hey there and welcome back to baldis Gate 3 my name is Pete and today we complete another chapter in the story of Sylvia haroot our dark urge halfling Bart who we have chosen as the protagonist of this honor mode walkthrough now full disclosure I am still not entirely sure whether or not this is going to be a full series that sees us play through the game all the way to the end but but a sequel to the first video was in hot demand over the last few weeks and since the channel turns 8 years old this week I thought I'd give you a little something to celebrate now last time we left off after Escaping The nautiloid Mind flayer ship we had an absolutely perfect final showdown with the mine flare who captured us as well as with the cambon commander zulk and we actually managed to kill not only commander zulk and that mine flare but also two further cambion reinforcements like I said a perfect start to our completionist adventure now our our tremendous success in that fight has also earned us enough experience points to be able to level up Sylvia haroot so let's take care of that first as we get started here today so a few things happen as we advance through the levels here most importantly our health increases from 10 HP to 17 and unlike in regular DND we do not roll for this it's always a fixed number we also unlock another level one spell slot so we are now up to three so we can cast one extra spell before we have to take a long rest as a b we also earn the Jack of all trades feature allowing us to add half of our proficiency bonus to all ability checks with skills that we are not proficient in at the moment that comes down to a plus one bonus but it will rise in the future song of rest then essentially gives us one extra short rest normally you can only perform two before you have to take a long rest with this B specific action you can take a third one we can also at this point select another spell and that is what we're going to do next here the list has not changed since car creation and we are going with dissonant Whispers a spell that is honestly pretty amazing it deals damage even if the target succeeds its saving throw it opposes disadvantage on attacks and ability checks which is great against enemies that use weapons instead of spells and it also frightens meaning an enemy cannot move you can imagine how annoying that must be for an enemy who would really like to rush in and use the sword at this point we could also replace one of our current spells with another one but we're not going to do that for the time being I like our load out the way it is so here we go then by the way after escaping the noroid we start as if we had taken a long Rest full HP full spell slots and full Bic Inspirations right ahead of us we also have a mangled Fisher but we do not want to interact with them just yet instead we want to walk right past the body towards a person who looks to be much more alive so Shadow heart our temporary companion from the nautiloids seems to have survived too she is also once again holding that artifact of hers and since she seems a bit out of it we might as well reach for it don't worry this has no negative consequences I wouldn't do this if it did but let's not forget that Sylvia harot here does have a bit of a dark side to her what are you doing and of course in perfect Bic fashion we will not be entirely honest with her after all she proved to be extremely useful on the nautiloid so perhaps we can also get her to assist us in the journey that's yet to come I'm alive yes thank you for the concern and speaking of how are we alive well that is a very good question indeed and one that we don't really have an answer to we do play as a b though and that gives us a class specific diog option so let's see when that gets us the Divine tend to keep their interventions close to the chest though I suppose it's not impossible now at this point we could immediately inquire about the next steps but while we are in the process of acquiring potential allies maybe she knows what happened to the GI Lael you might want to reconsider calling her a friend looks like she ran off without us right once again Shadow heart showing her disdain for the ganki that ganki however is in the possession of a very valuable sort so we shouldn't give up on her that quickly you're more concerned for her than she is for you clearly we need to take care of ourselves first things first we need supplies shelter and most of all A Healer we might have escaped but we still have these little monsters in our heads all of those are of course very good points although it might help us to know exactly where we are and perhaps Shadow heart knows a bit more about that than we do no I don't recognize this place but anything's an improvement on where we just came from and that now gets us to the end of this conversation and I suppose it was clear right from the beginning let's take her with us even if it's just to improve our odds at survival we need each other and we both know what's at stake can't think of better company and there we go we have found and I guess re-recruited shadowart the first but certainly not the last companion we meet today one thing just before we go I wanted to thank you again for freeing me it would have been all too easy for you to run right past my pod but you didn't I remember that lead the way so and with that we now once again have a cleric on our side a cleric who is ready to level up as well so let's take care of that before we proceed Shadow heart 2 sees her health increased to 17 hit points and she also gets another level one spell slot in addition she unlocks the cleric specific Channel Divinity at the moment just one charge per short rest and it can be used for one of two different actions the first one this right here turn Undead an ability that essentially makes Undead creatures become frightened of Shadow heart although it also imposes a few much more severe penalties than the frightened condition itself the other action that she can use her Channel Divinity on is invoke duplicity essentially Shadow heart summons an illusion that distracts enemies and as a result those enemies can then be attacked with Advantage at this point we could also freely switch out our list of prepared spells for shadow heart but but we can also do that at any point outside of combat so there is no need to do it now right so one more thing we want to take care of at this point just to improve her a bit further let's give shadow heart a slightly better suit of armor her chain Shir currently gives her an armor class of 13 plus dexterity meanwhile the scale male we looted from one of the cambens gives an AC of 14 plus dexterity improving her total Armor class from 16 to 17 now she does have disadvantage on stealth checks in this armor but we are not planning to do a whole lot of sneaking with her so we can live with that while we are ated let's also quickly give Sylvia a light crossbow just to give her that extra bit of damage the hand crossbow was very much necessary back on the nautiloid but now that we are off the ship and only have one companion for the time being we want to deal as much damage as possible and that brings us to the mangled Fisher who we can now interact with you drink in the pungent corpse since you awoke on the ship your mind mind has been cold and empty but something stirs with your hands close to this body you know nothing of why but you find a half smile flittering across your face so this here an interaction that is unique to the dark urge background and we can actually gain a little something from it if we go with option number three here the intelligence check the other two options are purely for flavor and won't reveal anything about our past the reason we only do this now is that we now have shadowart with us who can use guidance on us in addition to the plus one bonus we get from Jack of all traits this should make a DC of seven somewhat beatable as soon as you delve into your mind it is filled with flashes of a thousand different dead there is something Unown known and unspeakable deep within your heart so a thousand different dead looks to me like we have left a good amount of Carnage in our past and speaking of Carnage that is also what we find ourselves confronted with here on this ravaged Beach a beach that we now want to loot for anything that is not pinned down we will of course not find anything terribly valuable but among other things a healing potion as well as small amounts of gold that will of course come in handy sooner or later and as we loot another mangled Fisher here we also want to briefly talk about camp supplies those will be needed to perform long rests so we want to pick up all the food items we can as we then pick a small batch of mergrass we also unlock our first alchemical recipe I won't go into too much detail about alchemy at this point suffice it to say that yes there is an entire alchemy crafting menu in the game from ingredients like mergrass we will eventually be able to make suspensions from other ingredients we can obtain salts ashes or Essences and all of those can then eventually be combined to create powerful potions elixirs grenades or Coatings all of that is still far in the future though so for the moment let's just keep looting as you can see the nautiloid crash has not just produced a few mangled fishes but also at least one dead intellect devara reason enough to assume that we will eventually find more dead or alive fresh water there must be a s somewh near bu and indeed the Fishers to indicate that that we shouldn't be too far from civilization and we even find the first relic of their culture a book containing a sea shanty feel free to pause if you want to read it yourself we meanwhile keep going and can read the next bit of text right away a perfumed letter sent from Anna to SAI a couple of lovers it seems making plans to run away to balder's gate there is also mention of a location a hill overlooking the old bridge and who knows maybe we'll come across that in our travels too for now we take the letter and if few things too including our first set of Thieves tools these will allow us to pick locks something we will do quite frequently as we move further north across the beach we also locate a waypoint that would be this ancient sigil on the rock wall here these are essentially fast traveling points that you can access by opening the map you can see it here the overgrown ruins Waypoint has been unlocked and if we click on it we are transported there immediately as we then continue to pick up items we also receive the encumbered status essentially meaning that we are carrying too much weight and as you can see this immediately affects our movement speed both in combat and outside of it still we are almost done looting at least for the moment so let's not worry too much about it we'll fix it in just a second instead let's take a closer look at the ancient door right ahead of us we get that open easily maybe there's another entrance so the door is locked but that does not necessarily have to stop us after all we just picked up some thief tools and can therefore now attempt to pick the lock however the DC here is a whooping 20 and failure would destroy the thie stools and even if we were to activate guidance here too we would at best get a plus eight bonus to our role so that's still a greater than 50% chance to fail it don't worry though we will explore what's behind this door eventually perhaps sooner than you might think although for the moment after quickly giving some items to shadowart to get rid of the encumber St as we continue our tour and with the North blocked we head into a roughly Western Direction at this point where we are now just about to enter the nautiloid wreckage more of those wretched things and yes indeed we have spotted more intellect of ours these two however are still alive thankfully though they have not attacked us immediately instead they have scattered deeper into the nautiloid wreckage and one of them has actually come to a stop right next to a very familiar looking nautiloid tank so we might want to keep that in mind with the last corpse then looted it is time to prepare care for the inevitable fight that we are about to get into let's cast long Strider both on syvia as well as on Shadow Heart Like I said in the last video there is no reason not to have this active at all times however before we start combat you may be able to see that we have this Rocky overpass here and we can actually jump up on top of it so let's do exactly that because at the end of it we can find some sweet sweet loot not to mention that revealing this hidden stash also earns US 10 experience points the most notable item that then the elixir of fire resistance could be useful if we run into some fire-based creatures after making our way back down then we want to enter stealth mode so hiding with both of our characters and we want to head towards this slightly charred patch of Amber over here as you can see the intellect of AR us are still far enough away not to spot us still at this point we are activating turn-based mode and we want to use Shadow Hearts and Sylvia's bonus actions to dip our crossbows and fire afterwards we then use the movement to send them both as as far up onto The High Ground on the right side as possible and we are doing this in turn-based mode just to ensure that the fire lasts until we actually attack at this point then we can end our turn once again even with Shadow heart's stealth disadvantage we are not spotted she would only have to roll for that if we were inside that red detection radius one thing we do notice though is that we're not actually dealing with only two intellect Dev hours there is a third one in the back still with careful planning and just a little bit of luck it is possible to finish this fight without taking a single point of damage and so let's begin by sending Sylvia up to take a 99cent at the closest enemy we get an aim bonus from The High Ground as well as advantage on the roll because we're hidden stay back okay 13 points of damage and because we attacked from stealth our enemies are now surprised let's follow things up by blowing up the nautiloid tank with Shadow heart and with the explosion causing over 20 points of damage that's an instant kill at this point Shadow heart has also now aici join the initiative attacking from stealth can be a bit finicky in that regard either way we can now safely end our turns and our enemies will not get to do anything that's the beauty of surprising your enemies you essentially get a free round just to be on the safe side though we want to pull back just a little bit we will likely not be able to Kill All Enemies before they get to act for this turn though they do not get any actions and so let's finish Shadow heart's turn by pulling her back to her action has already been used and with that this first turn of combat will then officially be over over now at this point we are back to Sylvia who should hopefully be able to kill the intellect ofar over here this is the only part of the fight that depends a little bit on your damage output if you get extremely unlucky it can happen that you need more than two or even three shots as you can see though for the time being everything goes according to plan so let's pull back again this will then Force the third intellect ofar to spend its entire turn dashing and indeed this essentially gives us another fre turn and at only 12 hit points this shouldn't be too difficult of a Target and to ensure success we are actually prioritizing damage over hit chance here let's move Shadow hard off of The High Ground and redp her crossbow this reduces her hit chance from 95 to 85% but hopefully that's still good enough and indeed she hits for 11 of the 12 points of damage we need which also means that Sylvia can now simply Take Aim provided she doesn't miss the kill is guaranteed you fight well perhaps our survival isn't such a distant Prospect so with the area cleared and a few more experience points collected we can now begin looting the place as you can see the intellect of Aras do as usual not have a whole lot of loot for us one of them however does hold an intellect ofar cerebellum which can be used as an ingredient to craft potions and Alchemy very importantly then near the top we have a dead mind flare who drops a potion of speed and as far as I'm aware this is a guaranteed drop unlike the one we luckily had back on the nautiloid itself over on the left side then we have a chest with an oil of accuracy a plus two bonus to attack rolls for 10 turns that could be handy and we also have another dead mind flare this one dropping a healing potion now at this point we have two Pathways out of the wreckage one to the north and one in a slightly more Northeastern Direction and we are heading north down to the beach again near the collapsed wooden Ridge here we can find some mergrass and then we also have two crates with thieves tools and a hand drum and those thieves tools will come in handy as the wooden trunk over here is currently locked but it won't be too difficult to get it open we already get a plus four bonus on the roll and the DC is only five so we technically don't even need guidance still it's a can trip so it's free and we want to get into the habit of using it all the time we also need to have some thieves Tools in our inventory to actually make this roll as long as we don't fail it though we can use that one set as often as we like and there we go the trunk opens up which gives us some gold and a leather helmet with a plus one bonus on dexterity saving throws could be useful for someone who often finds themselves in the thick of it but for the moment we will just hold on to it after looting Another Empty intellect of our corpse we then head up The Path and towards what looks to be another mind flare part and this one also has someone standing close to it please please come and help me hurry I've got one of those brain things cornered there in the grass you can kill it can't you like you kill the others and well I don't suppose you have to tell a dark urge character twice to kill something so let's help the poor fellow out after all we do have some experience there can you see it [Music] not a sound not if you want to keep that darling neck of yours and you keep your distance no need for this to get messy I need her alive Stow that blade or I'll show you just how messy things can get promises promises but I have other business I'm afraid now I saw you on the ship didn't I not okay so after failing the perception check earlier we now find ourselves in a bit of a tricky situation and at least for the moment it might be smart to play along and not make it worse by attacking him Splendid and now you're going to tell me exactly what you and those tentacled did me now as you know and can also see right here we don't really have a good answer to that and so it also doesn't really matter which of the four dialog options we pick still it might be a good idea to reveal as little as possible which to me rules out options one and two so let's go with number three don't play dumb you little duh your mind twists you're looking out of unfamiliar eyes prowling dark busy streets you try to hold the memory but it fades to the worm the light the fear what was that what's going on okay so of course we are already familiar with the mindful as tadpole connecting us to others who have been infected and once again we could now use this brief distraction to attempt and break free but I have a feeling that at this point honesty would get us a bit further you're not one of them they took you just the same as me and to think I was ready to decorate the ground with your inits apologies okay looks like we diffused that situation and we can also get some approval from shadowart by selecting one of the first two dialog options here and for a dark urge character number two feels a bit more fitting so let's go with that one a kindred spirit my name's aarian I was in Boulder's Gate when those beasts snatched me and well let's not go all in with our life story here but we might as well introduce ourselves looks like Aion here could be a useful person to have around a pleasure so do you know anything about these worms and unfortunately we do and considering what we know I think it's only fair to share that knowledge turn us into of course it'll turn me into a monster what else did I expect although it hasn't happened yet if we can find an expert someone that can control these things there might still be time so the notion of controlling the parasite definitely a bit unusual because at least so far everyone we've met was very keen on getting rid of them well yes of course but first things first right so at this point we once again have a choice to make do we want to recruit aaran into our party or not and I would say that's an easy choice to make he definitely seems like he would fit right in you know I was ready to go this alone but maybe sticking with the herd isn't such a bad idea and you seem like a useful person to know all right I accept lead on as he joins your side your mind dances with thoughts of a perfect pretty corpse so we haven't found Lazelle yet but we have recruited aarion a high elf Rogue who specializes in all things stealthy and sneaky as a rogue he also has access to the very use ful sneak attack feature allowing him to deal extra damage whenever he attacks with Advantage his skills then very much prototypical for a rogue aarion is extremely good at sneaking stealing and talking his way out of a tight situation and he will become even better as we are now going to level him up to level two now there is not a whole lot he gains here so this should be quick his health increases to 17 HP just like it did with Sylvia and shadowart and aarion gains the cunning action feature allowing him to dash hide or disengage as a bonus action normally all of these would consume an action in terms of load out then we want to maximize aerion's sneak attack potential that means we're giving him two short sords using his bonus action he can then use the one in his off hand to make a second attack potentially dealing up to 15 points of damage in a single round and that's not featuring in the sneak attack damage bonus that would be an extra D6 on top of that as with all characters we are also giving him a light crossbow just for that extra bit of damage on ranged attacks too and at this point we want to get going again and we do so by casting speak with animals as a ritual on Sylvia after all the creature that aarion used to lure Us in was not an intellect devour but just a simple bore a boar that we now have the ability to talk with a away okay scared bore indeed but let's calm it down this will earn us a bit of approval from shadowart and possibly from the bo itself you old the same too many of my kind died because of your Spears but not me okay and so the ball vanishes the alternative solution here would have been to sneak up on it and kill it that would have earned us three experience points and 14 camp supplies from the meat but supplies are abundantly available approval meanwhile is not now at this point as we head back towards the path we can spot a curious cave over in the distance and with just a few jumps we can actually easily get ourselves over there so let's wait through the water here and see what we can find Gres in the mud around that rock and indeed after succeeding with a dc10 nature check the rock here catches our attention unfortunately both Sylvia and estan are just too weak to move it but Shadow heart has a strength score of 13 and that's enough to move it out of the way right below the rock we can find an ornate chest with a good amount of stuff in it including two more potions of speed and some documents from the Harpers a faction that is deeply rooted within the Forgotten Realms the setting where this campaign takes place in and they are very much the good guys focused on protecting the peace and the poor and of particular interest is the map here which mentions an area called the moonrise towers as well as a Harper cache somewhere in the vicinity so that might be worth checking out for the time being we are taking the contents of this cach right here probably not the honorable thing to do but well who's to say that we are now at this point let's quickly cast a long Strider on estaran 2 and then we can continue along our path with just a few jumps getting back up is easily done and while there is another descent into the nautiloid wreckage right next to aeran part we will actually walk past it and we will instead take the one that's located a bit further back there a mind player and it's hurt that thing's bound to be dangerous even if injured best be careful you approach the dying monster this is the thing that abducted you you could end its life here and now if only you didn't feel compassion compassion now as counterintuitive as it might seem we are going to give into the emotion here simply because I want to talk about a very important thing that can happen as a result of it the poor creature is on the brink of death but there's still time you'd give your life to save it to nurse it back to health but then the feeling slips the creature's mind seems to focus elsewhere now at this point we can pass an intelligence check to further pry into the mindful aer's mind however doing so also puts us at extreme risk of the Mind flare taking control of our brain to to avoid that we would need to pass a wisdom safe a little later and even with a low DC and all our bonuses there is still a chance to fail that and failure in this case would mean game over so let's not risk it and instead Break Free right here now this is honor mode after all the monster lies exhausted defeated its eyes wet orange pearls radiate malice very importantly at this point we want to actively kill the mind flyer instead of just letting it die and not just because that's the only way to obtain some experience points from this interaction monster death is too good for it and yes indeed not only have we earned some XP for killing it we have also earned our first inspiration Inspirations are given for performing certain actions that are very in line with a character's background in our case the dark urge character has the haunted one background and so Sylvia really appreciates some calculated cruelty here and there Inspirations not only give some extra experience points but can also be spent to reroll Ability checks although we cannot collect an infinite number of inspiration points at most we can stock PA four of these now moving on the Mind flare does not have any particularly interesting loot for us so we can exit the nautiloid wreckage again in a Northeastern Direction and here we have some steps leading to the left but we want to continue to our right towards the corpses of a few dead goblins dead goblins over there worth checking for supplies maybe and indeed we will loot their bodies thoroughly all of them carry some weapons that might be of use and the last one over here also has a supply pack worth 40 camp supplies a very important find continuing down the path we then have a rather strange sigil ahead of us this one definitely looking a little different from the Waypoint we discovered earlier but before we check it out let's head back into the wreckage one last time to loot the body of one last dead mind flare just a spiked bulb so nothing extraordinary but at this point we have explored the entire wreckage and all that's in it you can see this here the area that we fought in previously and over on the other side of the room with the mine flare that we put an end to so let us now continue towards that sigil and find out exactly what we are dealing with don't waste the step what's going on with that room looks unstable somehow you approach the sigil on the stone magic Glitters and swirls from it erratically as if malfunctioning it looks slightly dangerous and well slightly dangerous is exactly how we like it and since the alternative here is to Simply leave the choice to touch it is an easy one a hand anyone okay so it looks like we've got someone halfway stuck in the sigil and as a dark urge we have a unique dialog option at the top here that we absolutely do not want to take as fantasy and reality in this case are a little closer than it might seem instead let's simply ask who we are dealing with after all this might just be another elaborate trap just your average traveler stuck between Realms pull me out we'll get properly introduced and just to make absolutely sure that this is not some sort of Illusion let's slap the hand after everything that happened with a Starion you can never be too careful ow perhaps I should have clarified helping and anyone okay it looks like our options at this point are to just leave or help out and so let's assist and of course we're doing so with the Charisma option a DC of seven is almost impossible for us to fail with a bonus of at least five and indeed we succeed whatever you're doing is working wonders now a quick little pull should do the trick hello I'm Gale of Water Deep apologies I'm usually better at this and since he seems quite all right let's te Gale a little bit to get us started just to establish who's the one with the silver tongue here that magic say but I know you don't I in a manner of speaking you were on the nor loid as well once again then it might be a good idea not to reveal too much too early and so we are simply answering his question with another who knows just how powerful his magic really is I don't know what transpired exactly but the ship broke into pieces and I suddenly found myself in freefall so I was plummeting in to certain death I spied a glimmer quite near where I estimated my body to impact with less than Savory propulsion recognizing this glimmer to be magical in nature I reached out to it with a weaving of words and found myself on the other side as it were how about you how did you survive the fall well I wish we had a simple answer to that but alas we do not so I suppose we're not giving much away by being honest in this case fair enough but even so I have the unfortunate suspicion your survival is still very much in Jeopardy back on the ship you too were on the receiving end of a rather unwelcome inser in the ocular region were you not and indeed there is hardly any way to phrase that any better no use sugar coating it is there the inserty we speak of this parasite are you aware that after a period of excruciating dation it will turn us into mind flares it's a process known as seram morphosis and let me assure you it is to be avoided you don't happen to be a cleric by any chance do you a Doctor Surgeon uncannily adroit with a knitting needle you seem to know enough about our condition to realize it's beyond most cleric's skills most no doubt but I find myself hoping to be in the presence of the few you don't happen to be one of them and we do have a class specific answer available here that we are also going to select since BS do in fact have access to a few minor healing spells but unfortunately that will most likely not be enough as we've established few enough can it's not exactly a common Affliction we're most certainly going to need a Healer and soon too how about we lend each other a helping hand once more and look for a Healer together and who would we be to say no to the help of a well perhaps a bit clumsy Mage but I'm sure Gail has other qualities that we will learn about very very soon most excellent a parasite shared is a parasite hared or something to that effect Oh but before you think you're about to embark on a journey with most ill-mannered a man thank you for pulling me out of that stone was an act of foresighted kindness I assure you for I have the feeling ample opportunities will present themselves for me to return the favor so then still no sign of lelle but our party now has four members with the addition of gaale the human wizard as such he excels at all things intelligence and is a fantastic spellcaster but definitely a bit squishy with an armor class of 11 and only eight hit points skill-wise he is the prototypical wizard with Proficiency in Arana history and investigation so whenever a situation calls for these we might want to call upon Gail but for the moment at least let's begin by advancing him to level two as well now apart from the usual HP increase Wizards also get to select their subass at level two most other classes do so at three by default Gale becomes an evocation wizard but we have full control over that choice and can change it if we want to evocation is essentially your destruction magic the kind that deals direct damage instead of controlling the battlefield or manipulating others and it is also the one we are still in with as it is in fact a very powerful subass the benefits of this class are a reduced cost for learning evocation spells from Scrolls and squat immunity from Friendly Fire something we will most likely learn to cherish once we get access to things like Fireball in addition Gail also receives another spell slot and he can learn two additional Spells at this point so let's choose some as always I will not go over the entire list here as you can see wizards have plenty of options but we are going with two that are almost always useful chromatic orb and magic Missile chromatic orb is a versatile spell with the unique feature that we can choose which type of damage is dealt very useful against enemies with certain resistances of vulnerabilities magic Missile then is something that every wizard should have a spell that requires no attack roll or saving throw and instead always hits albeit only for a moderate amount of damage now to make sure that we can actually use those spells let's put them into Gail's list of prepared spells and we're going to get rid of grease and sleep for the time being not that they don't have the uses but in the early game most enemies can be dealt with by just hitting them hard enough and that's what these two spells are great at in addition Gale retains Thunder Wave witch Bol and Mage Armor we'll talk more about those once we need to use them for now we'll continue as usual let's slap long Strider on Gale 2 and continue along the path and towards the bushes over on the right here a bit further down we find some alchemy ingredients and a a bit further down from that we come across the exterior of an overgrown ruin now this is in fact the same place where we stood in front of that locked door a while ago with shadowart and we are still not going to explore it just yet instead we are heading back the way we came and take the fork in the path towards the north broken must have been here a while and indeed it is not the only broken trap we come across in this area Another Broken trap who made these things well that is a very good question one that we might get an answer to from the people standing right ahead of us two t Lings with a very familiar looking prisoner you think it's dangerous of course it's dangerous one of them cved abor's whole Squad so let's leave it and let the Goblins have it no we take it to the Grove okay so looks like we have finally found lelle complete with the sword we took from Commander zul last time albe it in a somewhat precarious situation quite ironic for someone who prides herself on strength and not needing the help of others either way let's approach and see if we can't resolve this zoru was right yellow as a toad and twice as ugly the thing's dangerous leave it for the Goblins to kill and if it escapes how will you oh a guest your skull pounds in response to the prison as white hot stare her lips don't move yet you hear her voice get rid of them now before we talk to the teelings let's use the connection we have with Lazelle to tease her a bit after all we have found some much friendlier folks in the meantime your words flow to her though you never speak them aloud I know what grows inside you and I know of a cure remember how Keen she was to leave me to die in the nautiloid we can't trust her right so at this point it is very important that we select the first deception option here we do not want to fight and we also do not want to scare the tlinks away since deception is our bread and butter we have very good odds of succeeding and indeed we do she's right let's go we need to check out that blast and this is why we wanted to go with that first option as we can now ask about that blast you didn't hear it shook our camp good so we came for a look and just like that we learn about a nearby Camp perhaps a good place to start looking for a cure if we can get some more information out of these two luckily the DECA here is so low that success is guaranteed Northwest look for NTI whatever your wound she can mend it and be careful there are goblin traps everywhere n Messa come enough gawking get me down and just because we can and because the rest of our Squad will absolutely love it let's demand that laelle says please never observe and listen you'll hear goblins before you see them as you say all right now at this point the two tlinks are leaving the alternative would have been to fight them which would have gotten us some generic Loot and XP but not the information about the camp technically we could still attack them at this point but that feels a bit cheesy so instead let's use our crossbow here to shoot down Lazelle and free her from a trap the tadpole hasn't yet scrambled all your senses auspicious but the longer we wait the more it consumes my people possess the cure for this infection I must find a crash you will join me care she obviously sees your kindness as weakness don't let her take advantage and speaking of kindness let's ask for a simple thank you after all we could have also just left her to the tlinks you may as well suggest a wyver bow to worms The Cure I offer will suffice as thanks and for that cure we apparently need to find a crash let's learn a bit more about what exactly that is it is many things a hatchery a training grounds a shelter ganki protocol is clear when infected with a gay TPO we must report to austel for purification okay lasel as usual not overly talkative but we have some experience with her as a companion not to mention that she seems to have a plan about how to proceed so it's probably for the best if we travel together you're full up dismiss someone first and indeed our party is limited to four people and so just to rub it in we're going to dismiss Shadow heart the two of them do not seem to get along at all so it's probably better if they don't get in each other's way I suppose this affords me a little alone time until later then ready for battle you have made an ally from cres cier few know such Fortune call me laelle come the horned ones mentioned a camp one there this zoru has seen giang thany a crash must be near we will ask this zoru where he has seen my kin okay so we now have a location to go to and LEL finally back in our Squat and she too is now ready to level up so let's take care of that right away as a fighter level two is fairly quickly dealt with lal's HP increased to 20 and she unlocks action surge a once per rest ability that gives her an extra action allowing her to potentially attack twice in one round and that action surge ability could be useful as Lazelle is also still wielding the everburn blade we stole from commander zul on the nautiloid by far the most powerful weapon we have at this point her load out requires no further changes and curiously she also still benefits from the long Strider we cast upon her back on the nautiloid hinting at the fact that she did not fall unconscious the way that Sylvia or shadow heart did either way for now presented with two options we will follow the path towards the west but not for too long we just want to loop around until we get back to the nautiloid wreck and another broken trap right next to it here we go and yet another hardly the warmest of welcomes afterwards we head north but again just a few steps until we reach a suspicious dirt Mount we here shouting up ahead it's packed too tight now need a shovel now that's shouting we are going to ignore that for the moment instead let's grab the shovel and begin digging and surprise surprise this reveals a hidden chest with a few pieces of value inside now at this point we are heading back to the place where we found lelle and we continue towards the east again the shouting up ahead will still be there once we return and I think it's better to explore this part of the map first as you can see this gets us back to another section of those overgrown ruins and if we move a little bit closer we can see and hear that we are not alone in here either we act now or someone else will pick that wreck clean and leave us nothing I haven't seen anyone but us it's just Wilderness out here so I think it's clear from this conversation that we are dealing with some lutters we could now approach them and possibly make them leave without a fight but in this case we are actually going to attack and for that that purpose we are going to put everyone in stealth mode with everyone in position we then wait until the woman with the big staff comes down the stairs and then we enter turn-based mode first things first we are going to sneak in with Sylvia and take a shot at the Rope holding the conveniently placed stone block now the two victims here freeze in place because of turn-based mode but the 50 points of damage from the Block were more than enough to kill them both this leaves us with the woman by the stairs and with Warren over here who will now be the target of two short sword swings from aarion and since he attacks from hiding he gets advantage and thus sneak attack okay I will be honest I had not expected that but estaran manages to instantly kill the enemy despite that 22 hit points I believe that's because he rolled Max damage on both the main and the bonus action off hand attack and the sneak attack bonus damage was applied to both this actually prevents us from unlocking another achievement I had planned for those fights but we'll get plenty of opportunities later so let's not worry too much about it as terion is now also the only one who has officially entered initiative Sylvia was too far away and did not directly shoot at anyone so she remains undetected by the only remaining enemy and we are now going to hit that one with a Firebolt from Gale just to can trip there is no need to waste spell slots just yet and the hit chance here is fantastic eight points of damage out of a possible 10 that's just lovely let's see if lelle can already go for the kill with her crossbow okay just seven points of damage from her but like I said Miss harfoot has not yet entered the initiative order so she can shoot again and even though she gets detected immediately she still has a 90% hit [Music] chance and there we go that's the last of these four enemies taken out and we still haven't taken a single point of damage in this video now I can fully understand if you feel like we should have talked to them first but in my opinion listening to their ambient conversation reveals enough to Guess that they are not nice people and in this case their loot is also quite good and while the plan is to resist our dark urge in those key moments I never said that we're going to play as a goody two shoes all the time now speaking of that loot Warren here carried an arrow of acid that we are lucky he did not get to shoot gimal Bach leader of this group had a shovel and a scale mail and the Mage Kena is an interesting case she's got two spell Scrolls Mage Armor and sleep and a book called divination without magic interesting ly enough should she actually get to act in combat she will also only use either the Firebolt cantrip or those two spell Scrolls which combined with the book hints at the fact that she is a particularly untalented wizard as she's not actually capable of casting a single spell herself without the help of a scroll and she's interested in fortune telling through so-called Talis cards which is not exactly an Arcane art either now lther corpse number four has fallen through the hole in the ground left by the falling stone block so after sharing some weight with our companions we can continue by taking a closer look at the Statue over here time and the elements have left the plaque unreadable and we want to keep the statue in mind as we now make our way out to the balcony where a successful survival check reveals in the dirt Mount that we can dig up for some treasure the chest here contains three more Scrolls for three different spells and we can pocket them all and then move on down the path leading past to the ruin as we snatch a balsom flower we also succeed another survival check and reveal what is already the third hidden chest of this video only two more and we unlock the next achievement this one contains a potion of Glorious vating so should we ever need to jump a large distance we might want to drink this but for the moment let's focus our attention on the path ahead as you can see some Vines allow us to climb down and at the end of the path here we have a hatch that might be worth checking checking out so let's climb down along the way we can also find some dagger rout and then find the hatch locked and unfortunately even if we attempt to open it with our Master Lockpick aarion a DC of 20 makes sure that success is far from guaranteed even if we were to activate all available bonuses yes even if we also brought Shadow heart with guidance we would only get at least a plus n on the rooll not bad but not reliable enough at the moment don't worry though we will come back here soon for now though let's climb back up and check out the lutter camp supplies after collecting everything we can also take a close look at what's below the parapet over here maybe you can see it a little better from the other angle but that looks very much like the head of the statue in the courtyard now unfortunately we can't do anything further with that so at this point all that is left is a door ahead of us that will lead us into the building's interior but I think that's a story for another time I also think that we will very likely see more of Sylvia haroot and her band of adventurers soon for today though let's make the cut at this point not every video on this game needs to have the length of a full movie still before we go we actually have some fan arts a welcome surprise and we begin with one of the Channel's regular contributors isak young who submitted this drawing of Sylvia harfoot punching commander zul in his private region to make him drop his flaming sword a second submission was also sent in by corrupted Muse who drew this fantastic rendition of Sylvia which I feel really captures her vibe perfectly not entirely scary but definitely with a bit of an edge to her so thank you to both of you for the lovely artwork and well I hope all of you watching enjoyed this second video of balers gate
