hey guys so today I'm doing an art haul and it's a collective haul because I don't normally buy a ton of art stuff all at once so the stuff I'm showing his stuff I've purchased over the last couple months or that I've received so let's get started so we'll start with the first thing that I purchased and it's a ton of coke and I haven't even used these yet because I haven't put them away because I want to fill out my color chart before I put them away with all the rest of my markers and so they started sitting here for a little while but yeah there's a ton of them I'm trying to complete my collection and so the next time I buy kopecks I should be able to complete the collection assuming the website has all colors I need because last time I wrote kopecks I got him from a website called Curry's it's a Canadian website and I ordered every color that they carried that I didn't already have and so I couldn't order from Curry's again so this time I ordered from another Canadian website called above ground art supplies and again I ordered every color that was in stock that they had that I don't already have and some of them were backordered hate when it happens because it says it's in stock and turns out it's not but yeah look at all these I didn't count them I don't remember I don't know how any are black guy I am missing like two or three that were backordered - it's like a look at a whole piece that's so many for one haul like cups so um yeah they're Copic Sketch markers I got them on sale - there was a 20% off sale plus their prices already pretty good curry still has better prices though so let's maybe show the colors for those who are interested you can pause if you need to see if we can get this to focus like I think it's focusing so I have to wiggle it around cuz the glare but that's the first batch of colors next batch I got a lot of Gray's that I didn't previously have plus I got the fluorescent colors cuz those were my but those are the least important ones in my mind like the super dark gray is cuz I feel like they all start to get similar and you can just use black instead of a super dark gray so I knew those would be some of the lessons I get to complete my collection so look at the colors I have this is what my chart currently looks like but I haven't colored in these colors that I just got those are still missing from this chart and so it'll be quite complete I'm getting real close you definitely don't need every Kobuk color but I just want to so that's what I'm trying to push so yes the Copic portion of the hull but I got more markers so since Allah I got some Pro markers people have been asking about these for a long time these were actually sent to me by the caller company which is a company that owns them and so that was very very nice of them and I'm extremely grateful cuz I was gonna buy some anyway to do sort of like a Copic alternative part two but only featuring these markers kind of thing and I will be doing that once I get a chance to test them out I haven't even taken them out of the package again because I was waiting for this haul video so um previously they were known as lettre set Pro markers and Electra set flex markers but they've rebranded to Windsor and Newton so that's Windsor Newton Pro markers and then Windsor Newton brush markers instead of flex markers and so um yeah this one doesn't have any packaging in it but in a later sent me this one which does so that's what the new packaging looks like woot woot so this set is one two three four five six colors there's turquoise lime green sky blue amethyst lipstick red and gold and those are brush markers these are also brush we've got yellow pumpkin red magenta purple violet Welch's threat to say one choice purple cyan royal blue we've got a colorless blender you've got black warm grey five Coco lush green and bright green so I'll open those up in a sec and then for pro markers I got the pastel tones I'm pretty excited about the Exile of pastel colors and it's a great addition to all these vibrant colors so let's open this up and see what it's like I kind of want to buy some additional ones to go with these like maybe some more skin tones maybe some more muted colors and then I'll after I try them out a bit I can do a video about them so here's what the one nib looks like here's what the other one looks like it's there's a chisel nib and then a little bullet nib on the pro markers and then the brush markers as the name suggests that's a brush instead of the little bullet nib and the flat end like flat cap that's the chin one and the bullet cap is where the bullet ended so yeah did I read out these colors I don't think I read off these ones buttercup soft peach pale pink lavender cool aqua and meadow green so that is cool let's open up one of lays so these ones have a brush tip let's look at a bright one like this oh yeah oh yeah let's test these out yep it's a brush marker so I am pretty excited to try coloring some pictures with these like I said I want to buy a few more colors so yeah and let's try my new suck those of the smaller nicks I personally love the brush nib a lot more than bullet nibs so yeah that's cool that is piratey awesome and I'm really excited I know a lot of you have been asking about these markers so I'm finally gonna be able to give them a try and tell you about them so yes I guess I don't really need to snap this back shut but I don't want them to get everywhere how do you do figure out where minused or these and in addition to the markers they sent me a marker pad and it is a pretty big one this is 11 by 14 and it's 20 pound paper so I'm a little apprehensive about the weight of the paper cuz 20 pounds is like thinner than or justice then as computer printer paper so it is very thin it's kind of like the Copic lead proof I've had I guess I haven't tried it but it's a bleep roof marker paper umm I personally don't care if a paper is bleed proof or not that just means it doesn't bleed through the paper the color will show up on the back but it won't like leak onto the page behind it and usually what I found is that thicker paper is better for layering and blending and stuff so I'm curious as to how this will work out so I'll definitely test out this paper and let you know what I think of it so yeah so yeah thank you call art presenting me those supplies cuz I'm super excited to try them out for you guys next item I'll just show real quickly cuz I already did a video about it we don't normally have pencil sharpeners like this here in Canada I've never seen one like this in my life I already did a video on it if you want to know the details but it's the kind of pencil sharpener that has like a stabilizer and feeding mechanism to pull your pencil in I'm pretty excited about that Mitsubishi kh2 1t and I'll leave a link in the video description to my video about this pencil sharpener if you want to know more about it I know in some countries they're super common and people are like why are you excited over that just a pencil sharpener but we don't normally have ones like this here I mean we have crank one is what we don't have the feeding mechanism and stuff so that excited me and I really like it and it sharpens really really well and makes it so your LED is less likely to break so I really like it and you've got your button to switch between pointy or blunt tip pencils so that is that I guess I don't need to put it back in the box anymore I just wanted to show the box for the haul video next up are couple items that were sent to me in my PA box from Olivia so thank you so much she sent me these Moo erasers wait yeah it's like wait is it called Moo I was like it's not written on here yes is really tiny here Moo and here's one that's out of the box that I've used a little bit these are erasers that are supposed to instead of leaving a bunch of little pieces of eraser dust it leaves a bigger chunk of eraser dust so you don't have dust everywhere plus I felt the sting a race or see race really well a lot better than a standard white eraser and so I guess I'll do demonstration I sticker blown piece of paper so we'll see how that goes that bang in the background that's my cat don't do it oh that is so clean Wow Wow and these are the chunks was talking about you get like a whole line of eraser dust instead of a bunch of small pieces so yeah I really like this oh it just I can't get over how well it works like I was citing an idol racers an eraser no it's not that's so clean so clean so I'm pretty excited about these and Thank You Olivia for sending them to me I got to so yeah oh there it says Moo on the end there was they were in like a different packaging initially that I threw out so that's why I was like I swear a fire was called a move eraser yep these are great next item excellent spring this paper backs I'm about to test this out I've not opened this up yet this is a pilot brush pen yeah I can't read the packaging so let's just call it that and I ordered this off Amazon and let's see what it's like this looks a lot like the pen tail brush it's got the same symbol on it whatever that means this is the pen tail brush pen it's got actual brush fibers and then this is my other brush pen which is different it's got like a spongy tip and I saw someone else using this brushes so I wanted to give it a try so yeah and she used it with Copic markers so I'm assuming it's good yeah I'm liking this it's just a different type of brush the tips nice and clean like it comes to an actual nice point compared to some brush pens have like mangled looking this sweetie I just have bad luck of pens but yeah I'm liking this I like it a lot I might have to look into getting a different color too so I think they make more than just black ones so I'm pretty excited about this pilot brush pen and ink Tober is not over yet so I can try it out for something Tober drawings next items they're not that exciting but they have clear bags for my artwork I got more than just these two packs but I don't really need to show all of them these are the two sizes I got these are for my 4x6 prints and then these are for my eight-and-a-half by eleven prints and they're from clear bags CA and I decided that I no longer want to get the ones that have a sticky flap on the end because I feel like it's a little unnecessary plus people when they're taking their prints out sometimes a sticky flap sticks to their artwork and then when you peel it off there's a sticky line on our work you can't get rid of and so this just solves that problem plus I just like it better and your print store more flat and it looks nicer so mm-hmm these are great so next up are some supplies from Dollar Tree and these are for my Friday video which is going to be the cheap art supply challenge and I wanted to purposely get cheap art supplies that came from the dollar store cuz you can find cheap stuff at any art store but I wanted like the cheapest of the cheap the dollar store item so I'll show you what I got so the first thing from the dollar store is this poster board it's rolled up right now but just plain white poster board and I got this because the only paper they had that wasn't a line notebook was this one little sketch pad and the paper was so incredibly thin it was just meant for sketching it was not at all for wet mediums like markers or paints and so I knew that would be disastrous and so I went with this which is a little bit thick and so I can cut it up to the size I want and then draw on that so that's it'll be using for my paper next I got some pencil crayons liquid mark twelve colored pencils non-toxic pre sharpened school quality yeah like elementary school so anyway they're just plain pencils I guess they look like they're not as good as Crayola because Crayola pencils are actually kind of good even though there's like four students as if it's not they're not professional they're so better than stuff like this from the dollar store so I'm curious to see how these guys work and next up I got from markers this is the brand does Steven have a brand it just says washable markers huh anyway twenty washable markers and let's see what they're like that's what the tip looks like yeah oh man the thing with water-based markers is they just eat through your paper like if I color in one spot let's say we're trying to layer blend pieces of paper are starting to flake off that's why like you can get away with cheap pencils for a lot of things but cheap markers like you need to go for the alcohol-based markers that water-based like this so if like this doesn't ruin my drawing we'll see how much mark grande abusing cuz I'm probably gonna do a picture that incorporates a little bit of everything and then if I feel like doing one with just markers I might do that although I prefer to do like a Crayola markers challenge if I was gonna use just markers but I don't know we'll see how this goes so these are awful it's gonna be awful so yes next up I got some watercolor paints just your regular little pan of paints that's taped shut right there's glitter all over my hands okay paint brush included oh I didn't realize that but it's a really crappy when it's got the little plastic bristles like thick plastic bristles I'm probably not gonna use that one so uh-huh and I'm excited to see how these are going I can't really say much about them because I haven't tried them out yet this is just the whole people this Friday you'll find out how these art supplies held up and to go with these I got some brushes I've got this little pack here by the way everything from the dollar store was a dollar 25 and then Canadian dollars and then the paper that I showed at the beginning that was 69 cents mmm I think I'll just leave this in the packaging for now until I do the video but we have three paintbrushes and they honestly don't look that bad so I think these will be much better than the brush shots included in there says excellent for use with acrylics tempers boiled and watercolors artist quality hmm I kind of doubt that but I still think it'll be pretty good so yeah Oh they've got other kinds too they didn't have these at the dollar store got like a fan brush mm cool well we just got like a filbert 21 so we've got a filbert around and a stipler in this set so yeah I'm hoping I can get fine detail with this one because if it's a round brush it might not hold its point once I start actually using it anyway that's painting stuff but then I got some fancier things to go with my dollar store stuff um hey this is a little shredded are these for my cat's did they chew this because there's a hole in it oh they did hey kitties why that's okay I might cut this because I'm gonna use this as a background for my picture so I thought I would glue the piece of paper on to it and so maybe I'll just cut off the sign but that is really pretty really sparkly it was with the scrapbooking stuff and that's where all this glitter is coming from sheesh and speaking of glitter I also got these so it's the same company as these precious glitter paint water-based it's just very glittery and so I thought you can go wrong for a dollar 25 okay and three of these so I got gold and turquoise and pink so I might add some little sparkly accents to my dollar store picture and that is all stuff I got for the cheap art supply challenge now the final item I'm going to be showing is not an art supply but it is an arch item and it is this book I got it for my birthday from my friend Jacob and says the hidden art of Disney's Golden Age did they drew as they pleased they did whatever they wanted basically so as it suggests it's hidden art its art that was not released to the public before well most of it anyway and so let's read the little inside sleeve oh by the way look at this laughs wow that is so cool so this says as the Walt Disney studio entered its first decade and embarked on some of the most ambitious animated films of the time Disney hired a group of concept artists whose sole mission was to explore ideas and inspire their fellow animators these early trailblazers pushed boundaries and art and design inventing new characters novel story ideas and striking visual styles that were often ahead of their time and so it focuses on four people and shows a bunch of old art from Bekins a day loom out a little further in here get out of here paintbrush wanna see you so this is pretty cool cuz it's got a bit of that older touch to it it's different than the modern art books you see out there I mean this is a new book that just came out recently but the artwork is older and it's from the thirties and it's pretty darn neat and there's some really cute designs in here so yeah where's that cute mousie that I showed in my vlog when I first got this out of it there's some pretty cute drawings in here and I haven't had a chance to read very much of it so I'm excited to go through just sit down and read through it and learn some things about some peeps who were around back in the day water making its way up a tree that's funny so folding some cute bears a little froggy so cute mailboxes this is like Goldilocks and the three bears or something there's the porridge so yeah it's pretty cool book and I really like it so thanks Jacob for getting this for me for my first thing I just love my art books our books are the best books so they're a great way to stay inspired and yeah it's us it's just awesome it's just awesome so that is it for my fall art haul um big is enjoyed it I hope it was a good bonus video for this week and I will see you guys in my next video this Friday for the cheap art supply challenge so see you there alright so here is the channel and yeah I'm kind of debating whether or not I should add a teal background to this and that can still add a white stroke around it so that it looks like this but over there or if I should just leave it white because the whites kind of crisp like it looks a little bit off on here
