today I'll show you how to find your perfect sensitivity in valerant so you can start hitting more head shot before you even worry about changing your sensitivity the first thing that you should do is make sure that you have these two settings changed the first setting is mouse acceleration and we want to make sure that this is turned off mouse acceleration makes your cursor move based on speed instead of distance which will make your mouse inputs inconsistent to turn it off press the Windows key and type in Mouse settings once you're here click on additional Mouse options on the right side of your screen now click on pointer options and uncheck the enhanced pointer Precision box and this will turn off mouse acceleration the second setting to look at is raw input buffer and this is in the general tab of valerant settings whether this should be turned on or off depends on your mouse let me explain how it works raw input buffer adds a small delay between you moving your mouse and valerant receiving that input this might sound odd because normally any kind of input delay is bad but mice with high pulling rates can take in so much information that valerant can't process it and because of this it'll end up missing parts of your Mouse's input RW input buffer basically just prevents this from happening the general rule is that if you have a 2,000 HZ pulling rate mouse or above you should turn raw input buffer on and anything below that it should be turned off you can check your Mouse's pulling rate through your Mouse's software or by looking it up all right so now that we have our settings optimized we're going to move on to the exercise for finding our perfect sensitivity now to do this hop into the range and for our starting sense we're going to play on double what our current sensitivity is so for me that's going to be8 now hit F3 and set your Bots to easy mode and uh for this exercise I like to use jet knives because that way we have 100% accuracy and we can just focus purely on our a so now you can start the elim 30 and as you're doing this notice if you're over or under flicking so right here you see that's a big over flick another over flick so that's another over flick so at this point I can pretty safely say that this sense is too high for me so what I'm going to do is I'll turn it down by one so now I'm on 7 and we'll just do the same thing again and again as you're playing notice if you're over flicking or under flicking see there's an over flick and what you'll probably notice as you're doing this as well is that with the shorter flicks you're more accurate then when it gets to the further out ones you'll be more likely to over or under flick on them just like that right there so again I keep over flicking with this sense so once again I'm going to turn my sense down by one and we'll restart the elim 30 okay so this feels a bit better this is starting to feel more like a normal sensitivity that I'd use in game see I'm still over flicking a little bit though it's not nearly as bad as it was on point8 but it's still there for sure yeah so again the sense is obviously a bit too high for me so I'm going to do the same thing again I'll turn my sense down by 0.1 and then we're going to restart the elim 30 and again noticing if we're over or under flicking right here this feels pretty good to me right we're getting into a range where like I could play on this and uh have that be a reasonable thing to do so with the sense my flicks are pretty accurate but I am still over flicking with some of the further flicks um so since I feel like I'm getting into a range that's kind of playable for me instead of going down by ho one we'll go down by 0. five so I'm going to play on 4.5 and we'll see how this feels so now we're going to do it again on 4.5 and see how this is looking the sense feels pretty solid um still I'm over flicking a little bit but things are definitely getting into the range where I should be at so I think from here I'm going to move on to 4.3 and see how that's feeling so 4.3 and we're going to do it again there we go this feels really good this feels just about perfect for me right now I'm Hing most of my flicks and I'm not really over or under flicking I'm just going right to the target's head and yeah this sense feels really good so once you get to a spot similar to where I am a good test for the sensitivity is making sure that you can 180 with it because obviously being able to turn around fast and accurately is super important so to test 180s the main method that I use is again um with easy Bots to do it start up the Bots and turn around now listen for where the Bots spawns and make sure that you're able to 180 to its head fairly quickly and accurately and if you're able to do this pretty good the sense that you're on is probably a good one for you because we've already tested uh you flicking in front of you and you're able to do that well and you're also able to 180 and hit your shots like that too if you're able to do the first exercise well and you can flick the bots in front of you accurately but your 180s aren't good it means that your sense is a bit too low so try turning it up like one or two points and messing around in this range and you should be able to find something that you like so that's my method for finding the perfect sensitivity before you click off though there's a couple more things that we should talk about the first one is that as you're doing this exercise kind of think about your play style and the role that you play in the game and consider that while you're choosing your sense like for example if you're a duelist player you're probably going to want your sense on the higher end so you're able to clear corners while you're entering and all that but on the other hand if you're a sentinel man you'll probably want a lower sense because you're more likely to kind of be hanging back and having your enemies come to you also if your play style is more flicky you should probably have a higher sense and if you're more of a slow methodical aimer you should have a lower sense the second and final thing that I want to talk about is should you ever change your sense once you find something that you like I personally air on the side of getting comfortable with something and just sticking with it like me personally I've been using the same sensitivity for almost 5 years now I've had the same one since back when I was playing csgo but that doesn't mean that there's anything wrong with changing your sense if one day you kind of wake up and you realize that hey the sense kind of sucks I mean I can't aim well with it I think it should be a little bit higher or I think it should be a bit lower then there's nothing wrong with changing it it's not going to destroy your muscle memory like some people say you're still going to be good it'll just take you a second to adjust that's my sensitivity guide subscribe and watch this video next because YouTube thinks you'll like it peace guys
