US vs UK McDonald's Food Wars...

[Music] um food wars ladies and gentlemen welcome to food wars what's good tmz fan welcome back to the channel mcdonald's i'm listening man first of all first and foremost what am i doing happy new year's everybody welcome to 2021 we made it all right so by now you should be laid out sprawled out on a couch somewhere hand in your pants if you if that's the way you chill laying down like the old al bundy style good out then ate you some some good food whatever it was of your choice if you had the traditional collard greens black crop peas macaroni and all that type of stuff like that or you went some other route you know what i'm saying either way you should be laid out right now like a little pig stuffed waiting for round two you know what i'm saying we're gonna check this video out fool wars us versus uk mcdonald's now when it comes to mcdonald's like i told y'all before bro i try to steer clear unless i absolutely have to so i'm in a rush i need something quick on the go and i may stop in there for breakfast that's that's about as far as i go with mcdonald's man their breakfast that's it and that's sparingly how often i get in there to get get something out of there bro i don't know i've just had bad experiences i've seen different things um about mcdonald's and their food every time they show up on a video like this it's never really good you know what i'm saying it's never really quite anything positive coming from it and you know what i'm saying so we're gonna check this one out see how the uk fairs versus the uh uk uh goes up against us when it comes to mcdonald's so we're gonna check this out man subscribe to the channel here we go [Music] from calorie counter portion sizes we wanted to find out the biggest differences between uk and us mcdonald's this is what a small drink looks like in the uk this is a us small this is what a medium drink looks like this is a us medium this is a lodge oh and this is a us large [Music] wow that's just not a slight difference bro that's a huge difference bro their largest our medium is smaller than our media that's insane fam oh my gosh no wonder bro they be saying that we be having some of the most highest obesity rates look at our smalls compared to somebody else's our small is pretty much their life they're large why would i say that lodge they're large 20 what 27 milliliters difference one fluid ounce difference between our small and their large that's crazy [Music] wow so with our mcnuggets in the uk the default adult sizes on the menu are a box of six a box of nine or a share box of 20. nuggets you can get a box of four or you can get a six piece or 10 20 for sharing or 40 and according to the three mcdonald's in the area they don't have 20 or 40 boxes they just do many ingredients of 10. but this is on the menu in the uk we've got three sizes of fries these are our small fries in the paper bag here is the small fry these are our medium fries the iconic cotton here is the medium fry and then these are our large fries and here is the large fry those don't look like too much of a difference right so so far the only thing i'm seeing is really the drink that was really the standout difference maker you know what i'm saying other than the nugget count not really coming in a big box like over in the uk now they fries though i remember their fries fries used to be banging bro that's one thing about mcdonald's fries bro it's like they salt them just right you end up me and and you go in there you grab up for you i never could grab like a small fry when i was eating there back in the days like younger days bro college years there's no way i could just get a small what so we couldn't find an exact weight measurement for this rise online so what we're going to do is wear them ourselves [Music] yo they trying to beat us up over here in america man what are they fatting us up for just out of curiosity we're gonna bring our trusty friend the scales back and we're gonna weigh the big mac and see if there is any difference in size i'm not sure there will be but let's find out [Laughter] so roughly the same pretty much same so while mcdonald's fries might look and taste pretty similar in the uk and the us in the uk we only have three ingredients which is oil salt and potatoes [Music] why i feel like i'm about to be pissed off when they show the u.s is i think we've heard about it before i can't really remember in my brain but i think there's gonna be way more than three in this one the mcdonald's french fries in america have way more ingredients these fries are made from potatoes obviously a vegetable oil which has canola oil corn oil soybean oil hydrogen hydrogenated sanitated [Music] thank you hydrogenated soybean oil natural beef flavor dextrose sodium acid phosphate phosphate sodium acid pyrophosphate which is used to maintain the color uh are they that much of a different color than the ones in the uk is it worth it can we get a side-by-side comparison are or that much more bright yellow we need to put sodium acid pyrophosphate or whatever it's called in it [Music] did that color just scare you out a little bit or is it just me theirs look like okay a potato that was cooked ours looked like a whole bunch of ingredients that was cooked into a potato you said like holy or bright yellow we needed to put sodium acid pyrophosphate or whatever it's called in it salts and i should mention that the natural beef flavor contains hydrolyzed wheat and hydrolyzed milk as a starting ingredient and of course i have no idea what that means so the biggest calorie difference in a big mac actually comes from the source in the us they've got about 40 more calories than we do in the uk we're not sure if this is because there's more source or because of the ingredients list in the uk it's just a little bit more simple harris i'm looking at the water repressed sea oil uh spirit vinegar gherkin sugar modified meat starch free range egg yolk spices salt glucose fructose syrup then gum calcium chloride potassium sorbate sauce is theirs don't sound like it's too healthy either tomatoes soybean oil sweet relish which is made of diced pickles sugar high fructose corn syrup distilled vinegar salt corn syrup all right two types of corn syrup xanthan gum yeah calcium chloride spice extractives water i've heard of that egg yolks distilled vinegar spices onion powder salt propylene glycol alginate garlic powder that sounded like vegetable protein which has hydrolyzed corn soy and wheat sugar columnar color turmeric extractives of paprika and of course soy lachophene leachate lycopene i don't know which one it is so if you are trying to eat healthily at mcdonald's it might actually be the drinks that you have to look out for [Music] that's nothing guys our chocolate shake 840 calories that's as many calories as two cheeseburgers and one hamburger so what does that all mean if you were talking y'all getting a heart attack just watching this somebody's eating a big mac or some mcdonald's right now to a uk mcdonald's and order yourself a large big mac meal with a milkshake it would be around 1400 calories and if you were to get the large big mac meal with the chocolate shake in america the total here is 1800 calories so that's 1870 calories a daily calorie allowance for an american dude is 2500 okay so you have 630 left one mcnugget is 55 calories right so you could also have 11 more nuggets and uh there you go that's all you need for the day [Music] one milkshake and a nugget and what's crazy is bro we know it's a lot of people that like od on mcdonald's every single day you know what i mean we used to be bad about it when when our kids were younger they get upset or not get upset but they get hungry quick fix go get them a happy meal happy meal happy meal happy meal happy meal happy meal so so we got to the point where he was like whoa let's stop that this is getting real ridiculous it's the convenience that gets you you know what i'm saying the convenience here's everything you can only get at a uk mcdonald's so here we've got the veggie deluxe burger which is a veggie burger that's served with some mayo and some lettuce here we've got a chicken legend which is a chicken burger again served with mayo own lettuce chicken legend i don't even know what that is not going to catch on that can stay in the uk we have a range of wraps that you can get in the uk we have a wrap of the day here we've got the faith crisp which is some chicken along with some veg and some spicy beta sauce here we've got some veggie dippers these were actually introduced as part of veganuary in 2020 in the uk but they're stuck on the menu so there's a vegan society approved and they're sort of like a fried bean patty sort of thing like pick a more unappetizing thing to get at mcdonald's magic difference and then finally we've got some mozzarella dippers which are just kind of mozzarella sticks really [Applause] well sucks to be in the uk because everything you see right here is usa only baby usa only so i'm going to talk about the coffee drinks real fast here in the u.s we have all the same coffee drinks they do in the uk but every coffee drink has an iced version and also a caramel and or french vanilla and or mocha version depending on what you're getting so we in the u.s of course have more variety shamrock shake the shamrock shake is like it's like vanilla and mint shake strawberry sundae this has recently been discontinued in the uk sorry guys still got in the u.s my favorite as a kid caramel sundae fruit and yogurt parfait maybe it's healthy i have no idea probably not those were the not a chance not a chance old items i want to get out of the way as they slowly melt under these lights got a lot more to go through harry bear with me here buddy buttermilk crispy chicken sandwich yo i think this was introduced when the chicken sandwich was really heating up when chick-fil-as are taking over let's see what's under the hood look at that look at this quarter pounder with cheese deluxe i used to kill a quarter pounder what bro i could eat two of those back in the day man listen man i'm telling you a quarter pounder or the double or at one point in time they had to triple bro i smashed the triple one time with the super size fry wit about a nugget a little small nugget and a large what come to think of after that i was in a coma man i was in a meat coma your fancy quarter pounder with cheese this is uh for a sunday dinner when you have company over ah so much sausage breakfast burrito even after it's for a while it's still like glowing yellow bro look at that oh man that just turns your stomach bro that can't even i've never ever had one of those so it just don't even look good now these are the buttermilk crispy chicken tenders these smell amazing i don't want to just bite into so bad i just take a big bite i want to talk about sauces real quick okay i'm at mcdonald's and i go give me one of everything i've heard from the i've heard from harry and the team over the uk that some of these they don't have including sweet and sour honey mustard what else don't you guys have i don't think you guys have ranch either or buffalo i gotta say though the sauces are everything we've got a couple of sauces that are kind of unique to the uk as well we've got a sweet curry dipping sauce and then we've also got a salsa dip as well which i didn't know existed until today oh yes donut sticks these donut sticks also come with the chocolate dipping sauce another thing i'm certain they don't have in the uk [Laughter] breakfast is served look at this oh yeah who's ready to start the day it's mcgriddle talk bro if you eat that any of that type of stuff like not sparingly but on a like a daily or every other day bro when you're done eating it you need to run to the next state just just leave the mcdonald's and run to your next bordering state just run and then run back it's the only way you're going to survive keep eating this like this man [Music] so for those of you in the uk who don't know what a mcgriddle is the united states mcdonald's had this genius idea what if we took breakfast sandwiches replaced the buns and made them pancakes and somehow injected some sort of syrup flavor into the pancakes and then the griddle was born and i have to say they're fantastic this one right here the bacon egg and cheese mcgriddle this is the uh sausage [Music] this is the sausage egg and cheese mcgriddle can't lie though the mcgriddles bro as bad as i know they are for you bro they are good they're good man i have to make myself not like i go in there and get like the mcmuffin because i know if i get that mcgriddle i'm gonna need two american food engineering at its finest look at that in the uk you guys call biscuits cookies here no so in the uk biscuits are cookies what we call cookies in the u.s uh biscuits are what we call uh i don't know what else you can call them like you bake them and they're from the south and they're dry and i don't know what they are much like the mcgriddles we have a version of every breakfast sandwich that instead of the regular bun bread it's biscuits not the cookie biscuits like you guys have um these biscuits joe you were so close on a whole cookie biscuit thing what you guys call biscuits we would actually kind of call scones or scones depending on where you're from and the thought of putting breakfast food in between them is kind of weird they're usually reserved for cream and jam for an afternoon tea last and he just stunned on us or what right there did he just try to stun on us he did he stunted on us a little bit and in my opinion least is this thing the southwest grilled chicken salad [Music] and from what i've heard the salads are not even healthy sad but true is what i've heard maybe you guys have heard the same thing but that's typical though because when we make a salad at home salad starts off very healthy but by the time we're done with it and all the things we add to it quickly becomes unhealthy [Music] can i can i eat now yeah yeah i don't care how many calories it's just really good listen man the goal was to make you guys try to eat healthier in 2021 but i might have failed because this just made me really hungry man and i'm about to go down there and smash some of that good food that's sitting around waiting man y'all know that new year's food i talked about in the beginning it's down there waiting on your boy man and uh about to go down there and put myself in the deep coma man deep deep cold all right so man shout out to y'all i hope everybody had a safe new years manny laid up on the couch resting and relaxing ready and plotting and strategizing for the new year all right so if you are try to stay away from a few of these calories on the way all right well to the next reaction of my p shall
