[Music] [Music] it's another exciting time for bible story and as usual the bible is full of nice wonderful stories they have nice lessons and today we are going to look at a very good story and we are going to look at a wonderful personality a personality of a king and the name of the king is king josh now have you ever wondered where he came from king josh was a son of azir king ahaziah and ahazira was the son of king jehoram and jehoram was the son of king jehoshaphat i will stop there jehoshaphat was a very good king of course his father asa was also very good he loved god being good means he loved god whichever king came to israel or judah and never loved god he was a bad king he never succeeded so what's the secret of success the fear of the lord and so george became king when he was only a little boy at his seventh year he was hardly seven he was just six years old he was going to his seventh year and now he became king and the bible says and he did good according to he walked like his father david now let's go back his great grandfather jehoshaphat was also a very good king and he loved god but things down the line changed because jehoram the son of jehoshaphat was never a good king he was a bad king and his son ahaziah the father of jewish was also the worst one what happened jehoshaphat did one mistake one bad mistake when they were in good times with the with the king of the northern kingdom because that i'm talking of the kings of the southern kingdom that is judah remember israel was divided into two the northern kingdom with ten tribes and the southern kingdom with two tribes now the southern kingdom was known as judah now jehoshaphat although he loved god he started making friendship with the king of the north whose name was ahab and haha maybe i can talk a little bit about ahab arab was a very good king but he never feared god and not fearing god brought his downfall when he was still a young boy and felt that he wanted to marry he thought and thought and said there are no beautiful girls here in israel so and there are no people of my my status so i'll go to another country and he traveled all the way to sydon and at sedon he got a beautiful woman who was a sidonian and she was a princess meaning she was the daughter of the king of sidon unfortunately the sidonians were idol worshippers so this beautiful lady was an idol worshiper and she brought she got married to ahab and then she brought the strange gods in israel and she made aha bow down to those gods and they built shrines they built temples for those gods in fact the priests of those gods were eating in ahab's table you can imagine that was i don't know our god says he's a jealousy god he doesn't want anybody to worship any other god he says don't have any other god apart from him and so he was not happy and jesse bell apart from the the fact that she was beautiful she was lacking something she was taking care of the outside beauty but she never took care of the inside beauty do you know what she did the bible is very clear boys and girls it tells us in the book of first peter 3 verse 3 that do not use outward either to make yourself beautiful such as you do your hair the jewelries you put on the clothes you wear that does not mean that you don't put on clothes does that do not say that you don't look beautiful verse 4 says that instead care for the inner man and that is the most adorable thing that god admires acquire spirit kindness you see that is the beauty that our god wants so don't struggle with the outside so much and forget the inside jezebel for god and so in the northern kingdom there were shipping idols she looked so beautiful and adorable but her life was not good because she never feared god and she made the whole israel to worship idols in their marriage they were blessed to have a beautiful woman a beautiful girl and her name was atalia and so jehoshaphat when jehoshaphat saw italia then they started calling the the parents started calling each other correra have you ever had that name so they started hey and they said why can't our children get married so atalia was married by jehoram by italia coming to judah i can imagine the big wedding they did and the way two people really celebrated to see the new bride but i tell you she came with her gods and her beliefs and that was so bad so even though jehoshaphat was a god-fearing king he made the whole israel to start worshipping idols and she started having their priests their temples and everything and jehoram started working in the ways of jezebel them the queen mother when they continued like that the the father of of jehoram died that is jehoshaphat and and now jehoram became the king and who is the wife of the king [Music] very good the daughter of jezebel atalia her name is atalia so atalia was the prince and she was the queen she started bringing our gods and judah came to its downfall there was no worship of god and for the eight years that jehoram reigned in judah things were haywire then he died he was wounded he was he went to war wooden and for some time he stayed sick until he died his father his son azir came into rulership ahaziya was the worst because he was raised by atalia and she was a bad woman she was like her mother jezebel do you know the spirit of jezebel jezebel let me tell you something jezebel was a woman who would take anything to be her own and she loved herself so so much like one time imagine let me give you a hint one time the king of the north ahab wanted a piece of land from a man and this man's name was come on huh there was this man naboth who had a piece of land and then he told by sent for me and nobody said no this is i can't sell for you it belongs to my ancestor and jezebel was looking at the king like this you mean that you cannot even listen that is something very little you know what this woman did she went and said this one is a he has filmed god and then the soldier was told everybody in israel everybody stoned him and everybody imagined whoa everybody stoned him and oh now both died can you imagine na both died and then jezebel went and told the king king we have the land and they went into that land and built houses and they were comfortable is that right her mind she never fear now unfortunately the husband and everybody must bow down to me the bible says she ruled for six years and those six years were ruthless years those years were bad years it was so bad so much that oh everybody cried because this woman was very bad now jewish continued growing big he became big he could hear words and jehoiada the priests ali hosheba the wife were taking care of josh and josh was that good boy who could listen children when we listen to god's word we grow when we read the bible we grow so joash grew maybe he grew like jesus what the bible tells us in the book of luke in the book of luke 2 verse 52 that jesus grew in stature and wisdom having favor with god and man and so did george grow he grew to be a big boy maybe you let me see our josh josh has grown to be a big boy and josh grew to be a big boy and when he was growing they were teaching him good news about god and so he didn't only grow in body in his mind he chose to follow the statutes of the lord and follow the commandments of god and when joash was now a big boy they decided they will do something jehoiada the priest arranged a coup do you know aku they said now we are going to overtake the government and they arranged it in a way that nobody knew it was a top secret nobody knew about it but only jehoiada and the the soldiers knew so they said which day will we do it they chose on the sabbath you know why that wicked king queen was not going to church on sabbath and so she chose to stay at home on sabbath and so while at home they started the all the soldiers went put the seat there all the soldiers who are on live were told to come back on duty because there was a work for them to do and what they did is they said now they are going to organize all the soldiers so that they take god and if if atalia would come and interfere and whoever will stand on natalya's side he was to be killed so they were told to be on guard then a message you said was said all over and all the people came and joash was prepared to be crowned as king jehoiada the priest got ready to prepare george to be the king by this time joash was almost 7 years old and he got prepared to be crowned as king jehoiada the priest woke up in the morning prepared everything and he was ready to anoint kings anointed our dear son josh to be the king so when jewish was crowned king all israel shouted and they said ah everybody was excited but natalia was in the house maybe she was taking her sauna and enjoying and she had what is that in the house of the lord what are they doing and she came running and she shouted treason treason and disruption soldiers were told whoever will stand on her side will be killed and so as she was moving forward to interfere with the ceremony she was caught hold off and she was taken outside and she was to be killed and that was the end of athalia and for josh he remained faithful because he knew that the fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom as long as jehoiada lived as long as jehoiada lived josh stayed faithful dear boys and girls if we become faithful to god that means our success is sure he wants you george depending on jehoiada he listened to the destroy al god and the asherah and other gods who are that were worshiped jewish made everybody to start reading the scripture and knowing what is the what is in the scripture dear children there is nothing beautiful like reading the bible and if we follow the bible we will be mighty women and men and we will be successful in whatever little thing that we do do you want to be successful at school how the secret is we read the bible and follow what it do not only reading and follow what the bible says and so the king josh read the bible and above everything else josh decided to repair the temple and he made everybody to come and worship god in god's temple now children listen to this whenever josh listened to jehoiada he was successful but one poor thing happened after some time jehoiada died and josh remained alone as a king and jewish didn't go according to what the statutes of the lord that was the beginning of his downfall and the moment he didn't fear god he was not successful and his kingdom started going down every time the kings of israel and judah obeyed god there was prosperity there was plenty of money and people came from other nations to come and ask what do you do what is the secret do you know what children if we will obey god other people will come and ask what do you do in your family and that is why as children if our parents would one day forget to do family worship in our homes let us remind them because there is no any other secret than to sit at the feet of jesus and learn from jesus and so jehoiada when jehoiada died josh forgot about the good god and now they started following their he started following his own way this is what we learned from this story whenever we walk with the lord read the bible pray every day success is very sure and god has good plans for us always as he says in the book of jeremiah he has wonderful plans he has good plans for each and every one of us but when we wander away from the truth then we miss god's promises now it is so beautiful always to read the promises of jesus and speak to them jesus has got good promises he promises us good things and if you know some of them claim them if you are an orphan he says i'm the father of the orphans claim and ask him further what do you want me to do and give me what i'm lacking claim it and he will give you and in the book of matthew chapter 10 verse 18 it says that the angels of the children are always at the face of jesus that means when we pray our prayers go to jesus our angels report and our angels write everything so when someone goes against what you think don't even revenge god is going to do it for you because your life is on his hands and he has the best for you as dear children as we crown this salmon let me tell you there's nothing beautiful like staying in the hands of jesus when we walk with the lord he will always guide us and let his word be the light of our path and you know the psalmist says that i've hidden you a word in your in my heart that i may not sin against you so when we put the word of god in our hearts we will be victorious over sin no temptation will overcome us so let's embrace jesus take it take him in our hearts and always walk with the lord and success will be sure in our lives and when we see our parents or our dear brothers and sisters or our friends going astray let's tell them no the only way is to trust in who only trust and obey jesus and shall we pray our dear lord and loving savior we thank you because of the story of josh thank you jesus because you used jewish in a mighty way we are sorry to hear that josh at some point he forgot about the good statutes and started following his own way and that brought his downfall jesus help us never to forget to walk in your way always to walk in your light and at the end with that we may see you and rejoice in i want to invite the one who is going to offer prayer and this is sister helen let's bow down for the word of prayer god of heaven we want to thank you for being with us this sabbath we are sinners we come before you to forgive us our sins father the devil has scattered our hearts who request you to be with us there is no peace love and unity in our family request you to intervene and take charge of our family as a senior servant pastor elizabeth want to stand before your children and speak be with her give us strength to speak to us use her tilly just named my brand belief the lord is good yeah it's not that cold the lord is good and all the times thank you for finding time to stay a little bit longer so that we can wind up our programs for today let me share a testimony with us and i want to thank the lord that his word comes and never goes back empty it must accomplish the work for which it was sent we have a testimony here that i've been given from the call center the testimony comes from peter nege the life of this family was touched by the preaching during family life they're separated but during this time of evangelistic campaign the wife called that they need to reconcile they will be meeting next week on wednesday to reunite as a family what do you see yeah that man is so tiny because yours is still not yet what do you see we want we wish we would be part of this reconciliation but we want to pray for peter neges family that as they meet to reconcile the lord will establish their family and settle them amen i will ask pastor okindo to come and pray for peter degu's family let us bow our heads wherever we are and lift up this family before christ who is the true reconciler not only between us and god but amongst ourselves oh dear father in the name of jesus christ we as a family present the family of brother negay peter to you this very special moment we have had the testimony of what the holy spirit has done in the wife and in the heart of the husband the devil who acted as a catalyst in this separation in the name of jesus has been defeated we now see the ministry of the holy spirit at work and we can see the result of that ministry thank you for these family life meetings and the messages that we are receiving and thank you for how the spirit of god is translating this into the hearts of your children and so dear father as the first fruit of those that we are many out there that are considering reconciliation we honestly pray that this meeting next week christ himself will be present to make effectual the desire for reconciliation we want to rebuke the powers of darkness in jesus name and we rebuke the powers that led them to separate that they will have no power above them lord in heaven may the spirit of god take charge and may what has been impossible become possible thank you for listening to your prayer to our prayers we have humbled ourselves before you on behalf of this family we cannot love them enough but we know you do do only that which god can do and may the joy they'll be born in that family unite them so permanently until death alone do them part this is our prayer in jesus name amen we want to thank the lord that thus far he has led us we have about eight more presentations to go the first two starting this evening are meant to ground us for the next five new series but these first two are crucial to understand the other five that will be coming you might have listened to this i have to repeat it because they ground us in our next five series the last series which is uh on sabbath will be something to crown it up marriage as a spiritual battlefield and we are saying if we understand it now that we are in warfare [Music] then you need to understand the realm of the spiritual and how things operate there for you to know how to battle in the spiritual realm for you to win in this battle let me begin from there you must understand how things operate in the realm of the spiritual because this institution has two powers that have interest in it god as an interest as the originator the devil also has an interest as one who wants to thwart the plan of god so that institution is purely a spiritual one and all the battles we fight are never physical they are all spiritual the existence of the physical and spiritual realm i know there are people that have refused to accept that there is another realm of the spiritual which exists so they only understand this one that we know the physical realm but it's important you understand there is another realm that exists and that is where we battle it out god exists we believe so the devil also exists holy angels exist fallen angels also exist they are the ones we call demons we cannot see these beings because they are spirit beings unless they choose to masquerade in the physical but if they don't they are invisible beings they exist in the spiritual realm but they can see us and we can see each other like i'm seeing you and you're seeing me because we exist in the physical realm allow me to romans chapter 1 just to enable us understand a concept romans chapter 1 romans 1 we will pull it after the book of acts romans 1 roman 1 romans 1 say this i mean verse 20. for sins the creation of the world his invisible attributes are clearly seen being understood by the things that are made even his eternal power and godhead so that they are without excuse the things that are made what paul is saying the physical scenes that we are able to see are simply a manifestation of that which you cannot see they are manifestation of the invisible so paul is saying if we can look at creation they testified to an existence of a being we cannot see and so no one is without excuse to begin to believe that god does not exist that should deepen your understanding in the existence of the spiritual and the physical realms but i want to say a second thing that these two realms the physical and the spiritual they co-exist [Music] hebrews 1 13 14 say but to which of the angels has he ever said he who god sit at my right hand till i make your enemies your footstool are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation that statement was only said to christ this is how it begins but to it it's a question but to which of the angels has he god ever said sit at my right hand till i make your enemies your footstool he has never said it to any angel it has only been said of christ but for the rest of the angels they are ministering spirits sent to fork to minister to us it clearly tells you if there are angels that minister to us then there is a connection between the physical realm and the spiritual real these two realms co-exist the connection of the visible ellen white says in the book truth about angels page nine paragraph one the connection of the visible with the invisible world the ministration of angels of god and the agency of evil spirits are plainly revealed in the scriptures and inseparably interwoven with human history so we are not asking you to believe it that is how things are these two realms coexist then how do the realms relate that would be the final question we are asking i want you to understand that what you see in the physical is a manifestation of what is in the spiritual let me repeat it what you see in the physical is a manifestation of what you see in the spiritual things are first completed in the realm of the spiritual before they manifest in the realm of the physical so by the time you see it in the physical realm you need to know it was completed already in the realm of the spiritual i'm taking you slowly so that you do not get confused and so you can never detach the physical realm from the spiritual real because the spiritual realm precedes the physical real it must be completed in the spiritual realm before it manifests in the physical realm allow me i'm saying so many realms until you're getting confused the only two physical and spiritual allow me share a narrative in the bible there is a discussion twice in the realm of the spirit between god and saturn and they reach an agreement about job and god permits the devil to torment job and he said only do not touch his soul it's a discussion in the realm of the spirit job is not aware about it actually it's you and i that today read the bible and understand there was this discussion job has never and i think he learned it probably when he resurrects he never knew there was a discussion in the realm of the spiritual about how the devil was to torment his life he never knew we call it dramatic irony when the reader seems to know the story as it unfolds but the characters have no idea and so we see the manifestation of that discussion in the calamities that job went through job loses his health job loses his wealth job loses his children job loses his status job lost his wife and that girl kept on coming there's nothing as sad as when you're sick and your spouse lives i've seen women who have left i know of a man that is confined to the wheelchair today the wife left and said he cannot live with a man who can't provide anything he can't take care of a man who cannot walk she's married today again has two children the man is being taken care of by his mother that was job's wife and i know some of us have walked out of our marriages because a spouse is sick and you have remarried you want one who's healthy walking i tell you oh my father why don't you visit this other one also with the disease no one wishes that they get sick so you can't just pull out of marriage because your husband today is a cabbage on a wheelchair your wife cannot serve you because she has this cancer and then they say a man cannot live like that until when until when till death do us on our part job lost it my question is when we see such things happen to us today we fail to see their connection with the activities in the realm of the spiritual such that when they present in our marriage and family we refuse completely to look at it and handle it from a spiritual perspective job is sick discussion completed in the realm of the spiritual his children dead discussion done in the realm of the spiritual his wife leaves discussion done in the realm of it began in the realm of the spiritual and now it is manifesting in the realm of the physical when you see it begin to manifest understand it did not begin here it began in the realm of the spiritual that is where it all begins so when i see a spouse that is beginning to become promiscuous if you want to fight a physical battle you will lose it it didn't begin that day it's been cooked concocted fermented in the spirit world and now it is manifesting so policy beloved our war is not with flesh and blood our war is with demons we focus on the physical and the fight in the wrong realm the physical we able to look beyond the adult trust and the responsible spouse you can't see beyond all you're seeing is a woman who's a prostitute all you're seeing is a husband who moves around with women you are unable to see beyond it we are unable to see beyond a drinking problem unable to see beyond a wayward child friends the day you learn to see beyond it that will be the day you begin to win all your warfare we focus on what we can see in the physical not knowing that what you're seeing was cooked completed in the spiritual realm that is where it began and so you need to shift your battle from the physical realm and move into the spiritual realm where the real battle is every time you want to focus on the physical you will always lose the battle i can assure you yeah people will move you to fight a physical but and they will tell you connie you cannot ask him you you just look at him and you you don't speak you don't say anything ask him confront him you're fighting a physical warfare and like i told you the other day there is no man that will tell you yes i was with her no one no man you need not ask anyone anything if you want to ask anyone anything ask god our creator talk to him ask him and today i have turned my prayers into challenging god and go challenge god god revolved on that altar and the preacher said whatever god has put together let no man put what asunder now look there is a woman putting asunder my marriage and you're watching that is the person you make noise chances that your husband is under a spell is very high so as you continue to probe you're probing with people who are not in their senses they're being controlled from a cupboard at home they're in a bottle the woman goes shakes him in the butt you're not going anywhere and then they close the bottle so there is another woman that is fighting this battle spiritually but with forces you you have another force spiritually you've refused to consult you want to fight it physically there is someone that has gone to nigeria fighting spirit they also know spiritual warfare they consult with the powers of darkness and they get what they want the child of god cannot believe that there is also another power mighty to save continues to fight it physical you tell why don't we fight this battle spiritual i don't believe in those things today in your marriage 20 years you have been pushed to the wall and you've accepted polygamy because you refuse to fight spiritually every time you focus on the physical you will lose the battle because you're dealing with a spouse you're dealing with a child who's actuated by the powers of darkness they are under the influence of dark forces and you're not armed with the powers of heaven which is the only thing that can deal with the forces of evil i have many friends i'm privileged to be married in kissy land i don't know another land i only know why i'm married so i can't talk about a place i don't know and these friends have never gone home ask them why don't you go home they say they are women that we look at our children and they get sick we see we call it everyday terrible pastor kingdom yes everybody so if they must go if they have to go they must make sure all clothes from monday to friday are red in color they say that when a child is dressed in a red cloth and that woman looks at the child that woman will have a headache so we pack all these red clothes let me tell you the devil is never defeated with the red color no if there is a red color i know that scares him is the blood of jesus christ that one point on your children move to kiss land let's see who touches you let's see who touches you some have never gone they say i can't we will die so they are forever in nairobi they don't even have a house at home we actually get to know when they die because when they die we must take them home there is no house they fear witchcraft at times if they must come home they come in the middle of the night and leave very early in the morning before no one sees them look at how the devil has chained the children of god when we have a power a a name above all names the bible says add his name those in heaven bow down those on earth bow down those under the earth the devil and his army bow down just at his name you continue buying red clothes i see how far you go your victory lies solely in fighting this battle in the spiritual realm that is where you shut down the activities that are being planned and completed in the realm of the spiritual before they manifest in the realm of the physical now when you understand that they are first of all completed here in the realm of the spiritual and then when it's cooked planned everything has been done finished then they begin to play out in the realm of the physical you don't begin your war here this is not where the war began the war began there this is just a manifestation something telling you there there's activity going on there so what you do you shift from here move to where things are being planned here shut them down before they manifest shut it down here don't wait for reading here is where we fight here here when you fight in the physical realm you're only dealing with symptoms not the cause and i'm telling you it will get tough you'll begin to see a witch doctor when it gets tough because you have a feeling that god cannot overcome it and i'm tired when i go to preach in schools and the children come to you they say pastor we want to see you they have a small break just to see the pastor you think they are five the entire school wants to see you and they are crying and they are saying every time i go home my parents take me to a witch doctor every time they close school we are fed up with the parents that don't believe in god and when they come back to school they tell you we cannot even perform we are still sick when the teacher is in class they slip all through morning day evening when they go to the dome to sleep now there's no sleep or they will tell you i can't see the blackboard i can't see the writing on the paper but you keep on taking them to the witch doctor every time they close school what is wrong with you it is sad i've seen women that have i don't know this word in english i don't know probably need to give me a man yes pastor mission bewitched the witch does not does not sound like ranu have you seen a woman that has bewitched the husband this guy earns money takes all the money gives it to the wife because that is what she wants see when he earns i want all his money the fellow brings it home puts it in her hands the woman looks good her children look good but the husband is in tatters goes to work every day on foot nothing to eat mistreated in the house but when it gets to end month picks his salary takes it to the woman let me tell you you have given birth to a son let me remind you you have a son wait until they get they get married now not to any other girl but a girl whose father is the witch doctor you wait so that you feel what your mother-in-law feels she cannot be assisted at home why because all the money is put in the hands of this girl she uses it to develop home all lit and a man has no sin at home you even want her will borrow you will find him seated in the homestead not like a human being looks like maze that has been put to dry you say mokuro i have come you help me with wilbur see now nowadays i don't talk here talk to mama they have no say and you feel you have them wrapped around your fingers and you think that is love and you tell women i have put him down now you have a son i give you a few years you will feel what your mother-in-law feels sad sad you will feel it you will not see a shilling from your son nothing when we fight in the physical realm you're dealing with symptoms not the cause i want you to bear in mind always that marriage and family suffers violence and constant attacks from the arc enemy always understand it as a spiritual battlefield that must be fought spiritually for you to win tomorrow we shall seek to understand how do you get into the realm of the spiritual how do you get into the realm of the spiritual and begin to fight your battles the lord bless us in jesus name heavenly father the weapons you've availed to us to fight are not cannoli their might i wish your children would understand what we have to be able to fight this but no one loses when jehovah leads the battle no one we never lose when the commander of the army of the lord leads the battle i know we have drifted to fight this warfare spiritually but we are using demonic power i pray that you forgive your children forgive us we didn't know and allow us to have a taste of the victory that comes when we lean on the everlasting arms the arms that moved israel from egypt through the red sea through jordan into canaan that same am may your children learn to stand still and see the salvation of the lord holy spirit continue to minister to us according working together we are with us we are joint workers together with the lord i'm privileged to stand here i'm seeing some people you're not seeing we have some men of god who have visited us from far were working with the general conference our dr kindle is in the audience and we just thank god he's sitting here praying for us as we are rejoicing in the lord we now have the time for the questions for those who were here during lunch time here are the questions you should not lose your inheritance we said that during lunchtime true or false that's question number one number two prayer begins by recognizing the blessings of god in your life that is prayer begins with thanksgiving is that true or false number three when you seek the lord he will turn your fears into your blessings did we say god in your life by giving thanks to god is that true or false number three when you seek the lord he will turn your fears into your blessings true or false so this is just testing whether you are listening when we were preaching now i have before me all the prayers that we have received these have been the prayer requests and i want to thank god that i have been given information that 95 of the prayers that have come we have also received the word the communication that they have been answered we are only having five percent inside here so i'm gonna lift the remaining five percent before the lord and we want to ask you that if you are tuning in or viewing us from wherever you are on the face of the globe our god answers prayers it's the same god yesterday today and forever no one loves you like him and it's just longing for you to pray sincerely the prayer of confidence the prayer of faith god will answer it in a manner that is better than your expectations so 95 answered five percent we are lifting before the lord let his will be done shall we pray heavenly father we thank you because of your faithfulness to know that you have answered 95 lord is just amazing and we are asking you our father to answer the remaining ones according to your riches in glory in christ jesus answer according to your will and thank you lord for managing the rain for us we can still hear a little lingering on but i know my father when we begin to proclaim the everlasting gospel that lord you are just in charge of this reign and everybody who needs to hear you will hear you tonight without a hindrance because we have prayed in jesus name amen i just put this down as we turn to scriptures now uh let's see what you're talking about today tonight we are talking about developing the kingdom mindset and for those who are joining us for the first time we are talking about facing life in tough times how do you live your life in such tough times and for the first week that you have been here we have been anchoring you on the knowledge that will lead you to live you know a tree when you see a tree growing and the wind coming and shaking everything and the tree is remaining from where it is standing it's because that tree has sent its root deep down it is those roots that hold the tree it is like the foundation of the building where we are when the building is going up and is remaining standing beloved if you talk to the engineers or if you go to where a new building is being raised up you will notice that the foundation is where they pay their greatest attention they make sure that the building is properly anchored like the trip that sends its roots so deep so that no matter which wind comes the tree remains firm beloved we have said from the word of god that our eternal life john chapter 17 and verse 3 says that eternal life is to know you the living god the true god and also to know jesus christ whom god has sent and so knowledge is the foundation biblical knowledge is the foundation of our faith in christ jesus and how we walk with christ and that's why we have spent the first one week telling you what god has already done for us in christ jesus jesus began his ministry by saying the kingdom of god is here change your mind and believe the gospel the kingdom of god is the reign of god the authority of god god has broken into human society with his kingdom with his power and authority his reign is here and you and i are given the privilege to enter into the kingdom of god and we have also been told from the word of god that we read in colossians chapter 1 verse 12 13 and 14 that god in christ jesus has already by our union with christ god has already tried delivered us from the power of darkness that's why those whom we are praying for inside the prayer room gets delivered i was told yesterday that somebody walked in possessed by demons within a short time of prayer they were delivered we don't like to bring people before us here to parade them and pray for them so that you can see that we have the ministry of deliverance no we don't want to embarrass people who are seeking deliverance we have a place where they are prayed for and they get delivered this is because the kingdom of god has come and he has delivered us from the power of darkness he has translated us into the kingdom of his son whom he loves so as a child of god you are not seeking to enter into the kingdom you are already in the kingdom of god the authority of god is already with you you see when you believe the gospel something happens the bible says in the book of acts that when you believe in the gospel when you repent and you are baptized god also does two things number one he says your sins will be forgiven of you forgiven you and number two you will receive the holy spirit you read the book of acts chapter 2 verse 36 to verse 38 you repent your role is to turn around believe the gospel and god's part believe the gospel be baptized and god's part he forgives you but not only that he gives you the gift of the holy spirit before you are baptized before you come to god the holy spirit is working in your life according to john chapter 16 verse 7 and 8 and 9 the holy spirit comes to convict you of sins to convict you of righteousness to convict you of judgment and when he shows you that beloved there is righteousness that can save you that your own righteousness is not good enough you need the righteousness of christ the bible says that our own good works our own righteousness is like filthy drugs because they are based on selfishness and self-centeredness and self-desires they are not based on the principles of god's kingdom which is agape love and therefore all your personal goodness when god looks at you they are just like filthy rugs but when you receive the righteousness of christ beloved the bible says that god clothes you with the righteousness of christ and god looks at you just as if you had never committed a single sin when the holy spirit brings that conviction to you and you are baptized like the people we baptize today then now he's not talking from outside there is restoration he comes to dwell within you but he is god you are still an individual that god comes to live within you and now because you are in the kingdom of god's grace mark those words the kingdom the reign of god's grace you still need the grace of god to show you how to live the two kingdoms there's a kingdom of grace the reign of grace right now christ is in the most holy place christ is interceding for us you have been bombed you have the spirit of god in you you now learn how to live the kingdom life now in preparation for the kingdom of glory the kingdom of glory will begin when christ removes his robes or as a high priest and puts on his kingly robes right now any sin anyone who looks to jesus right now you call upon the name of the lord right now the bible says that that moment your sins are forgiven because christ is interceding for you as a matter of fact he's saying that if you are a christian first john chapter 2 verse 2 verse 1 says that beloved it is god's will that you should not sin but then if you sin then the bible says don't give up we have an advocate with the father isn't that good news god is saying don't give up because you keep on falling you keep on giving promises but your promises are like ropes of sun god is saying don't give up you are just like a baby who has been born learning how to walk but falling learning not to walk but falling the bible is saying don't give up we have an advocate with the father the enemy can come and tell you give up your christian work you are deceiving yourself you are a dear you are a pretender look you have done it again i've got good news for you beloved god has put christ to be your advocate is your friend he is pleading his blood his righteousness and he is saying hold on stand up and walk again there is power for you that's the kingdom of grace anyone who returns to god anyone who comes back to god like the prodigal son you will be accepted because god is not willing that anyone should perish but rather god wants everybody to repent and to return to the lord now we're not saying that as a child of god just go on and soil yourself god will forgive you no then you're not a child of god because if you are a child of god whenever you commit sin you get frustrated sin frustrates you you never feel good about sin it frustrates you so much that if you don't know what the word of god is saying then you might even give up i feel that i need to read that for you so that you hear it from the word of god rather than me quoting it uh here from the pulpit for you first john chapter two first john and chapter two i wanna read it in your hearing this is one of the best things that you can hear from god first john is towards the end of the bible and i'm reading chapter 2 and it says i am writing this to you my children so that you will not sin you will not sin but if anyone does sin if anyone does sin we have someone who pleads with the father on our behalf jesus christ the righteous one and christ himself himself is the means by which our sins are forgiven and not our sins only but also the sins of everyone that's the biblical position so don't give up but a day is coming when he will remove that robe of the priest and put on the robe of the king and beloved on that day when he passed the sky and comes down for us on that day there will be no room for repentance on that day when you look at his eyes you will run away unless you have already been forgiven of your sins so that's why today we are talking about how do i leave the kingdom life now because this time that we have is a time for preparation for the soon coming of christ beloved we believe that jesus is coming again we believe that jesus rose from the dead broke the tomb is risen he is seated in the heavenly places he is interceding for us and beloved we believe that he is coming again it doesn't take it doesn't matter how long it takes we believe that jesus will come again and put an end to the misery of this present life so the time that we have now beloved it's time for you and i to get ready for the sun coming but one of the things that you need to do is to start living the kingdom life now and in order to do that you need to develop the kingdom mind set you need to start thinking like a child of god and the first thing that you need to know first corinth the second corinthians chapter 5 and verse number 17 has something to tell us about living the kingdom life here is what we read from our second corinthians chapter 5 and verse 17 the bible says anyone who is joined to christ is a new being the old is gone the new has come beloved you need to know that you are now a new being you are not just a new creature but a new being you are a new being because you have received the life of god beloved when you are in christ jesus you have not only received you know forgiveness of sins and that is very good that is true but you have received a new life the very life of god now lives in you god has come to dwell in you the relationship that we have with god is like the tree and the branches jesus says in john chapter 15 that i am the vine you are the branches now when you look at the tree and its branches one thing that you will notice beloved is that the life of the of the tree is the very life of the branch life that comes from the roots the sun that comes from the roots goes through the tree and reaches the branches one life so when jesus is telling us that he is the vine and we are the branches beloved is talking about something very deep he is saying that the moment you are joined to christ the very life of christ the life of god eternal life is beginning to flow through you you and i share the same life with god have you thought about that it's called endless life in other words beloved from the day you gave your life to christ you have already started living eternally you may rest for a while in your grave but the grave will not be able to hold you down because you are living eternally in christ god knows you he knows where you will be resting and when jesus comes i praise god that every grave where child of god is now resting shall burst open and what you now have by faith in christ you will have in reality a day is coming and i praise god for that day when our faith shall turn unto reality and to sight what a day of rejoicing that will be beloved when death is no more but even then beloved even now we have started living eternally in other words beloved eternal life is not just what we are waiting for eternal life is what we are enjoying now because eternal life is the life of god from the very day that you accepted christ beloved you started enjoying life which is not just your own life that is abandoned the very life of god we enjoy it by faith now but when he comes even our own bodies will be changed and will be transformed and we shall be evil as he is this is the hope that keeps us rejoicing in christ jesus the hope that we are remaining with is his coming when he will change our vile bodies if you are wondering whether what i'm saying is scriptural turn with me to the book of philippians chapter 3 and i want to share with you a verse number 20 and 21. i think when i read it you will believe it because we know that this is the constitution of heaven philippians chapter 3 verse number 20 and 21 says that we however are citizens of heaven we are citizens now and then the bible says and we eagerly wait for our savior the lord jesus christ to come from heaven then verse 21 says he will change our weak mortal bodies and make them like his own glorious body using that power by which he is able to bring all things under his rule we are waiting for him to come and change our vile body our weak mortal bodies will be transformed and be like his but even now we have received the spirit of christ and we are able to join to rejoice and be happy no matter what our situation may be you see when we are talking about uh facing life in tough times we are telling you beloved that the foundation of this is first to receive the life of god through faith in christ jesus when you have received the life of god you live the life of abundance is a life of joy it's a life that is indomitable it's a life that you cannot pull down there is no situation that can keep that life down you will rejoice with joy unspeakable as the bible say beloved let me read that also i think it's fair enough to read these things i write it down philippians 4 and it says uh in verse 4 of philippians chapter 4 and verse 5 says may you always be joyful in your union with the lord i say it again rejoice paul's writing says we are rejoicing be joyful in your union with the lord jesus and when he's writing this he is in prison and i had the privilege of walking into the dungeon where paul was chained in rome i had that privilege in my life and i went down there and i prayed lord transform my life because somebody was sitting here and writing the people outside telling them rejoice and again i say rejoice where do you get the capacity to tell the people outside to rejoice beloved that is what jesus promised that is what you receive when the holy spirit comes to dwell in you you are not faking it you are not generating the joy of the lord kingdom living beloved is based on what you are constantly receiving from above you are constantly connected to god through faith in christ you cannot live apart from him and so as long as you remain connected to jesus christ through your faith in him by the abiding word of god in you he says in john chapter 15 verse 7 and abide in me and let my words abide in you that means dwell in me stay in me remain in me remain united to me through faith in him in his word and as long as you do that the life of god flows into you and that life of god through the holy spirit is life of abundance kingdom life beloved is abundant living is living peace it's a life of peace beloved peace that passes the times in life when what a brother who was struck by stroke ended up dark to face life you need to know the truth that there is power that comes from outside there is another life the life of god flowing through you and you are just expressing it it is a life of joy unspeakable this is available to you as a gift from god you don't have to struggle it's a gift from god you just need to ask for it and god will grant it to you but for this life to operate in you from the book of ephesians chapter 2 verse 22 uh up to 24 the bible says now that you are a new creation in god in christ you need to put off certain things and having been reconciled reconciled with god you need to put on certain things put off your old lifestyle you cannot sustain it in the new life you must let it go the bible says in romans chapter 12 today i'm reading the good news bible good news bible has very little vocabulary i like it because it is so simple anybody can follow what is saying once you are in the kingdom this is what the word of god says in chapter 12 of the book of romans says so then my brothers and sisters because of god's great mercy to us i appeal to you offer yourselves as a living sacrifice to god dedicated to his service and pleasing to him this is the true worship that you should offer present your bodies to god as a living sacrifice this is something that you do you are in the kingdom but god does not take your will away there is something for you and i to do and that is to present ourselves offer yourself to god say lord here i am come and dwell in me i present my body to you as a living sacrifice that is level one level two he says do not be confirmed do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world beloved kingdom standards are higher than the standards of this world the standards of this world say you love those who love you you hate those who hate you kingdom standards say love and pray for those who hate you those who call you enemies those who misuse you love them pray for them do not even cast them kingdom standards are higher than our athlete standards he says do not conform yourself to the standards of this world but let god transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind god wants to transform you now notice let god transform you you cannot transform yourself but you can allow god to transform you the transformation takes place when we actively submit to god and allow him to change our mind change our way of thinking change our values beloved god does this as we remain connected to the lord jesus christ the bible says that our ultimate goal why we need this transformation is so that we can give glory to god we were made to bring glory to god the bible says i made them for my glory that is finding your purpose when you realize the purpose for your creation then you fall into it god made you so that he can receive glory through your life glory we are told is the essence of his nature that's who he is glory is the weight of his importance the glory is the radiance of his splendor glory is the demonstration of his power the atmosphere of his presence let god be glorified through you that's your ultimate reason for being to bring glory to the living god and so the bible says this can only take place when your mind is renewed and that renewal is not by yourself that renewal is by god himself he's the one who does it for you because we lost the image of god his image is in which we lived was reflecting that glory but the way we now are by nature we lost that image not fully obliterated but we lost it so that when people look at us they don't see god in us kingdom life is being in a situation now where people can see god in your life again we are made in this image god is love and his love is selfless love not self-seeking love his love is self-sacrificing love his love is changeless love his love is unconditional love and that is what we are supposed to reflect now we are living in a self situation in a self-centered situation and one author says that until self is laid it is laid upon until we stop unselfishness we will not be able to reflect the glory of god self must die you must let self go if we are to reflect the glory of god self [Music] self must go that means that in the kingdom of god we are not looking at ourselves in the kingdom of god it's all about the glory of god the kingdom of god life in the kingdom of god is the life of the king himself shared with us that's life in the kingdom of god we begin to live the life of god on earth the connection of the branch as i've told you to the vine is such that the very life of the vine is seen in the branches and it is from the branches that you see the fruit that's how trees are outside you have the vine you have the branches and the fruit comes on the branches i know some fruits that come on the vine itself but this is just an illustration to show you that we are the branches in other words if anybody wants to see god they must now look at your life and my life kingdom mind is the mind of the kingdom of the king himself kingdom life is the life of the king himself shared with us god has shared his life with us and if anybody wants to see god today they must look at us the question is if the world looks at you and me today who named the name of god do they see god in us jesus told his disciples that i'm disappointed i have been with you for so long and yet you don't know the father yet the father is in me if you have seen me you have seen the father the same thing now god is saying if you submit to me and you allow me to transform your mind you will be just like him your activities your thoughts your actions will reflect god in your life and brother my sister my friend wherever you're watching from the world is waiting to see the image of god reflected in the christians in those who call themselves christians god is waiting for his image to be trans to be reflected in us god is waiting for his character to be formed in us and if you understand the kingdom message then the bible says let god transform you let god do it you can't do it for yourself you can't live by yourself it's a life in union with christ it is as you remain connected to christ jesus puts it like this take my yoke upon you take my yoke be yoked with me my yoke is easy my burden is light and you'll find rest for your souls this is facing life in tough times is taking the yoke of christ and as you do that as you get yoked with christ linked to christ connected to christ he begins to transform you and this transformation takes place day by day you as an individual may not know how much you are being transformed because you don't live by looking inwardly you live by looking unto jesus the author and finish of your faith and as long as you look unto jesus daily the transformation takes place even without you noticing people will notice the transformation but you because you are focused on christ you will not notice the transformation and so you may you remain you remain connected you remain looking unto jesus you remain walking by faith i know it because the bible says that in the last days there will be two categories of people one people one group will come to jesus and they will come boasting and they come before god and say lord don't you remember the things that we did we were able to throw our hands and people get healed we did this miracle we did that miracle we healed the sick and jesus will tell them i never knew you get away from me you who work iniquity and then he will turn to the other group and he will say enter ye into a kingdom prepared for you by the father from the foundation of the world because i was sick and you visited me i was hungry and you fed me i needed water you gave me water i was in prison you came and saw me and jesus they will answer to jesus and say lord we don't remember that are you sure you are talking about the right person and then jesus will say as much as you did it to these little ones you did it also unto me in other words those who are being transformed and living the life of god they live it so naturally they are not conscience of hate they are so focused on serving god that when they reach over there they'll be surprised of what god will be talking about them so the kingdom mindset is a mind that walks by faith by faith in him as a personal savior you formed that union the sinner unites his weakness to christ's strength his emptiness to christ's fullness he is friendly to christ enduring might that's how it does you unite that then he has the mind of christ the bible says have this mind that was also in christ jesus he was humble he was powerful but he never misused power can you imagine the bible saying that somebody came to jesus and slapped him he slapped the one who gave him power to breathe i told you i'm a sinner saved by the grace of god i'm just imagining that the way i am if i were christ and you slapped me [Music] my wicked mind can think of so many things i would have picked you in my hands i would have said now you breathe now you don't while i'm thinking of what to do with you i would have choked you so many times i would have just said now you are now you are not you would have been broken into little small pieces i would have denied you oxygen i am what i am today by the grace of god living he slapped he was loved and he says why did you slap me can you imagine god asking a creator why did you slap me brother this is kingdom life it's not a life of retaliation it's not a life of revenge he says do not revenge vengeance is mine i will repay he says the lord a life of humility it's a life of peace the bible says as much as is in you live at peace with all people now when you have power in your hands sometimes people expect you to misuse power use your power to destroy people the power that god gives us is not power for destroying his power for building up his kingdom i remember john and james before they left the kingdom life they were passing by a city and then the people in that city did not recognize did not recognize them they were walking with jesus and they are not recognized the bible says they looked at jesus and said man allow us these guys do not acknowledge us let us call fire from heaven and consume them that's the nature of the flesh of the flesh but jesus said oh oh you sons of thunder kingdom life is not like that beloved it's a life of humility and jesus says have this mind which was also in christ jesus even though he was god he did not hold on to being god in my country today we are waiting for election next year and everybody wants to be president everybody even some of you looking at me if you are given the opportunity you'll want to be the president you want to be the top man and i don't know whether you'll want it to build the people or for personal glory i don't even know i have not been into anybody's heart i don't know why they want to be leaders but the bible says jesus was already god he did not hold on to being god he let that go and instead he became a human being and when he found himself as man the bible says that he humbled himself he contained that power of being god he contained it so perfectly that even when it was people with power today try to more enterage was coming behind me some people picked me by the road they could have picked my vehicle and just dropped it by the side so that the president and his team may pass that was more than 20 years ago i had that experience and when that motorcade went by me it went like sh and within a short time they were gone and then they inspected that was standing by me smiled at me we understood i got into my vehicle and passed by some just want to be a president to experience that power jesus beloved had that power he spoke and the universe came into being he holds the universe in his hands his breath created life but yet he humbled himself and became man and when he found himself as a man he humbled himself to death and the bible says ye even death on the cross and when the devil came and said why why are you dying for these rascals the guys who spat on him and said prophesy unto us beloved they did all kinds of things unto him but he never retaliated and finally even the jews say that let his blood be on us but before he died he still had the courage to say father forgive them because they know not what they do that's my god that is the kingdom life is a life of forgiveness it's a life of humility it's a life of considering others better than yourself it's a life of celebrating others not being jealous of them it's a life of lifting up people not bringing them down it's a life of not talking about sins of others and for sick and forgetting yourself it's a life of love of a gap in love love that is relentless love that covers many evils then you develop the mind of christ we must develop the mind of christ the humanity of christ must touch our humanity and our humanity must touch divinity in christ this already took place we must be joined to him without connection with christ what i'm describing is impossible kingdom life is being constantly connected to god that this very life of christ that looks at the sinner and thinks good of the see now that's the kingdom life so the bible says this author says through the urgency of the holy spirit man becomes a partaker of the divine nature he is accepted in the beloved i'm reading that from the book desire of ages page 675 and by the way those of you who want desire of ages the first 20 people to say i need that book desire of ages the first 20 people i will give you a free copy so that you can find out what i'm reading that god has given us insight of how that union is formed this will be for those who are in this audience uh 10 for those who are here and 10 for those who are listening from outside i will give you a free copy so the bible says that when our humanity is joined to his humanity when our divinity is joined like that beloved we are accepted in the beloved and then we are living the kingdom life the secret of life in the kingdom therefore is the king's grace the king is always gracious grace beloved recreates the new life of the kingdom in us it's all by grace beloved there's nothing but self effort when it comes to kingdom life your self effort effort is to remain united and in that union the grace of god flows through you and the grace of god is what comes through you is grace from beginning and grace to the end wherefore the bible says if any man is in christ you are a new creation and that new life comes out through you now the secret of life in the kingdom beloved as i've said is the king is the grace of the living god in closing beloved the bible says that the grace of god that brings salvation titus chapter 2 and verse 11 the grace of god that brings salvation has appeared to all men this grace beloved the bible says teaches us to say no to sin and to live a life that is first of all temperate selfless godly righteous in this present life the grace of god has come to teach you just to bring salvation but more beyond salvation the grace of god is given to us to transform our lives so i want to say to you tonight that you want to face life you want to live the kingdom of life the kingdom life today you want to face life with courage in these last days the grace of god is available to you it is the grace of god that will give you power to love the grace of god will give you power to love the people in your life that you feel are unlovable number two the grace of god will give you power to forgive those who have hurt you so much number three the grace of god will give you power to live just to live and face life no matter what the situation number four the grace of god will give you power to give his power to forgive power to love power to live power to give and giving is the nature of god god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son beloved that whosoever believes should not perish but have everlasting life when god gave us his one and only son he gave us all that he had because it is through the son that he made all things it reminds me of this story of this man who sent an only son to the army and the boy went to the army and the boy was a good-hearted person and he saw a friend in the thick of the battle and the friend was shot but still alive and he risked his life and went to the friend picked up the friend and as he was running with a friend he was shot from behind and he fell him he died but the friend survived the friend was so touched that he drew the hands that picked him up and when the battle was over he went back to the father with a picture of his son as he could remember this friend was not a good artist but because of love he wanted to take a gift to the father of the man who saved him his dad the dad of the young man was a rich man he was having a great art gallery where you had expensive paintings all kinds of things and through depression and fear of losing his son and all that he lost the reason for living he didn't take long before he died and on the day when people came for the auction to sell all his goods many people came many people turned up but he had left an instruction that to buy all these things the first item that must be bought during the auction must be the picture the painting of his son they came and looked rich people came wealthy people came many people love artwork came and when they heard that the instruction is that you buy the the portrait of the sun fast they smile at one another because when they looked at the portrait of the sun it was not a great portrait and so they kept on chatting they kept on talking pulling their suspenders waiting for that ugly painting to go away so that they can buy the remainder and then the auction is kept on saying who will take the sun who will buy the sun who will take the portrait of the sun and there was no answer and finally finally the story goes that this man who was a servant at home he knew how much the father loved the son so he came with five dollars and said i will have the sun and then the auctioneer said the sun for five dollars the sun for five dollars people looked and smiled and they waited and they said the sun for five dollars going once the sun for five dollars going twice and they halted and waited nobody made a higher bid and then finally said the sun for five dollars gone and people clapped and they were happy and they said now let us start the auction and people started choosing what they want to go for and then someone came and stood on them on the podium and said brothers and sisters friends i'm sorry but i must announce to you that the auction is over and people said what what you mean nobody has bought anything here come on don't play with us we want to start the auction we cannot come all the way and then you tell us that today you only sell the portrait of the sun and then they are told it is the will of the father that whoever buys the portrait of the sun takes everything and the auction was over beloved 2000 years ago the king of the universe let his son go on calvary and he died for us today the bible says in first john chapter 5 verse 10 11 and 12 that he who has the son has the life and everything that belongs to the father the offer that you and i are given in the gospel is out of this world if you are the son of god you can face life if you are the son of god you will not be down if you are the son of god your wealth is beyond this world because all that he has you and i now have with him because we are joined heirs together with the sun you have the sun you have it all may god bless you that you consider where you are in this world where we desire so many things i pray to the lord that you will center your focus on the sun take the sun the bible says that his image was marred beyond recognition isaiah 53 says who has believed our testimony he was deformed that nobody could even recognize him but the bible says that yet he took our sins upon himself and beloved it is by his stripes that we are healed all of us had wandered away each one to his own place but god has laid on him the iniquity of us all so tonight wherever you might be anywhere on the face of this globe if you have the son of the living god you have life and no one can take it away from you because jesus i said that those whom the father has given unto me i shall by no means let go you are safe in christ you might be in a bed of sickness but you are safe in christ you might be worried about your situation but you are safe in christ if you have the son you've got the life may god bless you tonight in the name of the lord jesus christ and if you have not received the son you can receive him tonight because he is always waiting for you to turn your life around
