hey what's up everyone my name is Evan I'm a computer engineering student at the pon cfic University of Salam Mona and in today's video we're going to discover this four steps for you to achieve your goals now in 2024 instead of ending up like in 2023 or 2022 and stay tuned because the step number four is what help me achieve one of my childhood dreams of becoming a top two student now in the past 2023 and hopefully in 2024 and also start my YouTube channel which you're watching right now so yeah without any further Ado let's get into it now the very first step is what I like to call The Wheel of Life this is a concept that I learned from Ali abdal and it basically means that your life is divided in three different categories your relationships your work and your health now inside of each of these three categories you actually have another three categories and as you can see on the screen we can actually represent this in a graphical way so that we have a chart a pie chart in which we divide Our Lives into nine different categories in my case we have the soul Romans family friends and all of this stuff and you can see that my mind I have gave it a score of nine because I think that this year I have put a lot of work and I have achieved a a lot of results in my mind and maybe some like romance I I'll give it a five because it didn't go that well and then maybe Mission and growth I have a nine on there I have a score a nine in my opinion of course because all of this is subjective you give it the score that you want it's it's not really a scientific or exact method so you just give it a score that you feel like you have done that year and you just more or less see how much improvement you have made and to help you guys with this step I've actually left a notion template on the link of the description below that you can use in order to answer a couple of questions to get to see how much you have improved and how much progress you have made this year in those areas of want to create a graph of the areas of my life and go and fill them up like a kid okay let me explain the other day I was having dinner with one of my friends Rodrigo if you're watching this I'll say hi to you and he told me well I want to read more this year and I told him okay how much are you reading he said I don't know and I said well how much do you want to read how many books do you want to read he said I don't know I just want to read more and that's the moment when I realized okay how do you want to read more if by the time that you're doing this you don't know how much you're reading at the moment or how much you want to read what's your goal I mean you don't know where to get you don't even know where you're starting from so how do you quantify how much progress you have made that year so that's very important you need to have a specific goal that you need to quantify objectively so that you can see how much progress you have made in that year what we're doing right now is giving us a score based on something subjective that we have gave a score to but we have something to start from okay we have a score which we can start from there and see how much improvement can we make in this same year 2024 okay now that we have painted our graph we can go into step number two which is actually forgetting about your goals because they're step number two is set up systems not goals the main problem that you'll find with goal setting is that they set result based goals and not Performance Based goals let me explain okay most goals that people set are outside of their control let's say that I want to get 10,000 followers on Instagram or 10,000 subscribers in YouTube okay that's a goal that I want to have but that's not something that is inside of my control a better way to look at this is to actually set systems okay based your goals on performance if I look at the statistics probably for me to get my first thousand subscribers on YouTube I will take I don't know about 100 videos so instead of saying I want a th000 subscribers on my YouTube channel I should say something like I want to get 100 videos in so maybe after that 100 videos which is a performance-based goal is something that is inside of my control something that I can do I may get to 1,000 subscribers or not or maybe I exceed that I don't know but by setting the goal based on performance I actually have some sort of control over the goal that I have set for myself and remember the words of markers are realist accept the things that you cannot change and change the things that you cannot accept and now that we know what kind of goals and what kind of systems we want to set for our 2024 we actually want to break them down into weekly basis because consistency will be the key for you to achieve those goals that you have set for yourself and by breaking them down into weekly basis you will need to do a certain task each week so that you can accomplish that goal in a smaller scale if you have said yourself the big big goal of I don't know like making 100 videos we have started right okay we have a goal performance base but if you don't set yourself to do I don't know one video a week or one video every 3 days or something like that in order to achieve that goal you will just have a vague goal laying around that it's in the back of your mind but you will not actually execute it you need to have a small goal a small weekly goal that you can accomplish each week in order for you to get to that big goal that you want to get done in 2024 and for that I also left you a notion template down below it's called the minimal weekly task template or something like that that is completely free you can download it for free down in the description below in my case I want to be a better YouTuber this year I want to get a bigger audience so what is the thing what is the system what is the task that I have set my for myself this 2024 well what I have done is set myself the goal of uploading one video a week this is a system that I have this is a task that I can do every single week in order to achieve the Big Goal that I want in 2024 which is being a better YouTuber or whatever you want to call it and it is something trackable that I can do every single week that I can see with my own eyes that I have made progress towards that goal so that this way I don't have any excuses of saying I don't know where to start I don't know where to grab this goal from I know right now that I have this goal and I need to take these steps in order to get to that goal and I'll execute it every single week so that I stay on track and that's something you should do as well okay now that we have readen all of our recurring tasks for each week in order to accomplish our goals we have to prioritize them and that's where step number three comes in which is Task prioritization now in order to help you categorize and to prioritize your task there's this thing called The hasenberg Matrix probably made by someone who is called hasenberg you're godamn right now what this hazenberg Matrix tells us is that you can divide your task your everyday task into four categories okay so you have the Urgent tasks the important task the non-important task and the non-urgent tasks now if we put them into a matrix horizontally and vertically we have four boxes okay in these four boxes we can place all of our task in this case the most important task for you will be the task that will get you closer to your goal each week and as you can see on the screen right now we have actually build that Matrix inside of notion you can already start to see how much I like notion and this is also linked in the description below so in this case we want to say that I want to film one video a week okay this will be a urgent task that is important for me so I will put it in the top left corner like film video or whatever in your case in might be I don't know going to the gym three times a week which it's my goal also so let's say three times gym and we'll put it up there now those tasks that are not important and Urgent are the ones that go on the right on here these are the second level tasks that you need to accomplish and they're not really important but you need to get them out of the way let's say I don't know return an item on Amazon so we'll put it on there return Amazon and then we have the non urgent but important okay these are task that you need to do no questions asked but they're on the long run they are not urgent at the moment so you put it on here and the level of importance of these task are level three so once you have completed level one then level two then you get to level three so in this case I don't know it might be getting a haircut so getting a haircut but then we get to category number four this is the low lest lowest level of importance and these are the tasks that if you can delegate them to someone else please do it please do it right away okay in this case I don't know it might be taking out trash take out trash so you can tell your sister to do it or whatever I don't know so there's your hen Burg Matrix that you can look at every single day to see the goals that you have for your week and you can go and accomplish each of them in order of importance and also here in the template you can also see all the task ungrouped and also the progress Bar for a year month and week that I like a lot so yeah there's that it's in the link in the description now we get into the most important step step number four tracking if you would take anything from this video I would like it to be this one okay you can forget about all of these steps prior but this one this is the most important one because what is not tracked is always forgotten and in this case we're going to track our goals like habits because these are habits that we do on a daily or weekly basis in my case I like to do them daily and I have already created a notion habit tracker so we're going to use that one and if you have not created a notion havy tracker and you want to create one I have a video up here in which I explain deeply how you can create one or you can go in the link in the description below and download it yourself so we're just going to go into our notion haby tracker and as you can see on the screen this is my notion haby tracker in this case right now I have exercise personal projects meditation and teching creatine as four of the most important habits that I want to get done every single day so that I have achieve my goals by the end of 2024 but obviously I have more goals but I'll go adding them as time passes and I see that I'm able to accomplish my goals like maybe for example if I'm able to achieve four of my goals every single day for an entire week I'll go and add a new one so as you can see my Stak is pretty good right now since the 31st of December I've made all of my habits every single day today I have two left which I'll accomplish right after filming this video and if I finish this week right I'll go and add another one and then if I complete that one also I go and add another one and this is this is the approach that you want to have in terms of habits you don't want to get into all of your 10 20 habits all at once because you're going to crash okay what you want to do is to do this one habit every single day and if you do it right for a week then go in at another one and if you're able to accomplish those two habits it's straight for entire we go and add another one another one and another one and this is how you accomplish getting a new habit into your life and building habits throughout your entire life and also there's a progress bar that I really really love and you can see the progress that you have made in the week so yeah that will motivate you a little bit more just to accomplish your goals every single week so yeah that was a quick tutorial and no BS guide of how to accomplish your goals in 2024 and this is actually how I'm going to approach mine so yeah take that as you want and I always remember I can motivate you all I want but at the end of the day
