbed that leaderboard ladder keep it classic it's a good song a little time a little little Seager gets you going here in the booth yeah the music's been on point here at X Games Shanghai I think we're all in agreement they've covered a lot of ground oh yeah all the genres all of the genres not some of the dramas not both of the genres all of them judges really taken their time with this one that's good again Haley Wilson with that DP no gen Soto so she improves her score jumps up a spot into fifth place Ryan's got history in her eyes can she win her third consecutive both [Music] it's amazing you know to me like I like the fact that I was like able to like execute all my tricks and just like accomplish that back-to-back is like a barrier for me to break i told myself going in like regardless if like i took last year first that I was just gonna appreciate you know skateboarding because like at the end of the day if I'm able to skateboard like and I get injured or anything like that that's a win for me you [Music] Leticia Bufoni in the top spot trying to get another gold medal her first since X Games Norway last year if you want to know where you're going you need to know where you've been let's look back at 2018 the year that was for women's skateboard street it's that women Street final and it's Leticia Bufoni who put down the top scorer and run number one Leticia Bufoni back on beach well congratulations once again give it up Norway for Leticia Bufoni here at US Bank Stadium for day 3 of X Games Minneapolis we bring the so five women skateboard Street final so here's Mariah Turan these are all week long but so good at practice having this live dial Wow Mariah Durant is ensure her first-ever XK pedal the first X Games Mariah Durant you see the style [Applause] the skateboards rise on fire they grow she's bringing the heat that first place New Mexico is having a bow with another gold medal what a highlight reel that just gave me goosebumps no I'm excited for these rest of the second runs and 3rd runs that come Muraya Duran obviously trying to make it three in a row I worry Nishimura trying to get back on the top spot she's our next skater to drop in right now sitting just outside a podium position in corner plates rolled her ankle so hailey Wilson in front of her in that bronze medal position actually upped her score too so she's got some ground to cover our he does get into existence doesn't seem to shake her though continuing her run all that was beautiful over final five seconds priori try to get this last one in listen pumps oh those are those ones when it was after the buzzer that you're like you know what y'all don't have to countdown right but nothin if she had landed I've all a better you gotta count it oh yeah overcooked I couldn't tell my other ankle there it was the style is so clean from ores 70 1.33 so she improves upon her first run score but not enough to climb the leaderboard dig is a berry colored like I say the acai bowl below the team Brazil rose our first Brazilian Segway back second run Pamela Rosa sitting right now in sixth place I don't think any of us expected that up to run one because she's so good at making your presence felt early in contests she just so clean and consistent these people that big media frame it's got a lot of rail trip Oh ouch she went back-to-back gold in 2016 in Oslo and then Austin hasn't hit the top spot since then I try to get one final trick in what is our rule with that if you're skating to the trick when the buzzer hits then you can do the trick you know I don't have any official wording and it depends on who you talk to as we take another look but yeah I think if you're I think from a judge's perspective if you're turning around before that buzzer with the aim of putting down one last trick you'll see it through but I don't know that it gets held against you if it's a bail so Pamela Rosoff putting pressure on herself for her third and final attempts everybody here at least had her pegged for a podium finish but she's right now on the outside looking in so here's our current leader Leticia Bufoni now I don't want to jinx anything here but her last win in Norway last year her first run score was an eighty four point six six and she never looked back her first run score here today an eighty four point three three is that going to be enough to carry her we shall see Oh I knew she would step up this run but you called it partner right after that first run and gave her such a sigh of relief to be in that top spot with that run knowing that she had a few other tricks up her sleeve now she can get a little weird on attempts two and three [Applause] over the dragon I call that the first the first time I saw the course I said that's got Leticia thank goodness there wasn't a ceiling here she might have hit it look at eyes she gets she's out of frame and all that she she does a lot of off and that's what pays off her stuff like that would have such a big drop like that everybody's body no you're absolutely right the phony stepped off the board middle of that run so she won't best her first run score but she stays in first place does that change though with our defending gold medalist looking to make it three in a row the Albuquerque kid Mariah's Iran set to drop in for her second attempt all smiles all the time our format here at X Games the pool run format really caters to her skateboarding style because that's the way she rides in practice [Music] Oh and that one in practice was kind of hit or miss for her but she definitely has it yeah [Music] well variety Iran is going to add to her collection of three X Games medals she's got some work to do on her final attempt [Music] and sometimes Lindsay it's important you know if you fall just to the pump a few times and like you see just clear a gap and just kind of get your feet underneath you get a little positive momentum right to just spray wrap things up and it is nice you know not every event you're able to take some practice runs in between so that really helps these girls oh there it was who is going to catch Leticia Bufoni in search of another X Games gold medal [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] final run time here the women's skateboard street final at X Games Shanghai Leticia Bufoni leading the way Alexis a blown and Healy Wilson rounding out our top three but some names Lindsay on the outside this final runs when they get interesting it sure is totally rookie doubt with my yeah this third run you know Leticia is gonna look to up her score because that's a kind of skater she is right and a lot of these girls are gonna love to just have a full pole run you know not many of them have stayed on their board for their entire yeah kandi Jacobs sitting in 10th place best run has been a 41 point six six has not been her day here's her chance to really send it starting out with that people get the fourth sight on the downside down and all the 50 kids you could tell she's like sticking everything already her best run of the day oh yes oh there's a big table over the rock gap coming back but already even so that was better than her other round so she's definitely gonna I would think no question it's just a bummer because I was on the cusp of saying Annie Wilson watch out because this might have third-placed potential unable to fulfill the wrong but a lot to like about that so she saved their best for last but not enough to crash that podium for candy Jacobs what a crowd on display here today you know it's our first one obviously Shanghai I've got a few people yeah almost 26 and a half million give or take but you never know in an inaugural event like this it has been incredible to walk around the grounds here at the venue and to see everybody coming out and supporting sixty-eight point three three forty Jacob so jumps up it's a fifth place so what nice finish for her Monica Fujisawa 17 years old she's sitting in 10th place trying to replace a 15 just a clean run full pool from Monica but she end on a high note here that Oh whoa hitting some speed by rolling it this tall call a frame rail Nautica on one right now final ten seconds go for a huge kickflip down that twelve stare around let's say she shot this one maybe for the fans but selfishly I think you and I both want to see this definitely let's go Nautica the closest she's been off [Applause] but again that wrist is freshly healed or still here you're just joining us what a battle we've got brewing right now Leticia Bufoni lead the way from her first run Alexis a blown though putting a little pressure on her on attempt number two she's still yet to drop in for her final attempt and Moriah Duran our defending gold medalist who's not in that podium conversation right now we'll see if she saved her best for last she would be the final skater to drop in some people could drive on that pressure all right you know some of our X Games veterans like Shaun White he does good Bucky lassic is Bucky lassic Mark McMorris Nyjah Huston so many legends who were so good in those moments but there you saw her face Fujisawa jumping all the way in the fifth place she's stoked 69 point six six when waves on the Chinese skater in front of her home country sitting in 10th place trying to replace a 56 point three three was putting together she was like we've talked about already is she old if you're just joining us she did no shoes if this contest it melts it's prior last practice than anyone else out here an impressive showing regardless but you'd love to jump out of that bottom spot Oh big forward side down the rail I don't know that I even saw her do that practice I might first go for her X Games debut I think she did know the card stacked against her as she said just finding out moments before that she was in the whole thing and to come out and put it down and her debut here at X Games Sean hi hold your head up high young lady what a performance [Music] as you might notice there are a lot of big shoe companies that are now in the skateboard industry that are giving the girls so much support and that is huge it's a big step for all the women skaters to have the support from some of these bigger companies and you know they're sending them on film trips in the contest and pro model shoes and that's a new for a women's skateboarding right you know at this magnitude so it's really cool to see you remember it somewhat in your career but it was really uncharted territory while you were competing here at X Games to drop certainly Moriah Duran are defending gold medalist the young lady looking for three in a row will have final say here but Pamela Rosa we turn our attention now sitting in eighth place Yuri actually she's coming after Ari whoo one goal in her second x-games appearance which was the inaugural X Games Minneapolis and right now she's just trying stay stay on a whole run and possibly invade that podium she's sitting importantly she has the tricks I believe she has the run that can't do it you were saying Lindsey so final ten seconds obviously she knows it wasn't the run that she was anticipating it she got a banger in for the crowd here in Shanghai how was that she takes her hat off but she knows it's gonna fall looks like on that big rail she always skates the biggest rail on the course so unfortunately for our ignition murder she will not be able to get a medal here in China she'll finish it for Thor and stayed there temporarily still a couple of girls who could change things Pamela Rosa got ahead of myself there sitting in eighth place crazy to think that she's not in a top three spot right now would be her third gold finish just a week ago in London at Street League she's got a hustle here so devastating Pamela Rosa after just missing the podium in Sydney how to settle for fourth place looks like she will be on the outside looking once again so it's update the office for Pamela Rosa what many of us expected but she will be back though we thought about maybe we got a lot of teenagers and this half of these girls are teenagers so a 75 for Pamela Rosa her best score of the day but a second consecutive fourth place finish Leticia Bufoni our current leader history at stake here but she cannot afford to play it safe as you said Lyndsey she's gotta send it because she knows Mariah Durant and her prowess will be dropping behind them exactly so the history that is at stake here is that she could tie Elissa steamer for the most gold medals and women skateboard Street which is so the phony potentially [Music] but because there's only one more skater to go at the very least she will be silver if not gold she is here she is other Buttle going to medal to which that does actually tie her with Barrett Christie for 4th most among women trailing only Lindsey Jacobellis and Jeannie Anderson so she is in rare air already when it comes to the summer side for what a time to be Leticia Bufoni certainly she had a huge part in the Nike SB video gizmo that just premiered which really paid homage to Elissa steamer and her contribution to skateboarding so it would only be fitting if she could tie that metal mark here today but before we get ahead of ourselves mariah duran our defending gold medalist she's made it to straight right now she's sitting in ninth place Wow crazy did Mariah Duran save her best for last we find out right now that big rock cap she's switching it up this is a totally different run and mariah Duran is unable to finish that run and final ten seconds this one will really be for her in the crowded shanghai and with that Leticia Bufoni back on top another gold medal her fourth as you said tying Elissa steamer for most in women's Street it's her fifth X Games gold medal overall if you include women's Street the real street contest back in 2013 she left no doubt after her first run let's send it down to Jack who's with the TC congratulations once again your fourth gold medal fourth in the discipline tied with Elissa steamer for the most ever how big is this moment in your career take me through the feeling when you landed that first run that Holly over the dragon I think all 26 million people here in Shanghai felt the earth shake take me through the feeling of that when you landed really good because you got you Gustavo getting the shot for Instagram let's take another look at the run that gave her the gold medal it was her first attempt and as we said just like in Norway she held the lead and never looked back [Music] we thought that this was a course Lindsay that was going to be very good to her because of the transition her ability to pop and flip and do some really neat things over that dragon feature and that was all put on display on run one exactly and she is one of the ones that can't skate transition well in addition to her street skills so that plays a big part here and even just being able to get more tricks in because she could she could do a nice 500 on this on that quarter instead of popping out and dropped me back in and we wondered obviously you put the you put the lead on the first run and again that is just magic but there were so many big names that still were going to drop in for their first attempt their second attempt their third attempt namely Mariah Duran and yet she was able to fend them all off and win her fourth gold medal in the event five total gold medals that's a lot yeah when her real street part from 2013 plus the four she's won in dissipated 5x gold medals it's her 11th medal overall in the discipline and we can't say enough good things about obviously alexis alone been well-documented I've been aware of strangers pair of her own role model shoes that drop today and how about hailey Wilson you said it the improvement from when you last saw her Minneapolis yeah two seconds back-to-back two weekends in a row two different continents she's she's on the pack earning her very first X Games medal congratulations to our entire podium here in the women's skateboard Street final Leticia Bufoni came correct and never looked back Alexus alone
