FIX Photo Transfers - Print on Wood, Easy Label Release Paper Method

hello and welcome to the crass man show my name is your host the crass man I hope you doing good today today we're gonna talk about transfer print or would had it sometime it miss up I have had people message me comment email even send me miss it on my Etsy page even Samia let it to my pillow box talking about craft man I am so discombobulated over all this myth I can't get this stain to print nine times out of 10 the solution is very simple well let's get started y'all know I like to go on over to the graphics very calm I don't work for the graphics fair I just be using a picture and y'all know me I'm gonna try to find me a little bird picture it goes one out really like look at this alright in my previous video y'all know that I use a kinko label number one reason the economical they're cheap and they're also I like this particularly because you can just peel off to pieces but just to show y'all that you can use any kind of mailing label I'm gonna use some paper brand today only problem about that I got to peel off all your little address labels so y'all hang tight while I do better not the Badger label now we got a slick surface that we can print all to I'm gonna load the label release paper into my laser press pay close attention to which direction you want to lay face up or face down look for this little icon that will show you I'm not going to my properties this is where it's gonna be a little bit different for you probably in my case I like to go with the I have your glossy and then I'm gonna hit print all right here call just printing out right now is about to prick all right let's see what we got on here Oh Marcy this a mess right here and this exactly what a lot of y'all this showed me just happened to y'all as you can see Donna does not stick really well to the label release paper think of a kind of like Teflon when you cook it you don't stick to it as nonstick and that's the whole reason why label release is so easy to do transfer with because it don't hold on to the toner like a regular paper different craft man well we don't do about this doll look at this I'm gonna go right back into Photoshop and you can use any graphics editor that you may have and watch I'm just gonna bump the brightness up a little bit look at this you see where it's real black and dark and high density that's where all that toner gonna be caked up at if you make it brighter it'll lower the density of the toner and now when you print it let's see what's gonna happen oh let's see what happened now I'm nervous look at this look at that bird now we want to cut out the image to feel whatever ball we can transfer all my [Music] personal favor had all the transfer media is acrylic polyurethane a k-paul acrylic aka uh what a base polyurethane but liquid Tex is probably the one that you can get the most easily at a hobby supply store arts and crafts place it like that Hobby Lobby or Michaels crafts the etc things like that all right I got my board it's good and clean it's a bare surface I'm gonna go ahead and put me on a good day an even layer of acrylic of pilot credit union I'm gonna very carefully line up my paper and lay it down and evenly start to smooth it out try not to catch any bowls if you do catch a bubble then you just try to ease them out to the edge then get you a paper towel or straight ahead just about anything rubbing air swish swish them down smooth as smooth as smooth try to smooth out all the wrinkles that you can craft man I had a looking good and then all these wrinkled don't popped up in don't worry about that look watch this you can even take that paper kind of stretch it a little bit flatter right back up look at this getting nice and flat and yeah if you worried about our wrinkling back up put you some books up on it look at this Wiley and the hairy man all right I'll let this dry for about 45 minutes and let's see what happens what I like about acrylic poly as a transfer medium is it is crystal clear another thing I like is you can take the very same acrylic polyurethane and use it the topcoat particular image or if you prefer not to do a brush on finish then you can use your spray can finish quick to have you have had a clocked up nozzle the way you can prevent that in the future turn the spray camp upside down spray it for about 2 seconds and to the sprays are clear then you can store it's good to go [Music] well that's all for today how you enjoyed it and I hope that uh it helps some of y'all damn uh get going it you hear that today we're gonna talk about how did oh I have had so much fun doing the video sometime we have problems do it Oh my name is your host the crazed man the crazed me [Music] oh hello snack
