Format date time to ISO 8601 standard using Power Automate | Microsoft Power Automate Tutorials

welcome to the YouTube channel today we will see how to form a date to ISO 8601 in power automatic so we will say three example on this that is how to format SharePoint list date time to ISO 8601 standard and then we will see how to format the Excel date and time to ISO 8601 standard and then at last we will see how to format date time to ISO 8601 standard we will take it manually in manually trigger a flow there we will take the date and time and we will see how to format ISO 8601 standard so first we will see format SharePoint will stay time to ISO 8601 standard so this is my flow here the flow will trigger when an item is created in the second list and my support list is this meetings and we will format this meeting in date and time to ISO format so now let's come back to our flow when we will create an item on that list the flow will trigger and then we add a compose action where we are passing expression so here format date and time function we are passing so here you can see we are passing meeting date field and we are converting to the iso format this is the iso format we are converting the meeting date and time so now let's check the flow so now we will create an item here then It's a grand meeting date let's say 12 times 4 30 p.m meeting ended 13 5 30 p.m meeting location at 10 days as well and I am saving the flow you come back to our flow our floor Ram successfully here you can see and you can see the meeting date I put is 12 7 12 2023 4 30 PM so here you can see 413 is converted to 23 30 and the meeting date is 7 12 it is in ISO format this is how we can convert SharePoint list date and time to ISO format now next move forward to our next topic that is how to format date and time from Excel to ISO 8601 standard Excel date and time to ISO 8601 standard so this flow is manually Twitter so here is my Excel set you can see so here we are passing event name event date and event type then we have after for after formatting the date and time we are where we are adding in this column let's take another one foreign now let's come back to our flow so the flow will manually trigger here with the least rows present in a table it will get all the list and rows from the Excel table and then here we are storing event time and then we convert the date and time to ISO format and because our date and time are in two different columns so here we are using concat method first we are concurring the date and time then we are formatting the date time so first we are formatting the data time to give year month and day and then we are concerning date with time after that we are formatting to the iso format then we will update a row in the Excel like we are updating the event date in ISO format this row we are updating so now let's run the flow and check it now let's move to our last last example that is former date and time to the iso 8601 standard so this is the flow for convert date and time to the iso 868601 standard so here we will take the user input so here we have added uh two field that is date and time as uh here we have taken calendar if we'll see here I have taken this date field and I have to end to get the time I took so text field so while we while we run we will give an user input to this two field and then we will we will convert the data and time to the iso format similarly as uh as our last example we conquered both the date and time and then we formatted it and type it is also similar to that formula also I will show you similarly we here will also we are formatting the date to the particular format that is by mmdt and then we are formatting the time to the this format and then we are merging both the date and time using concat method and then we are formatting the daytime date and time to the iso 8601 standard so date save and let's run the flow here we have to enter the date choose the data as things then enter time run flow your floor and successfully here you can see 430 and the date is 11 2023 7 11 4 30. it is converted to the iso format so that's all for today's video do subscribe to our channel to see free video tutorial on SharePoint online Powers power automatic power wheel and machine learning and many more thanks for watching
