[Music] good night good night good night everyone and welcome to the family of god district of 70 adventist churches as we are in our family life we this week we have been focusing on the theme leaving your best life if you are just joining us for the very first time we want to say it's a joy to have you here with us you have missed some wonderful sessions but you are here this evening to be blessed by worship we want to let you know that we started our living our best life series on saturday afternoon as el ledova shared with us in a beautiful presentation and then elder scott and sister scott on sunday night they continued the momentum as we focused on our theme and this evening um when we get closer to that time we will introduce the speaker for this evening session but we want to say thank you so much for joining with us today and we look forward for your fellowship your input and your praises and your testimonies we want for you from now from now to start putting down your testimonies you can even start using the raised hand feature from now in zoom and those online you can share your testimonies online how has god blessed your family so far in 2021 in spite of the challenges we want for you to start using the razon feature and zoom even now so that when the time comes for you to give your testimony you will be will know who is ready and prepared to do so at this time i'm going to be turning over to the sharon's family they will have the opening prayer and then they will lead us in our song service for this evening as we start our program off right with by the working of the holy spirit presents in our lives whether you are on zoom or youtube we are all here to receive a blessing just open up our hearts and allow the holy spirit to lead us yes it's family life week and it's always exciting to hear about our families and ways and means by which we can enhance our family life and live good godly lives so everyone this evening get your pins and your paper should in case we need to be making notes and just ready to receive the blessing that will be done this evening welcome all welcome and have a good evening and at this moment they you'll have a special by the pierce and mighty family all the way from canada have you ever tried to measure just one seam [Music] seeking forgiveness when your heart goes within [Music] our god will not [Music] [Music] just blood covered it all i'm so happy to know that in the midst of the challenges in the means of the circumstances in the midst of the same cursed world jesus blood covered and took care of our challenges it is that time in our service this evening where we come together and we thank god for the many blessings that he has bestowed upon us as his people yes it's not been an easy road this year has not been an easy year but some way somehow we have received the blessings from almighty god and so we we wanted you to indicate a little bit earlier and so if you're on you just want to give god thanks for for something that he has done for your family how he has kept your family we want to hear from you you don't have to belong and we want for you to share your experiences of how god has blessed you during this time we will take the opportunity to take a few persons right at this time as you share your testimony good night everybody good night someone yes pastor i just want to give i am giving god thanks tonight and this is you know a very good platform to be thanking the lord tonight for you know my daughter making that decision after praying for my family for many years my immediate family when she told me it was the best gift that i could have ever had was when she said to me mommy when is the next baptism i am ready to give my to make that walk all the way and i'm just giving thanks tonight and i'm continuing to pray for my husband and i ask you all to help me to pray for him but i tell you it's one of the best gift that i could have ever had was when she said to me i am ready to go all the way and i'm just giving god thanks tonight and praying for all the others on the platform and their family members i know there are others who are praying for family members praying for their children their spouses and i'm just giving thanks tonight and just want to continue to help others to pray for their families amen that is so beautiful sister salman thank you so much for sharing your testimony god is indeed good um anyone else would like to share their little testimony this evening we'll take just about two more at this time good evening everyone again good evening okay i also want to give god thanks for my family um most of them is not here as you most of you should know by now and amid everything indeed we've been blessed and during the pandemic they're in different states and no one was laid off and no one got sick and even out here no one was laid off and all of us were able to still work and even for myself i've changed job just as the pandemic reaches jamaica my first jamaica's first day of the pandemic that's my that was my first day at my new job and it has been an experience and i always say god when it place our lives in god's hand he knows when to move us and where to put us and i just want to say it has been a blessing in the pandemic my new job gave me an increase get flexible hours to do other stuff and i just want to give god thanks for it because um a lot of persons were misplaced and displaced and their families still having challenges but i just want to give thanks every day to god for my family in that we amidst the pandemic and all everyone was still working everyone still okay no one has been sick and he has just been blessing us and that we are not selfish with what he has blessed us with we are willing and always able to share no matter similarities and i'm happy and thankful just for that and just pray that he'll continue to use us to do our best to serve him thank you thank you so much auntie sophie in the midst of a pandemic god is still blessing his people i'm so happy um for your experience and for sharing that with us um this evening we will take one other testimony one other testimony of the goodness of god in spite of the challenges this evening all right for the interest of time everybody what we will do you can type in your your your little testimony what you're thanking god for in the chat on youtube and on zoom um so that we are still able to rejoice with you for the blessings of almighty god in your life but for this time we will just transition into our season of her for the interest of time and so i would like for sister salmon just to prepare herself at this time and she will guide us through our season of fur um as we hear the song into my heart the universe lord of all families deceiving oh god i'm grateful for this opportunity to be on this platform i'm thankful o lord most of all for life i thank you heavenly father tonight for a church family an immediate family extended family father god families are very important to you they are the fabric of society they keep the world together and tonight as we come lord as we celebrate family life we this week oh god we want to give your thanks and praise the lord for families lord it is so important when you are a part of a family but most oh lord we are a part of your family that great big family oh god i want to thank you this team forever fully his present on platforms i want to thank you lord for your blessings lord you have blessed us families in our different ways and tonight oh lord we want to give you thanks i want to give your praise i want to thank you lord for my family and the support and the blessings that you have poured out upon us oh god i want to thank your lord for families tonight that are supporting each other that aren't going through challenges father god there's nothing like when you have a when you have family support means a lot and tonight oh god i want to pray for families that are grieving there are many especially at this time lord i pray that you'll comfort them that you will support them this their time of need i want to know god for broken fleas lord pray tonight that you'll put back together lord this is that when the devil is on top of the families and tonight oh god i want to pray in a special way for each and every o soul present and those who could not be on the platforms tonight oh god i pray for them i pray for the children the youth oh lord their challenge and they are distracted at this time but i pray oh god that you will help us to keep them focus help us as adults oh lord to be family to them and to help their parents oh god to keep them close to you on the right path father god as we come tonight as a church family i want to pray oh god for unity in the church family because where there is unity lord there's trends help us oh lord be united with one cause for so god to support each other the sea calls those who are going through challenges father god as we come this week prayer you remember god remind us each day the importance of being a part of a family many are lonely this evening oh god i pray for them i pray oh god that those who are lonely especially the seniors that we look out for them we'll visit with them we'll support them when we cannot visit our god we'll give them a phone call and i'm sure oh god that will bring some comfort and some support to them father god tonight i put before you all our pastors and their families our elders and their families all our leaders all our families in the family of god district of churches i present them all before you lord tonight many are challenged in different ways many financially emotionally spiritually many are sick of god and they need your touch and tonight oh lord i pray that as we come together as one big family oh god it will be our determination that on that great day when you shall put in your appearance we all will be a part of that great family that will be going home with you these are my asking thanksgiving in jesus holy name amen and amen amen amen amen and amen thank you so much this is a salmon for that wonderful prayer at this time brothers and sisters we have gotten to the point in our program where we will hear a word from god for the families under the theme living our best life the person tasked with the responsibility this evening to share god's word with us is none other than ella winston foresight allah forside serves his god and his church currently as an elder the first elder for the winter's acres seventh day adventist church hello foresight is married to sister sharon foresight and together they have produced two beautiful children jail and janelle i hope i i got it right jail and chanel and together they continue to serve in various areas of the church allah foresight is a teacher by profession but he's also a trained counseling psychologist and offers his services in counseling to central jamaica conference and also serves on the family ministries committee it is such an honor and joy to introduce the man of god to share with god's people this evening and i pray that as he comes and shares what god has laid on his heart for this time that we will give him our undivided attention as god speaks to us through the man of god just before allah foreside comes and shares with us what has been laid on his heart we will have a special song of meditation it should be done by his beautiful wife sister foresight then the next voice that you will hear is that of god's manservant ella foresight good evening everyone [Music] [Applause] [Music] in christ alone will i glory though i could pride myself in battle's war for i've been blessed beyond measure and by his strength alone i'll overcome oh i could stop and count successes like diamonds in my hands but those trophies could not equal to the grace which i stand in christ alone i place my trust and my glory in the power of the cross in every victory let it be sad [Music] my source of strength my source of hope is christ alone [Music] in christ alone do i glory for only by his grace i am breathing for only his tender mercy could reach beyond my weakness to my needs and now i seek no greater honor than just to know him [Music] glory in the power of the cross [Music] my source [Music] and find my glory [Music] my source of strength my source of hope [Music] is my source of stress my source of hope is [Music] amen in christ alone uh pastor scott can you hear me loud and clear i noticed that it was bitching while he was singing can you hear me loud and clear i can hear you loud and clear okay let me hope it is it will not when i'm on and let me say thank you for your kind words of introduction let me say okay wednesday well i could say evening to everyone and for those of us who are joining in from overseas happy wednesday night to you god has been given us in spite of the pandemic we have much to be thankful for each time we have wednesday night and phase and when it comes so testimony time sometimes i really want to give a testimony but sometimes you want to give players an opportunity to bridge and i say when you come wednesday night me you must always come give a testimony because god has been good to us and in spite of the the academy that is uh is going on even now god has still been good it is because of god's goodness why we are able to come together in this fashion uh many of us can realize that there are opportunities again out of the situation because we would have never come together like this if it wasn't for the plan so don't just walk overseas i know that was to other parts of the country who would be able to be together like this on the platform now we have been going into our family life and i don't know who they've passed this team it's a very challenging team living life i want to let us know that i have good news tonight but i also have the point in you the disappointing news i have is really to say to us that even the presentation on sunday nights with all the wonderful tips and turns and advice i still come to the reality realization that in this present world in which we live there is no perfect family if you agree with me type in the church there is no perfect family on earth all of us as a family we are trying our best to make it work husbands and wife are trying their best to make it work children are trying their best to make it work but one thing is certain and this is the good news that we got in the family christ alone yes indeed when we have christ in the family indeed we will find ourselves in a perfect family what do you say church of god go with me to your bibles genesis chapter 2 this is chapter 2 and reading from verses 24 to 25 the word god said therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall give unto his wife and there shall be one flesh and they were both naked the man and his wife were not ashamed bow your heads with me as we pray our gracious god and as we look at your words tonight our team lord says that we are living our best life tonight lord you have sent a word under the caption the family of god and so lord i pray that you will cleanse me of all that is unlike you speak lord and let us hear in jesus name i pray amen all right district of church wonderful name indeed family of god and the history of the church the family of god church in particular not the district now that this church came out of a family life crusade but what most of us fail to understand is that god created a perfect family back then with element eve the narrative continues that the family was broken when the devil steps in god did not leave the family alone genesis chapter 3 genesis chapter 3 verse 15 says and i will put enmity between thee and the woman between the deed and mercy it shall bruise thy head and thou shall lose is he oh god do not leave the family alone i want to let you know that today god is still interested in every family and i thought god's ideal is for all of us to be a part of his family and so many of us as family are struggling and many of us are family how many challenges many of us as family wondering today if it's going to work but i want to let you know that you don't [Music] to become all that discouraged because god has always has a plan for the family there are some of us in our family we might feel as if we're the one who's causing the problem some of us might feel as if we are the black sheep in the family but i want to let you know that even if you're the black sheep in the you are still in good company because isaiah said that all we like sheep on the street we have turned away everyone [Music] to his way the lord had laid on him the iniquity of us all and so god sent jesus for god to love the world that he gave his only begotten name god sent jesus to reconcile us back to the family of god john the forerunner the next day on thus coming unto him and said the old lamb of god which taketh away the sin of the world i want to let you know that there is hope for your family tonight whatever struggles whatever the situation that you're going through there is hope for your family one of the challenges that we have as family that even though we know that it takes love to keep the family together we still need some of the byproduct of love to be the family work and if i may borrow from a subliminal one of my products that we need tonight is forgiveness amen forgiveness i wanna let us know that in the bible it was a family that we would regard as a functional family a family that we probably believe that there was no hope of reconciliation i speak about the family because it was a part of joseph was sold into slavery by his own brothers a matter of fact when they made a plot destroyed joseph he planned to kill him and even when they throw him into the pit they sat down and they had can you imagine brother sitting down and eating while the youngest bear to suffer i want to let you know in this story there runs forgiveness forgiveness of god i want to let you know that this joseph is also a type of christ and this is how he was thrown into a when christ left his glory if you come to planet earth rescue you and i as if he came into a pit it doesn't sound joseph a soul [Music] falling to savory our savior jesus christ piece of silver the eyes of a slave want to let you know this is how joseph was tempted by party for the first wife jesus was tempted of the devil i want to let you know just as how god moved joseph and place him into a position where he could now intercede on the behalf of his people his family even his brothers who seek to destroy his life eyes is seated at the right hand of making intercession for our families even now i know one of the psalmists david declared that one thing have i desired of the lord that will i seek after may fell in the house of the lord all the days of my life be all the beauty of the lord to enquire system mind us but seek ye first the kingdom of god and his righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you talking about living your life as a family we need seek the lord the time it reminds us when we decide to get together and to put a family in place that accept the house except the lord builds the house a labor in vain build it accept the lord keep the city watch man wake it but in vain when god placed adam and eve together even after they would have sinned they were still permitted be fruitful and multiply oh yes there are some of us god has blessed us with children i want to let us know that these children and our own because verse 3 says that lord children are an heritage of the lord and the fruit of the womb is his lord for children you're part of a family but you belong to the lord all of us are connected to the family of god we are going to live our best life when we are in tune with god when we have a relationship with god that is when we are going to live for best lives psalms 128 the time is declared blessed is everyone that feareth the lord that walketh his way many of us we have our families we want to provide for them we want the best opportunities for our children we want to let you know that in all of what we are doing we must always ensure that we seek first the kingdom of god and all is righteousness and all the things that we seek after that which we need the lord shall not save unto us verse two said thou shalt heal in the midst of your family you and joy happiness you must enjoy peace of mind because all it can be whole and man of love father you know that we should be called the children of god it means that we are part of god's family while we establish our families on earth our first family to be a part of god's family we are not a part of god's family any other family that we are part of i'm very sorry to say we are not living our best lives our best life is in jesus christ for those of us who are married for those of us are married listen what verse 3 say husbands my wife shall be the fruitful vine by that by the sides of the house like children like olive plants roundabout diet table children the word of god is that you should a mother and your father you should on your parents that your days may be long on the earth i want to let you know that there's a difference between living long and getting old today i see people are in their early entities it's as if they are all because they have contracted all form of diseases some of them are fancy some of them are their teeth some of them are high blood pressure i'm saying to you when you live your life the way god intended before no disease shall come now you verse 4 behold that thus talk man be blessed that fear at the lord the lord shall that's the other zion thou shalt see the good of jerusalem all the days of my life islam that i was young i know i'm holding i've never seen a righteous forsaken or seed in bread i want to let you know that even in the pandemic even in this difficult time as long as your cursing god you will not suffer because god has always have a way to take care of his own your best life i want to let you know that the bus is still to come verse 5 said the lord as the out of zion and verse 6 said yey thou shalt see thy trans children and peace upon israel it's god's intention for us as a family despite the many challenges that we face despite what is happening in our world today in spite of what men would want to put to us god's people will survive as long as they are as long as we trust him we want to live our best life look at the life of us of joseph he went who saw many struggle but the lord was with him see some of the time we believe that to have a wonderful life it means that we are free from problems we are free of struggle but that is not so even in the midst of the storm jesus is with you as long as the lord is on your side by living your best love life you don't believe me you see a lot of us like to talk about the psalmist when we are afraid at night i want to tell you sir even when trouble comes the world please you must remember the word of the psalmist psalms 23 this is what it says when you're living your best life say you know i walk to the valley the shadow of death all your favor i shall fear no evil why but thou art with me i rod that stuff it shall not comfort me even when locked down even with no movement day and even when people are giving you a hard time at the workplace just like joseph brothers and to destroy him the psalmist says now prepares a table before me in the presence of my emails no anointing is my little oil my cup run it over talking about living your best life it is your best life truly goodness and mercy and follow me all the days of my life talking about being a part of the family of god and i will tell in the house of the lord right i want us to take courage in spite of the challenges that you're going through as a family i don't want you to leave it's hard and discouraged i want you to leave and courage tonight knowing that god is still able to fix the belief knowing that in spite of the the circumstances that you face despite the challenges that you brought to other family despite the upstanding you still can hold on together as a family listen to what joshua says in closing joshua 24 and verse 15 and if it's evil unto you serve the lord choose you still choose you tonight whom he will serve god's will to serve that were on the other side of the land well or on the other side of the flood are of the ammonites of the uprights whose land did well as for me my house so me family we will serve lord tonight may the lord bless you may the lord keep you may the lord shine upon you as you continue as a family all you need to do is make full surrender to the lord let the reality as we too can say like apostle paul the old man of love that the father have given unto us that we should be called the sons of god the children of god and when we should have achieved such then indeed we are living our best life and we can look for a city whose builder and whose maker is god until then be faithful my brothers be fair to my sisters in jesus name amen over to you pastor scott amen [Music] so let the church [Music] to what his plans are [Music]
