- In this video, I'm talking about getting
better hearing aids on a budget. Coming up. (bright music) Hi, guys, Cliff Olson, Doctor of Audiology and founder of Applied Hearing Solutions in Phoenix, Arizona, and on this channel, I cover a bunch of hearing
related information to help make you a
better informed consumer. So if you're into that, make sure you hit that subscribe button, and don't forget to click the bell to receive a notification

individuals with hearing loss, and I'm talking 90 to 95% of them, that hearing aids are an extremely effective
treatment option, and oftentimes, the only treatment option. And if you were watching this video, the chances are either
you or someone you know has hearing loss that could
be helped with hearing aids. Hearing aids are way more complex than just simple amplifiers. Hearing aids are specifically
designed to amplify sounds in the ranges of your hearing loss, and not amplify sounds in ranges that you do
not have hearing loss in. There are also a variety of other features inside of hearing aids that can optimize your ability to hear in different listening situations. If a pair of hearing aids have been fit and
programmed appropriately, then all of these sounds
that you've been missing become audible once again. Effectively, this would
once again allow you to be able to have quality conversations with other individuals, enjoy nature sounds around you, enjoy music once again, and ultimately hear all the sounds of life that we often take for granted. The cool thing is hearing aids have become extremely advanced pieces
of medical technology allowing you to do everything from being able to hear better in background noise situations to being able to stream audio
directly from a smart device into both of your ears. Hearing aids have basically
become mini supercomputers that can fit into a device that is no bigger than the
tip of your pinky finger. But all of these
technological advancements take years to develop and require the expertise of individuals that are way smarter than
I am, which isn't cheap. So if you're someone who's looking for a lower priced option, then premium hearing aid technology with all the latest and greatest tech may be out of the question. That's why ReSound, today's video sponsor, has developed the ReSound Key line of essential level hearing aids to help individuals who
are budget conscious be able to afford a
quality set of hearing aids with proven technology. Now, the first thing that
people often think of when you start talking about more affordable hearing aids is, what type of features am
I gonna have to give up in order to get a hearing
aid at a lower price point? Well, in the case of the
ReSound Key hearing aids, the answer is actually not that much. While you will not get the
same level of technology that you would find inside
of a premium level device like the ReSound ONE hearing aid, there are still a lot
of different features inside of the ReSound Key lineup that make this a very
impressive hearing aid even at a lower price point. And I'm gonna cover six
of those things right now. The first thing that you still get is the same organic hearing philosophy that inspires the development
of all ReSound technology. The closer that technology can replicate the hearing aid wearer's natural
ability to hear and listen, the better it can fit the lifestyle of each individual who uses it. So it's exciting to know
that the same philosophy that was used to inspire the development of premium ReSound level
technology like the ReSound ONE is this same philosophy that was used to inspire the ReSound Key hearing aid. The second thing that you
still get is connectivity. That's right. You do not have to give up connectivity with a lower price point hearing
aid like the ReSound Key. You can still stream audio
directly from your Apple device or your compatible Android device directly into your hearing
aids using Bluetooth Low Energy to preserve battery life. So whether it's music,
podcasts, audio books, YouTube videos, or phone calls, you can stream audio
directly from your device into your hearing aids so you can hear it but nobody else can. You can also directly connect to ReSound's existing line
of wireless accessories, including the Micro Mic and the Multi Mic, which can help you hear better in a background noise
situation among other things. And you can connect to
the ReSound TV Streamer 2, which can stream audio
directly from your TV into your hearing aids, which can significantly
improve the clarity of TV. But the connectivity does not stop there. You can still use the same
great ReSound Smart 3D App. You can use this app to
make different adjustments to your own hearing devices, like increasing and decreasing volume, and changing between different
programs and accessories. And you can also use it to
initiate ReSound Assist, which allows you to be able to
have programming adjustments made by your hearing care professional without you even having
to go into their office. Third, the ReSound Key hearing aids also come in any rechargeable option. In fact, the ReSound Key hearing aids can either use the basic desktop charger, or the same premium charger as the ReSound LiNX Quattro
rechargeable hearing aids that stores several charges so you do not have to have the case always plugged into the wall. Having a lower price point
hearing aid that's rechargeable is even better because you don't have to spend money on disposable hearing
aid batteries anymore. Not only that, but you
can get a full day's use on a single charge of the lithium battery inside of the ReSound Key hearing aids even if you're streaming a lot. While you can still get a
disposable battery version of the ReSound Key, I find it crazy to think that ReSound would give you
a rechargeable option inside of an essential level device. Just like the ReSound
LiNX Quattro hearing aids, the ReSound Key hearing
aids use inductive charging, so it's very easy to
put the hearing aids in and pull them out of the charger. So if you have finger dexterity issues, these are a really good option. Fourth, the ReSound Key hearing aids come in a variety of
different form factors, so you and your hearing care professional do not have to limit your
options based on style. This means if you want
a custom hearing aid, a receiver in the ear hearing aid, or even a super power
behind the ear hearing aid, the ReSound Key comes in all
of these different styles. Fifth, when you look at the features of the ReSound Key hearing aids, you might actually be thinking that you're looking at
a premium level device from several years ago. To see features like
Natural Directionality II, DFS Ultra II, Noise Tracker
II, Impulse Noise Reduction, Expansion, and a Tinnitus Sound Generator, these are all surprising features to see inside of a hearing aid
at such a low price point. And sixth, the ReSound Key
is built on the same platform as the ReSound LiNX Quattro. The ReSound LiNX Quattro is a popular ReSound hearing aid that was only recently
surpassed in technology by the brand new ReSound ONE. While it is pretty typical to see previous generations of technology being used in more
affordable hearing aids, ReSound is only a few months removed from having the LiNX Quattro be the flagship product in their lineup. Which basically means
that you get the benefit of better technology sooner
and at a lower price point. If you do not have a lot of
money to spend on hearing aids, or if you just don't want to spend a lot of money on hearing aids, it does not mean that you have to settle for cheap amplifiers that can not be customized
to your hearing loss and that don't have
any bells and whistles. So if you're looking
for a good hearing aid at a lower price point, then I would highly recommend
you consider the ReSound Key. That's it for this video. If you have any questions, leave them in the comment section below. If you like the video, please share it. If you wanna see other
