it [Music] i'm gonna have to paint the cupboards before i put the doorknobs on them i think one coat on each one um i really hope this is the last time i have to paint these covers [Music] [Music] let us hope that is the last time i ever need to paint those cupboards because it's killing me [Music] thank you okay [Music] so at the moment i need to tape the insides because we're going to be painting this back wall white and then we're going to be painting these bottom shelves away as well so i'm gonna start taping [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] hmm [Music] [Applause] [Music] while it's drawing do you think i could put the door knobs on [Music] i'm gonna do it then i have an issue these screws are too big for this so i'm gonna have to drill into this and make a bigger hole [Music] that's a nice there are buckets everywhere [Music] uh [Music] aussies cutting all they were to put onto the fire you'll show us how you do it obviously um well i'm just going to pretty much cut these two pieces of wood over there here um if you're probably gonna see you have to be probably over there okay show us how it's done [Music] that was great hey yo i'm hello [Music] [Applause] [Music] okay [Music] the white paint downstairs on the shelves is still drying so whilst that's drying i'm gonna do some cleaning up in the attic [Music] so [Music] [Applause] you're coming over coming that doesn't record well so i like to move the camera loads of vigor in my shoes hi good morning um i don't think i really recorded too much from last evening i think i don't even remember we were doing some things it got quite late so we just kind of finished the day um and went to bed this morning though we have just had breakfast and there's quite a couple things that i want to do today i want to do the second coat of white on the cupboards so they're done and then there was this small um sort of cupboard in the hallway and me and my mum were thinking of what we could do with it and we want to add it to the kitchen but i don't really like the color that's on the top of it so think of what we could do and then at the back of the garden here on the land there are some tiles some white tiles and we were thinking that we could tile the countertop of the cupboard and then sorry there's a fly and then um we can have it in the kitchen and it can be next to the stove so that when we have like a hot pot we can put it onto the tiles so today i would really like to sand that cupboard and get it ready for tiling we don't have the things for it we got to get um like a specific like plaster i don't actually know what it's called we need to get some stuff for that so but first i need to sand that so i want to do that today and i want to paint the cupboards those are the main things otherwise i'll do some other stuff [Music] here goes the second coat foreign i've done all the second layer all along here in there and in there i think these two these two parts might need a third layer i'm crossing my fingers they don't but i think they will um and now i'm gonna go pre-make the dinner so we can have it on the fire so it can cook hi aussie [Music] i just mixed up all the dinner and now it's cooking on the fire [Music] coming along [Music] do [Music] [Music] good morning again um so i camera ran out of battery yesterday so i didn't manage to film a lot of yesterday um so i'll just kind of catch you up on what happened um the little cupboard that's in the hallway i ended up painting there's some geese over there a little cupboard that was in the hallway i ended up sanding the doors as well and painting them the same paint that we have in the kitchen on the cabinets um and my dad ended up finishing the floor and the thing is my dad and my little brother left actually so they're not here now it's just me my mum they've been they've been um me my mom ended up going to the kind of like town to go to the hardware shop and we ended up going to tesco where i got another sd card to get more storage on this camera and we ended up getting some things from the hardware shop uh we ended up getting some like plastering things for the tiling and um some some other things i don't really remember to be honest it's really nice morning very nice morning and i don't really have anything else to say to be honest so i'm probably gonna go brush my teeth and carry on with today [Music] so [Music] so [Music] something it can kind of okay [Music] [Music] [Applause] [Music] that's fun [Music] in case you didn't know what was going on in this room it is getting ready for being painted so i just found this little crate and i'm gonna fill it with a bunch of tiles that aren't broken [Music] we did find that there's an issue though um the little cabinet doesn't fit all of the tiles in perfect shape so we would need to cut some of the tiles but we found out that we don't have um like the tool for or even like that little knife for cutting tiles so i'm probably gonna do some of the cabin cabinet tile some of it and then once we have the knife then i will do the rest of it so i'm doing like half and then half later we're pouring i thought we'd just do that yeah okay what do you mean one of those cups that we just put away that you've had it was on my kitchen counter yep not not painting today that's a shame um [Music] are you enjoying getting back to doing that yeah very much love it oh so the whole thing was upside down and i just flipped it back upright and i put it on a little board just so the rocks don't scratch the white that i just painted and now i'm going to paint that little backboard white as well i don't know if i should paint the wooden part as well something's telling me not to paint the wooden part and just to paint this because then the tiles will go all along the head or the top of it but i don't know if i should paint the wooden part white as well i don't know i'm just going to paint the front white and then if i want to paint the top white later then i can but i'm just going to paint the front and see how i like it um that is how you switch sides on a ladder yeah honestly it doesn't look as bad on camera as it does in real life very very white very white hair i think if you looked inside my nostrils good morning we just brushed our teeth downstairs and it still looks like it snowed in there absolutely everywhere but it's breakfast time now [Music] how's it going good kid all the holes sealed i think whilst you're doing that i'm probably gonna paint the little strips on the cupboard white that little you know i mean you don't know the um above the door you know cupboard doors a little bit white okay i'll probably do that [Music] currently just gonna leave the room as it is and we're gonna go to the like hardware shop i don't even know what you call that a shop where you get building supplies that's where we're going where are we going then all right so you mean what i think so yeah [Music] that took a while [Music] [Music] thing [Music] [Music] [Music] oh we are getting so close to the end result but it's taking forever and i have even more painting to do now i need to paint the rims of that one more time because it needs a second coat and i also need to paint under the kitchen shelves it's not perfect but it's done this hopefully isn't a third time's the charm this is the second time's the charm that now has a white back and here you can see our lovely selection of kitchen utensils good morning um today we're actually leaving um so but we're hoping to paint that room again um you may have been able to guess i haven't been able to tile that cabinet i never got the time to do it unfortunately so i'm hoping to do it the next time i'm here um um for those of you who don't know we don't live here at the moment we just come here for a couple days to work on the house um but we're hoping to move here by like october so we will be living here full-time at some point soon but we're not at the moment but yesterday mum painted that room i attached the backing to the kitchen counter and yesterday was quite a tiring day we were very tired so um i don't know it was quite drowsy but yeah that's all really i hope you're doing well um i'm gonna make myself breakfast now so i hope you have a good breakfast as well depending on what time of the day it is that you're watching this here's how the room currently looks it's still a bit wet over there [Music] do [Music] do [Music] we're about to leave um you may have been able to tell we did not do a second coat in that wall like painting and that is because the ceiling was not fully dry yet so mum just painted the corners of the ceiling or the creases so we're gonna have to finish painting it next time
