that's my ice cream it's a squishy and i told you to not eat it this is uh this is not ice cream no it's a squishy youtube what's up guys we are turbo toy time my name is andy and this is my son and we do toy videos and today it's not really a toy okay it's more like a fun activity or candy yeah okay yeah it's it is bubble gum factory uh yeah this is like a kit to make your own gum do we have all the ingredients i don't know okay so what we're gonna do we're gonna take this box over the table we're gonna show you guys it get everything out and try to figure out how to make our own gum yes this should be fun are you ready yeah but take the box sir and you guys come along with me and let's get this video started [Music] well what do you know it's the front of the box and a dad's face right behind it that's my beard here's the box it is by scientific explorer we actually got this at a children's museum in another state yeah so i look it up online if this is something that interests you this is bubble gum factory it is drawings of kids making their own double bomb gobble bug that should be called double bomb that's fun to say yeah all right so yeah it has little pictures of kids making their own bubble gum it says make fruity sour or minty gum which one do you want to make that's how i know you're my son boom fruity sounds good i like minty gum but fruity and sour are way more fun i think wow i just rhymed that i want you to do um minty we'll make them all we'll yeah we'll make some it says learn the science behind gum then it has all the ingredients listed it says artillery officially flavored watermelon mint and blueberry gum and since this is food it has the nutrition facts on the side the back of the box is the exact same thing but written in french they made this just so they can ship it to france they can ship it to any english-speaking country in the world um this is very common for companies to do this but it's a bummer we don't get a back of the box i would like to see more pictures i would too but uh it's okay it's it it's just the box the real good stuff is inside um but here's the top there's the side well you know the side and then we got the barcode how much was this this is 25 you don't even see the ball code i know there's a barcode over the barcode okay so yeah it was 25 bucks i dare say if you looked up online you might be able to find a cheaper version of a bubblegum making kit but i absolutely don't mind supporting children museums so i'm not upset we pit 25 for this oh let's get it out we normally donate our stuff but this is definitely not something we're gonna be doing there's the gum it looks like fish it looks like the bottom of a fish tank doesn't it that's gonna be the gum i bet you can we put in jeff jeffrey's tank this is a very straightforward kit all right so dude it's gonna go everywhere be careful all right first thing we've learned from this video is do not attack gum okay don't punch it don't smack it don't high-five it nothing can i do this barely you got three more pokes one two three you did four okay i just want to take a second that here's ryden's nerf fortress that you still have not cleaned up and then who's underneath it cats they're like hey the dog can't fit down here we're pretty psyched bagel looks like he's on like laying on a beach okay so all this stuff really isn't that flashy and colorful and fun but it doesn't matter um this packet says mint flavor this says blueberry flavor citric acid which is used in all gums i know that might sound weird and scary it's not watermelon flavor and then corn syrup i don't know yeah there's no malic acid or fat that's just the sour stuff um and then there's confectioner's sugar whatever that is it looks like powdered sugar that's probably what it is mom just verified that i was correct in that assumption look the the instructions come in a bag i thought there's more stuff little random pieces of paper to make a postcard i don't know oh to make the gum maybe put the gum on you the box was all right but it was it didn't have a lot going on and then this stuff is really plain but that is not going to stop us having a blast making gum right eat it and then taste it and then i mean we might watch pokemon but it's nice outside you should chew your gum outside i heard something my hair's so weird in this it's not like a bird was inside that was terrifying sounding that was like a dinosaur i'm gonna try it again okay oh oh my gosh it was a dinosaur this is a raptor this is a dynaicus now it's a toy how the toy make the noise my dad just edited it you have to spoil it for him did you at least one person out there thought there was a dinosaur in the instructions no dinosaurs included i'm just being a cheesy dad i'm gonna read this and learn how to make some gum that's cheesy there's a bunch of facts in here we're gonna need a tablespoon measurer teaspoon teaspoon a half a teaspoon ask mom for tablespoons and teaspoons and she'll know what i'm talking about containers like with tops on them so i read it up and i know how we're going to do it one you need a microwave safe bowl a teaspoon a half teaspoon and a tablespoon measuring spoon juicy watermelon is going to be the first gum that we make a tablespoon of gum base okay here's our gum base all right now we actually have to leave the play room which we don't usually do in turbo toy time videos we're gonna have to go downstairs and we're gonna need our corn syrup our powdered sugar and our watermelon flavoring are you ready yes let's go to the microwave all right so here's our microwave we're gonna need to cover this up with water okay can i do it go ahead oh all right that should be enough put it in here and you only do 15 to 20 seconds so let's do 18 okay close it type in 18. start will you making gum kid are you dancing do the gum dance bubble gum bubble gum all right so get this out all right now we're gonna have to drain the water out of here okay [Music] and now we need to stir this until it's smooth okay so we're gonna use a butter knife to do this it's not sharp but always be careful with any sort of knife or pointy object right yes so it's not soft at all all right we gotta keep it we gotta do it again it says 15 to 20 seconds and this isn't remotely soft enough i'm gonna feel it you can squish them so what you do is you just put water back over it and microwave it for about five to ten seconds let's try that we did it for 30 more seconds okay i'm gonna use a plastic spoon this time this is what they say let's see if we can get it to well it's definitely squishing better okay mix it up squish it all together ew now that looks like bubblegum yes it does okay so now we gotta add the corn syrup all right so here's our corn stuff we're gonna be very careful with this because it's a sticky mess [Music] it's just stuck in the spoon oh it's leaking get it out of there and into there i kind of want to keep this oh we're gonna keep it we're gonna waste stuff all right so now we gotta stir that in there okay ooh is it hard yep it can still stick oh there you go just stir it as much as you can if we have to microwave it to soften it up that's fine next up is the watermelon flavor and smell how good that smells it smells so good all right yeah so we're gonna put a little hopefully not spill this everywhere there we go and next we need powdered sugar now we add the cottage cottage right now i don't know with powdered sugar confectioner's powder at the end all right so all our stuff is in there do you have any idea how gross cottage cheese would be in gum now i'm gonna put cottage cheese in your gum next time no now we just stir it okay now we got the mixing done now we're basically gonna use our hands so if you do this make sure you wash your hands because you'll be touching which ultimately goes in your mouth and it's still a little warm we might have to wait you're supposed to let it cool five minutes and i added some powdered sugar which will hopefully make it a little better so basically we need to just cut it up knead it okay not need as in like i need a shirt because it's cold outside but needing it isn't needing with our hands we need food coloring that's what we need you want to go ask mom if we have food coloring yeah any color blue okay i'm gonna cut this in half so now there are two pieces of gum be very careful with food coloring get color stuff okay if you put this on your hair your hair would turn blue yeah i'm just going to put some dots on there and i'm going to knead it in [Music] that is our very first watermelon bubble gum and we're gonna let it cool down and we're not gonna we're gonna eat ours at the same time make this one pink so it's oh you know what i should go wash my hands making them not blue look at this my hands are still blue still pretty blue but i'll really scrub them after this they're about to be really pink let's get some dots this is gonna look so red it looks so red it's gonna be pink yeah yeah yeah yeah my dad kind of looks like he's bleeding it does look a little weird you can do this too here you do it what just flavors but this isn't something we can donate because we've used it so we'll get another kit and donate it yeah and we will keep these and experiment with our own right this is a lot of gum i can't believe that little bit made this much mm-hmm and what it's so delicious dude i'm washing my hands and look this is like the prettiest it's like purple soap this is the prettiest hand washing that's ever happened i'm gonna get you ah look at my hands they're like they are stained so if you get the food coloring make sure you're very careful with it maybe use latex gloves but i thought this was more of like a toy set where they came with instruments and stuff i didn't know they were just giving us the ingredients and letting us go at it i might not have done this as a turbo toy time video if i'd known it wasn't actually a toy set there was no toys at all no not at all this pretty much was just like an informational video on how to how to make gum and we i didn't even follow the directions specifically how they said it i just kind of went at it but it worked out this is delicious and it tastes and feels just like normal gum it is a cool experiment so if you do this make sure you do it with your parents because it can get very messy and then so you're going to look like that if you use food coloring and don't use gloves but uh it is a really fun thing to do with your dad right or mom or brother big brother or sister it's a fun thing you're not talking at all i can't because i have gum i have gum i'm just rudely chomping away and talking all right so i'm gonna go we do videos
