welcome back to my channel smoking and grilling and today we make a Creole fried shrimp with meat a B that's right you heard it Creole fried shrimp and what makes it Creole is check this out I'm using this sweet smoky Joe let me go ahead and show you guys right here this is right here so it's gonna give it all of the flavor that right there is it and let me just say this I got several people on my job they from Louisiana and listen they down there deep south in Louisiana I even had them taste it and when they tasted the seasoning right off the back they said hey you got something there and they thought it was something about me I said naw this is sweet smoky Joe's so listen if you've been following this challenge you know we're always talking about I'm always saying stuff like hey listen we're taking a mystery out we're trying to simplify some of these recipes but there's nothing I can do right here I'm just getting ready to make these this is gonna be a quick video and we're getting ready to get right into it and you guys tell me what you think what that being said let's go now I'm a these use an extra large shrimp these already been cut you know already cut down the middle and devein it makes it easy to peel it also so when you peel in look it's best to leave like that little tail on the end and that little section connected to it that way it gives us something sort of like a handle and again just for that this is really going out to the guys that ain't never ever you know did fried shrimp or even work with shrimp before it's real easy and then you just want to continue on as you can see I had already had done half of them and I just finished them up just so you guys can take a look at [Music] now we're getting ready to go ahead and do our get our flower mixed up and this is like super simple listen this flower and then you come with your Creole mix once you put your Creole seasoning in there you want to go ahead and just whisk it all together and make sure it's blended thoroughly after that you've set that aside and we can go ahead and get our egg batter ready so listen this was a pro tip that I had gotten from a subscriber they told me to always crack my egg in a separate bowl before putting them and you know my ingredients that way if the eggs are bad it won't spoil the cook that was brilliant okay right here you just saw me at the two eggs and now I just added a little milk to it and then we're gonna go ahead and add a few dashes of the Louisiana Hot Sauce you can use Tabasco or whatever your favorite hot sauce is and that right there you can see I got that cayenne pepper we're just going to add just a couple of shakes of that in there also now go ahead and just whisk up your eggs you know and all your ingredients you just want to make sure that's you know with you know thoroughly and after that now we can ready to show you the process of just how easy it is to just come up with these magical you know shrimp so this and you grab it grab you by the tail remember we kept that tail on there so listen you just want to go ahead and just traget to your flour mix then we're going to dip it you know in our egg mix then we're gonna go back and read dredge it in the flour and then you want to shake off the excess and after that then you want to add it to your grease notice I laid it in the grease I touch it then I lay it down away from me that keeps the splatter off that's another little pro tip and all the reason I'm doing this you know you only see me doing one right now is that just to show you you know so it's not so proud and this is for all the people you know the beginner people that you don't want to get into making shrimp this is just show it now listen once you become seasoned you can see right here this is a way more unlikely the way we all want to do it you just gonna put it in here you're gonna make sure you got flour on it then you're gonna transfer it over to the egg you wanna make sure it's all completely wet and you come back to the flour and you gonna go from there into your hot crease and again are we gonna drop them in the grease not really drop them we gonna touch them to the grease and then we're gonna lay them away from us so do we all have any splatter real easy and then you just repeat the process until you're done you know cooking all your mushroom [Music] now I want you guys to pay attention there I just put that shrimp in there listen it went down to the bottom when it's about ready listen it rises to the top and then when it rises to the top I look at all of them and then what I do is I flip them and then I let them cook until they get that nice golden brown you know color on both sides and then I want to tell you guys is it doesn't take long you're talking about like 5 to 6 minutes and then just go ahead and shake off the excess oil you just go ahead and put them on a plate that's lined with the paper towel so they can get the excess grease and there you have it right there Creole fried shrimp look at that nice color super crunchy they you can't beat that I will put the full recipe down in the description box below now I want you guys to tell me what you think about that they're super easy huh I can't take none of the credit about simplifying it it is truly just that easy once you've got your grease you know it's the right temperature you go ahead and dip it you wash that color once it becomes golden brown it's nice and crisp you take it out and I got to say this I'm gonna put this up here again this right here let me go ahead and make it sort of focus
