how you continue to bestow blessings of blessings on top of blessings over our lives lord we thank you lord for lord rebuking lord the accident demon lord allowing us to assemble together one more time and lord today it is in this service oh god that we ask you to come down lord we ask you to rain down your holy ghost power lord your chicana glory over this assembly today lord lord we ask you lord to reign the holy ghost down oh today lord today lord we rebuke the enemy lord that may be trying to distract lord that may be trying to cause confusion lord they may be trying to cause doubt and belief of faith on today but lord we know lord through your holy ghost power lord that you're gonna save somebody on today lord we believe in lord that somebody is coming down lord asking what must i do to be saved on today oh god we believe you today lord for sinners and backsliders on this morning oh god today lord we ask you lord to increase the faith of your people on today lord we ask you to touch the man servant on today our pastor oh god lord we thank you lord for the leadership on today and god today lord we ask you to let preaching be easy on today lord that there is no doubt lord you're gonna rain down lord the holy ghost on every one of us this morning god and god we forever give your name the praise the glory and the honor these blessings we ask in your son jesus name let get our scripture reading on this morning amen we're coming from the book of acts amen the first chapter amen the first verse to the eighth verse that is the book of acts they say the holy ghost in action amen the first chapter the first verse through the eighth verse amen amen and amen if you don't have your bible it's going to be on the screens to our writing to our left amen as our custom is amen we'll have responsive reading where i'm going to read the first verse and you the congregation is going to read the second verse and we'll continue to alternate until we get to that final verse the eighth verse which we will read all together amen we're gonna read that eighth verse with some power and conviction amen amen you have that this morning acts the first chapter the first verse amen the former treatise have i made o theopolis of all that jesus began both to do and teach congregation to whom also he showed himself alive after his passions by many infallible proofs being seen of them 40 days and speaking the things pertaining to the kingdom of god congregation verse 5 for john truly baptized with water but ye shall be baptized with the holy ghost not many days hence congregation and he said unto them it is not for you to know the times or the seasons which the father had put in his own power amen verse 8 all together but ye shall receive power after that the holy ghost is come upon you and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in jerusalem and in all judea and in samaria and into the uttermost parts of the earth amen come on give the lord a hand clap for the reading of his word amen at this time we're going to get our morning observations from dr coleman good morning and bless pentecost sunday praise the lord welcome to everyone on behalf of our apostle and first lady lady danielle we just thank god that you're here and like apostle said says all the time we would have service anyway but it wouldn't have been the same without you being here and for our special guest if this is your first opportunity being at full gospel holy temple could you stand at this time all of our guests your first time come on full gospel let's treat our guests like we always do with love we thank god for you being here with us this morning thank you you may be seated at this time and just know that we have multiple services we love blessing the lord lifting him up on one accord we have sunday morning services of course where the gates open at 9 30 a.m sunday school here in the main sanctuary at 10 a.m and then service begins promptly at 11 a.m we also have services sunday nights where the gates open at 6 30 p.m and service begins at 7 30 p.m also tuesday and saturday nights we come and we bless the lord again with prayer at 7 pm the gates opening at 6 30 p.m and then service beginning at 7 30 p.m and we are also being sure to be accountable to one another we know what's going out here on here in the world so we are practicing social distancing masks are not required but they are very much encouraged so we're just practicing safety everyone just stay safe and be accountable one to another and at this time we are not utilizing our water fountains so for our additional observations for this morning i have a few so be patient with me on friday night we're scheduled to be with the mckinney full gospel holy temple church for the appreciation services of pastor carl carl and first lady diane pierce we are also scheduled to be in houston for the appreciation services of bishop andre lee and first lady amy lee if you would like to send a love offering you can leave it here at the church and we'll make sure it gets to the mckinney and houston church families also our thoughts and prayers are with the following bereaved families brother josh moffett in the passing of his grandmother and uncle evangelist mary wilkes in the passing of her sister evangelist mary lee turner the service will be thursday may 27th in saint louis missouri and also sister irma bibles in the passing of her mother mrs l.v harris who was also the grandmother of brother kytheon bibles there will be a viewing friday may 28th from 2pm to 4pm at the evergreen memorial funeral home she will have awake friday may 28th as well from 6 p.m to 8 p.m at the mount mariah baptist church which is at 253 east margarita drive in garland texas and you can always refer to the fght app under the bereavement tab for additional details and arrangements concerning funerals also you know we are coming up on in june our pastoral appreciation dallas and garland fght we're hosting our annual pastoral appreciation and celebration and those dates are thursday june 10th through saturday june 12th service begins nightly at 7 30. our theme is steady leadership in turbulent times and we know that we're all there right we've been there and we're there now with the theme scripture of acts 27 21-23 and 31 but after long abstinence paul stood forth in the midst of them and said sirs ye have hearkened unto me and not have looked loose from crate and to have gained this harm and loss and now i exhort you to be of good cheer for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you but of the ship how many know we're still we're still in here we're there no lives lost spiritually hallelujah i mean a preacher our pastor has been preaching to us praise shall descend until who shall descend into the deep that is god you'll bring up christ again bring up the christ from the dead and all we don't have to wait till he come from the dead he already done telling you i'm looking for god amen to do something great in the midst of his people amen uh the book of zechariah amen just just one portion of scripture amen out of the book of zechariah the fourth chapter and the sixth verse and i want to a man that derive a theme amen out of the book of zechariah amen 4 and 6. when you have it say amen the bible gives us this intelligence then he answered and speak unto me saying this is the word of the lord unto zerubbabel saying not by might nor by power but by my spirit saith the lord of hosts not by might nor by power but by my spirit save the lord just look at somebody and just say by my spirit that's what i want to talk about today by my spirit now let me just take inventory of who we have in the house today if there's anybody that's ever been touched and empowered and indwelted and filled by the holy ghost and you know what power can do let me hear you give him the best praise you can give him right now [Applause] uh oh yes lord yes lord thank god for pentecost as we delve to the pentecost and let me let me say this as we hasten if you'll allow me to talk to you pentecost is the same as the old testament feast of weeks it occurs literally amen uh seven weeks after the passover pentecost is the time that they transition from the barley harvest to the wheat harvest it literally occurs 50 days so pentecost means 50th it happened literally 50 days after the passover if you count backwards it was 50 days to the day amen from the day that was celebrated the fact that jesus rose again from the dead but that was not all that there was to god's plan you've got to know that it is on pentecost that we celebrate the fulfillment of the promises and the prophecies that jesus gave us when he said to us that he would send us as john said another comforter amen that would come and proceed forth from the father amen he knew that we needed something if we were going to live the life that god required of us if we were going to be successful that was going to have to come he meant something that would give us that extra power that we needed in order to do the will of god that's the reason why he said to them listen i don't want you to leave i want you to go amen and i want you to go to jerusalem and wait for the promise of the father he said listen i've got to go away but if i don't go away then the comforter will not come and you need this comforter he said he's with you now and he shall be in you the holy ghost sons and daughters had always been god's plan to empower our lives as a matter of fact i think about it amen out of all that could have been said about jesus christ you think about john the baptist when he began to prophesy and he began to tell people amen the ministry of the coming christ the coming messiah it is absolutely amazing that john didn't say to them when he comes he meant he's going to raise the dead amen when he comes he's going to feed the hungry he's going to open the sight of the blind he didn't say amen that when the messiah comes to christ amen that he is going to do all of these miracles but john said there's coming one after me amen and when he comes he's going to baptize you with the holy ghost and with fire this had always been god's desire it had always been god's plan amen for us to be baptized with the holy ghost so jesus came to shed his blood to wash us and to make us ready to make us fit for the coming of the spirit of power that would proceed forth from the father amen and let me see this there's no need in going to pentecost amen if you haven't stopped by the cross first amen because a lot of times amen you have people that are jumping the gun no brothers and sisters we've got to do first things first amen the bible tells us amen that our bodies are the temples that god intended for the holy ghost to dwell in but then he comes in the book of romans and he says but we cannot allow sin to reign in our mortal body amen we've got to get rid of the sin problem or else the holy ghost cannot come and sit on the throne of our heart are y'all hearing what i'm trying to tell you amen there are a lot of people that are trying to bypass calvary and go straight to pentecost amen they can speak in tongues but can't live holy amen they can speak in tongues that have never even been saved they could amen they've been taught how to speak in tongues and he meant but the problem is they have never come out of sin they have never made him lord of their lives and sons and daughters it doesn't matter amen how many times people amen have told you you have it if you have not repented of your sin if you have not left your sin alone amen that you cannot be filled with the holy ghost y'all don't got quiet today amen you've got a lot of people that don't understand it he meant because we don't hear a lot of preaching about the holy ghost amen we hear a lot about blessings and finances and miracles and destiny amen but what we don't hear a lot about amen is what qualifies a person to be filled with the power of the holy ghost you've got to know that god never intended for sin to rule our lives he didn't create us amen to be subject to sin but through rebellion amen that's where mankind found himself amen but brothers and sisters jesus came and he shed his blood to wash us and to make us new to cleanse us from all of our sin and it is only on the other side of salvation that we now qualify to be baptized with the holy ghost look at somebody just ask them have you stopped that calvary first did you stop that calvary first amen because there are people now that are coming in the church amen and they're shouting but they're shouting in iniquity you've got people down that are preaching but they're not preaching from a place of conviction amen and consecration you've got those that are speaking in tongues but they're not speaking as the spirit of god gives them the utterance he says you cannot allow sin to reign or have dominion in your life so i've come to tell you if there's a sin problem then there can be no infilling of the holy ghost we've got to do first things up first we've got to come away from our sins we've got to leave sin alone amen we've got to determine now that he is the lord of our lives and that he is the king that will sit on the throne of our heart until we have made that determination until we have come to that conclusion until we have finalized that decision we cannot be filled with the power of the holy ghost amen you've got to be born again and i come to tell you that's not the end of the story amen but it is a necessary part amen god is the lawgiver he's the one who's long we broke so when we come to god we've got to ask god amen to forgive us amen then jesus is the one that comes behind and saves us and after we are saved now we've got to look to the holy ghost to empower us to live according to the life that god has called for us to live amen so you've got to know that in order to do the work of the kingdom amen we're going to have a change and a transformation amen none of us in our flesh amen in our natural state can do the work that pleases god amen our work is a spiritual work and in order to do the spiritual work that god has given unto us amen now we need the holy ghost and let me say this if you just got saved last night you still need the baptism of the holy ghost if you got saved early this morning don't you stop until you have been filled with the power of the holy ghost and we're at a point now where people say i don't need it amen i'm saved i'm good like i am i repented of my sin and i gave god my heart and that's all that i need and you know it's sad now that we're even in a place amen when you've got churches and denominations amen and preachers that are standing the pulpit and fight the baptism of the holy ghost you know they call us crazy because we we speak in tongues and amen we believe that god amen can give us the power to live right and the power amen to live a holy they say something is wrong with us amen so they stop at salvation and don't understand that there's another step of grace i'm reminded of jesus when he was praying to the father he said father i kept them while i was here he said but now i've got to go away and when i go they're going to need another comforter amen that means another of the same kind just as i was when i was with them they're going to need a power on the inside that's going to give them what they need in order to live holy oh god while jesus was here he could rise on their behalf and calm the sea he could cast out devils that they were not able to handle he could perform the miracles that they could not perform but once he left here he said they're going to need some real power oh i wish i could get somebody look at your name and tell her we're going to need some real power and jesus said lord i kept them while i was here amen that means that they were saved y'all weren't hearing me they were saved but he said you're still not complete until you have been endued with power from on high and so he prepared to be prepared mentally he prepared them spiritually for the coming of the power amen that were proceeded from the father but now that they had been saved he says to them in the book of john this holy ghost that i'm going to send you he's going to lead you and he's going to guide you into all truth he's going to be a teacher for you because now that you're saved you're going to have to know amen what pleases the father you're going to have to know the right moves to make and in the moment when it's time to make a decision when life is happening to you and you've got to decide do i go to the left or do i go to the right there's got to be something on the inside of you that's going to pull you and connect and attract you to the will of the father and he said that's where the holy ghost is gonna be amen he's going to be in you and what he's going to do child of god is that he is going to teach you and for everybody that says i'm saved but i don't need the holy ghost do you know how foolish that sounds amen can you imagine a baby amen at two months old he meant saying to his parents you don't have to teach me how to talk you don't have to teach me how to write my name do you know how foolish that is for somebody that's been born or born again to say i don't need to be told you don't have to teach me how to use a fork and a knife you don't have to teach me how to dress myself i got this can you imagine a two-year-old amen saying to his mother and father you don't have to teach me how to drive a car you don't have to teach me how to count money amen that's just how foolish it is for somebody who's been born again to say i don't need the holy ghost well how are you gonna know how to live right how will you know the thing going saying nothing here and sadly we've got foolishness amen that's sin we can be saved but we don't need the holy ghost but jesus said he's going to be a teacher for you oh god i wish i could get somebody to look at your name and tell her we need this power he said he's going to be able to teach you he's going to provide instruction for you and i come to tell your sons and daughters that even in our everyday lives we still need to be led by the holy ghost we still need to be led by the spirit of god because there are things that are coming up in our daily walk with god and we need the power of god to instruct us which way do i go god which way do i move which choice do i make and if you don't have the holy ghost then that means that you're depending on your might and your power but i come to tell you that's never going to be good enough we need the holy ghost and people are saying now that we don't need it but i come to tell you that you do i'm reminded in the book of genesis when god says to noah there's a coming destruction he says but now noah you can escape the destruction he said you need a ark and this ark is going to be what gives you a memory of power and the ability to escape and i love it because he said this ark has got to be three stories tall and i come to tell your brothers and sisters oh god if we gonna escape the danger to come we still need something street stories tall we need the father the son and the holy ghost i said if you're going to escape this destruction then you've got to be called y'all to get quiet here we love the father and son but you got folks saying i don't need that holy ghost but i come to tell you for what's coming upon the world for the journey that lays ahead of us for the battle that wages heart we gotta have this holy ghost power we've got to have something that gives us the strength in order to resist the devil and to do the work that god has called for us to do and i'll commit to it doesn't matter how you look at it the holy ghost is absolutely necessary can i talk my way out of it amen you've got to know that this life that god has called us to live this is what they call a tedious journey it is filled with danger it is filled with pitfalls it is filled with traps and hurdles and things that we've got to overcome if we're going to make it all of the way with god and i don't know about you sons and daughters but i told god years ago i was going all the way with god i'm just looking through the house today trying to find if i got anybody amen that pro god you were going all the way with him somebody look at your name and tell them all the way i tell them i'm going all the way with god i told god it didn't matter what came it didn't matter what went it didn't matter who was close to me and it didn't matter who walked away from me i was going all the way but you know this journey that we're on now is such a tedious journey it is so serious of a walk with god that the devil's always trying to turn us around and can i tell you what the devil loves he loves for you to try to do this on your own he loves for you to forsake the power that god has given to us i wish i could talk to you today i said the devil loves for you to lean to your own understanding because he knows that you're not strong enough he knows that you're too fragile he's gonna break your mind after a while he's too cunning and you can't figure him out but that's why he loves for us to say we don't need the holy ghost power i'm smart enough by myself but the devil is alive you know what my grandmother used to tell us she said it's enough you don't know how to make a whole nother world and i come to tell you you're no match for the devil without the power of the holy ghost i heard pastor demons say a thursday night this life you always say nothing it's easy when you have him but it's impossible when you don't there's no way you can live this life if you don't have the power of the holy ghost and i cannot tell you that's why people are falling and failing because they're leaning to their own understanding but when you have the power when you've been endured with the spirit of promise when the holy ghost has come upon you jesus said he shall receive power i wish i could find at least 397 of you to throw your head back and sell power [Music] i said look at somebody else and tell them power and show sons and daughters what we've got to do we've got to value everything that god gives us i'm trying to tell you when it comes to the blessings of the lord we want to take all of the blessings we write songs about it and we say stuff like what god has for me is for me give me my house give me my joy give me my money give me my husband give me my wife give me my car i'm not letting the devil take nothing that god gave me but then when it comes to the holy ghost we can take it or leave it but the devil is alive look at somebody tell them i want it all oh god i'm out here by myself i said look at somebody and tell them i want it all i want everything god gave me and i heard jesus when they say if i don't go back to heaven he said the comforter will not come he said but you need this power he said i'll let you know when i make it back to heaven because i'm going to send you the holy ghost and look at what the bible says the bible said that on the day of pentecost it came in like a rushing mighty wind that means it came in in a hurry look at somebody and tell them they tell them god want to feel you what's that you want to be filled he came in rushing he was looking for some ready heart to receive the baptism of the holy ghost i came to tell somebody today he's still looking for a ready heart he's looking for somebody that says i tried it my way and my way didn't work but i'm turning my life over to the lord save me sanctify me but then fill me with the holy ghost i wish i could treat somebody lift your hands to heaven say baptized me with the holy ghost with brother herman i've already been filled well good but today we're getting another touchdown they said i feel the holy ghost this is your day got some new strength in power if you believe it says we need i said we need it jesus said you gotta have it and so the bible says that he looks for them to receive it and he says to them you're going to know it because when you get the holy ghost you're going to get some power or you always say nothing here he said when you get the holy ghost you can expect more than a tongue you need to look for the power because there's a whole lot of people speaking in tongues so don't just look for the tongue if you want to know if somebody really got it like the bible said look for the power because if you can speak in tongues and still curse then all you got is a tongue but you ain't got no power but when you get power you can walk holy you can talk holy you can be horrible you can live holy [Music] jesus said i want you to go to jerusalem and wait there for the promise of the father he said don't try to preach don't try to sing don't try to conduct service don't try to be at us until you've been filled with the holy ghost that's why i tell them listen before you jump up and start doing stuff in full gospel you need the holy ghost i don't want your help preaching if you ain't never been filled cause the devil's gonna fight you but stay there until you get power but look at what he said he said i want you to carry it and that word carrick don't mean to sit on your knees and call jesus look at y'all and got quiet now let me say this i know people who have been filled with the holy ghost calling on the name of jesus i know plenty of folk but when we talk about doctrine we've got to stick with the word look at somebody and tell a neighbor tell them stick with the word i said look at somebody and tell them we got to stick with the word you know what i found out that the reason why a lot of folk have spent months you always say nothing trying to get the holy ghost it's because they didn't do it according to the word you know what jesus said what is that in luke 11 chapter he said that if earthly fathers know how to give gifts to their children then how much more does your heavenly father know how to give the holy ghost to them that [Applause] jesus wait a minute we're trying to get away from dependence on the spirit so what we have now why i feel like somebody got mad i'm just telling you what the bible said i've been trying to get the holy ghost for two months i don't read that in the scripture what i read in the scripture is that they were so ready for it that when they laid hands on them they got filled they were so hungry for it that why peter yet speak these words the holy ghost fell on us but now we're trying trying to get away from dependence on the spirit of god you know what we're doing in place of the spirit we're going to seminars well y'all don't get quiet now we we we're going to symposiums and and meetings and conferences because that's how we want to grow churches boy y'all ain't saying nothing y'all getting quiet that's how we want to get people to come in and we want to impact them so we're going to seminars and sessions but we're not having prior meetings and altar calls and lord y'all ain't nobody's saying nothing something is happening now in this lasting hour the devil is telling us we don't need to depend on the spirit of god anymore so our seminars are teaching us how to structure our pulpits in ways that don't offend visitors and what songs we can sing that don't offend people that don't like our jesus boy y'all ain't saying that i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm not going no seminar that tell me i can't sing nothing about the blood and if you get offended because i'm talking about my savior you can kick rocks because i'm telling you now when it comes down to making it it's going to take the power of the holy [Music] ghost [Applause] [Music] so so now we got conferences and we got all of these tips and tricks and steps one preacher the other day said when he first started out 25 years ago he had everything he had a good sounding choir he had musicians he he had people he had programs and and all of these auxiliaries that would reach out and grab people he said there was another church that started a little ways up the road they have nothing but a couple of old people so they had no they had no music they had no choir and he said when he saw him he felt sorry for him in the world they gon they gonna last how they gonna make an impact and they they ain't got nothing and look at them over there just a bunch of whole folk over there just sitting over hey look at all the people that's coming because we got all of this program going on and he said the other day i went to their 25 year anniversary he said i had to go by myself because my church shut down years ago he said i found out it's not about the programs you got lord it's not about your auxiliaries y'all don't got cry it's not about your self-help amen your symposium i come to tell you that except the lord build the household they that labor labor in vain i'm tired of going places to hear folks seminars and to hear what you learned at the symposium when people come to church and their demon possessed when they're depressed and suicidal they don't want to know what your self-help book said they want to know do you have enough power to make a difference in my life [Laughter] so jesus says to them you need the holy ghost you need power [Music] to resist the devil you need power to put the devil on the run you need power to welcome rightly i come to tell somebody jesus said that when you get the holy ghost ye shall receive power power for what power that enables you to do what he said to tread over serpents and scorpions power to up rightly lord y'all don't got christ i would have lived victoriously look at somebody tell them i can't live right i can live holy i can't make it through i can't do it on my own but i can do it if i got power power to speak authoritatively power to make the devil get out of your way look at somebody tell them you ought to get tired of the devil look at you in your eyes but the reason why he ain't going nowhere is because you don't have power or either you ain't using it but i feel like somebody today is ready to get the devil out of your business you need to rise in the holy ghost tell the devil in the name of jesus you've got to go i wish i had somebody that understood the power that you got to tell the devil how your leashes up can't take up space in my mind empire [Music] auxiliaries are never going to get it seminars are never going to get it symposiums and conferences will never get it but he said it's bad mass if we really want to see change we got to get back to dependence on the spirit of god what arises getting quiet today i said i wish i could get at least three witnesses out of the risers i said we got to get back to dependence on the spirit of god because when people come to church now they're not coming just to look at your program they're not coming to look and see how good the ushers look what they're coming for now and the reason why they're coming is because the devil is running them raggedy now the devil is doing them dirty and they're going to show up but they show up looking for deliverance they're not looking for counseling because they tried that out there they're looking for deliverance and when they show up we can't get up here preaching a bunch of philosophy preaching a bunch of mess that we heard at some dry seminar but i heard paul say in first corinthians 2 and 4 and my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom but in demonstration of the spirit and the power it's not about how good i sound i split verbs i get tongue tied but in spite of all of that if i got the holy ghost he'll translate my words to the ears of the hero and somebody is going to get delivered somebody is going to get saved and filled with the holy ghost if you believe it says by my spirit says the lord peter found out he needed it peter said i'm strong enough i'll die for you if they chop you down first they gonna get me second cause i'll never leave you but y'all ain't saying nothing hey you got a lot of folks told god when they got saved i'll never leave you but they didn't get power and when the heat turned up peter found himself saying stuff like i don't know that man the devil kept poking at and peter said all right look you're going on i'm trying to tell you i i said i didn't know him now going on then [Laughter] and the next thing we know [Music] peter cussing and saying all kind of stuff because he didn't have no power but on the day of pentecost when they were trying to accuse him of being drunk peter said this ain't liquor this ain't that thunderbird this ain't that boom you this is [Music] mm-hmm peter said this is something else there's something your mama ain't told you about this you don't know nothing about this this this is that new one that old woman have you cussing your daddy you're always sitting and fighting your wife but when you get this new one look at somebody ask them have you had some of that new one cause if you got new it don't make you rowdy and god god you always say nothing if you got that new one honey sometimes you will stack a house but it's the holy ghost look at somebody tell them neighbor ain't nothing wrong with me something's right with me this is that time when you get naturally drunk it saves your world yes and when you get the holy ghost it'll change your words you'll start talking differently that always happens i have your staggering got could i preach up in here i wish i had somebody that would throw your head back thank god for that new one stop trying to get by based on what you know depending on our phd and our dd to get us by god said it's not by power it's not by mind you're not smart enough to beat the devil you're not strong enough to fight him off but it's by max [Music] somebody say but brother ham and i i don't know if i can if i qualify because i messed up too many too many times i i ain't the kind of person god wants in his church can i tell you your past don't disqualify you [Applause] people think that sin disqualifies you for salvation and don't even realize that the reason why you qualify for salvation it's because you are a sinner [Applause] he said i came to seek and to save them which were lost but after he saved you then you gotta want to stay saved i said after he saves you then your heart's got to be determined to go all the way i wish i could find at least three of you gotta look at somebody again and tell them all the way i'm going i'm going all the way i'm not backsliding because i don't have to did y'all hear what i said i said i ain't backsliding cause i don't have to then you got others who say brother herman i'm okay with the idea of having power but i just don't think you got to be filled with the holy ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues and my question is then how you know you got it that is the initial y'all hearing what i'm telling you when the day of pentecost was fully come the bible said they were all in one place with one accord somebody said they won't want to go look at somebody that's the problem get off the court you you standing on the court they were with one accord and the bible says it came from heaven the son of a rushing mighty way the bible said not only that but but they appeared unto them cloven or split tongues as a fire and it sat upon each and every one of them it sat on them and and this is what this is where it gets interested interesting and then the bible said they began to speak in other tongues as the spirit gave them the utterance and the bible said that there was because this is what they call a pilgrimage festival this is where you have to come and present gifts before the lord and so because people had to come from everywhere the bible said they were scythians and parthians and meads and oh god there were folk from everywhere and they said wait a minute we know something has happened to them not because we saw cloven tongues of fire not because we heard the wind but because we had them speak we know something has taken place because we had them speaking in our language these ignorant galileans speaking fluently in our native tongue how did they learn how to talk to us like this but then when you go to acts the 10th chapter he talks about how the gentiles receive the power of the holy ghost the 10th chapter is is is about eight years after pentecost oh god eight years after the initial pentecost but you know what the bible says when those gentiles got filled with the holy ghost the bible said they heard them speaking with other tongues boy y'all didn't got quiet eight years later the initial proof and evidence is still the same as it was on the day of pentecost he feel the jews and they heard him speaking eight years later he's filling the gentiles and they still hear them speaking with other tongues as the spirit of god gives them the utterance whatever you need to do whatever battle you have to fight it's by my spirit it doesn't matter on what battlefront seems like the war is waging hot it's by my spirit says the lord if you're gonna make it it's not gonna be by power and by might not your natural abilities it's not i was really what is that is that is that is that is that psalms 30 when it says no king has ever been saved by the might of his army no strong man no warrior has ever been saved by his own might that's not what gains us the victory psalms the 20th chapter says that some trust in carriers and others trust in horses and i'm telling you now because there's a spiritual enemy you've got to fight a spiritual war and that's why he says in corinthians the 10th chapter that the weapons of our wife are not carnal what their mighty how through god it's by my spirit [Music] you can't fight and win a spiritual battle if you depending on yourself to be smart enough the devil will crack your mind y'all ain't saying look at the church getting quiet now he'll frustrate you because you're easily frustrated anyway and that's why you can't depend on yourself you gotta get you're always saying nothing here you've got to get in the spirit and learn how to fight he's too cunning he's too widely he's too deceitful for you to depend on yourself but it's by by my spirit says the lord somebody here today you've been trying it on your own you coming to church you you've never even taken the time to get the holy ghost you just you just keep coming to church and the devil has convinced you that you got all you need if you didn't need it god wouldn't have sent it and you say you want everything else god got for you then why not get the power of the holy ghost can i ask you something is it going to hurt you to get it then why resist it why listen to a preacher tell you you don't have to have it it's only for the 12. that's somebody that don't know the scripture it was more than 12 that got it on the day of pentecost bible said among those that were there the mother of jesus christ in the upper room on pentecost and i don't care how close you feel like you are to jesus you ain't his mama and if his mama had to have the holy ghost boy y'all done got quiet i don't know why the church don't want to say man on pentecost i said if his mother had to have it then you've got to have it too you lie with somebody would look at three people and just tell them you got to have it you got to have it you need to you can't live without this power this power is for you stand to your feet i feel like i need to pray for somebody right now i'll just quit her i can't be here all day but somebody
