[FIX] [RedM] How to Fix the RedM Rage Error: ERR_GFX_INIT Failed to Initialize Graphics Device

all right guys so I'm gonna make this quick you guys have been racking your brain trying to figure out why it is that this is not starting up you got the uh the init in it initial error the rage error the graphics card is not initiating error you've done everything you've uninstalled the program reinstalled the program you deleted caches still not working well thanks to and I'm going to alt Tab out here and we're going to go back over to here because I want to give credit where credit is due so uh the fix is actually I literally just had it here okay to fix it from uh Setter bro and I hope I'm pronouncing your name correctly and thank you so much this is the fix right here you're gonna copy and paste um your system XML file from Red Dead Redemption 2. now your Red Dead Redemption 2 has to be working to do this so first I'm going to show you how to fix that uh just in case that is an issue shouldn't be an issue but we do want to make sure so we're going to go over to documents we're going to go down to Rockstar Games Red Dead Redemption 2 online go down to settings and you're going to come down to the system file now you're going to open that up it can be opened with a notepad uh we're going to control F here and we're just going to type in uh dx12 because I already have it uh set now this is set to Vulcan delete it uh just the Vulcan part and type in dx12 once you do that uh save it exit out in your Red Dead Redemption 2 is going to work perfectly but it doesn't help with red m so the fix to this that you're just going to Simply copy this uh this same file here all right and then you're gonna bounce up out of that and you're going to come over to uh these this file here and now once you get here and actually let me show you a quicker way to get here as well and we're going to alt Tab out um alt Tab and let's see yeah yeah okay so we're just gonna exit out up here exit to that stop perfect so we're going to come to Red M we are going to right click in open file location one twin file location uh you're just gonna come up here and click app data go to roaming once you're at roaming you're going to scroll down and find citizens FX file and you're going to copy and paste that system file here and just for good measure you're gonna double click on the Red Dead Redemption 3 underscore settings file and also paste it right in there as well close out those files go back and just launch that red M and guess what it is running I have an AMD 6 processor amd6 3600 processor I have the um with the RTX 3050 graphics card so uh here we are we're here we're in and it's working so I hope that works for you guys I am a hundred percent confident it's going to I have been searching for this fix for months so thank you Setter bro for that clutch of advice cheers guys and game on
