all right haers today is the day it is finally time to talk about the flipper zero and I'm really excited about this one so I'm so excited about this one I actually bought it for myself so after hearing a ton about this amazing little tool um they came out with a transparent case for it so uh The Flipper zero if you're not already familiar is an amazing little tool for uh hardware and software and radio hacking um you can do stuff with well especially the radio so like it's got Bluetooth you've got um uh you can scan NFC RFID tags things like that you can uh scan radio frequencies and do um Spectrum analysis all kinds of cool stuff with this and then also it has gpio breakouts along the top so people have been hooking it up to all kinds of different hardware and uh there's plenty of room for it to grow so when they came out with the transparent one I was very excited the original one was a matte black one that they produced for Kickstarter a while ago then the normal one is a white case and then this one is transparent like have to get it uh the orange thing on here that you see is a silicone H soft bumper for it and uh we'll take a look at that but yeah tari says there's a Discord and I can teach you more about it if you'd like yes I am on the Discord and there's a bunch of uh other stuff that we're going to look at in terms of the community as well but thank you so uh this is one of many little animations that they have uh it's an adorable little anime themed one and if you watch it for a while it'll like turn around and say sent by notice me or something like that um you've got sub gigahertz scanning you've got RFID scanning NFC scanning infr red which I didn't mention before so this can both uh memorize uh save and uh emulate remotes infrared remotes you've got uh gpio pins and different stuff you can do with that us speed uart Bridge gpio manual control so you can uh turn pins on and off and we'll get into that later and then I button which is an old school security device that uh uses I believe an array of transistors to create a unique signature that uh interfaces interfaces with the eye button interface on the back here so let's just take a a quick tour of this device we've got the screen obviously uh with your adorable little um doin friend who has their own little passport it's called this name is hardcoded from the factory you cannot change it that was one of my initial questions but you can uh hack the firmware to display a name that you hardcode instead of pulling that string just like give it a string that you want it to show and uh we'll show that in a minute I'm going to show some of my first questions when I got this thing but um then you've got a few different modes uh you can lock it and then you hit back three times to unlock oh here we go we've got the whole little anime animation uh stealth mode which I believe just uh oh that just turns off the um sounds and vibrations which are normally part of when you for example scan a tag and then dummy mode which is not the greatest name but um it basically turns it into something that where you just use the uh assign a few default actions to the Keys and it makes a little simpler um you've got a file browser here again USB uh there's a deep intertwining between the flipper zero and bad USB which is a set of tools for uh for example you can plug it into a uh a computer and emulate a keyboard or other hid devices and control it remotely all kinds of stuff but also it can act as a universal two-factor authentication key which is kind of cool um yeah so we'll we're gonna dive into this a little bit Adam Taylor yeah right I've been playing around this for this with this for a couple of days and it's just mindblowing how many different things you can do with it so first I'm going to show you the product page so we don't get ahead of ourselves because it's very easy to do with this there's so much to be excited about um so the flipper zero multitool device for de uh a portable multi-tool for pen testers and Geeks in a toy-like body it loves hacking digital stuff such as radio protocols Access Control Systems hardware and more at your own risk it's fully open source and customizable so you can extend it in whatever way you like um note here that uh on the Discord they mention that it you cannot create your own one some of the hardware pieces of The Flipper are custom for The Flipper zero and uh you won't be able to get hold of them on your own own so you can't create your own flipper zero but you can uh Branch out from it make your own extensions and things like that um this uh if you haven't seen Johnny neonic it's a great piece of background thing to look at for this considering the whole cybernetic dolphin aspect but yeah uh it's it's got this tamagachi in the way that you level it up is by uh scanning different things so you get some XP every time you scan stuff you can look up actually the XP table for what you get from each action for this including like uh scanning a new remote uh saving an NFC tag and things like that will get you um extra points unfortunately you only get one XP for every time I think you uh go into gpio mode or something like that you don't get a lot of points for doing gpio stuff which I think is what a lot of our Hardware hacking friends are going to want to do but oh well yes the key fobs and Tesla charge port tricks are fun so there's a a hack where you can uh remotely open Tesla electric charging ports using the flipper zero which has been getting a lot of attention and uh yeah I'm not sure if Tesla has fixed this yet but it's definitely something a lot of people had fun with you can download custom firmware Jason charms and you can uh you've got an IR blaster Wi-Fi Dev board and Laura radio yeah so um other stuff that came in the package with this um so there is I'm dropping stuff there's there's too much stuff to show you here one main thing about this is that all the packaging and all of the UI the docs the phone app the uh desktop app that you can use to flash the firmware and uh erase and format the SD card all that stuff is beautifully designed it's just a gorgeous device I think part of that is that it's based on this previous project the pon pagi which you know was a sort of basic eaper screen uh is a basic eaper screen with a bunch of um different tools that you can hook hook up to it so in a sense it's kind of the second generation here but the design of everything is just completely gorgeous um so we've got the box here flipper it shows some of the basic um functions on here sub gigahertz infrared GPO RFID NFC and I button then you open it up and you immediately get uh the firmware update link the source code on GitHub and the manual you get this adorable little flip the world sticker you get a quick start guide which is also gorgeously designed look at this thing look at this thing look at it and then all the this like regulatory information on the back you do have a uh USB a to c Cable in here and then with little cutout so it's easy to lift out uh the spot where the flipper sits and I've already taken it apart I couldn't wait um I did film The unboxing and I actually filmed a bunch of other stuff and then I was like this is GNA take years to edit I'm just gonna do it live so we're gonna we're gonna do a live interactive demo but um just for the record here's the other stuff that you can get uh officially from Flipper zero or from Lab 401.com which is linked in the description below another source for getting flipper zero uh components Hardware Etc so there's a set of three screen protectors you can get I have applied one of these it's got directions right on the back it comes with a little cloth for cleaning it and then you apply it unfortunately I'm going to ruin the video by saying this but there is actually a hair a tiny hair a piece of fuzz underneath the top of my screen but uh you can't really see it in this camera view thanks to the focus so cool um then also two other things uh there are Proto boards a set of three Proto boards with compatible headers that are not soldered on yet that you can use to add your own um Hardware expansions to The Flipper zero oh maybe only two oh yeah two small boards and one large board so you can get that on flipper zero. one or at lab401 linked below and then also here is the developer board for Wi-Fi for flipper zero so uh this is an esp32 W room I think uh s2w Rover I lied um and so this just plugs into the gpio ports at the top I haven't actually messed with this yet so that's going to be a follow-up video I think um but this plugs into the top it's got its own separate USBC Port that you'll use for some uh applications and sort including like loading loading code onto there and actually the fourth thing that you can get for it is this silicone bumper or case for it that exposes the uh Le exposed all the ports and stuff we've got this ey button connector we've got uh infrared over here gpos which are labeled these are labeled on the original as well but on the transparent case it's a little bit difficult to see so it's kind of nice to have them really called out brightly on the bumper here um quick little tour here's where the micro SD card goes here's a lanyard connector you've got a USBC Port over here and then you've got your d-pad and a select button or okay button and a back button and those are sort of your interfacing options for uh The Flipper uh one cool thing about it is that it says flipper in uh cilic on here and it also says fipa uh in Katakana on the back here so uh multilingual little case so a lot of people are chiming in with other stuff that you can do so uh you can update it by via Bluetooth we'll take a look at some of these uh web to serial or Bluetooth uart is for the win uh art being Universal I synchronous receive and transmit it's a over USB flash uh and download apps via their app we'll look at the phone app um trust me you'll love it you can actually display ssids on phones and computers uh so much cool stuff okay so let's dig into uh some of the function okay first we're going to look at the product page um so flipper zero if you want one it's about $170 you can get the white version right now here are the four uh extra products that we just looked at that's about what it's going to run you if you look at lab 401 uh that's where you can get the zero transparent except I think they're now also sold out but this they did at least two limited drops of the transparent uh flipper so you may still be able to um get one in the future so a good place to monitor for that is the flipper zero Twitter SLX um that's where I got mine or that's how I found out about uh me getting mine and then they've also got a an Instagram with awesome art and stuff and just H the whole thing is just way too stylish stop it stop and then um yeah so they've got a lot of excellent docs on getting started uh micro SD card setup um very important when you're ordering your flipper get a high quality micro SD card pay attention to what size uh you can do a 4 gigabyte micro SD card I've got an 8 gig one in there from SanDisk uh if you do get a bigger one then it may take longer to mount that micro SD card um so this thing with the Spy interface is why you want to get a high quality micro SD card um and that is also what allows it to do uh lower power data so uh as you'll see here it actually extends the battery life of the uh flipper zero if you use a higher quality micro SD card that has that uh spy capability which is so interesting lots of cool stuff so you can format the micro SD card either um on your computer or with the flipper plugged into your computer and using the flipper itself to do the flashing so there's this app called Q flipper we'll take a look at in a minute but first I wanted to um with the basic info out of the way I want to actually just show you some cool stuff happening with it okay so uh I've got a collection of Transit cards from different places and uh I've also got a number of different RFID and NFC devices which is what we're going to show um there's also um where to start okay we're going to start with NFC because that's the easiest one I've got a bunch of Saved ones in here uh and we'll have a look at what it looks like when you scan something so one of my favorite little n oh I dropped them good job one of my favorite little NFC uh devices I have is a shinen Metro token um you get these in order to ride the Metro there and you can scan that and it makes a little cute sound this is a my fair or meair device you can get more info about it you can save it you can emulate it and you can get more info actually scanning through the ID info on there which is kind of amazing um yes exit Okay um I'm going to grab these off the floor because there's some more cool ones I want to show you ah okay so you can get blank writable cards which is kind of boring you can get blank writable stickers that you can assign uh information to this is one I got from Matrix Labs a few years ago uh this is just like a little token on a sticker you can see the antenna and the chip through the adhesive there this one I love this is from the Moscow Metro from uh maybe 2018 when I went there and so we can scan this one tra uh which is an old Russian term for a three horse Chariot or um coach that was pulled by three horses and it's just a gorgeous design I think so um you can actually check your balance how many rubles you have on there which is ridiculous um what else we got I've got some little you can just buy these things in bulk NFC tags um they also come with stickers from the same company uh I believe this is oh yeah tags. and we can scan that and if you look at the uh uid on there I actually wrote it on it does match 04 E3 Etc uh Jason says also Metro cards yep uh we've got got a bunch of those so uh this is my collection of like ones from different places we've got one from the Netherlands which is super gorgeous I'm going to read this one real fast this one actually has a weird um effect with it where it goes into trying to pull all these uh these keys and sectors off of it which I'm actually not totally familiar with what this does um I'll save you watching the whole thing it basically gradually crawls up uh through 12:42 and then it eventually restarts it doesn't seem to ever like complete the process but you can hit skip and you still get the data like the info about like what they found and how much they found it just hasn't like scanned the whole thing I think um what else have we got we've got an oyster card from London I'm not going to go through all the uh Metro cards but here's a cool one from Hong Kong anyway you can also get rings So speaking of shenen this is something I picked up when I was there uh it's a it's two rings which have chips embedded in them and one of these is NFC and one of them is RFID so check this out I might have to rotate this a bit do the thing do the thing well now it doesn't want to cooperate for some reason oh wait maybe it was the little one that's NFC and the big one is RFID oh yeah there we go so once again it's doing that uh my fair or me Fair result this is just like a wearable ring that you can get that's an NFC tag um just really quick I'll show you some others that you can get but I'm not going to go through them all uh two bit circus is a venue in La that has a bunch of interesting DIY and arcade games and you can read this I'm not sure if you can actually use it at the place or I saw someone got um kicked out of dve Busters and weren't allowed to take their winnings home because they were using the flipper to em emulate the game card so um be aware that if you try to do that at an arcade you may get kaked out you may not get your winnings and then also you can get these programmable uh little key fobs um but we won't go through all of those I'm just going to show you uh RFID really quickly and then we'll take a look at some more info so read this guy and there we go cool so I've actually saved this guy already um so I'm gonna exit but then you can look at uh oh wait you should have saved it okay well then we're going to go ahead and save this guy and then you add its little name on there so I'm going to say uh if you hate this kind of alphabetic entry then I'm sorry bad news gold save cool and I probably got some XP for that uh it does look like my XP went up a little bit on asre okay let's take a look at some more online stuff so we looked at the micro SD card setup uh you can download the mobile app which we'll look at for updating the firmware and there's an app catalog which is super cool uh and then Q Flipper the PC app that you can uh use to update it um developer tools on GitHub and applications SDK for work in the command line all kinds of cool stuff uh this is where you get Q flipper that desktop app uh this is on the firmware this is the the link that you go to when you uh open it up and it's like go here to update your flipper this is the page you get taken to and in the docs uh you've got all kinds of useful information on hooking up gpio and modules here's the pinout in case you forgot but also like more info on what each pin's capabilities are which is pretty cool hid control controllers I have actually used this with my computer to control keynote and make my slides advance and and uh go back and forward and stuff which is really cool like it it can be really useful to have a Bluetooth controller when you're trying to present somewhere and uh those things alone are about the same price as the flipper so if you need a way to justify it and you give corporate uh conference talks or anything they're is your excuse um you can set a favorite app with buttons and then as some people mentioned there's a bunch of other options for different firmwares and different uh apps that you can install so roguem has a version of the firmware with a bunch of different Community projects uh built in so much stuff like look at all these different things es32 gravity uh connector sub gigahertz remote um B spam this is something that you should not do so there is definitely nefarious stuff that you can do with the flipper and one thing that's kind of frown upon is this thing where you can jam iOS devices by spamming them with B connection requests and that can actually really mess with some people who uh for example use uh phone apps for uh medical devices for example and you can do for example Wi-Fi deing uh de authenticate every device from a specific Wi-Fi network and that can also really mess with people so uh and also it can get you in a lot of trouble so so play around with your own stuff but try not to mess with other people because it's a jerk move and you could get in deep trouble people have hooked up Geer counters to this GPS um there are whole databases of NFC and RFID information for use with different devices all kinds of cool stuff so that's Rogue Masters firmware then there's also this Uber Guido Z playground of all kinds of different stuff that they put together for the flipper zero um infrared database can download parts of the of the uh repos and stuff this place gets referenced a lot in other ones uh for example there is this music player um there are a few different apps that are in the app store for The Flipper zero but yeah then there's flip c.org flipper. catalog um and you've got all these different apps there's also the flipper zero subreddits where people are sharing their uh projects sharing tips I for example wanted to know as a beginner like can you take it through TSA and it turns out that like results are mixed uh yes in the and in the disc cord they say that it may help to have the device turned off um which is another question I had you apparently turn it off by uh holding down the back button for like three seconds or going through the settings menu um but yeah uh you can take it through C TSA but like it sort of of your mileage may vary try not to put it in your checked luggage there was someone who had it in their checked luggage and reported that like it wasn't in there when they got to where they were going so just be careful around that keep it in your carry-on and like some people just say that it's a virtual pet if they get asked about it but yeah turning it off may be the safest way to do it uh watch out for it being flagged is illegal there's a Wall of Shame in the Discord as well which shows all these different problems that people have had with uh taking the flipper zero around um sorry around work around school people who have either lost their jobs or gotten in deep trouble with their uh work overlords for bringing it to work and connecting it to a uh controlled computer uh they may be able to tell that you've plugged in a flipper zero to a work machine and you don't want to do that if there's any kind of data controls um uh schools will take them away if you're in school uh try not to have it out in any classrooms you may get blamed there's instances of people getting blamed for turning off screens and stuff because there that is a thing you can do you can turn screens on and off with the infrared universal remotes and that may get you in trouble as well uh people may just not understand what it is if you already have reputation Etc so all kinds of stories like that in the Discord um but back to cool stuff you can do with it there are apps for connecting uh dht11 dht22 temperature and humidity sensors uh there's one here in particular called unitemp which allows you to connect all these different ones temp humidity and pressure sensors bmp280 all your faves check that out it's so cool then people have been sharing some flipper zero projects on hater already uh you can also go check out some of the communities so there's the official blog there's the Discord server of which much has been made this is a really active community and again if you have questions around like you know what if I want to bring it to uh through TSA what kind of tips would I want there's also an FAQ section if you're starting out and you want to know like what kinds of cool stuff can I do with flipper zero uh all kinds of questions like that uh that's the place to start there's a community Forum GitHub repos telegram chat and of course all the social networks um yeah if you even got a Tik Tok uh here was the question around changing your dolphin's name so it is written into the Ron time programmable memory but you can edit the firmware to read the name from a custom string instead and someone's actually this person geek has provided a uh an example where uh you go into the firmware and where this is sort of a it pulls it out of that hardcoding um onetime programmable memory you can just replace that with the name you want in a string and then I think you would have to recompile the firmware and install it yourself but um you know there's there is a way let's see those are most of my questions that I had there's also a sleep mode it'll just go to sleep uh if you're not doing anything with it after a while uh and then there's different modes that will that will do that and you can find tips for maximizing battery performance The Flipper zero is supposed to be able to run for around month without being charged which is incredible so you know it actually took me a minute to figure out how to turn it off to find that information just because the the prevailing advice is just you don't need to um here was another question I had I was like oh man it would be cool like what are cool things I could do with this I could make like a TV begone like universal remote on and off well it turns out that it just has this capability out of the box you can just do it on the flipper zero um I'm going to show you so here is our little dolphin and then if we go to uh infrared universal remotes TVs audio projectors uh players projectors and air conditioners and look at that you can just it'll just send all the power on and off keys that it knows uh and it takes a while so if you have your own remote that you want to clone you can do that so here's our Roku TV remote um and I've just set up this uh set of like these are the things that we usually want to do with it and now we have two remotes for the TV which is great uh menu mute volume up and volume down you can add another uh another function by pointing the remote at the infrared Port over here and pushing its button when it's in this uh you'll see this led flashing which means that it's in a receiving mode and then you can also go back and edit those ones you've already saved you can rename the buttons move them or delete them uh very cool let me see I wanted to do a couple more demos oh yeah the IOS app and Q flipper so uh at this point we're just going to go into some of the software and I'm going to share my Q flipper screen here we go so I'm going to hook up my uh flipper zero over where's my little cable USBC here we go so here's my USBC cable plugging it in over here and immediately is there we go uh it shows us exactly uh um actually this isn't showing us the screen just yet but uh check it out so this is some basic info SD card is 99% free um you can install the firmware I was able to add the firmware on an SD card without erasing it first and it uh showed it was like 49% free or something like that but you can also uh use this Q flipper uh software to update the firmware to erase the uh micro d card so if you stick any micro SD card in there uh that's got the right size and stuff you can just use this application to erase it and then uh put the firmware on it which is pretty cool you don't have to uh you can just do it sort of as a One-Stop shop and then you have this uh file browser stuff I actually haven't dug into this one oh yeah check it out what is Dolphin oh so it's got the little animations and stuff that is so cool my dude I got what I assume was an i it is Wednesday my dude reference um because it was a a fishing animation and it fished up a frog and the Frog said my dude and like tipped this little hat or something uh which I would expect to happen on Wednesdays but I guess flipper doesn't know if it's Wednesday or not so they just have an animation for that which pretty cute um infrared oh yeah check it out and here is my um stored infrared remote assets oh yeah cool those are the ex existing uh codes that and uh button setups that it has for air conditioners uh audio uh speaker systems projectors and TVs anyway that's really cool um and now let's take a look at the phone app I wish that I had a better setup for doing this and uh but I wanted to show you how cute it is when you uh connect your flipper I so sorry don't look at the battery and I wish that I had a better setup for this but there's too many things plugged into my computer okay so check this out I wanted to prepare it but I also wanted to just show you this adorable little screen that it has when you're pairing it 782 698 pair and then cool you can update the firmware you can check for uh upate you can see the battery level oh uh this isn't totally obvious maybe but there is a battery level indicator right on the home screen on The Flipper zero you can also see that it's got Bluetooth enabled it's got a Micro SD card installed and I think there's some other stuff around stuff being uh transferred but you can see other modes that it's in in the top left there so on here we have I'm so sorry for these Reflections it's the middle of the day uh but we've got some NFC tools we've got a remote control for The Flipper so I can like check out the passport on the thing it's mirroring it right now if I go to the right they both go to the right if I go back then I go here it's going to pull up the app menu all kinds of stuff um then we also have the app uh database which is amazing oh there's so many cool things on here but uh so for example a step counter QR code display barcode app so you can display barcodes there's another app you can use to read them I'm going to do some extra videos on just specific sets of apps that you can use this for because it's ridiculous how many cool things there's a lot of games there's a lot of music tools there's a fair number of gpio tools and uh there's also some like life tools TOS like Pomodoro apps and stuff so let's just take a quick look at the ones I've got installed because I'm excited about them so we've got a Servo tester gpio reader Bluetooth trigger uart terminal signal generator yes signal generator over gpio I squ C tools Pomodoro temperature sensors reading a tuning fork which as a music enthusiast makes me really happy AVR flasher you can program arduinos from this including the at tiny which is awesome uh then you have an Asteroids game Morse code decoder uh an actual little um oscilloscope type app a dice roller for DND with different uh numbers of faces on the dice so like a D6 a D4 Etc NFC magic uh ESP flasher if you have esp32s you can Flash them from here as well X remote which is uh X remote and cross remote are both tools that allow that make it easier to to use the flipper zero as an infrared remote for your TV or whatever so X remote I think um makes it easier to just assign a button to a function instead of having to scroll to the power button and then click like okay on it you can just like hit left right up down Etc and those function as remote buttons but then cross remote allows you to chain functions that made my flipper crash a lot it didn't work very well spectr analizer esp32 camera connector I definitely want to play with this one and an s UD probe for arm uh debug debugging so lots of cool stuff there um okay so let's go back through the comments a little bit here uh yeah there's a repo full of TV brands you can download you can play games on The Flipper we just saw some of those um oh why did you it thinks I want to turn it off um it's giving me a little sad face turn off device I'll be waiting for you here back okay probably uh when I was messing around with the other stuff go okay um let's take a look at some of these apps because there were some faves of mine um the life tools I thought were really interesting so here's the Pomodoro you can flip back and forth between taking a short break and having some tea or coffee and like deep focus mode which is so cute and it keeps track of how many p oros you have completed for me that's very few right now here's all these uh different gpio ones that we looked at before prescope Etc all these different games you can get Tetris for it of course here's that DND D dice roller flip a coin AKA a D2 uh here's a D4 roll D4 got a two ah D6 d8 d10 D12 D20 I'm curious oh is this a D1 you've even got a d00 amazing and there's a history that is so cool long press this to exit cool and then snake game comes built into it uh yeah all kinds of cool stuff there let's see rogem is a ninja also check out Squatch wear oh yeah so there's um someone who does has a YouTube channel called Squatch something something and he does a bunch of videos about this does the company send it to me so uh you can order it from Flipper zero. one the official store or you can order it from Lab 401 which is a European distributor that's where I got my transparent one and it came uh from France there was an extra about $40 in customs fees that I had had to pay for that but I think the shipping was free I don't know if you can ship it to Brazil unfortunately um oh yeah you can scan pet uh identification microchips with this uh assuming that's what you meant by yeah um same uh I don't know how to read the chip of your dog unfortunately if it's not working I cannot help with that I don't have a pet Discord calls yeah I think that's uh all we've got let's see flipper always reminds me of the Flipper Show so much Dolphins everywhere and then you need Marauder to use the dev board so the the Wi-Fi Dev board you will install Wi-Fi Marauder on it and that will enable you to do things like War walking War driving picking up uh the the S not ssids the uh I think it is s ssids actually the IDS of um different Wi-Fi uh networks that you're passing you could you can also use the flipper to create a sort of captive portal spoof network not like a spoof a real network but uh you can name the network in a way that it emulates another uh Wi-Fi network that actually connects to the internet and create a captive portal that captures people's um credentials which is a bad idea if you're not just playing around for funsies that is a great way to get yourself fired and or arrested but yeah lots of kinds of cool stuff you can do with the Wi-Fi Dev board also a lot of options that will not be as nefarious um so anyway an amazing little tool um lots of what I've done with it so far is just scanning uh and saving RFID and NFC things I'm really excited about the pomodora app I'm really excited about um hooking up temperature and humidity and pressure sensors just for fun uh I wanted to connect this to the microbits radio but it turns out that you can't scan microbit uh commands because they're Bluetooth they're 2.4 GHz and this is uh basically sub gahz only for uh for that kind of thing so that makes me sad but um I had a bunch of other ideas let's see uh other stuff that I'm interested in trying with this I have a Java ring which is I believe from 1996 and I'm going to show you that in a minute stop screen show this other window so along with emulating the TV beone you can um connect it to an ey button so a lot of people are asking what is an ey button device and there's a really good explainer here at analog.com uh it's sort of a I'm not sure if anyone uses these these days I haven't seen them in use but I do have an an explainer for this Java ring device from like 1996 where they created a wearable ring that had uh ey button capabilities and was guaranteed for like 10 years and it's got this amazing little like Java logo on it and uh the sun Microsystems logo and the sun Microsystems name around the edge here and you would connect it to this thing called the Blue Dot that you connected to your computer so that you could use it to like log into your workspace or whatever which is just so cool and they said these amazing things in this little um uh uh brochure with it that said like your passwort to the passport to the network economy and uh what was the other one there's a really cool I don't know there was a bunch of really fun language in here where they were being really bombastic about what its capabilities were you can also do a Rick Roll I just accident oh yeah yeah yeah yeah it's dangerous once you see them you're like you kind of end up needing one um and they're not that expensive and they're just everything about this product is absolutely impeccably designed it's just gorgeous um so it's hard to resist honestly I'm going to go through a couple more things that uh will be interesting to look at online and then we're going to wrap up for today but I do plan on doing more uh videos about this so we talked about the eye button talked about the microbit problem but before we wrap up so rabbit Labs has uh a way of amplifying infrared signals that you send so you know when you're using it for an infrared remote you can uh use the built-in remote that just looks like a regular TV remote but they have these things called IR blasters that basically boost your infrared signal by adding like seven or one two three four uh 12 uh LEDs on here 12 infrared LEDs uh and then this one has something like seven on it uh the one on the front is like an indicator light but then on the back they've got I think seven infrared LEDs just L and so this sort of magnifies the blasting capability in case you're like you know a cross crowded bar for example and you want to turn off the sports TV not that you would do that but they've got one that's U also this mag stripe emulator called the multipass uh where you swipe this in a magnetic uh card reader so good and then also thing ofs there's all kinds of 3D printables for these so they've you've got these really cool little uh cases that look like little Pelican boxes ah look at it's even got a con compartment for the uh USB cable they're so cute people have made uh other enclosures for this that are 3D printable that have space for the Wi-Fi Dev board there's a TPU case if you don't want to buy the bumper case you can print your own in whatever colors you want uh also make it hacken has been actually doing some transparent and other colors of 3D printed uh enclosures not like surrounding the case but actually the case itself so the white part here you can get that in custom uh 3D printed resin uh options here's a cool case that has a little pivot and it looks really cute I wish they had a a real photo of this in use because it's so cool looking the only information is you need a screw but you can look at the uh flipper zero tag on here and then um here's an SD card cover in case you're throwing this thing in your bag or whatever you can cover the micro SD card slot although I will say that it's pretty um easy to prevent your micro SD card from coming in and out because it's uh it's a little spring-loaded guy in here so you actually kind of have to stick your nail deep into there and then push to get it in and out um so it's actually not that bad but if you want you can print a an SD card cover for that and yeah that's all I got for you today uh it's there's a lot there's a lot to delve into here and you know it's just sort of like a gift that keeps on giving there's all this beautiful documentation on how to use it for everything from a remote to a two Factor authentic token and and and stuff like that oh my gosh it's just it's just endless um yeah so I'll be doing some follow-up inter uh interviews followup um videos on this I asked them for an interview actually but I I don't think anyone on their team necessarily has uh well there are logistical issues with it but uh I am excited to cover this more and like share some little demos and stuff uh especially on our the haer Tik Tok be sure to check out uh the hackster.io products projects for um I can only see there being more people publishing
