me extra excited like that i don't know man um we back with some more food wars bro and her my calculations i think the u.s has been losing in these food wars man i i think the last couple of ones we've been doing bro maybe all the ones i can't really remember but i think we've been losing u.s has been losing you know what i mean um yeah i gotta do better bro i definitely gotta do better about my eating man i made a conscious decision july 1st i started doing a lot better um cut out a lot of meats man that that takes your body a lot of time to digest i cut i cut a lot of that stuff out i'm just hoping i don't purge later you know how it is you start you're like oh no meats know this cutting out i'm gonna do right eat better and then you do good for about a couple months and then all of a sudden it just hits you you don't know if it's one night you eat this steak and then the next thing you know you you you you're on skid row somewhere and you got barbecue stains all on your shirt you got you know what i mean you smell like steak and you smell like ribs and everything like that you're like what happened he's like i don't know i just lost myself somewhere in life that's what usually happens but now i'm just trying to do better so but today's food wars is gonna be us versus uk subway all right real quick what's your favorite subway meal real quick put in the comment section for me italian bmt it's my go-to and then when i stop with the pork so much then i switched it over to like just like the regular chicken just the plain chicken there that they would use for like the chicken bacon ranch sandwich i just get the chicken and then i just put like loaded up with veggies and everything else like that so but yeah the italian bmt used to be my go-to bro and then roast beef was a go-to for a minute too but then they stopped like some places stopped doing a road beep like subway getting real bougie out here if you come think about it i try to be real bougie stop it stop it you know what i mean i wasn't bougie back in the day when when blimpy was around and y'all was trying to outdo blimpy who remember blippi man limpy used to be that go-to spot too don't act like y'all don't remember limpy was that spot um that's a that's actually where i started out with my sandwiches because growing up as a kid i really didn't do the sandwiches like that man other than a pb j and a bologna sandwich that was my go-to pb j baloney i didn't do sandwiches until i got older and i started you know what i'm saying expanding my palette look at me saying words like palette i started expanding my palate and i got into like the subways and the blimpies but the blimpies with the first spot so but anyway man we're gonna get into this video man so if you're new to the haters know all right let's take the video out from calorie counter portion sizes we wanted to find out all the differences between subway in the uk and the us this is food wars the subway in the uk you can get sandwiches in four different sizes firstly we have toasted bites a six inch third a footlong sub and then you can get a platter and in the us we have three sizes the six inch [Music] the footlong yeah you go for you and your team what's the big boy party platter if you wear if you ever work in an office building then this this thing right here whenever y'all have an office party is your friend that's what they bring you right there one of them i was calling them choke sandwiches because by the time they get to you the bread is what it is and they don't provide you with like the toppings you would want so i call it like a choke sandwich you're gonna choke that down real quick hurry up and throw some water on just try to survive it you try to survive it subway platypus now in the uk a platter looks like this what they do is they make four foot long sandwiches and they cut those into fours so you're left with 16 pieces each of which is three inches and for the party platter here they take five sandwiches cutting them into three pieces giving you 15 sandwiches total in addition in the us you can also get yourself a three foot long party sub look at this thing this is ridiculous uh three feet so that is a setting what you got in the uk when did they do that i never that was a thing because i think i've seen it advertised in there but i've never really seen anybody get it so it's like you know what i mean like just some something that you just see that you i didn't think it was real i i didn't think i've never seen nobody order that like who's ordering that bro who's ordering that i've never seen nobody get it so i just never really paid no attention to it sheesh 17 meters i have no idea yeah wow now in the uk drinks at subway come in two sizes we have a regular which is 400 milliliters 20 ounce spray it would up and we have a large 30 ounce boom if you're really thirsty 40 ounces of soda 40 ounces is a little over three cans of soda that is way too much soda way too much just too much if you're a fan of subways cookies in the uk those come in three sizes we can't breeze past that a little over three cans of soda how many of y'all like me and can knock them off like like a a mob person with knockoffs for somebody that owe them money i would knock that thing off like it was nothing bro are you serious that was literally three cans of soda bro i'm horrible i ain't doing it now but back in the day bro that was nothing to fill that up with soda or juice kill that instantly before i make it home that was done this is too much if you're a fan of subways cookies in the uk those come in three sizes one cookie three cookies four 12 cookies wow in the us subway you can get a single cookie [Music] a dozen cookies right like that or [Music] hang on keep rolling the [Music] 36 cookie platter booyah like in vegas baby all in we want to make sure that you're getting the same amount of filling as you do in the us here in the uk so what we've got here is a foot long italian bnt on hearty italian with lettuce and olives we're going to weigh it to see if the quantities are the same all right dmt [Music] so the weights are pretty similar what we're going to do is take them apart and see how it all adds up [Music] [Applause] [Music] so when it comes to the amount of filling that you get in your subs it looks like the uk and the us are actually pretty identical or if you like me when they're making your sandwich back before they would do like more extra meat or whatever and they charged you for it you used to before then you could be like yo just add a little more lettuce can i get a little more meat let me get a little more of this on there let me get more this on there and your sandwich goes from looking like that to like a double sandwich and it's hard for them to really close it and they gotta really mash on it like they trying to close the suitcase down and then they cut it and then they hurry up and wrap it trying to keep it all in yeah that's that's when you know a good sandwich man and then you put the oil in vinegar and it's running down the sides of it oh my gosh that thing is oh my god i can just fall asleep thinking about it it's all about calories we found out that the most popular summit subway is actually the turkey breasts are so if you were to walk into a uk subway and order a regular turkey breast sub and then making a meal by including a regular drink and a cookie you'll be looking at 621 calories that same order in the us is 690 calories now the sub itself is actually less calories it's only 250 but the drink the medium coke is around 240 and the cookie is 200 calories but wait according to the internet in the us the default actually comes with two cookies which brings it to a grand total of 890 calories what about the calories in another sub well in the uk six inches of meatball marinara comes in at 492 calories in the u.s six inch meatball there's only 430 calories yo now because we're not sure why our meatball serve is more calorific we're actually going to do another test we're going to bring back our friend the scales and we're going to weigh a meatball delicious boom and now i will also weigh one meatball i'll find a good one don't want the sauce to throw out these measurements getting real close get in real close over there ready you close close here we go drum roll and uh how much is it no change our scale is not very accurate sorry let's get that weight up on the screen unfortunately subway in the uk doesn't disclose a full ingredients list however there are some things we can glean from the website in the uk the ham turkey breast and steak that you'll find in your sandwiches are actually formed the turkey bologna and the turkey salami are also made by a process known as mechanically separated turkey mechanic that don't sound good at all that sounds like a cancer did that not just sound like cancer to y'all and i uh informed what is form to mean huh what is what is somebody tell me what formed it means point from the allergens list in the uk we can also see that our meatballs contain milk although it's not clear if the meatballs contain the milk or if it just comes with cheese by default we do have the ingredients list of the meatball sandwich at subway and i'll read that to you right now oh boy beef water bread crumbs and then we have the kind of square brackets toasted wheat crumbs and now we have the curved brackets enriched wheat flour now we have the fancy brackets wheat flour niacin reduced iron thiamine mono nitrate riboflavin folic acid close fancy brackets sugar salt soybean oil yeast let me close the other two brackets aha textured soy protein concentrate seasoning open brackets again dehydrated onion and garlic salt spices dehydrated parsley soybean oil close brackets uh soy protein concentrate and the romano cheese can you scroll up please pewdiepie heat gun the romano cheese which is made from pasteurized part skin cow's milk ugh i'm assuming it's skim cow's milk but to be honest if i told you there was cow skin in this food would you be surprised part skim cow's milk cheese cultures salts and enzymes which enzymes you ask they're not at liberty to say but rest assured there are enzymes now on the bright side the dough is pretty much normal for the classic italian bread the ingredients are enriched flour which is wheat flour niacin reduced iron thymine mino nitrate nitrate yeah okay riboflavin folic acid water yeast sugar soybean oil salt wheat gluten cultured wheat flour malted barley flour sunflower lechathan lecithin lackathon hey did you hear that lecithin sunflower lecithin dough conditioner which also has enzymes which ones you know now and ascorbic acid all that stuff see it's to the point where now in life you're like why even look on the back it's like gas why even look at the the the amount you got to pay per gallon you know you got to have gas right anywhere you go if you don't have an electric car you know you got to have gas so why even look just pull up there get it and don't even you know what i'm saying upset yourself at the gas prices it's the same thing now with food bro if you look on the back at the ingredients you're going to depress yourself if you want to ruin your meal don't look you know what's bad you know it's bad oh my gosh bro did you just see all of that i i hadn't escaped all of that now now i'm thinking about that when i go on subway it is serving its purpose but sheesh oh that's a lot that's a lot and all i hear in the back of my mind is subway eat fresh so we eat fresh so we eat fresh are we really eating fresh with all those words well we might have an ingredients list for our bread we do know that it's likely to not be perfect for example an irish court recently declared that subway cannot call its loaves bread due to the high sugar content subway uses more than 10 sugar in their flour wow and see i get the wraps now i always get this spinach wrap when i go in there now so i don't even do the bread i haven't done the bread in probably years now i get the wrap straight to the spinach wrap here's everything you can only find on the menu at a uk subway so let's start with the subs now there are a few kind of default subs that you can only find in the uk so then once you've chosen your sub and your bread we've also got a few other customization options that are exclusive to the uk for example in this sub we've combined a bunch of them so i've gone for chicken tikka it has hash browns it has sweet corn it has vegan garlic aioli it has hp brown sauce and it has whole grain mustard so brown sauce is kind of a traditional british condiment the biggest brand manufacturer of it is a brand called hp which stands for houses of parliament to maybe give a nod harry are you really brit-splaining to me hp sauce i love hp sauce i've been i've been having hp sauce had a bottle of hp sauce in my fridge for at least the past 20 years over here we have the meatless meatball marinara sub with some vegan mozzarella cheese as well and it's on chili paprika bread our exclusive customizations in the us include avocado pepper jack cheese provolone swiss cheese and banana peppers if you like your sauce you can make your sauce if you like a saucy sub you can have the sauciest subway saucy sub here in the united sauce because we have all these sauces including a balsamic sub sauce a creamy sriracha a deli brown mustard yellow mustard you guys don't have yellow mustard that can't be right sorry if you have yellow mustard i thought that was everywhere uh oil oil you guys don't have oil either okay uh subway herb and garlic a sandwich is not a sandwich from subway without oil and vinegar man it's it's not if if i forget to put that on my sandwich bro i am upset i'm pissed for the day bro i'm upset with everybody don't don't no man the old lady that's standing in front of me at line in walmart by and she turned around and speak to me no i don't want to speak to you old lady why i'm mad barbara why am i mad because they didn't have oil or i forgot to put oil and vinegar on my sandwich that's why barbara that's why i'm upset sorry oil ranch red wine vinaigrette and a special sub spice so moving the subs to one side for a second we also have some side dishes which are exclusive to the uk let's start with this which kind of surprised me when i saw it on the menu but you can actually just get a cup of meatballs from subway next we have the garlic cheesy bread which i think is just half of the hearty italian six inch with some garlic butter on it and then they kind of sprinkle some cheese on top and throw it in the toaster oven the last side dish is nachos they actually just get some doritos throw them into a box give you some cheese some jalapenos that is an insult to nachos those are the kind of nachos you make in your 20s when you're drunk or two in the morning chips cheese microwave it throw on some salsa that is the most depressing plate of nachos ever seen that is the worst thing associated excuse me that is the second worst thing associated with the subway franchise the only exclusive side that you can get at a subway in the u.s is the apple sauce pouch which we don't have unfortunately the two subways we went to did not have them available could we get a graphic of the um applesauce pouch on the screen somewhere near my head yeah it looks like that now we wanted to get as many uk exclusives into one sub as possible so this is my creation i'll be clear this is not my usual order you got the tang of the brown sauce with the little popping sweetness of the sweetcorn i know i just got like a whole hashbrown in there as well you know i don't get that no you don't put corn on a sandwich i who puts corn on a sandwich no no that makes no sense to me a corn doesn't go on a sandwich it's a side it's a side dish that goes on the side of your plate or you eat it off of the cob not on a sandwich that's oh don't do that in front of me don't don't order the uk or any stuff and of course we put together a sub with all the usa only ingredients which is a foot long barbecue rib sandwich with the jalapeno cheddar bread and avocado and pepper jack cheese and provolone cheese and swiss cheese and banana peppers ah the us with banana peppers i don't know what are things with banana peppers i'm not into banana peppers i don't know why they're so popular here [Music] that's actually pretty good i actually like that the jalapeno bread wow oh man the sriracha sauce oh and the avocado well it's got some heat to it too i'm totally surprised i kind of like that wow [Music] he had to go to the bathroom bro listen my sandwich right this would be my sandwich italian bmt right i back when i used to get it on bread this would be the go-to or even when i got it on rap this would be the go-to no let's do the bread because that's when i would get cheese i don't i don't use cheese anymore so i would get the italian bmt with pepper jack cheese that's how i started off right and i would get lettuce tomatoes right then i get banana peppers spinach green peppers um jalapeno peppers did i say banana peppers if i didn't banana peppers um cucumbers and i think that would be it salt pepper oregano oil and vinegar baby and tell them to add some extra orange vinegar on it and then she has to try to fold that thing and try to build it or she has to fold that sandwich over bro people always would be standing in line looking at me like yo that's a sandwich bro exactly i come here to play ain't come here to play around who came in to play around no no i want myself i want my sandwich right bro i'm i'm holding
