[Music] so [Music] this is the view you used to on my channel cruising high 10 000 feet or so on an ifr flight plan but not today today we'll fly low along the eastern coast of florida bfr from flagler that's near daytona all the way to key west join my friend gilbert and me and enjoy the nice views of florida florida has lots of airports many with a control tower and a lot of specially used airspace flying vfr is going to be a lot more work than ifr but the scenic views will be worth the trouble the flight took a bit over three hours and i'm splitting this video up in two pieces this first one takes us from flagler to palm beach and then the second part will show the rest of the way key west clearpop [Music] sky condition 3000 scattered temperature one niner two point one niner altimeter two ninety niner three visual approach only six in use who's called shenburn animal activity in all quadrants of the airfield notice airman restaurant closed on monday's advise on initial roger and thank you space 170 crossed up to two thousand cleared our network one six approach circle northwest left downwind from way seven left therefore they are number one six circle left downwind seven left for centre two thousand did you see your house no i didn't uh i didn't i missed it oh 1145 contact warming tower tower on with romeo js145 at least i think i missed it i was you know was panning basically holding the camera straight down along the shore but i all of a sudden i realized it's past it i never it may very well be on there to our support report whenever we're bound on the seven zero tango probably tonight good morning finance for zero tango uh what's going to be your intentions once you get brothers [Music] bravo uh our destination is key west we'd like to follow the uh shoreline all the way down sorry you just want to service yourself up outside the [Music] is bear in one circle back traffic one o'clock and three miles appears in the pattern at bruce creek airport out to encase 900 feet one zero come back i'm looking there in one circle back that used to be airport 12 o'clock and about eight miles all right once they're back we have the same that was it there but aaron roger you're clear for the vision for me two nine and once again that traffic is to your one o'clock and about three miles now they're up here in the pattern at spruce creek up to eight hundred feet all right kinda wanna come back manchester untangle looking for the skyhawk and did you say climb to 1500 all right climbing one thousand five hundred and this is your thing problem daytime departure good morning twenty four one thousand three hundred three thousand eighty one twenty four to ten departure i tend to enjoy the showmanship all right that drives this shoreline southbound 424 financial zero tango bravo is gonna be traffic to your one o'clock and about four miles they're eastbound altitude so one thousand feet they're gonna be landing at east vernon [Music] roger looking for the traffic to go a little further out here for uh class d at new seminar [Music] 1 yeah 3 000 with you two there once jetties one three two fly your present heading and join the final for seven left tango bravo radar service terminated block vfr brief chamber uh squawk we have our frequency change approved and uh question is the uh restricted 2934 active today and what would be a good frequency to talk about a low approach on the shuttle landing strip uh in about five miles you can contact orlando on 132.65 and they'll have all that information for you all right one three two six five bonanza seventy i think bravo thank you have a good day okay all right we're past new smyrna can get back closer to the coast all right so if we do get approved for the [Music] go to the south end of that and then we'll make a left turn here over um [Music] orlando approach good morning bonanza 7-0 tango bravo that's what it was number seven single brother i was just trying to remember who was it was calling [Music] is the restricted 2934 active today and if not uh we'd like to do the uh a low approach over the shuttle landing strip this angle bravo as far as i know 2934 is not active at this time maintain vfr on navigation to tts they are not uh as far as i know the tower's not open yet either all right uh own navigation um and uh we'll probably not reach you down low we'll talk to you when we get back up on the other side thank you thank you probably do you not want stuff uh i i would like flight following affirmative tango bravo i just don't know if we'll be able to receive you as we descend for the child strip change my frequency one three four point nine or five one three four nine or five i'll try that three five one two tangoes four one five okay so that restricted is not hard that's good for everyone who knows if you don't know two zero five six quebec orlando pro celtimeter 299 or 454 altitude changes standby orlando approach had said nasa tower was likely not operational but just to be sure i give them a call on the radio before entering their class delta nasa tower good morning bonanza 7-0 tango bravo well there's a big sea grass it might be a runway straight ahead a little slanted that way is that the landing strip i it could be i don't know there's a new perspective for me it's the only one yeah it must be because the only one around and it's very large very long i think that silhouette is the vab right there tango bravo ready services are coming to advisory frequency is approved do not touch the runway financial tank bravo roger and volkl thank you kim do you not touch the runway yeah we're i'm not going to go you know like 10 feet low so we'll just do a pass over the runway maybe at 200 feet or so can you imagine this was the view for them after a week in space yeah you have driven on this runway yeah in a car and been on the roof of the vab and monkeyed around on all sorts of towers and not monkeyed around but you know had access as a board co-op caution terrain caution terrain we're going to hear the terrain alerting voice a lot more on the rest of the flight for the shuttle landing strip i stayed a few hundred feet above the pavement nasa allows overflight but no touching down you'll see on the left side of the runway is a space shuttle markup that is a long runway [Music] any water to put out the fires i don't think there ever was one but that's what it was oh look there's a shuttle on the left oh yeah they have one left over so for all time sake yes must be for the tours you know oh that looks like the it's the old spaceship the museum yeah i bet that's what it is yeah launch sites are all out to the left along the coast we're over merritt island now yeah now i get it we used to live right over there in rockledge on that right this merritt island that's coco beach i would actually launch our boat off of this bridge here there's a ramps fishing patrick tower good morning bonanza 7-0 tango bravo one three three seven five i know that it's the right frequency then afterwards we'll need milburn 18 two patrick tower good morning bonanza 7-0 tango bravo climb to 3 000 that takes that keeps us clear of all these class d's [Music] okay so we're not doing this job we're gonna yeah we're going more straight used to be a real nice restaurant right on the southern tip of merritt island patrick tower good morning bonanza 7-0 tango bravo okay well we're well above the class delta prices are not open is today a holiday yes actually uh it's quite columbus day or something nobody solman patrick i'll switch over to melbourne melbourne tower good morning bonanza 7-0 tango bravo that's a 7-0 tango problem peninsula 7-0 tango bravo is a vfr flight over uh patrick right now 3000 will be flying over airspace at 3000 southbound uh zero's uh tango problem my airspace only goes to 1900 feet so there's no need for you to call me frequently changing finances your tank bravo roger have a good day [Music] i thought they'd appreciate the courtesy before they send the jet out climbing here fit 3-7 [Laughter] for takeoff all right so this will be uh pretty easy here airspace wise at this altitude until we get to palm beach then we have in rapid succession palm beach fort lauderdale miami and then of course the keys at this point i had to recharge the cameras with skipping a little bit of flight so you won't see vera beach in fort pierce and we will resume near palm beach palm beach approach good morning bonanza 7-0 tango bravo transit center tango bravo palm beach good morning financial seventh grade bravo is a broadway echo three six um about twenty miles to the north uh two thousand feet uh request transition through airspace southbound along the shore number seven zero tango bravo zero two five zero squad zero bananas is your thinking problem wondering why i wasn't getting any air i blocked it 21 miles north palm beach shelter 2993 east coast shoreline below 500 is approved just to be advised there is admirative precipitation about palm beach international the boca on the shore probably have to do two to three miles offshore to avoid bonanza zio tango bravo roger and sagan the altitude of which transition is approved they're taking probably below 500 but if you need to go further offshore we can work a higher altitude for you if you need all right i'll do 500 penalties out of 1496 can't take miami center one three five point one seven oh five hundred feet doesn't work good one two tango [Music] [Laughter] um okay i don't show any precipitation depicted over pompano if you like you can proceed on course the altitude your discretion [Music] yeah that build-up is all over land if we stay offshore it's heading here should be in good shape [Music] linky [Music] caution obstacle caution obstacle caution obstacle big ship ahead of us yeah i see that there's a good sized rain shower at my one o'clock so i fly a little bit further offshore [Music] tango probably advisory precipitation about five miles south of palm beach and six months in diameter previously building and uh movement stationary [Music] to avoid it [Music] oh it must be cargo uh first good morning eight three one victor papa fourteen five descending via uh with x-ray approach genki is now available winds are zero times zero at six altimeters two nine or nine three bravo palm beach approach rudder how far south are you going when it says you take bravo uh we're going all the way to key west and uh palm beach approach skylane 580 romeo whiskey uh back with you on 25.2 we are in uh process flight terrain there's no terrain here [Music] any chance we can climb up a little higher than 500.
