hey if you want to see three quad tracks doin tillage today keep watching don't forget to subscribe [Music] [Applause] beautiful morning bit crisp out but it definitely is beautiful oh I'm gonna start the day hello is anyone here no one's here hmm apparently have about 650 acres left to do tillage should be a couple of days ooh nice she's running oh man oh this problem a boat broken partial old break time delay more broken parts missing a covering board supposed to have two little wings here flip dirt boy isn't that neat that chunk was on this disk and fell off throughout the night this trick is due for an oil change 15 hours new done not the right length flips we're still gonna send it a point on the other river - good morning you're late you're late clean and tight fit around here another one to clean she's a mess 20:19 baby don't ready for liftoff breakfast sandwich leaving room for me to get out you know we're launching good grief I can't see anything through them windows Wow terrific big river [Music] so we're actually going to be splitting up here shortly the big river ahead of me is going to a different field because it weighs so much that the two little green rivers are going to go to the muddy fields much lighter that they stay afloat and don't get stuck like that thing does here we go the split has begun you going that way we're going north come along Brian keep up we only go about 19 to 20 miles an hour with the quads because we don't like heat the tracks up so much because you can imagine what they cost so here's the field [Music] so we're finally to the field here looks like Brian yesterday sober half done with the little Ripper yeah so you're about to see the most exciting thing that ever happens in tillage putting it in the ground yeah here we go it's in the ground nerds flying yeah oh you gotta go faster whoa okay I think it's working stairs engage oh my gosh the frost is immense gotta raise the front this okay that was way too fast through there grief careful in the broth it's aggressive in the black spots [Music] so in this draw right here where there's combine routes there and blackness water over there the frost has really drove itself in so I slowed down to gears because it the Ripper just really doesn't like it [Music] [Music] so we've already broken a sheer bolt and I've done like four rounds so and the fix here's what the sheer bolt looks like right there they go right here and if you hit a rock or frost chunks about Cheers to prevent damage to other components so we get to fix a little bit here [Music] I hate how they get when they trip back this bolts too tight and they get jammed up like that I was doing rock walk around make sure nothing else is broke when I'm out how levelers are good all the other shanks are good back to it [Music] of course I back into the corners hope wrong button goodnight we go [Music] currently doing the drag of shame at a plugger she plug coming back dogpile I left there now it'll probably plug again as I didn't drag it out far enough big wad going in are you gonna plug no you didn't plug good deal good deal here comes some ice more than so bad I had a bit of a plugger there [Music] after the next one just a mile down here I seem to be working a lot better in this field it's a lot more drained a lot better so the cross did not drive in nearly as bad so I thought that I should touch on why why tillage and not don't tell I know what the comments will be already before I post the video up why would you do that Sierra quizzes did why why would you be out in the heart Frost yes watts are but the reason we do that and everyone in the whole area does that this is very heavy ground we've got very heavy ground if you do not kill it it won't dry in the spring you get that blanket of trash on top and it won't dry let alone all the combine rods but that we've gone through this year where you literally have trenches through your field that you've got to get leveled off for spraying or you're gonna have big trouble so if you can't get till it's done in the spring you have to light your feet'll basically on fire burn off all this trash and then go what they get but then you still have the big ruts and compaction marks from grain carts everything so it's breaking up the compaction allowing more area for the Sun to dry in the spring so we can get out in the field because you got to have the third lumps a lot more surface area for the ground to dry so that's why everyone in this area does tillage yeah do it what central Minnesota still at it it's kind of boring at least there's some excitement like them black bunny spots and water like this we raise for all of our niches so we raised for all of our ditches so that because the rippers kind of drake dirt with them as they're moving in the ground like the dirt flying in the air kind of is traveling and basically you'll fill your ditch right up if you do that enough times over the years and you'll be cleaning ditches more than a guy wants to be and then I'll follow the ditch what we missed will follow it and put a river point right down in the ditch to kind of make make a channel you know water run in this that's off there yeah so we're still out here currently uploading a YouTube video to Brian are you trying to race me I'll show you you're gonna get a win I'm gonna be to the end my ditch don't whine leaving out the ditch is approaching his field and Leonard with why did I volunteer I'm personals where it's set before yeah they do they always look cold sicker than they are and Brian's the guy over there then the all-nighter out there one night we were using these small implements here and I kept saying I can see the fence I should be there in an hour power goes by and I can still see that fence since it's closed now another hour goes by pretty soon 4:00 in the morning no fuel on the tractors and we're stranded finally ended up jumping in welcome to record cuz my tractor literally I don't know how I didn't run out of fuel but yeah that's the field of reactors working on right now shutting her down for the night about 10:30 should easily get done tomorrow that'll be a wrap for 2019 good morning [Music] you'll interrupt best one that's not good hi dad go [Applause] no it's it's it's a new model it runs on sunlight boy I wonder when I lost that it's somewhere out here oopsies so our normal tillage guys taking the day off so we got one of the owners Randy uncle Randy gonna be running the big Ripper today so see how he likes it he likes tillage he does all of a spring tillage normally so I'm just doing a walk-around [Music] making sure not to throw [Applause] make sure now it's rubbing oil leaks or anything oh boy I don't mind he didn't eat work that's mightily disappointing how am I supposed to eat chips drink pop and enjoy a nice warm back [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] now what am I gonna do [Music] boys we got a big traffic jam coming hey grantee how's it going buddy hey grant it's your mom that was almost a major catastrophe rush hour in west central Minnesota here on our way again this is the field that we had the corn reel out the corn was flat in so there's a lot of long stalks that got missed by the corn head especially to andro where the snoot just couldn't pick it all up and even what went through the combine seems to still be intact I don't understand how that's possible but the stalks its a rubbery that somehow that they made it through in the full length of the corns to prep this at a pretty sharp angle to prevent clogging I see one develop looking forward to this field that trash [Music] well there it is the end of tillage for 2019 and there's the food delivery we get food for the drive home awesome
