Friendly fox becomes a household pet

it started off with me going just spending time with him in his pen he he wasn't in the pennies in now easier than a different one and I had a little no sunbathing shelf there I could sit on that and he would wander round and then as he passed me I'd stroke the side of his jaw now that told him that I wanted to be friendly it also told him that I was trusting him because doing that gave him three options he could either reject my caress by turning away accepted or object to it by biting my hand and that last option told him that I wanted trust because if you won't trust you've got to give it so he reciprocated he not immediately ability couple of days later he grabbed my hand but at the same time he rolled on his back putting himself at risk because he wanted show that he was trusting me and if you want trust you've got to give it they know exactly the same as we do the only problem that I have with him being a pet is that it's been impossible to house-train him not because it is impossible to house-train a fox fur because of the practicalities if you have a dog or a cat and it messes in the wrong place will you clear it up and or in the animal in the right direction fox urine has an unfortunate property you can't wash it off if you apply water to fox urine the smell becomes a stench it's bit like switching on the amplifier to disco so you deer not let him have an accident defecation is not a problem but he he knows that it's not a good idea to mess indoors and he's very good he's indoors every evening for seven hours something of that nature and he's basically very very very well behaved yes yes if you're not nice to me about your exit

Let it be known that non-domesticated foxes make terrible pets. Heck, even the domesticated kind seem to be quite a handful

I recommend everyone watching this video to read Pax is a story about a pet fox. Kinda sad at the beginning but a good book!
