"Freezing" magnetic liquid. | DIY Ferropaste, Ferrofluid, Permanent Magnetite and Resin

hello and welcome to the craft man show my name is your host the crab man and today but all we're going to talk about fire raw fluvia [Music] craft man what here go use some quick informations there's not necessary to know but that you may be like i'll snap that's what that is the word iron in italian is pharaoh the word iron in latin is feral ferrovascular means containing iron in the periodic table of the elements iron ear f e so let's start out with the simplest ferrofluid recipe this is going to be more like a pharaoh paste how we going to use the iron oxide and i'm peanut uh might not be the best all to you you can use a variety of all but uh you know i got me some peanut all right though and we need some type of container to put them in we were up in the dollar tree and i said look at that right though y'all thinking what i'm thinking the downside to using plastic is it ain't the most best clarity around that you can get your scuffs and scratches real easy but you know that's what's a dollar right though you also going through about some type of magnet all right there's some no dumbbells and you all them little dimmer magnet that's my one right thought but kyle i care about y'all i want to be the best youtube that i can do it look at though look at that's right off then i also got these one right though you know my wife let me i said baby they're going to be a business remember that you know so that's you on you can throw in the river and get you some artifacts with it and always be careful with magnus please please do not let us slam together stay by the these magnets [Music] and a word of warning the iron oxide powder is fine enough that you can be breathing this if you get a stirred up all right so please remember well that's all the time we have dramatic so i said what about if we can use this mirror right here oh yeah that give me an idea for another of it all right far remind me to tell y'all now let's try adding on some water to it so i had basically just made myself a pharaoh pace i got some nice spiky spikes with it but i still wanted to make a verbal fluid what can we do to make this more impressive and fun well one thing we can do is to be more deliberate about how much oil we mix with the powder also let us casually observe this plastic you're going to be less clarity than glass all right not only is it better clarity but glass just behaves better than plastic for your pharaoh pace or feral fluid now delphi is going to be more of a chiller uh for one thing it requires find a magnetic particle this iron i said is very dense so we need us a finer iron i said come on hold up craft man we don't need to get carried away making a big mess star or nothing let's look at some other solutions now a lot of y'all probably already have some magnetic ink character recognition toner laying around at your house but me craft man had to search on ebay for my one right here [Music] but you know that's what that tower looked like right though and that's just what we wanted to see right though i think that ought to be enough right though do y'all remember what i said to wear your dust man and instead of using peanut uh seeing theater motor all right oh with this combination of magnetic toner and motor r i was able to give me something closer to a pharaoh floyd but it still was not what i wanted to see so instead of motor uh i tried me some kerosene i don't know this is a very insane tv by the way all right that seemed a little bit better i even went into our castle and got hot to me something else it takes all right and the mctr uh ain't leaving no residues and things so death might be a good option now that's pretty interesting but we're not getting the effects that i really wanted to get and then i said you know what let's go back to the black eye rock said a natural epithelia this one is the iron oxide with the mctr mix and then all this will do water all right we're getting a little spikers back here but in a real proper ferrofluid what you're going to have is round it instead of the sharper one like that right even i was going to use auto cassette tape technology and basically what you can do to run the clip is to dissolve that right there in acetone was going to break down the boundary and so it's going to leave a a plus defend and release out the magnetic particle all right which you would collect and use do y'all remember that i even thought to myself craft man instead of using a regular food say i could say what if you use a micro cassette that is going to give you final uh particle correct maybe now craftsman you've done all this experimentation despite all that stuff i still did not really have the things necessary for the pharaoh fluid for example one recipe i found kyle for only against it what and then i learned what i really should have been used is that i should have been using magnetite do a special uh thank you to brainy x75 for educating me on this right here because here's the bottom line everybody all you got to do is miss magnetite well some data motor all right though and then you will get fabulous results look at though you can get magnetite on amazon but i only have three more days to finish this video which means i need to do something dear friends yes i want to be a friend craft man this is you from the future that attack came in the mail right before this video come due and with their combination i was able to get some really nice spikes bite [Music] oh no oh no i'm about to oh about to go back to the past in time help so i said what can i do that has not been done before or release that i have not seen here is being done but found and that made me think back to earlier in the program do y'all remember when i said that give me an idea for another video all right paul you can get some wonderful shapes and things with pharaoh pace all right would not it be fabulous if we could do a free dunk shape uh permanently that's why they asked myself how can we free you don't say this right here notice that i am now holding the magnet up on the dough first thing i tried was instead of mixing the iron outside in oil like i've been to i tried mixing it with resin all right in my one size i added my iron oxide and mixed it in good then mix both of them together all right and i set them up for jerry b platform situation with a mirror and a piece of silicon [Music] i put my magnet underneath it and then powered my rails in [Music] but that one did not turn out uh quite like i wanted it uh the rail to about 12 15 minutes something like that to carol and this was enough time for them our particle to squeeze together and that's false down the rails and and also uh see that out there collected up in them crabs and crystals and then we also got brothers and things up in a look at that what about the fat man and epoxy right though i probably should have warmed it up first because you know it's probably about 45 degrees up here in the shop right now dude a little bit real good right here now y'all don't do this at home and in my opinion that's when i started to get them fabulous results right though look at them and this right here opens up a whole new world of possibility to you for example do y'all remember that wood and red some veto craft mandy wood and resin jewelry type of thing like that looking what if we use this technology to get the treetops and mountains effect that you normally have to get by breaking wood to get to the spiker spiker all right or maybe you can do some hair on your designer figures you know do some little hair effects on them wiggle it like that right there move it around and what's this going to do is build this by tyler and tyler all right and then once you get it the hype that you like it then move it out to the side like that see that now you got you some of the animal fire thing like that i even tried to add me some micro powder to the can somebody can hold it for me today video was more of a learning process but i don't regret going down this road because i learned something and hopefully that's something that you glean from this in the process but you know like they say uh you ain't really digging unless you move the dirt all right what in the world what do they have to do with anything oh my goodness do what but anybody wants to make pharaoh fluid which is more complicated look it now red on you too but i just will warn you that you know uh he uses lots and lots of uh norman claytras just a little bit dangerous what i'm doing right now so don't do this
