hello 2024 Happy New Year my loves I get it the start of a new year can feel a little bit daunting and I know it's so easy to compare yourself to others who had the best year who's got the most goals everyone's sharing their highlight re right now and so this is your reminder to be gentle with yourself you are exactly where you need to be right now everyone's on a different journey I want to take you along we're going to be doing some goal planning 2024 together here is my little guide on how to make 2024 the best year yet how to actually strategically goal plan and stick to the new habits that you set yourself it is so easy to write down a really long list of 10 new goals and then inevitably you're going to get a little overwhelmed you might keep up with them for a week maybe a month but then when you start to follow of course it's going to make you feel worse you'll give up all together and yep I've been there so so I'm going to show you guys my tips and tricks of how to set yourself up for Success this year we are making actionable goals with systems in place to help us achieve whatever goal it is no matter how big or how little welcome to part one of this little working towards being the best version of you for 2024 series as you guys know today we're concentrating on setting ourselves up for success with Goal planning vision boards setting healthy habits like all of that good stuff now whilst pulling a bunch of aesthetic photos from Pinterest and sticking them on a board and writing out a bunch of numerical you know your dream goals thinking big like all of that is good it's fun but if anything this past year has taught me in order to reach and attain these really big scary goals we set for ourselves and set up these systems of healthy habits you actually need to be a lot more strategic and have a plan and how you show up for yourself on the daily that's something I really want to improve for 2024 and I have made a better upgraded sexier little notion will get you 20% off I have purposely been putting off like going through my goals I'm going to do it today and we're going to do it together I am so excited for a FES start why I even see a point in doing all of this I think it is really nice to like sit yourself down for an hour check in with yourself remember if this year wasn't like the grandest year not every single year it has to be a a big milestone year where you achieved so much or so much in your life changed okay so here we go before we even start thinking about 20124 what we want from 2024 it is so important to check in with yourself and reflect on the past year now don't be harsh on yourself if the images on your vision board didn't come true you didn't achieve a load of your goals some goals take more time and that is completely fine I love to look back on the previous year by doing a little bit of journaling so in my notion planner there are some 2023 reflection prompts questions like list the top achievements or Milestones that you reached in 2023 how have your relationships evolved in the past year how can I change my environment or bad habits to get where I want to be this is one of my favorite ones to really think about what habits do you want to break and then as well list good habits that actually made a difference what habit have you managed to keep up with this year and have been worth your time that you want to carry on into the next year what new things have you learned about yourself do you think you've changed over this year and what were the biggest challenges you faced in 2023 and what did you learn from them okay so I just spent some time going through my little Journal prompts and I feel like it's kind of given me the inspiration to start proper go planning for 2024 but I thought it'd be nice to get out of the house so I'm going to take my laptop to a little coffee shop treat myself to a little coffee yeah just put myself in a new environment to kind of feel more inspired I [Music] [Applause] [Music] guess okay we're back I feel like last year I only did three categories like personal work and finance but this year we have personal work Wellness finance and relationships Sorry ma' by last year I feel like I set myself a lot of goals that weren't necessarily the most measurable with work sometimes having numerical goals can be a good thing and a bad thing cuz you can like you can go in and take them off when they happen that is why it's really good to have a little strategic plan each month in order to be able to break up those big goals into more like measurable easier chunks that aren't as overwhelming each year something I really like to do is kind of set myself a theme or a word for the year that really encompasses what I'm trying to do and last year's word was create that's definitely very self-explanatory obviously I make YouTube videos and I create content all the time and it was my first time doing that fulltime December last year I even got crate tattooed on my hip shows the dedication to be fair I don't think I'll get the word connect tattooed on me this year but connect for me is taking it a whole step further and it isn't just career just kind of feels like the perfect word for me right now with where I'm up to in life things I want to work on to be more connected to the people in my life the city I'm in being more connected to like my home life and I feel like me genuinely as a person and then of course Connection in terms of what I do the more I can connect with you guys my community anyway let me just jump into some of my goals starting with Finance I didn't want to put too many but I want to I've started using monzo the bank the app one of the best apps to really help you understand your spending like where your money goes every single month I I have always been terrible about that I'm the kind of person who's like oh you spent x amount this month I don't want to know that or how much do you spend a month on food I don't know I don't want to know that I don't want to check I want to work on my Financial Health this year I think I could save more Save More in like a personal sense and also I want to contribute more to my pension personal I have quite a few so I'm going to go through them quick go on a solo trip I look up to people so much to do this I never thought I could be the person to do this I want to be able to say that I've tried even if it's just a little weekend away I'll be really proud of myself hold me accountable to that one wedding planning is starting in January my sister got me um like a really really beautiful wedding planning book which has motivated me to crack on I want to keep up acting I love love acting when we talk about big goals and I'm not really touching on that in this video though I do think it's important for you to like check in with what your big goals are I think it would be amazing to work in more traditional media like take this to that kind of level one day I think I need a hobby that's also creative and like not putting pressure on it to monetize it or make it a job that's not what I'm saying but yeah I really really enjoy acting byy in London listen the wedding and byy in London both of these were like my top goals for 2023 and neither of them have happened wedding planning was meant to happen after we bought a house or a flap a flat it's London let's be for real you cannot wait for perfect timing I have so learned this year like you just have to go and get it I want to listen to a self-help audio book a month hopefully like one a month I feel like I can do that I don't love reading self-help books I wish I did but I can never finish them properly or they take me absolutely ages I way prefer reading fictional books work on my daily appearance a bit more be more accepting of my appearance I spoke about it it was more around summertime I was kind of battling like body image issues just not loving myself I dyed my hair dark brown I got like extensions in I had a little makeover and I can't lie like something that triggered that was not being very happy Within Myself of course I I already knew that that wasn't going to go and fix everything of course it wasn't coming to the end of the year I I do feel a bit more like loving of myself accepting of myself but it's something I want to get better at this year I've tried to go more natural with my look like last year I had eyelash extensions for most of the year and then I was like dyeing my hair blonde I'm trying to be more accepting with myself as like my natural self get better at keeping my my home clean I need to get way better at that set better boundaries with myself and don't just live to Vlog huge lesson this year for me a lot of stuff I do I will do it because it's interesting for a video which a lot of the time is fine but also I catch myself in moments of like you're living to then go post it online which is not an authentic way of living at all so yeah that's what I mean by that I would love to like join a boot club or maybe a group sport thing where like I meet new people and just embraced being in my mid 20s I turned 25 this year work goals um this is so so vague but I want to like stick to a productivity system that's actually going to help me be more organized feel like so much stuff this year hasn't happened or like I'm a crammer I'm such a last minutor I know I come off as organized and I've got my together online but I have always been this way where like I I'm not lazy I will will get the job done and I pride myself as a hard worker but I have never been naturally organized and when I use things like notion or the template I've designed like feel my life just it feels a lot more in control so actions for that are like on a weekly basis being more consistent with using notion website I have a website Bloom with becca.com but it's really ugly I did it in such a rush so that's like a big project I want to work on this here I want to hit 50k on Instagram I'm going to put that out there I'm not just going to say oh grow on socials I'm going to actually put a numerical number to it same with 400k on YouTube yeah whilst growth is not as important for me anymore it's more about actually building a connection with you guys um those are still numbers I would love to hit okay podcast two big things I would love to get my first sponsor for the podcast and also I would absolutely love to create some sort of merch for the podcast merch is something like I wouldn't really want to do for my channel but I think it' be really cute for just like the bloom with Becca community and then just be invited to more like cool events like influencer activations I did a brand trip this past year which was incredible health and wellness I want to build muscle and just like be more confident in the gym by myself I need to be eating more protein on my diet just kind of fueling my body a bit more I want to do more cardio just really releases so many endorphins I love running I want to do that more and yeah be more consistent with healthy eating I feel like I go through I'll go through phases of being really good and loads of home cooking and then I'll get stuck in a rot of not it's about your 8020 right like you can still be doing both this balance relationships this is my first time having this as a category for me I want to go home more and then similar kind of thing make more effort to meet people in London my little wish list for 2024 so this can be like books you want to read places to visit majority of mine are just places I want to go to I would love to go to Greece I haven't been in a few years I would also love to do a little trip to Cornwall it's just like that's so easy and it's a really nice thing to do with the dog South Korea South Korea was on my wish list for 2023 and it just didn't happen which is okay cuz I can look back on this year and I feel like I did so much traveling which is amazing and South Korea is like a huge trip this is very vague but hopefully if we buy a place in London then the biggest wish list in terms of like a materialistic thing is taking my time with decorating our place and like getting nice furniture that I feel like is timeless are good quality pieces but anyway spilled the tea those are my goals for [Music] 2024 okay it's later on in the day but but we're going to get all cozy and move on to the vision board which I'm so excited to make I feel like last year's I I definitely tend to just like rush it I wanted to show you I got this mug how cute this from Urban out fairies and it has I don't know if that's a cat okay let's talk routines I'm building healthy habits I think the thing to remember is how important stacking is probably the most important lesson when it comes to healthy habits is remembering that you cannot just go ahead and expect everything to change overnight it is so unrealistic to set yourself the goal of 10 healthy habits starting tomorrow the 1% better everyday system is the way to go I love filming like seasonal routines my morning routine my evening routine and a lot of them are very much for the purpose of like being relaxing to watch on the day today I do not do do those 20 steps and so my Approach and definitely an approach I want to stick to next year is just simplifying it having like three non-negotiable habits for the morning and for the evening make it as easy as you can to integrate it into your daily routine this is why pick like three non-negotiables three habits that actually you think are going to make a really big difference say it's like vitamins you want to start taking a little tip I have is putting it somewhere where you're never going to miss it in the morning it's not like the extra effort to think of it or to remember to do it so something you know you're never going to forget to do is brush your teeth now I know keeping your multivitamins or something by your toothbrush is a little bit weird but if it is something you do for first few days and then you will find yourself getting in the habit of taking it getting in the habit the night before to always put your workout clothes out it's like one less obstacle one less excuse another tip so important to track your progress and that's why little habit trackers are really nice it's a nice sort of reward system and then also a reminder if like maybe you haven't actually been keeping up with that habit as much as you thought you were my notion planner has a habit tracker or you can literally just write it down in your notes using technology is a really good way to like help with actually developing these habits okay so I decided my three non-negotiables for my morning routine I talk about it in my morning routines but the amount of mornings where I actually practice this are minimal and that is 30 minutes no phone because your brain has just woken up and you want that like easy dopamine so instead I'm going to set my Sunset lamp on like the brightest setting then second habit that I have been good at this year it's something I don't do every single morning and that's take my ag1 and then number three is movement I am not going to work out 7 days a week obviously not so the days where I I want to aim for four but the days where I'm not I want to take mchi out for like a longer dog walk or do some stretching evening I would love to get in the habit of spending 5 minutes of my evening this sounds so silly but I think it will help me massively just doing a brain dump and writing out what I need to do tomorrow it doesn't have to be like my time blocking that can happen in the morning but the amount of evenings I found this past year where like I don't feel fully finished with my workday or I'm still thinking about things or I'm thinking about like how much I have to do tomorrow I think being a lot more tactical with my planning will help me out a lot I would love to do a little like half hour digital detox before bed and then that's like the perfect time for reading even if it's just like quality time with Will doing my skin care without any digital stimulation then one I want to try is not talking about work after [Music] .m. close of the curtain stay on the [Music] phone we are the [Music] monsters holding you still We Are The Gallows up [Music] theill answer okay it's finished I don't think I've ever thought about every single photo having a meaning behind it a lot of the time with past years and stuff I will just literally type in like vision board aesthetic photos into Pinterest and that's where I recommend there's like tons of photos going on here and every single one has been chosen for a reason making sure you do put in even a couple photos of you like photos you really like whether they're really special moments for me I've got like my 25th birthday when we went on the unplugged digital detox cabin trip I went on a brand trip I don't know you should celebrate like how far you've come it with vision boards and manifestation it can't just be a thing of like where you're working towards and if you just stick things on here like a million dooll house those goals are not going to feel attainable they're going to feel like 10 years away from now frankly you might feel discouraged so by popping some of your photos in there I almost feels like progress I found Daisy Jones on the 6 was a TV show that I just fell in love with this past year there's like a little quote from the book I also read the book this year I am not amused I am the somebody and a story there's like some acting stuff wedding stuff Fitness Wellness goals little keys for a new home traveling even have like a little photo from friends and remember manifestation isn't just like wishing for these things to happen is training your body and your mind to make these things happen
