hello everyone welcome to this YouTube channel myself wrestling and in this video we will see how we can create an Excel file from SharePoint list items using power automate and this is how the flow works we should have the SharePoint online list with all the list items and using the flow we will create an Excel file and display all the list items into an Excel file so let's begin so here this is the SharePoint list that I am going to use which consists of product code number product name customer name customer location unit price and few other columns to create an Excel file we should have one blank Excel workbook template to get the file content values and we will use it later in our flow so in this example you can see inside the document Library I have created when blank Excel template workbook which we are going to use it later in our flow so now we will see how to create the Excel file by using the instant cloudflow for that login to the power automate here you can see the create option is presented click on this create option choose the instant Cloud flow here enter the flow name choose the trigger as manually trigger a flow option and click on the create option here you can see the Trigger action has been added now click on the new Step here and we will get all the items from the SharePoint list using the get item section choose the get items configure the SharePoint site address in my case it is communication site and my list name is the product list here you can see so from the drop down you can choose the products list once the SharePoint site address and the list name has been configured select the new step and choose the select data operation and map all the values from the list items here from can choose the dynamic content values here and map the key and value for all the list items that are presented in our SharePoint list here you can see I have entered all the key values now I am going to pass the dynamic content value for the product code number it is the default title column from the SharePoint list and product name for each and everything we have to pass all the values based on the key pair here you can see I have map all the key value pair for all the columns presented in the SharePoint list now after that we will create a CSV table based on the output of the select Action Now pass the output of the select data operation here so it creates a CSV table now we will add the compose action to split the values from the CSV table for that here I am going to pass this expression in this compose section here you can see I am going to split this ESV table values by using the comma separated so copy this expression and paste it under the expression Tab and click OK and rename the compose action by now we will add another compose action to get the column headers that we want to display it in our Excel so here also we are going to get all the first files from the CSV table for that simply copy this expression and paste it under the expression Tab and click ok now we will see how to get the file content value to create the file for that select file content action for the SharePoint list and configure this site address and here pass the identifier that we have created in our SharePoint document Library the Excel template configure this Excel template to get the file content value select new step and choose the create file action the SharePoint configure the site address and choose the folder path where you want to create the file here I am going to select the document library and enter the file name here can pass do it and click OK and pass the extension file and in the file content you can see dynamically we are getting this file content value so under get file contents choose the file content option here now add new Step create a table and choose create table action for Excel online business select the location here I am going to choose the communication site page in this location we have to select the share Point side and in this document Library we can choose the path where we want to create the table here I am going to choose it is in the document library and in this file you can see the create file action shows the ID and the table range based on this select action we have to pass this table range for that here I have nine columns so I am passing the table range value based on that and pass the table name and in for the column names we can get the output of this get column headers data operation here you can see pass this output value dynamically now add apply to each control look through all the items that are presented in the SharePoint list in this output here we are going to pass the output of this select Action Now we will add action to add a row in our Excel table now configure this location choose the document Library here documents in the file field we pass the ID of the file and in the table name we will pass the name of the table under the create cable action and in this row we will pass the current item to Loop through all the items from the SharePoint list our flow has been ready now click on the save button here select test option here choose manually test and it is asking for sign in for SharePoint and Excel click continue here and choose the Run flow option our flow is running and it is looping through all the items here you can see in our SharePoint list we have 20 list items and it is looping through all the 20 list items in our apply to each action you can see our floor ran successfully with all the list items presented in our SharePoint online list now we will go to our SharePoint document Library we will refresh our SharePoint document library page and here you can see one new Excel has been created open this Excel file and here you can see all the list items has been exported from the SharePoint list and displayed in the Excel file you can see all the 20 SharePoint list items has been exported to our to our new Excel file the Excel table and the row values this is how we can create an Excel file from SharePoint list items using the power automate flow I hope you like this video and these are the
