remember it vividly praise god where you spoke about things that would happen glory to god and to see us living in a time where so much is happening that is out of our control it means that we need to space [Music] and those who are with us in other spaces across many other places we give god thanks for all that he means to us the words of the imright of the writer says jesus is all the world to me my life my joy my all he is my strength from day to day and without him i would fall when i am sad he makes me glad oh praise god he is my friend another hymn writer picks it up and say well i need to say something about that your friend what a friend we have in jesus all our sins and griefs to bear what a privilege you carry everything to god in prayer and now father we ask you to attend upon your servants and attend upon the waiting audiences attend upon individuals in their homes families in their homes i turned upon those of the places of business and work and commerce i turned upon those in the hospitals maybe behind prison bars attend upon those at the airport attend upon those who are sick in the hospital oh god let your holy spirit descend in a real and personal way so that those o god who need a special touch from you will receive that touch in the name of jesus let this moment be for them an experience they have never had before with you and father when all is said and done to you be the glory the honor and the praise in jesus name amen and amen [Music] i did announce that i'll be speaking you to you from saint matthew chapter 14 and indeed that's where we are i want to celebrate the few brethren who are in the children's church yeah we got a few over there the lord bless you we are with you as you are with us the 14th chapter of saint matthew speaks of many outstanding occurrences in jesus ministry as he ministered to people but from the 22nd verse we find the portion from which i'll minister it says and straightway jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship and to go before him onto the other side while he sent the multitudes away and when he had sent the multitudes away he went up into a mountain apart to pray and when the heathen was come he was there alone but the ship was now in the midst of the sea tossed with waves for the wind was contrary now immediately you'd recognize that jesus was a part in the mountain that the disciples were on the ship in the midst of the sea and they encountered terrible waves because of contrary wind 25 and in the fourth watch of the night jesus went unto them walking on the water walking on the sea and when the disciples saw him walking on the sea they were troubled saying it is a spirit and they cried out for fear but straight straightway jesus spoke unto them saying be of good chair it is i be not afraid and peter answered him and said lord if it be thou bid me come unto thee on the water and he said come and when simon when peter was come down out of the ship he walked on the water to go to jesus but when he saw the wind boisterous he was afraid and beginning to sink he cried out saying lord save me and immediately jesus stretched forth his hand and caught him and said unto him o thou of little faith wherefore this thou doubt and when they were come into the ship the wind ceased then they that were in the ship came and worshiped him saying what did they say of a truth thou art the son of god my goodness what a wonderful reading what an outstanding text among the many outstanding ones to be found in the word of god the song that says ride out your storm god is there with you you may not see him you may not feel him but you're not alone you're hurting now but your mourning is coming hold on to jesus and ride out your storm that's my text today the shortened version ride it out somebody said ride it out yeah write it out and there is no question as to whether or not storms are battling or many ships are battling some great storms the last time i preached to you from behind this pulpit we preached from the 27th chapter of acts where there was another storm named you rockledon but what was interesting about that and this text is that jesus in the book of acts 27 while paul and the prisoners all right sorry for that many people are dying so what is wrong if a bachelor go dead let batra die people are dying all right to soon get life to it all right i was making the point that paul and his 275 prisoners they were there on the ocean battling you rocked on but jesus at that time was in heaven he was not on earth he was in heaven these disciples buckling this storm can i say fortunately for them jesus was not yet in heaven he was on earth oh hallelujah but might i say be it in heaven or in earth he has already declared that all power he's given unto me whether i'm in heaven or i'm on earth oh praise the lord so he still stands ready to manifest his supernatural power and to show that he is lord of all today is challenging us to ride it out ride it out as a nation write it out as families write it out as as a church [Music] write it out as various organizations and business entities and all of that because indeed a storm is shaking the ships of life today i did say the ships of life are shaken the ships of life are in the ocean and they are battling a tempestuous below oh my god if you were to talk to the medical fraternity they will tell you yes we are battling it we are shaking they will tell you our spittles are being overrun they will tell you saw the evening news and last evening the undertakers the morticians are telling you we are running out of space oh because too many people are dying aiming in short succession we are battling a wave but i'm happy to tell you brothers and sisters that in the midst of all of these tempestuous pillars there is one who is standing by he's standing by whether you think he is active or inactive he doesn't make any difference he's standing by amen activaring he hears the king of kings and the lord of lords and he can speak to every situation just support any time he pleases but sometimes someone prayed earlier sometimes he allowed the storms to get to attention and until he gets so attention he might not move on our behalf until unless he gets our attention we must recognize him as the disciples recognized him in the midst of their difficult circumstance somebody praise god with me and we'll preach to you today shout your praise down there so having said all of that we recognize that the journey of life has many loops and turns the journey of life has many hills and valleys many descents many planes the journey of life is never a smooth path for anybody but if you're on the journey as i preach many years ago you got to continue the journey somebody praise god the journey of life sometimes brings us some wonderful triumphs i mean victories but sometimes it brings us some great challenges sometimes it even brings to us some defeat but defeat doesn't mean you are done and overweight defeat me in your wheel and come again somebody praise god with me i think i need to repeat that defeat doesn't mean that you are done with defeat means you learn the lesson and you will and come again and many many many everywhere champions of the world today would tell you i've lost some fights but i did not hung up my gloves oh god can i preach here so sprinters will tell you i've lost some races but i did not hang up my spikes oh glory to god almighty some racers will tell you i lost some races but i did not abundant my car somebody praise it with me here oh glory to god i will and i came again and look at me now somebody in this place should lift your hand and say look at me now because i know some of you have lost some races i know some of you have lost some fights and not some of you have had some defeat but you learn the lesson you will and you come again and look at you now you are prepared for even the bigger ones oh god almighty i said you're now prepared for the bigger ones oh hallelujah to the lamb somebody shouted praise to the king of heaven in this house [Music] so there are turns and loops and curves and valleys their triumphs their tragedies their eye points and their low points and the disciples knew exactly what it meant to have experienced some of these even at the command of jesus even at his command let's look at the text verse 24 where at matthew chapter 14. somebody say something there but the ship was now where was the ship in the midst of the sea what was happening tossed with waves why was it tossed with waves for the wind was contrary oh my god in the midst of the sea tossed with waves for the wind was contrary hear me and hear me well brothers and sisters if your lady or gentleman youth are huddled hear me well as i spoke about the journey of life it brings us to the point from time to time where we experience tossing waves where we experience contrary wind and sometimes it seems as though we're alone at that point it becomes very decisive you have to take a decision whether you stay on a boat that seems though it is going to overturn are you by faith say to yourself i'm going to sit in this boat because i believe i can write it out anybody believe you'll write it out my god you can't touch anybody but wave your hand and say write out your stone glory to god hallelujah you got to make a decision you don't sit in the midst of a boat toss with wave in the midst of the ocean with contrary wind and many thoughts do not go through your mind you don't except you're not a rational human being except you lose some screws up there you have to be thinking what do i do now whoa god help me what do i do now and some of you young people and even growing folks when you reach those points in your life the pendulum can swing one way or the other in your favor or against you based on how you decide what you decide to do can i say that is the point where marriages succeed are they failed oh no jesus can i say that is a point where some marriages either succeed or they fail when you reach the middle of the ocean with contrary winds because waves are dashing to and fro and it is rocking you either succeed by sitting there and say let's write it out together or somebody might say oh no i can't stick this i'm going to jump overboard switch somehow just succeed or they fail can i get a little deeper young girls young men thus we have virginity are kept are they lost oh yeah right in the midst of that ocean in the midst of that emotional ocean in the midst of that situation where the challenges face you in high school in prep school in university in college in the community in the church you reach that point where the emotional pressure begins to brought a bear upon you and at that point for some of you virginity is lost or it is preserved oh no bishop you can't preach like this well sit down a little you'll see if i can't because contrary winds cause some people whose focus is not on the lord to make irrational decision and do the wrong thing instead of sitting still and know that you're under god's command he did say get into the boat go over the other side i'm not physically there with you but i promise i'll never leave you nor forsake you and when you can't see my hand trust my heart somebody praise god if i'm preaching in this house today [Music] wave your hand and give him praise and glory yeah [Music] is that at that point we're some schoolers remain in school or they become dropouts are you not saying nothing you either remain a committed student or you say oh no look at over on the other side look at the young men like the man in luke chapter 15 say look at how those boys enjoy themselves they're going to party they have girls they have this they're smoking spliff they're burning they're having night life why should i confine myself amen to this cooling school in school and many made the wrong decision on the jump overboard and where are they today they did not road out their storm and many fell prey to the mighty ocean the world that is like a suction amen whose mission is to steal and to kill and to destroy and that is what it has done to many young people today but thank god there are those of the shadrach and the meshach and the abednego quality thank god there are those of the daniel's talk thank god they're those of the rules talk who said to everybody as they say to themselves what do they say entreat me not to leave thee not to return from following you anywhere you go i go i'm going to ride off this storm because i believe at the end of it victory shall be mine somebody lift your hand and say at the end of it say at the end of it say when all is over and done victory shall be mine oh glory to god i feel like i'm preaching to somebody somewhere today oh my god wave your hand and celebrate him celebrating hallelujah i'm right here in verse 24. i mean it's such a central verse to all of this but the ship was now in the midst of the sea tossed with waves because the wind was contrary i did say that is where marriages some marriage fail or succeed i did say that is weird virginity is kept or is lost can i say i did say that's where schoolers remain in school i become drop out can i say that as we are practical return or remain in their prodigal states that's where prodigal remain practicals are there arise and return that boy's ship began to rock with pigs knocking him left right and center heart grunting all around him he was hungry and wet and weary and when he took a look by faith back in his father's house he says oh no oh no i can't continue like this that is where practical return or remains some people today are satisfied to remain in the mock and the mind the mess of sin although they are being boxed by circumstances to and fro although their fig tree has no blossom although there's no fruit in their vine although the labor of their health is filled although they're flocks elon meat what are you saying bishop i'm saying sinners out there backsliders out there for them but they still stay out there [Music] am i preaching right missionary stacey brown not now go on for them nothing is happening good in their favor yet for some unknown reason they still stay in the pig spin they still fight the hugs for some food scavenging like animals not making any good thing of life but are still there that's where prodigal return or remain but one prodigal said what did he say i will arise oh god i feel i'm preaching a powerful word i will arise and go back to my father and i will say father i have sinned against heaven and i can't speak i'm not even worthy to carry your surname anymore oh no i messed up your surname i'm not worthy to be named such and such but if you be gracious unto me just make me one of your highest servants oh god almighty well thank god we have a father who cares he said oh no you ain't no servant you're a son and he called for the fatted car he calls for a brand new robe he calls for a ring he calls for a shoes and coat and everything he called the neighbors everybody everywhere so come to my house what's happening over there mr tom my son who was dead is alive again my son who was lost is not found can i say my son was blind can i see my son who was insane in his mind has not received his sanity because he has made the right decision oh to come back where he belong somebody lift your hand and said lord take our nation back where we belong take our families back where we belong take our church back to where we belong take us as individuals back to where we belong i could spend all morning on this yeah that is where those things happen oh glory to god that is where hope is anchored our hope is destroyed jesus you told us to get on the ship you told us to go out there you are open a mountain someplace praying did you not know what was going to happen to us unto the omniscient one who knows everything why have you sent us in all of this hope is either anchored a hope is shattered but somebody lift your hand and say my hope is built on nothing less than jesus blood and righteousness [Music] i dare not trust the sweetest flame but only lean on jesus name on christ a solid rock i stand let's continue the message oh glory somebody give him praise and glory so oh no something comes to me i gotta say it there's a problem in jamaica i'm preaching by the revelation of the holy ghost in the midst of the sea being tossed with way for the wind this country for some of you men that's where child support is given our child support is withheld when you got two three four women speaking down your neck oh no why did you put yourself in that two or three girlfriends speaking down in your ears one support and your families at home who should have your full support and you're tossed in the midst of that wave oh lord with all those contrary winds suzanne's voice who said voice sue's voice channel his voice can you imagine one man dealing with all of that come on talk with me somebody and that is a jamaican reality some of you ladies maybe you are too few for anybody to experience that in air but some of y'all they know what i'm talking about your man is caught in the midst of a vicious cycle with all those voices speaking into his ears for support for affection for love for time and you the legal legitimate one have to be competing for what is rightfully yours because he found himself in the midst of a way of tossing somebody praise god with me somebody praising with me here [Music] somebody praising with me here [Music] that is where those things happen that is where ultimately victory is one our defeat comes your way but on the command of jesus christ we are going to end up in victory everybody say victory everybody say victory today i need not ask if the nation is being tossed i need not ask if families are being tossed i need not ask or say how much individuals are being tossed somebody prayed this morning about fear fear is on every hand fear of the unknown fear of what might be the inevitable i pray god it will not be oh hallelujah fear is on every hand but trust god and you shall be on the victor's side somebody praising me here today so today somebody's badly tossed but please ride it out touch yourself and tell yourself write it out come on you can't tell anybody but tell yourself oh you're not you're not you're not encountering any turbulent weather write it out system write it out brother god has equipped a church for such a time as this and we are we should not be among them that are fearful we should not be among them that are intimidated we should not be among them who as it were stunned in a crossroad procrastinating us to which decision to take away to turn because we are guided by the almighty god psalm 32 he said i will guide you i will lead you i will instruct you i will teach you we are under heaven's authority more than any other authority [Music] whoa glory to god hallelujah thank god for the voices that speak voices of authority and medicine voices of authority in politics voices of authority and religion voices of authority in commerce and industry and education and all of those sectors but let me tell you the ultimate voice that speaks is the voice of god the ultimate voice is the voice of god the only absolute voice is the voice of god somebody praise him if you feel the holy ghost anywhere hallelujah why somebody say his voice makes the difference his voice makes the difference when he speaks he relieves my troubled mind [Music] just the only voice i hear makes a difference and i'll follow one day at a time when i need him i know just where to find them in my place of prayer his spirit covers me [Music] this the only voice that gives me my assurance and i'll follow the voice that i hear everybody say his voice makes a difference when he speaks he relieves my troubled mind church is the only voice i heard [Music] write it out ride it out can i give you what maybe a little cuban some years ago when dr petrova and i went to a certain country i leave it nameless and i may soon tell you the country don't worry but we went there because we were celebrating one of our anniversary which was for us a very significant milestone oh much mom 30th anniversary oh you can trust the ladies for dates and times and everything 30th anniversary so we went to cuba i tell you we're in cuba to celebrate our 30th anniversary we got in a particular particular place they said to us it is beautiful over on a particular highland over there but you have to travel by the ocean or lake to get over there and each person was given a bike a scooter water bike you know those bikes to carry yourself or you and your spouse and they said to us now one thing we got to tell you that crocodiles are out there all they get is all this you got to be careful dear jesus i don't know where i got that bravery and minister davis was much braver the night i took because i usually ride bikes there's no problem for me to ride i mean i enjoy riding bike a road bike for years so i got on my bike man and put on my belt and minister davis jumped behind me and woke up herself and when we started out other folks were there going to start it out and the water began to dash i remember the crocodile in there i said no no no i'm going to turn back to this davis i'm going to turn back because we had a long distance arise i said i'm going to turn back she said no right on [Applause] my way my rights are right on right on don't turn on earth dear god almighty every time i remember it i said dear jesus so so she said to me don't you turn back keep on writing my man right on and we rolled and made it to the other highland and you know when you get over you got to what you got to come back over and i said to her and we said the god that souls across for round one the same god will see us agreement on round two and returning somebody lift your hand and say the same god say the same god the same god who saw you through some stuff before is the same god will see you through all that you're going through right now so don't you give up don't you turn back don't you jump off ride it out crocodile or no crocodile ride it out alligator no halligan to ride it out [Music] glory to god somebody clap your hands and praise him somewhere wherever you are clap your hands and praise him somewhere glory to jesus [Music] soon come down so the lasting one wishes to encounter especially as a christian in the will of god oh are some of the negatives of life the last thing that one wishes or thought you would encounter as special as a committed dedicated servant of god are some of the negatives of life the sicknesses the distresses can i say the miscarriage oh miscarriages dear i mean heartbroken to a woman who carries a fetus for three months four months five months maybe up to six months just another month to go maybe before that child could be born or taken alive and you lose a child it must break something deep down in your heart i know some of those situations enough to minister to some of those persons someone in my audience right now i know her very well this is no revelation this is no prophecy i believe she's there i mean she has had five miscarriages member of this church no liza brought five miscarriages but today she is a proud mother of four children somebody praise god with me here hallelujah so it's never over and done when you decide to stick it out right in touch with jesus somebody lift your hand and ride it out with jesus say ride it out with jesus i'm riding it out with jesus [Music] dr petrova said no turning back i'm riding it out with you ride me along somebody praise god them themselves so those things will happen they do happen being in the will of god sometimes caused you to think god job so i'm not a backslider i have not gone back from the commandment of your lips i've esteemed the word of your mouth and my necessary food and now i go to the right and i can't find you to the left and i can't find you in your mystery corner i can't find you everywhere i turn you hide yourself from me where are you god in the midst of my [Music] dilemma but job said you know what he knows the way that i take he knows exactly where i am on the ocean he knows exactly what is happening and guess what he knows exactly what to do in the fullness of his time somebody praise god with me i'm preaching to you he knows what to do jesus so when you get in trouble the song man say don't cry just remember god is standing back when you have heartache don't cry please remember god god is standing by oh yeah so don't worry don't you worry don't you cry my it is only god's divine favor and protection if it had not been that the lord is at my side when things and men rose up against me they would have swallowed me up thank god is on our side no exemptions from some of life's challenges no exemption from some of the unpredictables of life the tragedies of life oh no but thank god we are overshadowed by his boneless love thank god we have protection from my lord above jesus walks beside me every passing day and what do you know say what you know say what you know say what you know and i know he'll guide me all the way all the way let's begin to bring this down so the pretext of matthew 14 the preceding verses it showed a super miracle that was just wrought super miracle feeding off a whole leap of people with a little bit of launch super miracle and god was getting ready for another super miracle this time on the ocean amen it souls the supernatural power of god the excellency of god power and god's grace amen he can do just support anything verse 15 to 21. he fed a multitude with an insignificant number with a small little little launch what a mighty god we serve so jesus christ knows what to do every time so hear the disciples verse 24 i said very sensual [Music] and in the midst of it all to make matters worse when everything got even worse they saw a person coming to them on the water was he in human form physical human form as they knew him to be think with me did he took on some extra heavily glorious manifestation as in matthew chapter 17 on the mount when they saw his glory and they could not build them with their natural eyes so if he was natural same jesus five feet nine whatever he was same frame same shape look same way why would they mix him up and say it's a spirit what was it what was different listen me the revelation the lord gives to me when we are in a state of confusion our confused hate we are not even sometimes able to rationally penetrate the things that are before us combabilation of the mind combabilation all kinds of things going through and white look like blue and blue look like pink and pink look like red oh you're not with me the men were in serious trouble big dilemma and their master was not there and here comes a figure underwater and he said jesus christ look at this now one trouble lead to another here is a ghost here is a spirit here is a dopey coming to sing the boots god you're not getting this revelation somebody praising with me here that's the reason when whenever you're in a state of indecision don't try to take a decision don't ever make a decision when you're in a state of indecisiveness don't take sit down be still alone wait on god [Music] oh can i give you a scriptural reference elijah was on the mountain on the mountain begin to tear down on all kind of fire and smoke and heal and hurt quick and everything he was waiting on god and he said oh no i'll not move by that god is not the heart of confusion god can't be coming to me like that and tearing down mountain kicking down tree hailing out fire and all kind of that would confuse any human being when they say i'm not moving a foot until after that came the steel jesus the still small voice somebody praise god let me close this thing out hallelujah thank you holy ghost somebody lift your hand and give god a praise hell give god a praise here praise him might be caught in a vicious cycle or over the period in many vicious cycles god has helped us too remain on board to this point even if the winds become more tempestuous i pray not even if the storm is that is intensified from category one to two to three to four please ride it out with jesus ride it out with jesus ride it out with jesus ride it out with jesus hallelujah for jesus never fail it's a spirit you know many persons have been killed in this country because of mistaken identity sometimes by criminal element rogue elements even sometimes by the security forces they thought it was a spirit mistaken identity could have caused them to lose hope but before that happened jesus called to them so in the deepest and the loneliest and the darkest moments of your life jesus will not take it for granted it will not be very long when he will make himself known let me say that to somebody who really need to hear this and i'm going to say three times in the deepest and darkest and loneliest spirit of your life going through your storms jesus will not take very long to make himself known jesus will not take very long to make himself known jesus will not take very long to make himself known before you take a decision to your destruction before you take that decision to your destruction before you take that decision for your destruction he will say it is i be not afraid it right now the financial sea the emotional sea the physical sea the spiritual sea there are many seas of life that might be in space right now god almighty but god is able god is able and i'm getting almighty as we stand in your presence your god of every situation your god of every circumstance lord you are a very present help in trouble hallelujah and so right now divine god you tell us in your word god you'll never leave us nor forsake us you will be with us always even unto the end oh god today will lift our hearts up to you right now god this is a life life for many o glory to god many are holding on to the last threat of hope many have reached their wits and divine god it's nowhere never and god you have sent your word today and lord god we are holding on to your word you tell us god before one jot article of your word past heaven and earth passed away and lord will lift our eyes unto you today from whence commit our help our help cometh from you god who made the heavens and the earth glory to god you said you will not suffer our food to be removed for he that keepeth israel will neither slumber nor sleep you are our keeper lord you are the shade upon our right hand the sun will not smite us my day nor the moon by night but you will preserve our soul oh god almighty you are our all in all today god some trust in their horses some trust in their chariots but we will
