rev up your engines well Ford's CEO Jim Farley at again now he said I'm rethinking we're going to build cars after the crippling U aw strike as the saying goes are you threatening me they're threatening will'll leave the United States right they already build a whole bunch of stuff in Mexico right all the Mavericks are built Mexico all the electric in quotes Mustangs the electric ones they're made in Mexico and here's the stinker of it you can see these guys got their hands in all kinds of different deals because all that tax credit and stuff for electric cars it includes cars made in Mexico because they call it North America now the bill in Washington was supposed to help Americans United States citizens get good jobs and keep manufacturing here right including Mexico doesn't really count to me I mean I can understand including Canada they're pretty much the same as Americans you know I've had Canadian built cars they were excellent right the Mexican built ones they leave much to be desired Farley saying well we build our big trucks here in the United States man maybe we'll start moving in the Mexico too just like GM did all I got to say Jim Farley is you better get your butt and gear and start making quality control because you're making some pretty crappy Vehicles three years in a row they LED all manufacturers in the United States for recalls engines blowing up valves bending Electronics going haywire right fix your own sh before you start whining make him right you know people buy him if they made right at the right price well other day guy came to me he bought a used Ram truck and I said I don't like Ram trucks but he but used one I said why' you buy a ram truck he said you know why cuz I like luxury trucks he said and I went to the Ford dealer and the luxury F-150 that I liked was $81,000 so I about to use Dodge for 25 well I can't blame him on that one now here's one that I can't help but laugh at Tesla collapsed as investors wondering if it's still make magificent well they picked them as one of The Magnificent Seven the top you know high tech stocks right well so far this year the stock is down 24% the S&P they picked Tesla is one of the top seven high-tech stocks right been driving the S&P up right all these high-tech stock well now hey down 24% already this year and we're only in the second month things aren't boating all that well it looks like the bubble is finally starting to bust on expensive electric cars the Rich that wanted them bought them the people that bought them and find out they hate electric cars got rid of them it's not going to be this growth growth growth yeah they keep growing until they get to the moon you know it doesn't work that way only a certain amount of people want something are going to buy it and then after that they got a bunch of them lying around that nobody wants to buy how long can the government subsidize this crap they're basically taking tax dollars and they're giving it to these corporations indirectly you get a tax break but the money goes to buying the car right I don't understand how the government gets involved in subsidizing car purchasing for the United States to me it's just absurd especially expensive cars like that too you know it's like well I guess so we're subsidizing the rich some more even more they already have all the tax breaks but now hey let's subsidize the cars they buy too oh that sounds like a great idea let's have another cigar and a glass of champagne right well maybe the champagne and cigar days are going away for Tesla and all I got to say is not too soon as far as I'm concerned should have happened earlier Scotty 609 says maybe I'm superstitious but is it better to store my car outside backed into the driveway or pulled in I'm only concerned about longevity of car paint tires Etc don't matter which way you park it it's just sitting there right I mean try to stay away from trees if you got to lean to park it so the sun doesn't shineing on it that much but one thing you might want to be concerned about is having your car stolen right now guys will tow cars away all the time and steal them with a tow truck so in that case you're better off backing in putting on your emergency brake and it's much harder to steal them that way than it is to just pick up the back of the car with the emergency brakes on and drag it away so if you back it in it's harder to steal them that way with a tow truck they're backed in it's a harder deal the reels are going to be locked cuz you got your emergency brake remember to put your emergency brake on and then people may not steal your car otherwise it doesn't really matter which way to park it now let's face it if you're not a morning person back it in first and then when you get up in the morning you don't have to think about backing and looking you're going forward right so if you're not a morning person perhaps back it in so you don't run into something when you get out kjun says Scotty what do you think of CVT transmissions will they last Numero Uno I'm not a fan because I don't like the way they shift they're kind of sloppy they're acceleration is slower the modern Toyotas a lot of them are much better cuz they have a launch gear the CVT transmission has an actual first real gear that meshes in and drives it and once you're out of first gear it shifts back to an automatic CVT and then of course it has this acceleration it'll take off great in first gear but then once you're into the CVT it doesn't accelerate quite well so when you're on the highway and you want to pass something and you step on it it goes and goes faster but it doesn't accelerate like a regular geared automatic transmission does that will shift down a gear lower when you're passing people so I just don't like them now as to will they the Toyotas at least in the last 8 10 years they seem to have not that many problems and the Really newer Hondas don't seem to have that many problems right jackco Nissan ones are absolute piles of junk the American ones are pretty crappy too I wouldn't buy one of those so I wouldn't buy the cars anyways and having a CVT that they make makes it even more that I'd never buy one of those things but I personally like either manual transmission or automatic with real gears in it it just feels better and take Toyota noas I've seen there four and six-speed automatics go half a million miles and still be original and work okay I never see that out of the cvts Arizona Wildcat says I can't tighten my harmonic balancer Bol I have a 2,000 Jeep Cherokee I remove the harmonic pulley when I installed it the bolt doesn't tighten all the way it gets to a point and then it releases what's the best way to get it back in I believe the threads are worn well the threads aren't worn they're what's called strips and what's happening is you're tighten it to a certain extent and then boom first things first take the bolt out look at it and pray that the bolt itself has threads and then the next threads are all stripped and if that's the case great buy a new bolt and put it in maybe put a little Loctite on it to seal it in right now let's say the bolts okay that means you have now stripped the threads inside the crankshaft and if that's the case you're pretty much screwed you'd have to put a new crankshaft in take the whole engine it's a pain in the butt now if you know any really good mechanics you might ask them could you please please please try to rethread that inside the crank and put an oversized bolt on it now the problem is crankshafts are heat treated steel so they're super hard and it's often very hard to rethread them on the vehicle but if you could find somebody who did that's really only other option other than if you want a kind of a sloppy way and it might last a while I've SE people do it is get some JB quick weld it's 22 bxy mix it up put it on the threads quick tighten it in and leave it let it dry overnight I've seen that last for years and it won't come out that's pretty good sealer now of course it's not the same as having all the threads as TI are supposed to be but what the heck rather than having to replace the whole engine or rebuild it sometimes that will hold it in for years I've seen it happened with people I've seen it so it's it's worth a try if everything else fails here's something you have to see to believe but I believe it because it was a Ford dealership so this woman here she had a Ford and was only a few months old she took it in for an oil change and then when she went to get it back it was all smashed in like this because the GU working at the Ford dealer I guess drove it out to get launch at McDonald's or something and they got involved in a wreck so she took to the Ford dealer because they had that free oil change for new cars right what did they do they also smashed their car up for free and they refused to pay for it it got in a front end wreck and this was in Texas and these insurance companies do this deal where they put blame on each side if they think there is so they said 30% of the blame was on a driver who worked for the for dealership right and the for dealership said we're not paying for it and so hey they took a car out they smashed it up and then they're saying oh we're not going to pay cuz we don't think we're liable for 30% it was the other person's fault right there guys are driving the car therefore they are liable for anything that happens any car dealership is supposed to have insurance for when their guys drive other people's cars right they get Blanket Insurance my father had it when he ran a gas station even way back in the day so that we could drive any of the customer's cars and if something happened there's Insurance that's covering it right well this guys at the Ford dealership they either sleev bags and they wouldn't use their insurance or they didn't have it at all either way they're responsible for it typical at Ford dealer you know they just want to make money and if they got to pay out money they don't want to pay out money at all the guy was driving a vehicle they're responsible they should paay for it on the other hand I've seen this happen and it's not that fault let's say your car is left at a dealership in the Backlot in a Fen in area if somebody cuts the lock to the fence and then vandalizes or steals your car while it's there you have to use your own insurance because they show good faith they had it locked in the gate and if somebody broke in and stole it that's just like your car broken in while you're parked on the street right then you'd have to pay it not them now that makes sense but this their guys s driving the car they smashed it up and they refused to pay for it back in my hometown of Houston I feel sorry for this woman but you know what I say don't ever buy another Ford teach them a lesson and all you people that are watching this shame the Ford dealers that do stuff like that so if you never want to miss another one of my new car repair videos remember to ring that [Music] Bell
