Flip House Gone WRONG - The Houston Home Inspector

[Music] [Music] wondering that this roof is in pretty bad shape right through to the release of the did paint to cover up really fast one of them just rang a few days ago so we got signed already so I'm in the master then you can see it here already start to show some signs on the seating it gets better this is the master commode area there's a lot of packing going on on this wall right up here maybe get you a better view here lot of patching you've seen has been done right there well the black is already starting to come through not really supposed to say that word back can't guarantee what it is but I believe everybody knows and it goes all the way down to the bottom on the wall and you can still see the black coming through again in the windows a lot of windows in this house are still the older single pane women when the they painted the window sill up really well I've covered up the water trees and all these windows the locks aren't even on the windows that you screws lock the windows so you've got to really look at all aspects of me I knew Owen with no screens on pretty low heat winds you can tell [Music] [Applause] right here I'll grab my exit right here and then even though they loop it up to the receptacle itself and for one of the truths like this and Nick's room or black want like this and go there's several people that fire out I'm certain about something has happened if there's a lot of passion on the ceiling a lot of the doors big predators are sticking what happened here when I first entered his house I saw the winner of the US of A drumming into the house gets worried a little bit there's glass all over the floor so that was my first ball little further review I didn't exactly what happened here we knock they are on the outside of the window area without thoughts of my next we broke into well they either broke in and broke out glass all over the outside too but as you can see looks like we've had love rain here leg looked like the house just produce this very large crack the windows come out of this frame and busted you always needed a really thorough inspection actually you can see right here this is actually carpenter bee flying around this is this bit right here I've also found evidence of previous termite damage in this house there is a it is a flip house they used to just paint it and go lot of times they just caught them or areas of painted will they couldn't find talked over this area it's kind of getting back here behind the tree so you really do need to pay attention this is actually fairly rock it looks like you're in some previous termite damage up up in there and this is actually the other side I was talking about and even writing here the soffit it just goes straight into the Attic so there's actually quite a few Hornets something floss in the attic so they didn't make my job a little difficult today inspector also needs to walk on the roof which most of us do and I'm going to show you how they repaired lead plumbing jacks that are replacing them I haven't seen this ones under you tell the quality of contractors you got here telling me they have several plumbing jacks on this house I've actually put a PVC cap on top of this plumbing Jack rain still gonna get it get into it so I don't know what they were doing but that's that's pretty bad I've actually got about four like it one was still leaking so much they just covered it with tar as you can see the ridge jingles I'm just terrible these are all brittle breaking the shingles they're way past their life expectancy it gets better we're gonna go to another spot up here on the roof I'm gonna take you on this journey with me today this is actually a bonnet vent which is not allowed on heating systems if you come over to the fireplace area you can see you kind of need to come up and take a look that's totally leaking in there this is a flip house you've really got to pay attention what you're buying now there's a lot of issues with this house I can't just tell you all of them on this video would be way too long those have galvanized pipes and you get up in the attic the galvanized PVC they're just repairs all over the place open junction boxes insulation missing most of flippers do missense lacing them at it I guess they think you won't blow up in their wrong thermostat on the HVAC system can you turn on the heat let's flip out fishing getting a good inspector you
