all right go ahead okay today we're going to fall this tree this dead ash tree and I'm going to explain to you how to do the bore cut method you can actually move a tree where you want it with wedges and today we will show you that okay what I like to do is come in from the top first then when I come in to make my notch I can look down the crack that I just cut and see how far I go because those two angles gotta meet and I'll explain that in a minute perfect what that did these two cuts have to meet exact if they don't you have to clean it up the other thing you have to do is I don't know if you knew off but their sights on a chainsaw the straight line and black right here in here and where I want that tree to fall I look down that site and put it there double-check you take your wedge when you're done and you set it in there like that and it will point right to where that tree will fall we've got a pine tree over there we got a car over there we got to get right in the middle and I should be great where I want to be now these ash trees have a tendency to split that's why you use the bore cut method and what I'll do is come over here and we're going to use the hinge has to be ten percent the thickness of the breast height diameter of the tree this is about two feet so I'm going to leave about two point four inches of a hinge okay we'll come over here one thing I forgot to tell you it's very very very important you stay above your notch with the cut the board cut you have to stay above it very important now where my blade came through on the other side we have to check to see if we're the 2.4 inches and I'm a little thicker than that so I'm going to move forward but I want to make sure that I come too far enough back that I can come forward because if I cut too thin I can't put it back damn good and you cut back that you leave about q3 inches in the back grab a sledgehammer drive them in tight they actually act as a jack will lift that tree right up then what we're going to do is cut on the backside from the back to release it and we should be good okay comes the hard part you gotta say timber right where we wanted

Wow I'm not sure if it's him or not, but definitely a strong resemblance. This guy looks a bit shorter though.
