my message and said we can go up there and hear the new motor he's willing to turn it on he says you can turn it on they are in the process of working on building the new exhaust system but he can fire it up for us so we can hear the very first start of the 1500 horsepower fully built can you sit down and just watching panic start revolution this is really exciting this car has been down for like six months you wondered was that september it went down yeah manny in the car with you that september man he's screaming and it's now manny was freaking out [Music] [Music] is it eight months two in steel gray but this car needs to be bold it needs to be bright it needs to be more dde so we've come to our good friend's protective film solutions to come up with something that i think is in perfect alignment to go with that crazy terra cotta interior and make all my boyhood dreams about owning this car come true so we're gonna do a one of one color as we do on daily driven exotics i ordered the very last roll of this color and i'm not even joking it was not easy to get took several weeks matter of fact so now that we have the car here now we just got to get scheduled in and hopefully by the time that gumball is over we will be able to do a full reveal and with any luck our good friends at al 13 will make us some new one-off wheels to go with the new color scheme this is a complete color change so this is a big big job that's why the guys that protect the film solutions want to be extra careful because when you do take cars apart there are chances that little clips and things could break and while on a career gt clips are not only expensive they're also hard to find so we just don't even want to have that issue so we're going to get ralphie the master tech here at protective film solutions his personal professional opinion we'll see yeah i guess clips are probably pretty pricey for this thing well it's probably harder it's the fact of even getting them master check ralphie come check this out come on color change door jams what do you need if anything probably just uh pop that off yeah because this is all pretty pretty easy yeah this is easy to come off there's just a couple of bolts to wrap this all this rear bumper and stuff's been off a bunch of times this comes out really easy from the inside we'd probably take this off and then just replace this with um a decal because i don't really want to paint that just keep the oem yeah we'll keep that one silver and we'll just put a black decal on so good news obviously they can wrap this they can wrap anything want to see the part that they said is going to be the hardest part likely to wrap on this car i said overall career gt has pretty simple body lines however this is the most complicated part this panel that goes in and runs and is split by this window so wrapping this and not showing any of the silver and then wrapping obviously the inside oh i didn't know that before because they're not gonna take this whole obviously roll bar off uh to wrap the car so they're gonna have to find a way to kind of work their way in and around that we're also going to go up to gintani because i know you guys are excited as i am to hear the 720 gtr motor fire up for the very first time to these years and those years so we're going to head up there but it's beautiful out i i'd cruise around in orange county a little sun you know lotion on but a drive for an hour and a half to two hours in the blistering sun is gonna require putting the roof back on they're working out the schedule so that hopefully they can meet our request to have this done by the time we get back from gumball you gotta do this thing too have you done this before yeah i've done a bunch of just have one on that's cool turbos well you can't really see it but because we saw it before now i showed you the interco i showed you the intercooler last time right i was holding it in my hand so because of the bigger turbos the piping that comes up to the inner core has to be changed compared to the stock car as a the placement so that's what they're doing right now so what happened was the way we need to put the piping for this car it was coming in the way of the end tank where every time we get them like this hey there's always something it's like this or it's like this so the intercooler has water tanks on each side fan tanks water tanks on each side so the fitting the fitting was coming out straight out of it but with this turbo with this with this turbo we gotta go around that and what happens is it gets in the way of the fitting okay so what we did is chris is now cutting new end tanks which will come in from the side so it doesn't get in the way uh the car runs so we can start it up it's already set up it's already set up for the injectors and everything so it fires right up how long until this car is buttoned up and we have being broken in because i know you have to break in the motor you said how do we break in the motor we're building the exhaust too yep that's easy though you guys build exhaust like nobody's business it's not that easy it's so easy is that the 5x over here we talked about that reliability that's the factory that's a transmission you see the cybex system so it all all bolts up into the factory placement oh it's cool and it's got it's got all the it's got a jumper harness so it goes to the factory harness the factory harness plugs straight into it so it's plugged in it's no no no there's a full stand alone so it doesn't run on the stock pc your stock you see it's gone over there well that's for the transmission the only stock you see in this car now is for the transmission other than that everything's up to the sidewalk so it's not full stop i sell the stock there's a full standalone stock ecu on ebay or what do i do you got balls you wear your watches around yeah we took all our stuff before we came to l.a like no oh why'd you take it off okay dude we don't want to get jacked they strapped stay strapped yeah we're canadian so i can't even carry a knife so you just fire it up and we're gonna hear it come on you're gonna come out of here for now then we're gonna bring it back and join it in the middle because your car was set up for that and then we have to take it and get it gold or bronze cerakoted since uh dave said if it's not bronze
