okay today's video is gonna be something i've never done before in fact it wasn't even my idea but it was a good idea and today is going to be part one of a i don't even know how many parts in this series but what's gonna happen is we're going to follow this tractor track this tractor through its restoration process and it's a one-owner tractor uh the guy bought it originally in 1957. that should give you a little hint as to maybe what it is or at least a pile of what it could be and uh yeah you're gonna know the guy that if you've been with the channel more than i don't know a month or so you'll recognize the feller that has it in his possession now and uh let's just go check it out i'm not going to tell you where i'm going or what it is but i am going to say hit subscribe [Music] so well this should give you a pretty good indication where i'm at there's it's a 340 diesel one of only a hundred and i don't know 58 ever made and there it sits right there's down there's where the sail was yep i met warren diesel and i just got to find andy real quick i hear tractor running i'm gonna follow my ears i see a bobcat skid steer all right oh there it is i'm pretty sure that's gonna be it right there let's go down check this thing out there's trouble well here it is and i kept it from you this is a farm all 350. um it was a one owner bought originally and it even has the uh original paint still on it this the original paint smoke wow that looks good you know it's funny when they park these in the barn a lot of times the dust keeps the paint nice but this is a farm all 350 for those of you that aren't real familiar with farm all tractors in general um this was a nice tractor came with uh independent pto about 35 horsepower at the draw bar i think the belt was just a little more than that probably 39 if i had to compare it to a letter series tracker i would say it's right around the m range right in there of course my m in particular is a beast of an m but uh man this this tractor looks even better in person it has a torque amplifier for those of you that don't understand the torque amplifier say you're pulling a load you just start going up a gradient or a hill you pull that torque amplifier back and essentially what it does the best way to put it drops you down a half a gear it amplifies your torque so you can pull better but check this out and uh got the crank start going there and yep all right andy do you want to talk about this tractor a little bit yeah we picked this uh from a local guy he was his father was original owner bought in 1957 and uh the international harvested dealer wo duns and cochran so we want to do a uh restoration project on it take it back to the fellow we bought it from and let him do a little bit of plowing and working the track a little bit we're gonna make a little bit of a story with it how cool is that i mean that guy he has no idea what's going on here but uh and like i said on the way down here i don't know if it's gonna be a three-part series a four or five part series i don't know but uh i do wanna you know at least catch this tractor moving along in its phases of restoration now how far is it gonna go as far as restoration is gonna be entire complete restoration wow wow and uh again you know one owner 1957 these were built in rock island illinois um from 56 to 58 and this is a 57. i mean my word the tracker it doesn't look bad at all it looks like you can take it to the field right now now crank start works on this i'm guessing then okay and then uh looks like you have put some new parts and pieces on this new uh coil on there we'll fire this baby up oh that's turnkey already nice got the hydraulic remotes right here and uh there's your serial number 2077. i believe the 57 started at 10 30. did it run this good when you got it no yeah but it's been undercover i'll do a little walk around here check this bad boy out yep full restore on this got the fast hitch i do have a couple of viewers that aren't really farm all guys but they do have interestingly seems like all you john deere guys back tucked somewhere away in a shed somewhere you've got a farm all or two and it's almost always a 350 or an h uh john stevens i believe you said you have a 350 diesel um oh another thing i want to bring up too is this is a farmall 350. occasionally i have somebody ask me uh what's the difference between a farmall and an international the farmhole 350 is a row crop tractor uh an international 350 is going to be your utility version so so there's your difference um i'm a row crop guy you know because i do row crops but uh yep not the correct rim this is a hub off of something these originally had this one over his original couple would have been what 13 6 38 original double bevel this is what they had this one here is original and they replaced that when they were and uh andy just brought it to my attention it's got about 1800 hours on it there you go looks like you replaced the uh gauges already those are original they're international harvester they all work whenever we work on these tractors i try to keep everything original this is an original international harvested coil has the international logo still on it we put a uh 12 volt uh generator system on it so then we put the electronic ignition in it that way oh yeah man runs so much better pentronics yeah that's what i run in my m um where did you get the coil at the ih coil i ordered it from a uh an old stock international uh fowler one lines that sells them but it is an authentic international coral of course that's the ih distributor yeah yeah this is going to be a tractor no doubt about it did he have the original weights well they have my no kidding man this was definitely a great choice to restore and i know we talked on the phone about it and stuff like that but what do you think in probably october time frame we'll start october and try to just want to try to get it complete front wheel weight [Music] oh those are nice no that's that's internationals uh they were bought from international oh my word and i think their cat too are no kidding here's the original top link no way i'm guessing you're gonna put that back on there oh check this out so you got the adapters from fast hitch to three point they're international i've never seen those before and those come with the tractor he bought the newest tractor unbelievable and where again where did he buy this tractor at uh w dunn international harvester in congress no kidding so right here in cochrane pennsylvania bought it brand new 1957. now if i remember correctly uh the 350 went new about 3 100 back in 58 so yeah i mean got your got your weights right there your slabs i mean everything's here to make this tractor completely cool wow well you ought to know me by now i was most definitely uh gonna take her for a shake steers really easy nice and tight good running tractor um it's had a full tune-up on it since he bought it i'm just putting along them in fourth gear i'd grip it for sure now these originally came with i think 13 6 38 and uh i don't know looks i didn't even check tire size i'm going to guess 15 fives right in that range there's a 504 sitting there oh yeah it's just the right tractor it's got all the amenities to it everything you want i'll have andy take it for a little spin and i'll get him driving it but yeah this is going to be a full resto and then the original owner gets shocked out of his mind but it's brought back to him nice yep narrow fronts man excellent planting tractors turn on our dime and give nine cents back there we go oh yeah yeah i think you could take this to the field now now he was talking about this here have you ever seen one of these and if so can you get parts for it he wants to leave that on there here we go i actually see this thing in action it's field ready now i mean you could you could most definitely take this to the field and plow with it and he's thinking about you know a three bottom plow and i'm not arguing um you know it it's always dependent upon what type of soil you're working whether a 350 will pull a 311 oh that sounds good looks good sounds good is good it never crossed my mind to get a 50 series i always thought oh 450 450 but boy this is a solid machine right here anyways he's just showing me how well this works and stuff it's got the stopper on there yeah everything works great he said the rear end fluid's a little on the dicey side but it's all part of the rebuild you know you go pto engaged [Music] sputtering just a little bit probably fuel timing okay just gonna turn the distributor just minutely yeah it's moved out right there i'll have to bring you some super clean products all right so i was looking at tractor data on the 350 and the nebraska tests they were done in let's just say 58 all right the gasser which is what this is pulled 6400 pounds you know first gear ta the diesel did 6 000 so there you go well as a side note here's an f14 for sale it needs to go to a good home um what all did you say about it andy well the uh the engine block has a crack's been welded but um it's mostly complete the drive line is in good shape the uh the rear rims are in excellent shape they're very nice so very good good builder tractor so there you go f14 come and get it cochran pennsylvania down at warren diesel 500 bucks 500 bucks it's all yours andy was just showing me went to downtown pittsburgh and bought this 340 at auction and apparently downtown wasn't always downtown like most places and uh you know just had a hundred acre farm just sold it off and it just enclosed around him and then but man it's got all the weights and everything on it and uh he says it's got a crack block but yeah that's that's what happened picked it up downtown pittsburgh well i was just gonna highlight the spreader but uh there's something in front of it we may need to talk about real quick i like to stir the pot just a little um i know we got green guys on there you comment quite a bit it's a 30-20 and i'll let andy tell the rest that tin's perfect on it well she's the 30-20 power shift got an original 2 800 90 some hours on it everything works pretty well on it uh we're gonna do a uh a diesel engine swap in it it's a gas job we're gonna do that new uh 30 uh 29 uh four cylinder turbocharged these with a 329 cube yeah so that'll make a nice tractor out of it this gas engine is not that great no no i'm sure it drinks i'm sure it drinks do don't sound bad just looks bad you know it's green she rolling the power shift well there you go and i knew a buddy of mine old buddy of mine had a 30 20 diesel and he used to i can't remember what he used wasn't diesel it's like cooking oil or something it burned in there it's just crazy i think he drove his dad nuts oh you're gonna cause blow by yeah by far this would be a better tractor with a diesel in it first thing you want to do on a power shift is check the uh when you go to buy one is just check your make sure your oil is clean yeah oh has any issues walk away not like goat's milk no okay if we're doing a uh a diesel engine swap with a 239 or the 276 engine we're going to use a 3040 bell adapter that bolts to the back of a 300 series motor it relocates these bolts back to about this area here we'll have to do a set of custom rails and then the uh the pump cradle on the 3040 also has the bolts up here so you just have to do the custom set of rails the bolt up is pretty simple um everything else is pretty much straightforward the oil pan you have to use off of the uh 25 10 or 25 20. well there you go and if you got a john deere 30 20 gas guzzler and you want to get a fuel sipper put in it that's what you got to do all right well there we go i hope you enjoy the series that's about to ensue with this 350. man you know he sent me a picture of it but the picture didn't do it any justice that tractor has mad potential so he's definitely struck my interest in the farm all 350. thanks for watching hit that subscribe button and i'll see you at the next video [Music] you
