FENDT 939 + HORSCH JOKER SPRING TILLAGE

[Applause] [Music] uh [Music] [Music] all right today is finally the day uh the fent and the joker have been sitting in the shop for the past couple weeks but today the conditions are dry enough we have the people from butler ag who let me demo this piece of equipment are coming out to help me actually learn how to run it and we're going to get this thing in the field before the people get here and we take it out to field i just want to show you just how excited i am to actually be in this today [Music] [Music] so before we get out in the field the technician guys just wanted to make sure that everything was operated and hooked up properly um so if we need to fix anything we can fix it here and not out in the field i grabbed a cup this morning specifically to match my tractor today it's red lure farms with a green straw if you want to get cups like this shop floorfarms.com okay so this is tanner he's our resident fence specialist with butler ag again that's who all this demo is going through a huge thank you to them and tanner for making this all possible right now we are going down the road in the fent and the joker and we have our horse specialist behind us who's going to help us get everything all set up and we'll get out the field and see what this baby can do would like to note that road speed right now 34 miles an hour that's not too shabby got all of our specialists here ready to get this thing opened up this is the field if you guys remember last spring that i first started farming in this field holds a lot of memories for me this is where i filmed that very first video that went viral this is the field that i filmed my very first introduction video in and now this is the field that i get to film my very first tractor demo in so we have it set up so that when i press the go button all three things are after i click it three times my auto steer is going to start my cruise control will go on so that i go up to the speed i want and then my implement will set down not necessarily in that order but that's what the three functions are going to be doing and what do we have our cruise control set on 11 miles an hour 11 miles an hour so the horseshoe is a high speed disc so we're going to be flying i'm that's right the only thing i've done this fast is uh destroy males for seabourn so a little scared but i'm also pretty excited so all i have to do is just press the go button three times let's get going forward first with the joystick so hold the button in click forward yep [Music] drop disc is going down and now we're gonna start speeding up that was so easy [Music] [Music] okay i feel so much more confident being in the driver's seat now that we've had all these experts out behind me i've got like five different pickups behind me and they've spent the past couple hours actually teaching me what this implement is what all these crazy buttons do so if you remember the last video i put out about the fent i tried to pull it out of the shop and frankly just didn't go well but it was because i was very ignorant about all these controls and what any of them do i actually learned how to navigate through all these screens so the horse that we have hooked up here look you just click that oh oh look at that i got all these set up the way i want it here um yeah i i learned so many different things turned out when you have this little button on tms you don't have to do you run this throttle at all the tractor will throttle up completely by itself i turned out turns out all these buttons are programmable so that instead of like turning around putting your implement down turning your autosteer on et cetera et cetera et cetera speeding up you just program all this so you hit one button and it does all of those things in succession for you which i think that's pretty cool so far the only bummer on the tractor is that this built-in phone holder it's too small for my phone luckily i brought this one and this one so we should be good [Music] so [Applause] yeah so with the cdt transmission the engine only revs up to the rpm that it needs to get the job done right nice so super fuel efficient very very fuel efficient i love that we're only at 1200 rpm but we're going almost 11 miles an hour here it's nice whereas usually if i was doing this job in my tractor i probably would have just had the throttle cranked all the way up because i wouldn't know exactly what the rpms i would need to do the job so that's really cool all right we have a really strong south wind so all the dust i'm kicking up is blowing past the window but if you see here it appears that dad has brought out our new disc the kcih1 and the john year tractor so have a little bit of a side-by-side comparison with what the actual field work is being done right now in the same field [Music] my [Music] dad hopped out of the tractor and his disc to just check up on the four-wheeler here i'm assuming things are looking okay okay so get set up back after lunch here [Music] so once i put it in drive i just hit go three times ready and now that lines up my auto steer sets my disc down wait this way it sets my disc down and brings us to 11 miles an hour like like we're going that was it and now we just sit back so the hitting the go button three times we program that for three specific functions all in a row so then at the end of the field when i turn around i just hit end and end and it just reverses those functions i turn around do it again sure pretty awesome right yeah i wish it wasn't so dusty i know i know pretty much so so the vario transmission i was so confused about what that means but it just means so that the transmission is only emitting as much power as the tractor is asking for it and so right now it needs 1500 rpms however if i raise the disc up a little bit you'll immediately see the transmission speed lower oh are you ready oh see now it doesn't use much isn't that awesome so right now this is the horse joker is a finishing disc so right now we're only at about two and a half inches down since we've already discussed this since this has already been disked exactly so we're going at it the field at a 10 degree angle so we're going over ourselves we're really getting a nice disc on the wheel amazing that looks so cool it breaks up all the little chunks breaks up all the chunks and it brings the root balls it knocks all the rest of the dirt off of those and just yeah and so with it being two and a half inches down that's about two inches down is about where the planner is set like for something so it makes the bottom like a nice seam bed and so if you get out here and you dust off the top layer of dirt where it's been you see this nice rich flat seed bed it's not awesome keep it blind or simple exactly so i'm very excited to plant this in the spring and see what so don't mind how windy it is but i honestly cannot say enough good things about this tractor and the implement what a fun day all right okay you go back to your phone somewhere yeah all right i'm gonna i'm gonna drive this home target all right all right [Music] so i'm back in the john deere uh the fence put away and it is awaiting the trailer and truck to come pick it up take it back to butler ag i just wanted to give one last thank you to them today was such an amazing day i loved having it in my shop for so long um and then even the whole day to demo it that was that was really spectacular i really enjoyed that there might have to be a fan on the farm really um so i did want to give them one last big thank you i really appreciated that they were so easy to work with um so now i'm out root slicing and i'll probably be going into the dark a couple passes i'm gonna take this one back just because it is tractor work season everyone and i'm going to figure out a plan with dad real quick one second where i yeah go one more one more over i think two where are you herod uh yeah run through there especially because i arrows uh north so all the stocks are pointing towards you i think it's better to go against the green so it'll be like a paper [Music] [Music] yeah okay back to what i was saying i wanted to give a quick little life update um papa kurt has had his first round of chemo today um and we'll be hearing more about how that went a little bit later on i'll be sure to so i've got 15 credits online right now and i'm going to be continuing doing school and taking online classes through the summer so i'll be taking 12 credits this summer and once those are done i will
