have um the youth and young adults uh but they they always have all their congregation come so if you wanna join us for that and then fireball will be next thursday a one night or july 16th you can join us turn with me if you would to luke chapter six we want to go ahead and receive tonight's ties and offerings [Music] [Music] i want us to look here luke 6 38 [Music] give and it maybe will be given unto you give and if it's in god's will it might be given back to you good measure press down but isn't that sometimes what we think give and if i pull the right levers push the right buttons it might come back to me good measure press down no it says give and it shall be given unto you good measure pressed down and shaken together and running over shall men give into your bosom for with the same measure that ye meet with all it there's that word again it shall be measured to you again give and it shall that's the key word it shall until you're convinced of it shall you'll struggle to receive the only rule with this verse is that you keep your faith engaged that's the only rule that you believe that god's word is true for you give and it shall be given that means it's true for me it's true for you it's true for your neighbor give and it shall be given unto you not just given but good measure pressed down shaken together there are some adjectives that describe how it shall be given so don't think it shall be given unto me only in a smaller measure then it shall be given unto you know so-and-so christian who's lived a longer christian life than me and does better than me that's not true give and it shall be given there's no that's not excluding anybody don't ever let the devil talk you out of your measure of what you can receive that's what he wants to do he wants to minimize your measure and that's carnal thinking when you let him minimize when this says give and it shall be given there is nobody that it's saying that rules out given it shall be given unto you i'm a you say i'm a you as long as i'm a giver i'm a you amen don't let him diminish because of your past because of maybe some way you feel like you made a mistake because you feel like you know what he used to try to work on me i didn't that i didn't know enough he'll try to take the measure of the word or your measure of faith and use it against you do you know you can have a smaller measure of the faith of faith in the than the person sitting next to you and it still be great faith [Music] great faith is not by the measurement it's by how much you use it people think great faith is based on the amount that you can believe for great faith is not based on the amount you believe for it it's based on whether you're believing or not great faith is not whether or not you can claim a paid off home versus paid off just getting in a new place to rent both require faith and if you use it to its fullest it's great faith amen so this scripture just requires whatever measure of faith you have whatever great faith you have no matter how small how big don't ever let the devil uh convince you that you don't know enough that you haven't believed long enough that you don't qualify for good measure press down shaking together you may be only you only uh can apply for the good the good measure no you can take it all given it shall be given so every time you put offering your offering you understand now this is for the offering the tithe is god's i don't ever claim this over my tithe because that's not mine that's his that ten percent belongs to him that's me confirming every time i get my tithe i'm just reminding myself of my covenant with god that my part is 10 and to live for him his part is to provide all that i need take care of all my basic needs and then when i pull out that offering i'm going to let the devil know everybody else watching watch this devil i'm giving over and above because i serve a god who's over and above i'm tapping into the abundant flow from heaven that belongs to me i'm giving and it shall come back to me good measure press down shaken together running over men shall give into my bosom amen you can believe that you can speak that every time you can even use that to answer every doubt thought that comes to your mind regarding how many offerings have we let go by that we knew it was the right thing maybe we gave out of habit good habit it's that's a good habit to have but we let an offering go by that we didn't declare i'm giving and it shall be given unto me amen are you ready to give this evening well every time we give we're worshiping god we're honoring him we're thanking him that we're in covenant together amen he provided jesus that sealed our covenant my covenant rights were one my life is his but all that he has is mine as well amen so let's worship him tonight with our giving father we thank you we magnify you we praise you and we glorify you with our giving father you're our source you're our provider you've done so many wonderful things in our lives and in our family you've done so many wonderful things in this church family we are grateful for all of the many blessings we have seen take place we're grateful for what you're doing for us right now and father for the things that you have ahead for us we are so grateful we will lay hold of them by faith we'll receive of them by faith we thank you holy ghost for being our helper tonight as we come together to receive from the word of god and so father as we give we're declaring together that you're our provider you're our supply god you are our source and we know father as we give our offerings uh that it shall be given unto us good measure pressed down shaken together and running over we receive it we believe it father in jesus name and let's say together congregation my god shall supply all my needs according to his riches and glory by christ jesus and everyone said amen [Music] so praise the lord father we're so grateful for the opportunity to be together tonight we're so grateful to call one another family and father we're so grateful for your word tonight it gives us answers for our lives and so we've come to have ears that hear eyes that see hearts that are open and receptive and we look to you for divine entrance to come and we give you thanks for your word how we love thy law it is our meditation all the day long and everybody said amen we want to uh remind you that the book of the month is brother joel siegel's new book fearless i've begun it and it is so good and uh we ask you invite you get hold of it i tell you what it'll make you realize that things you put up with you've been free from all along and uh so we encourage you to get hold of this and how life would be different if no fear plagued you if every decision were free from fear if every action had no taint of fear on it how bold your life would look and so that book is out there it'll be a blessing to you and of course we make these books of the month available to you because we want to as church family we want to be feeding the same direction we want to uh we want to make sure that we're on the same spiritual diet also uh we've been on the at the prayer services on sunday afternoon we've been teaching and talking about praying for the nation so we put this uh this is printed out for you if you want to pick one up at the information booth out there or it can be downloaded from off our website if you want to hold hold on to it on the device so that's out there hallelujah i i want to um i want to go ahead and continue with a direction that we were going in a previous service and turn with me if you would to revelations chapter 3. revelation chapter 3 and we're going to start reading in verse 15. revelation chapter 3 and verse 15. we had talked about it on a previous service about how with all the different restrictions and guidelines that our countries and different states or counties are facing you may walk into a a place of business we've walked into a restaurant or two in the past and they stood there with a a temperature gun and they put it to your head and i go make sure that's not loaded you know but uh they put it to your head they're taking your temperature because your temperature is an indication of if there's a physical issue and so even they don't have to know anything they don't have to know your name they don't have to know your history they just take your temperature and your temperature tells them a lot and so it's an indicator well even so just as there are indicators with our physical temperature that dick that reveal our physical health see something here in revelation chapter 3 verse 15. jesus said to the church of the laodiceans he said i know thy works that thou art neither cold nor hot i would that you were either cold or hot so then because thou art lukewarm and neither cold nor hot i will spew you out of my mouth so if we're listening to this we would think in reading this it seems to me at least lukewarm will be better than cold but as we previously stated lukewarm means you once had heat applied to you and you backed off and jesus is saying i'd rather you not have any light of the word than back off from it amen i'd rather you had not had any fire of the holy ghost then step away from it and so this is why he said uh we're to be either cold or hot what is he telling us that these are indicators of our spiritual temperature and our spiritual health amen and uh so go with me if you would to romans chapter 12 romans chapter 12 and we want to make sure that if we were to go home and we realize hey you have a temperature your body has a temperature you would address it you wouldn't just leave it unacknowledged well if you realize that you're not as hot spiritually as you were we need to address it and not leave it unaddressed because we want to make sure that our spiritual temperature uh that it shows us that we're we're well spiritually amen romans 12 and verse 10 says be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love and honor preferring one another not slothful in business and look at this word fervent in spirit serving the lord the word fervent in this verse the definition means to be hot to boil so he's saying that he wants us to be boiling over in the spirit hot for god and then that's how we're to come serving him that if we're serving him lukewarm we're not going to we're not going to be the blessing in the serving that we could have been and this is many times an indicator when people don't rejoice in the serving it's not because somebody's asking too much many times it's because sometimes they're too warm they're not hot they went to the warm direction and so we want to make sure that he listen god deserves hotness instead of what is anything less than hot is really an apathy a spiritual apathy i don't really care i'm kind of casual i'm kind of i just float towards spiritual things listen i'm so glad when jesus came to the earth he didn't just flow he was on fire for what he was born for amen the amplified says of verse 11 never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor be a glow and burning with the spirit serving the lord so we can say this when people are full of the word and full of the spirit it's going to show up in their spiritual temperature they will be fervent amen this is how the lord wants to be served and in a previous service we talked about things that will lower our spiritual temperature to stay away from and then things that can cause our spiritual temperature to be hotter and uh first second timothy go with me if you would second timothy chapter 2 2 timothy chapter 2. paul is writing to timothy and wouldn't we know that paul knew something about overcoming opposition overcoming persecution and when he had gone through all the beatings he had faced the fastings the stoning the shipwrecks all these things that had opposed him and persecuted him at the end of it all he said i have finished my race i have fought the good fight i have kept my faith so notice this what was it at the end of it all he's still burning hot he is still burning hot he's fervent that opposition did not cool him amen it did take his spiritual temperature in the negative direction but it it caused him to be hotter for god and uh ii timothy chapter 2 and verse 3 the king james says when paul was writing to timothy he said thou therefore endure hardness as a good soldier of jesus christ how many of you know a good soldier does what he's told a good soldier is not grumbling he's not murmuring he's not complaining he's not talking bad about his superior officer in the you know in the mess hall a good soldier is uh is faithful to his physician faithful to his company he's adding to that company he's not diminishing it through a bad attitude so when hardness comes our attitude should not diminish it matters that we stay full of the word and full of the spirit and when we are we will be fervent in spirit we will boil over and we will be hot and therefore things that come against us do not set us back they don't set us back in fact we thrive on it amen amen um i want you to go with me i want to take some time tonight and read through a passage if i could daniel chapter 3. i want to read through something when keeping in mind this verse in timothy thou therefore endure hardness as a good soldier of jesus christ we can see this played out in this passage in daniel chapter 3. and we'll start reading in verse 14 but to set it up for you king nebuchadnezzar had set up an image of himself and he called together all the dignitaries all the leaders of his empire to come and on a certain day they were to come together and when the music played everyone was to bow to this image well shadrach meshach and abednego these three hebrew men were in leadership positions and so whenever the music was sounded they just stood amen so you can imagine when all the dignitaries are bowing you can see who's standing right well they're going to now get to endure some hardness as a good soldier right and so this is where we pick up the account of these three hebrews in verse 14. there it's being reported to king nebuchadnezzar that these three men did not bow so nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them is it true oh shadrach meshach and abednego do you not serve my gods nor worship the golden image which i have set up now if you be ready that at what time you hear the sound of the coronet flute heart sac but sultry and dulcimer and all kinds of music you fall down and worship the image which i have made well meaning then where i'll go back on good terms but if you worship not you shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace all right now let's endure hardness as a good soldier and he makes this statement in verse 15 and who is that god that shall deliver you out of my hands meaning he's saying my hands are greater than the hands of your god shadrach meshach and abednego answered how anybody read a book called answer it they answered now it's going to show their spiritual temperature and they said to the king oh nebuchadnezzar we are not careful to answer thee in this matter in other words we're not going to measure our words we're not going to counsel together and see how can we say it in a way that you're pleased and we're saved we're not careful to answer thee in this matter in other words we're not going to be politically correct 17 if it be so our god whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace and he will deliver us out of thy hand o king but if not be it known unto the o king that we will not serve thy gods nor worship the golden image which thou has set up so many read this wrong they read it as if god delivers us we're not going to serve you but if he doesn't deliver us we're still not going to serve you well you don't have to tell a man that if god doesn't deliver you're not serving because you're crispy you are no longer if god doesn't deliver you you don't have to tell him we're not going to bow down to you once you throw us in so this is the way it's to read verse 17 if it be so if you do throw us in our god whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace and he will he will this is the talk of a fervent man this is the talk of someone full in their faith he will deliver us out of thy hand o king because see verse 18 is not backing up on what they just said in verse 17 but if you don't understand it right you'll think that they're giving options they're not giving options verse 18 says but if not but if you don't throw us in in other words you're the one that's going to change your word not god if you throw us in god will deliver us but if you back up on what you just said be it known unto thee we will not serve your gods nor worship the golden image which thou has set up then was nebuchadnezzar full of fury why he's doing this in front of all the dignitaries of his empire they all see him challenged and the form of his visage was changed against shadrach meshach and abednego therefore he spake and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was want to be heated it had never been heated this hot stoked the fire why why make it hotter won't a regular fire do the job but they were so bold and so fervent that the king started doubting his tool of destruction and said heat it hotter how many times have you stood in faith and things got worse it doesn't matter that things get worse when things get worse it shows the enemy's scared he's exposing that he is getting he's doubting his strategy against you amen don't get upset when things get worse realize the devil's frightened can i tell you this satan is a fearful being that's why that's what he produces that's why he's skilled with it because he himself is a tormented fearful being amen and verse 20 and the king commanded the most mighty men why use the mighty ones he's scared he's questioning their boldness made him so to speak back up on what he thought he could produce amen and he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind shadrach meshach and abednego and cast them into the burning fiery furnace verse 21 then these men were bound in their coats their hosen in their hats and other garments and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace therefore because the king's commandment was urgent and the furnace exceeding hot the flame of the fire slew those men that took up shadrach meshach and abednego god was showing the furnace is working [Laughter] because if these men walk out on burns somebody's gonna say the furnace wasn't working right god is giving testimony the furnace works amen just like there have been different ones that have said when moses and god's people left egypt and they went across the red sea they said well it was only ankle deep you know there's a place where it's only ankle deep they were trying to diminish the miracle of it and that's a greater miracle that pharaoh's army got drowned in ankle deep water and then uh you have daniel thrown in the lion's den he comes out untouched he made him his pillows instead of him being their dinner he made him his pillows and when he walked he comes out of that that that lion's den uh the king has the men who strategized against daniel to be thrown in to show the lions really were hungry amen so what happens we see that when the devil makes a plan against you that it's not it's not your undoing it's his undoing if you will stay face that fervently full of the word full of faith full of fervency then uh it will be his undoing the bible says about jesus that said that had they known the kingdom of darkness would never have crucified the lord of glory they thought they won and it was their undoing so everything that is in opposition to you if you'll stay full of the word and full of faith in worshiping god it will not be your undoing it will be the opposition's undoing and it will be your launching pad [Music] so the furnace burned up the men the furnace is working verse 23 and these three men shadrach meshach and abednego fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace then nebuchadnezzar the king was astonished rose up in haste and spake and said unto his counselors did we not cast three men burn into the uh bound into the midst of the fire now i'm going to start questioning the sanity of this man because in front of all of his dignitaries of the empire he looks unsound he's talking to three men yeah he had a conversation and then now he said where are there really just three did we not cast three men bound in the midst of the fire they answered and said unto the king true o king they're they're deep they're deep true o king verse 25 he answered and said lo i see god will let those if you will if you will stay with what god says those who oppose you will see god is with you he answered and said lo i see four men they're loose they're walking ah they're moving around finding the hot spots walking in the midst of the fire look at this this is this is the king's word they have no hurt they have no hurt they are in a fire that would have that was three men's and a c shadrach meshach and abednego saw the soldiers burn up in front of them but they didn't they didn't they didn't waver they've got a lot to a lot to keep their eyes off of and king nebuchadnezzar says they have no hurt and i love this phrase and the form of the fourth is like the son of god now notice back up here he said who is this god that will deliver you out of my hands and down here he knows he's got a son now he came into some understanding ah this god has a son verse 26 the nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace and said shadrach meshach and abednego you servants of the most high god now he found out who is this god ah it's the most high god he changed his testimony in front of all the dignitaries of his empire ye servants of the most high god come forth and come hither i don't know i think i would have said furnace isn't working right come get us but he has such confidence that they're moving around in the form of the fourth is like the son of god that they cannot they not only went into the fire they can come out under their own power they didn't have to hauled out they didn't have to turn off the flame and let it cool they walked out in front of every person there then shadrach meshach and abednego came forth of the midst of the fire and the princes governors and captains and kings councilors being gathered together saw these men upon whose bodies the fire had no power nor was a hair of their head singed neither were their coats changed nor the smell of fire had passed on them then nebuchadnezzar spake and said blessed be the god see he has just come into such light in revelation he knows he has a son he's calling in the most high god and now in front of his in front of his dignitaries he's blessing him blessed be the god of shadrach meshach and abednego ah look at this who has sent his angel he knows he has an angel and delivered his servants that trusted in him who does god deliver those who trust in him he delivered his servants that trusted in him look at this next phrase this is huge and this is what the king declares they and have changed the king's word ah they expected the highest man in the land to back up on his word before they expected god to fail them amen they have changed the king's word look at this they have yielded their bodies that they might not serve nor worship any god except their own god therefore i make a decree that every people nation and language which speak anything amiss against the god of shadrach meshach and abednego shall be cut in pieces somebody gonna die this king's all about that but now he's their biggest uh he's their biggest advocate and their houses shall be made a dunghill look at this because there is no other god that can deliver after this sort verse 30 then the king promoted shadrach meshach and abednego in the province of babylon what was to be their undoing was their place of promotion why they were hot for god these men were fervent in their focus they did not look at the furnace and back up on what they believed they did not look upon the burning soldiers and back up on what they believed they didn't back up when they heard the command heed it seven times hotter they did not back up amen what determines whether or not you'll back up your spiritual health how full of the word how full of the spirit because they were fervent i believe the gift of faith went into operation through them this is not ordinary faith but because they were full and fervent another faith met them and they were able to look at complete destruction and satan not me not me others may lose their children not me others may lose their business not me others may lose their marriage not me this is what fervency will produce someone who won't back up amen they could not be half-hearted and have walked out of this fire it matters how you go into a fire amen these men faced threat and fear without hesitation these men were fervent they were hot and boiling over with their confidence in what god would do for them and i say this when they were thrown into the fire they were thrown into their element because they were burning before the fire was heated so what was intended as fire to be their ruin only caused them to burn hotter you can't hurt fire with fire amen it only stoked them and they ended up with greater promotion and in one day a nation's loyalty to who they worshipped changed a nation was changed because they did not back up amen amen it does matter it does matter whether or not we're going to hold to our faith and whether we're not we're going to be fervent now we read out of revelations chapter 3 when jesus said i would rather that you be cold than lukewarm because if you're lukewarm and you're not hot i'll spew you out of my mouth meaning i can't flow through someone who is not hot because what's going to happen opposition is going to back them down they won't like they won't endure the test they won't endure like they won't endure hardness like a good soldier so our safety is in being hot and fervent but notice this jesus was not speaking to a man in revelation he was speaking to an entire congregation it is not up to just the preacher to be hot it is up to the congregation as a church family to be hot for god and if somebody comes in cooled down it affects the overall temperature of that church family and that congregation i will not be the cooling factor in my congregation i will not be the cooling factor in the body of christ i will encourage and stoke the fire with others that has to be your mindset that means you don't hang out with people who cool you down that means you don't go to places that cool off your hotness for god to where you're not boiling over that means you're not watching things that you shouldn't be watching in on the computer when nobody sees but god because your hotness will show amen amen amen it matters i said it matters the word tells us that god is fire from the low ends up and fire from the lowens down and he wants us when he said that we are to be a glow and burning with the spirit that's how we truly represent him amen because there's nothing cold in him there's nothing half-hearted in him it's all out it's an all-out movement with god it's an all-out uh it's an all-out working amen so fervency for two for this year our best year yet our best year yet let's stoke the fire how do we stoke it feeding hearing the word speaking in other tongues spending time with god and fellowship these are the primary ways that we keep ourselves hot for god acting on the word doing the word amen praise the lord praise the lord praise the lord fervent for god amen hot and burning hallelujah hallelujah if uh i want to read again something revelations chapter 3 let's look at it again verse 15. when jesus said i know your works that you are neither cold nor hot i would that you were cold or hot so then because thou art lukewarm and neither cold or hot i will spew you out of my mouth he wants us to be fervent and hot and as paul was writing and he said in romans chapter 12 and verse 10. the amp excuse me verse 11 the amplified translation says never lag in zeal and in earnest endeavor that means be thrilled be thrilled about what god's doing about his business about his family about what's important to him be thrilled with it don't just be interested in your personal business be interested also in kingdom business he says be a glow and burning with the spirit serving the lord now i want us to go go with me if you would let's go to matthew chapter 11 matthew chapter 11. if you're fervent in spirit and there's a spiritual fervency a hotness you're hot for god it's because you're full of the word in the spirit fullness breeds fervency amen fullness produces fervency and so if our spiritual temperature starts cooling down we can apply the heat of the word again amen we can the fire of the holy ghost and keep hearing the word keep praying in the holy ghost and stoking our fellowship with god in prayer but if your fervent spirit can i tell you this you'll have a song in your heart you'll have a song in your mouth that no matter what comes against you you're light you're not burdened down and heavy you're under a light and easy yoke not a heavy burdensome yoke amen if i could say this when you're fervent you're bringing your own party to the scene you don't wait for joy to be offered you you are god your own joy amen because circumstances are not going to always offer you joy so you got to bring your own to the parties that's right amen this is what fervent people do they don't wait for someone else to stoke them and support them they bring their own fire they bring their own spiritual temperature their own hotness for god to the scene amen matthew chapter 11 and verse 12 the amplified says this matthew 11 verse 12 the amplified and from the days of john the baptist until the present time the kingdom of heaven has endured violent assault and violent men sees it by force as a precious prize a share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion doesn't this depict a fervency meaning there are things that the kingdom has made available but to lay hold of it you cannot be passive and half-hearted and just hope something shows up with fervency and zeal you stir yourself up and you say that's mine that's mine and in the face of opposition you say that's mine i'm taking it amen amen to lay hold of what god has provided cause for fervency so that you reach past opposition fervency is what gets you past that which opposes and tries to block or hinder your progress yes amen and i'm not talking about a personality trait because some people allow their personalities to lead them the word has to lead you amen it's not the personality leading you as a pastor i have had to step past my personality to pastor well because in my personality i'm not confrontational but in the anointing and to keep my congregation safe i have to confront things i have to put my personality down if you're going to obey god you're going to have to step past your personality you're going to have to step past the person the natural man to give when god tells you to give something you're going to have to step past your mind to do that you have to step past your bank account to do that to obey him if you're going to obey god you're going to have to step past something to do that yes the mind the flesh and the opposition of the devil the world you're gonna have to step past it all amen and it's fervency that helps you joyously reach past your flesh joyously reach past the mental joyous joyously reach past circumstances romans chapter 4 and verse 17 just i won't read the whole passage but talking about abraham that he called those things which be not as though they were can i tell you it's it matters how you call amen that's good that's good this half-hearted calling won't reach that's right that's good amen calling reveals hotness warmness or coldness i mean as a parent have you ever called your children come here and they don't move and you say come here come here and they don't move you cold because when a parent means it we're not playing when i call you you come you don't sit there and look at me and say i'll come when i get done with this right isn't that right the way you call shows who's boss that's right the way you call shows who's boss and if you call half-hearted you ain't boss yeah that's right it's good if you call just periodically you ain't boss calls all the time wholehearted and everybody's going to do it amen right not in a mean way but in a productive way a fruit-bearing way when you're calling finances you can't just say oh father and you know i've been believing you know i've been under a lot you better stop that business that that that whiny business no no no no no you have to call boldly with fervency fueling your words hotness spiritually hot boiling over on the inside of you how do you get that way you get the word big in you you get the word full big in you and that will determine how the calling is i love uh one couple precious couple they were close to dead hagen and uh this couple one night in the middle of night she woke up they were an older couple and she woke up in the middle of night and she was ill and she reached over to her husband and she hit him and says get up and pray for me i don't feel good and he just reached over half-heartedly and put his hand on her and said be healed in jesus name she said that won't do it get yourself out of bed and you get over here and you put your hand on me and you rebuke this why because she knew this half-hearted calling doesn't work it has to be fervency behind it it has to have the fuel of faith behind it and when you've got faith that spirit of faith sounds different than a half-hearted call amen amen amen so faith calls can i say this faith has a fervency in its call amen it's a fervent call that keeps calling keeps calling keeps calling keeps calling we don't grow weary and well well-doing we keep calling we keep calling every day i call my body healed i call those finances i call the answers into my life i call the supply into my life your call from a fervency and i'm not talking about your personality because when there's fervency it'll override your personality you cannot live the faith life based on your personality don't let your personality rob your your fruit from your life amen amen second timothy chapter one in verse six paul again in his writing to timothy said ii timothy chapter 1 verse 6. wherefore i put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of god which is in thee i like how the amplified reads that is why i would remind you to stir up rekindle the embers of fan the flame of keep burning the gracious gift of god the inner fire that is in you it's up to you how high and how hot that fire burns it's not up to god has to be stirred stirred stirred amen everything god's put in you has to be stirred that's right that's right amen has to be stirred fervency you must stir yourself up to be fervent amen those who backslide in their fellowship with god missed it at this point they lost fervency yes amen they got excited about the church for a while came for a few months and lost fervency and the devil just picked them off now that's why we should pray for people because they don't always know but at those of us that are hearing the word we have to realize that our progress is up to us it's not up to god our spiritual progress is up to us and he's saying keep burning that inner fire why because the more fire you got under you the greater the turbo power you got right you know uh if you got a bicycle and you're gonna go ride the bicycle the only fervency you got's in your legs baby you can only go as fast as your legs can pump that bicycle but you get you a race car and you can see some of them especially ones that they're just they're set trying to set a speed record and i mean they'll have some kind of a rocket thing that a dumbed down version of it and fire will shoot out the back and that propel that forward but if you're gonna send something out of space you can't have that little car rocket thing you're gonna have to have a big fire stoked under that thing amen how great the fire determines how great the work amen how what what what assignment god can put us to and paul told timothy stir up that fire that's on the inside of you and then the next verse that he says god's not giving us a spirit of fear what's the thing that he's telling him that's using the devil is using as a strategy against his fire fear that's right that's right stir up the fire stir yourself up spiritually and that fear won't harass and torment you amen because fire fear can't stay where fervency lives why it burns it out burns it out now i want to go and we've already looked at several verses but i want you to go if you would with me to some different passages because i want to see what the word tells us that we're to be fervent in psalm 18 in verse 1. psalm 18 verse 1. the amplified translation says this talking to god i love you fervently and devotedly o lord my strength so he's telling us that our love toward god is to be fervent not casual that we are to love god with fervency amen i'm reminded of the woman and you've heard me tell the story of the woman who came to a pastor's church and when she would hear him refer to jesus as the healer she would stand up in the middle of the service not in a way to draw attention to herself but she'd stand up and start worshiping and after a period of time he says i notice every time i mention jesus's healer you stand up and start worshiping and she said yes she said pastor she said 15 years ago i was dying of cancer and jesus healed me i cannot hear him referred to as healer and me not remember what he did for me that's called fervency of love for the one who moved and rescued her life that's it shows up can i can i tell you the way you show gratitude shows your spiritual temperature you know if somebody does something for you and you don't even tell them thank you appropriately or half-heartedly they probably won't do it again why because something's wrong in the heart so god wants us he's showing us that there should be a fervency in our love toward him amen that means somebody doesn't have to prod us to go to church we love him we want to be where he's his family that's the appropriate mindset amen i love you fervently amen well do our actions show a fervency jesus said if you love me keep my commandments do what i say so our obedience shows our fervency of love for god the second thing that we're instructed is song of solomon chapter 2 verse 15 the amplified you may just want to write the passage down and look at it later song of solomon chapter 2 verse 15 the amplified says my heart was touched and i fervently sang to him my desire so he did something on when when somebody's heart is moving in god's direction the way they is going to have a fervency not a half-heartedness not a in i'm just enduring the praise and worship so i come late to the service so i don't have to be standing through all that fervency issue and our fervent our worship is to be fervent now go with me to acts chapter 12 and verse 15. we'll look at several under this next topic acts chapter 12 and verse 5. did i say 15 i mean verse 5 acts 12 verse 5 the amplified we know this that james had been arrested thrown in prison and then king herod had him killed saw that it pleased the jews and he proceeded to take peter also he arrested peter and it says in verse 5 the amplified so peter was kept in prison but look at this but fervent prayer for him was persistently made to god by the church so it wasn't they just prayed you know a little hope god does something for you right before the right before the eighth or dinner they got together as a church body and they fervently prayed why because fervency shows how interested you are amen fervency shows our interest level and because they were interested their faith came up before god and as you know god worked supernaturally in peter's behalf and an angel came and escorted him out of that prison a personal escort from heaven brought about by the fervency of prayer and faith of those who loved him james chapter five now see james was not delivered why someone wasn't fervent in their interest in his life james chapter 5 verse 16 the king james such an important scripture for us the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much fervent prayer is a prayer that doesn't cease till the answer is seen amen that means fervency turns you into someone who doesn't quit you don't give up until the answer shows up amen the effectual fervent prayer not half-hearted you're all in i'm not given up till this thing gets changed then colossians chapter 4 in verse 12. colossians chapter 4 verse 12 and this is the king james it says epaphras who is one of us a servant of christ saluteth you always laboring fervently for you in prayers that you might that you may stand perfect and complete in all the will of god fervency will make you a continuer you continue i remember several years ago i was had a prayer group a daily prayer group up here and the spirit of god said to me come with me i want to show you something and he showed me something about the home we were getting ready to purchase and then he showed me the outcome of different people's lives at the end of that he said you want to know why i showed you the outcome of their lives i said yes he said because you pray for them what you pray about god will involve you in amen in a way to bless people you'll gain light understanding that others who don't pray why because they're not fervent they don't continue in their prayer lives so we're to be fervent in our prayer lives fervent and praying for one another now what that means excuse me is that you're going to have to on purpose choose to be interested in someone else yeah you don't wait until you feel feelings of interest you choose feelings of interest it's not appropriate to not care that's right what other people are going through amen just because it doesn't affect you maybe directly amen this is the mindset that paul said epaphras he labors for you fervently so that you can be in the will of god yeah fervent prayer gets results yes then first peter chapter one first peter chapter one in verse 22 the amplified see that you love one another fervently from a pure heart so he's saying we have to we have to be genuinely interested that love is interested in how someone else is doing so we're to stoke our love for somebody else verse 23 you have been regenerated born again not from a mortal origin a seed but from one that is immortal by the ever-living and lasting word of god so what he's saying is this love comes from that born-again place amen you don't you're not loving people with flesh you're loving them from a born-again spirit with the life of god in it and that's how come there should be a fervency in that love because you're not loving from emotions you're loving from the divine life in you the love of god that's in you amen so we have to tap into that place of loving people not an emotional place or a mental place of loving people amen it's a divine love that we're drawing on in our fervency in loving one another that means you would rather take a bullet before you say something against your family your brethren your local church your leadership one another i won't do it because for i am loving them with a divine love and god gave me his love and i won't dishonor it by saying something negative that's to their undoing i will not show them in a bad light that's what fervency of love does it shuts down gossip amen it shuts down wrong words when gossip encounters divine love it goes silent it's not repeated amen amen now first peter chapter 4. first peter chapter 4 verse 8 the king james says this and above all things have fervent charity or love among yourselves for charity or love will cover the multitude of sins so when you fervently love someone you you're not broadcasting yeah what ought to be dealt with silently amen that doesn't mean you condone it it means i'm not fueling it i'm not going to show someone in a bad light fervency of love causes our mouth to shut down on what should not be said and it opens our mouth boldly toward what should be said amen amen then [Music] go with me to mark chapter 10. mark chapter 10 and referring to fervent love towards someone else can i say this you end up stretching past yourself to bless someone else because this self-love can get in the way of fervently loving someone you're reaching past you to fervently love them you will stretch yourself to bless someone else you'll put yourself on the line to be a blessing to someone else to help them well it's not convenient we're not talking about convenience we're talking about love [Music] that love will consider helping someone else even when it puts a stretch on you amen couldn't we say when jesus rescued us it put a stretch on him sure amen he wasn't operating based on human love he was operating based on divine love and everything he did was for someone else mark chapter 10 and verse 16. the amplified says and jesus took them the children up one by one in his arms and fervently invoked a blessing placing his hands upon them so notice this ministering to someone else by the spirit that there is a fervency in that that we're to minister fervently not half-heartedly wholeheartedly that it matters to us that we had the opportunity to minister to someone that when you're out and the holy ghost says go over and witness to somebody don't be half-hearted and wishing you weren't doing it amen wishing god wouldn't tell you to do that be fervent in blessing someone else with help amen and then just for time's sake acts chapter 18 and verse 24. it talked about a jew named apollos and it says this man was instructed in the way of the lord and being fervent in spirit he spake and taught diligently the things of the lord so the word is to be ministered in fervency yeah that means you're to be full and hot and boiling over with that and then of course as we read in romans chapter 12 and verse 10 excuse me verse 11. paul was writing he says not slothful in business but fervent in spirit serving the lord and so the lord wants to be served in fervency he wants to be he wants you to be excited to get to church excited to be at your post of where you're getting to serve the family and wishing that you weren't on the calendar again of serving for this month i'm fervent why because i remember what he did for me i know that in that local church my family's been rescued and my life has been put back together and i want to help facilitate that place so that can be done for someone else so the lord wants to be served in fervency amen i like what dake said about this word fervency he said maintain zeal to the boiling point maintain zeal to the boiling point if i say if you're having a hard time disobeying and agreeing with what god has for your life get fervent fervency throws you into full agreement if you're struggling with obeying god stoke the fire amen hallelujah hallelujah are you helped tonight i said are you helped tonight your spiritual temperature's up to you not up to god we're the ones that are supposed to stoke the fire amen and uh you know just shadrach meshach and abednego just had no difficulty facing their opposition they just faced it boldly and they expected everything around them to change and when you get full of the word and the spirit and we live fervent i tell you what difficult things become easy that's right difficult things become easy if something is too difficult we don't have enough fire applied to it very good have you ever seen a little car that has a very small engine and you put it up in those colorado mountains try to get it in that when the altitude is messing with the oxygen level ed had four jeeps world war ii jeeps that he uh he renovated and uh took him up there he was excited and not every one of them shut down why they weren't they didn't have the capacity the the the altitude started messing with i don't know all the stuff but it messed with stuff and stephen had to go and fix stuff right there why a lack of fire like of push behind it and so it was struggling those things and were unusable because they were struggling and so we couldn't do much with them but if you uh get something that has a big engine and put it on those hills somebody just can't wait to take that vehicle up those mountains i mean they want to go off-roading they want to go over the rocks and the boulders and all that why because they know what's fueling them they know the hotness of that engine the size of that engine your fervency is what is what's fueling your spirit amen hallelujah praise the lord fervency matters i said fervency matters because it's an indicator of our spiritual health isn't it hallelujah praise the lord stand with me to your feet if you would praise the lord we just thought it was an adjective fervency is more than an adjective it's a it's a spiritual condition hallelujah praise the lord just reach up your hands and worship the lord praise the lord together father we thank you for your word we thank you that it's a lamp to our feet it's a lot to our path we're so grateful to see these things we're so grateful that you give us the best life and show us how to live it amen we're so so grateful for it we're so so grateful for it hallelujah hallelujah this couple back here on the end sir you've got kind of yeah you your family come up here come up here don't i know you father we thank you grab hands with one another father we thank you for the fullness of your plan that which you have put in their heart we thank you father for reviving it we thank you father for bringing it to completion and i thank you father for unveiling it even in a greater way to them so that they see with greater clarity all that you have equipped them for anointed them for empowered them to accomplish so i say the freshness of the spirit a fresh anointing upon the vision in their heart a fresh anointing upon this family in jesus name we thank you for it father we thank you for it and uh clarity comes you're going to have more more clarity so don't mentally dismiss it by thinking that's that's more than what i thought just agree with it don't try to measure it and figure it out amen hallelujah uh-huh god bless you praise the lord we thank you father we thank you father we thank you father we give you glory and honor we give you glory and honor somebody who's watching this scene and believe me it could be certainly received by someone in the room but it comes to me there's someone who's watching that uh your hip alignment has been off and it's caused great difficulty that's being healed right now so respond to that right where you're at receive that say i take that i take that i take that i receive that and in doing that bend over and do something you couldn't move in a way that might have been a difficulty or a hindrance not to check it but to give action to that anointing you'll remember that there was a man who is at lystra who who'd never walked and uh paul perceived that he had faith to be healed and said jump up on your feet what was he lacking he was lacking the act and so that's why i say when that anointing comes act on it hallelujah father we thank you we thank you somebody has had their um their uh kneecap has been damaged and because of that things have gone out of alignment even around you've had pain all the of course through the whole knee but the back of the knee something has happened there but if it's just damaged that whole kneecap that whole area there is healing for you right now just receive that receive that respond to that act on that get up and move that need do something maybe you know kneel down on that need do something uh that is going to give action to that anointing releasing your faith amen faith is an act and when we have faith we act in line with what we believe that that that power is working in us amen somebody and it could be somebody over live stream or here in the room somebody's had scalp issues ongoing and it's been quite painful and i don't know if there's been just some kind of a skin condition i don't know what it is with the scalp but there's been a great difficulty and it's lingering it's lingering it's gone on for quite a long time but don't get used to it don't get used to it you can receive healing right now amen hallelujah father we thank you jesus you're such a wonderful healer we thank you for your healing power we thank you for your healing power someone's heels have been injured and because of that i don't know if you've had pins or metal plates or something put in your heels but there's healing power working in fact and like i said it seems to me it's it's through live stream but there's uh you can feel heat on that right now that's the anointing working and making that right amen you say well is it burning out all those metal parts i don't know it really doesn't matter just so long as the anointing breaks the yoke amen however god chooses to do it amen pain-free and fully functioning that's what we're interested in pain free fully functioning amen father we thank you someone's pelvis someone's pelvis is being realigned your your pelvis has been uh off i mean if somebody were to see you walk they'd say you walk sideways because the misalignment of the pelvis so that is being corrected right now hallelujah hallelujah we thank you father we thank you father we thank you father somebody up here in the top part of their throat up in here you've had ongoing situations that's being healed right now we thank you father we thank you for that healing power we thank you for that healing power praise the lord praise the lord bear come here baby come here father we thank you that even at this age the divine impartation of the healing anointing of the healing anointing imparted into his spirit that will grow and to be developed and will flow in a mighty degree we thank you for that divine deposit we thank you for that divine deposit that healing anointing that will flow through his life in jesus name thank you baby hallelujah we thank you father we thank you father we praise the lord we thank you jesus we thank you jesus we thank you father we thank you father there's three ministers watching and your ministry is going to have a complete turnaround [Music] the thing that has baffled you up to this point is it's nothing about what you thought it would look like you thought your ministry was in one direction and the direction god is taking you and has for you is in the polar opposite direction and so you look at that and you go i would have never dreamed that i understand that but the blessing is in the direction he tells you to go in so it'll be a great joy to you it will be it will be a likeness to you because you've struggled and tried to make things happen and uh you don't need to try anymore because in his will things flow and you don't have to struggle with them because they're flowing hallelujah praise the lord praise the lord we thank you father let's just worship him we thank you father we thank you father we thank you father hallelujah hallelujah and father i speak divine increase over this congregation divine increase over this congregation not just those that are in the building tonight but those congregation members of ours that are watching by live stream divine increase right there where you're at just receive it i receive divine increase in this best year yet hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah we thank you for it father we thank you for it father praise the lord is there anything else that i need to do any announcements or anything so we will see you congregation down in the park what a fun thing to say right what a fun place to go hallelujah well turn around to somebody before you're dismissed and say this i'm gonna stay hot for god and you can be dismissed god bless [Music] you
