FIGHT TO THE DEATH 😂 WIFE INSTALLS SOFTSTART RV AC

i might be in over my head but i am not going to let jon know that i'm scared right now so inside here right no no honey honey so this is the device it has these wires attached the wires look like this okay and it has a lot of these doodads in here the problem is you just won't listen you just will not listen to me problems you're not nice now i have to prove to myself that i can really do this we were one of the first rv youtube channels to actually cover the soft start last year and it exploded it's actually one of the fastest growing small companies in the rv space why because the product is amazing it allows you to run both your acs on 30 amps of power it's so important especially this year with the lack of campgrounds right having trouble finding spots you're not always going to get your 50 amp spot it's not just something that helps you in an rv park situation what it does is it makes it so you're not dependent on the rv park and that's why we called it a game changer so when you add the soft start to your air conditioners what it does is it gives you options you can run off of a 2000 watt small generator quiet generator you can actually run it off an inverter and convert your battery power from solar now everybody calls it a game changer yeah so to up the ante we're like what can we do that's different well one of the benefits of the soft start is that it's really really easy to install right we're talking with the owners yeah doug's like it's so easy to install and mercedes says well can i install it and i just cringed i'm like oh no he knew and he said yeah she can install it we've got tech support we've got videos to help you guys install it and you see the ore and i knew i knew one time mercedes called me at work and told me that she needed the sawzall i said what do you need with the sawzall she said i'm taking out the toilet and so god gives us all individual gifts and two gifts that god did not give mercedes is cooking and wiring or remodeling it's true i have no idea what a flux capacitor is and god gave you a lot of wonderful gifts i mean there's no man that can hold a candle to you when it comes to what you can do with your hands and building unfortunately all that knowledge is gonna die with you because you are a horrible teacher no i'm a horrible teacher with you and so it would have been so much safer and easier and probably better for our marriage to just have john do it right it was a fight it was a fight for the death because i was envisioning this rosie the riveter meets wonder woman type moment right where i was going to bask in my glory of like look what i can do and mind you guys mercedes has never done anything with electrical she's never put a screw cap on she's never disconnected or connected anything well the big reason we call tech support guys let's just call it like it is is because i don't like it when my husband tells me what to do he really doesn't i really don't so i was like um how about if somebody else gives me directions because babe keep your weight in towards the ladder keep your chest towards the ladder are you calling me fat no i'm not calling you fat this truly was a game changer for us and and you got to have one if you want to stay cool if you want to use your ac units on a 50 am 30 am 20 amp all the way down to 50 amp if you want to use your ac with a small 2000 watt generator or if you even want to use solar to batteries and then have a the right inverter the soft start is gonna help keep you cool when it gets hot this summer so one of the things soft start has done a great job on um to actually walk you through it it's super super easy to do and so they offer you different videos they offer you a diagram and they also offer tech service where you will set up an appointment put in a ticket and they will call you and walk you through the process while you're up on the roof installing the soft start i don't know if you guys saw when i tried a trainer how to drive the rv that was a nightmare we were both terrified yeah so we're gluttons for punishment so we have this plan right this is the best way that we can achieve me installing this exactly is with tech support so we put in the ticket it was super simple and easy he calls quickly and he's like hey i need you to get up and show me this diagram this this yellow sticker has a number on it that i need because every ac is going to have a different configuration and it's going to impact slightly what you have to do and as soon as tech support knows what the ac is it's simple last year when i installed the first soft star on our back ac unit it literally took me five minutes it was so so easy so we were hoping to show you this wonderful happy-go-lucky video of me installing the soft star in seven minutes and everything going easy but nothing went right guys it was a freaking nightmare we get up under the roof and we start trying to call this guy and realize we don't have phone support we have no cell service which is a was a big problem i immediately my heart dropped and i knew that there was no way they were going to walk her through this process now luckily for me i had done the back unit last year and so i popped the cover and i started showing mercedes how to do it oh inside here right no no honey honey but mercedes doesn't like me telling her what to do whatsoever i started trying to show the simple basics of what she was gonna need to do and then let her install it she wouldn't have it i'm gonna do this and you need to get the hell out of here no i never said that in fact we will let you guys be the judge we're gonna show you the exact moment where everything went downhill two hands two hands grab both hands yes just because i tell you doesn't mean you can't do it no i just just trying to get it right dude yeah the problem is you just won't listen you just will not listen to me the problem is you're not nice okay so what's your next step so my next step is connect the black soft start wire all right i'm not going to open the terminal don't screw it up thanks for the support this got a little uncomfortable because our neighbors were outside you know making burgers and hot dogs listening to music and then they were running around sage was playing with their daughter and and we're like fighting okay and it was embarrassing you could tell that they were uncomfortable but it was real we all have those moments so that's why we we kept it in and as i'm sitting down here steaming and wondering what she's doing up there and i hear her fiddle farting around with this and that and this and that i'm getting hotter and hotter and hotter literally literally and figuratively because we had to shut the the power off to the ac and it was the middle of the day and i hear her walking back this way and then walking across the roof to the next ac and then walking back the other way and i'm just wondering what the heck she's doing up there every five minutes it's going hotter and hotter and hotter and hotter at one point i literally thought about going outside and flipping the power on just to get her when she was up there and i'm not mad for him saying that because at one point i considered pushing him off the roof in fact at one point i would have welcomed him turning on the power to put me out of my misery okay i was so done with him so it got up to nine degrees in here what took me five minutes is taking her i'm looking at my watch now 45 minutes and i'm just pacing it's not true i'm pacing back and forth going what is she doing up there what did finally i said i'm going up i can't take this anymore i walked up i looked down i said hi babe what are you doing and she had just about finished up and it was what 35 minutes yeah 45 minutes is not true to be fair it took him five minutes it took me 30. and i'm really proud of that i think that's a success i think that proves that this is easy to install because if i can install this that means anybody can i would really recommend that you get it now as the hotter it gets the more their tech support is going to get overwhelmed with the tickets because they don't send you overseas they send you to actual professionals that are here in the us that know what they're doing they can walk you through it but they really do make it really easy this step to this step this step to this step once they know what kind of ac you have connect red soft start to the black slash purple wire rvs are a tin can and you guys know how fast they eat up when you're not throwing ac into them sometimes in florida our ac runs constantly and never shuts off you're not going to find the soft start any cheaper than you can get it with us guys please use our link the proceeds
